last time when our guild own a custom arena only the owner can top up the arena time when it ran out. is it still the same ?

would be nice if other people can also top up the arena without the need to be in the arena in the first place.

PPK would be nice but it has to take into account the size of both groups. Outnumbered no PPK award to enemies, killed by 2-5x your number no PPK awarded to your enemy.

that would be too extreme. how about double PPK when outnumbered ?

go to mid-tier server. they have better match up variation. T3,T4,T5.

yesterday i tried solo capping camp in wvw. so much easier with zerker LB. pew pew, entangle, barrage, then more pew pew… done.. lol.

nah.. just remove EotM and WvW will be back to normal…..

hmm it seems the thread has derailed from the original question of whether people are getting their precursor from TP (as oppose to from MF/drop) TO the discussion of farming gold for precursor….

i personally don’t like gambling on large scale, so that’s why i bought my precursors from TP.

You either spend your time farming mindlessly in the game or you spend it earning real money. The latter option earns you more gold over the same amount of time if you ask me so it makes better sense where gold farming is concerned.

except that not all countries have the similar wage system as in the USA, and their pay may not be as high… so these players opt to earn their gold by farming mindlessly like you said…

nope…. most of my gold were mostly from mining, back before the implementation of megaservers….. and i didn’t buy any gems ever with real money….

probably it is ANET’s way of saying “we do not encourage this dungeon path selling thing, but we won’t ban you either. do it at your own risk”

also the screenshots doesn’t tell all. there is nothing that show the wall damage percentage. i could simply accuse NSP of hacking as well, go to the top of that cliff , build a treb and hit their own Bay, just to provide false screenshot saying CD/DR is hacking… how about that ?

Yeah, what happened to no repeat matches ?

reduce the tick timer to 5 minutes but decrease also the scoring of each structure. for example :

currently the point for keep is 25 if you hold it at the 15-minute tick. change it to 8 points, but change the tick to 5-minute . basically reduce the time by a third but also reduce the scoring by a third to reflect the frequency.

this way will prevent the ppt politics, where certain servers wait only for the last 5 minutes to capture structures, due to the invulnerable buff of the Claiming Lord/Supervisor .

and also add 5-points for kill, no need stomp.

LOTRO raid is the best MMO raid for PvE i played so far.

yeah.. shutting down EotM will save 2 game modes i.e. WvW and PvE. those EotM karma trainer will have to go either WvW, or do that in PvE which also now seems to be lacking the number of players.

since they already rewarded the players weekly, i guess there is not much left to reward for final server position, apart from what they already mentioned.

My understanding of swiss style is that winner goes up, loser goes down and second stays. That didn’t happen last week in “Tier 1 matchup”. BG was first and JQ was second, but JQ got relegated to the “Tier 2 matchup”. Unless I am wrong, it wasn’t swiss style at all.

since we are already in the final day of the week, we can almost certainly conclude the total tournament point after this week end as the following :
15-YB, 12-CD ,11-DB,10-DR, 10-NSP, 9-SbI, 9-IoJ, 8-HoD, 6-BP

so, if the next match ups will strictly follow the swiss-style without ANET intervention, they will be :

YB vs CD vs DB (copy of Week 1 match up)
DR vs NSP vs SbI
IoJ vs HoD vs BP

note :
1. if these match ups happens, one of DR/NSP can become 2nd in overall tournament points, along with CD if they come 2nd in their match up.
2. SbI and IoJ are separated by glicko rating after this week match up end.

remove EotM, or at least make it available ONLY IF all the WvW maps for a server are queued. 4 maps queued —> EotM open.

if those people want to karma train in WvW let them be. PPT=karma train. no difference. at least those karma trainer help the competing servers in terms of PPT.

can’t get to real WvW because of queue ? de-stack.

EotM is good but the implementation is wrong. it should be made available only if all the WvW for your servers are queued, not a place that can be access from anytime. that way the outnumbered servers can always have their people on WvW.

Most MMO’s have an open PvP server, not a new concept.
And I gotta agree this would be a great, cheap way to offer some new options.

hard to do with megaservers. your land may overlap with others on a different instances, and no player is guaranteed to be on a specific instance he so desire.
