What is the burst skill for Hammer? It is not immediately obvious. Otherwise, that looks really cool.
Is that the current meta? Is it up on gw2skills?
Here is a potential hammer build I want to use, for open world pve and wvw. No dungeons. Please let me know if it’s decent, or if I should change stuff around.
Dang it! The more I read about Hammer Guardian, the more I wish I’d made a Warrior.
“Guardian Hammer is pretty nice, but in 90% of my PvE runs I’d rather not have a light field destroying my teams ability to stack might/heals. Different experiences of PvE I guess.”
Wait. The light field messes up other people stacking might/heals? How?
Everyone saying fake has obviously never been through a leaked update cycle before.
It’s only useful in wvw and some dungeons. I hardly ever see NPCs in the open world use missile weapons, and those that do are not that dangerous.
Mostly it will be open world pve and wvw. I don’t dungeon.
No one has an opinion? I’d at least like to know if the build is decent or terribly bad. Thanks!
I’m pretty happy with combat. The game is for casuals. People who keep wanting harder combat should move to games that are designed for it, so they don’t ruin this game for the majority of players.
I think the whole Scarlet plot is crap, and destroying my favorite city just to keep the world changing is incredibly stupid on anet’s part. It’s like they want people to get angry and quit.
Just wondering if a build focused on shouts with some hammer stuff is worth running.
Possible build: http://preview.tinyurl.com/mzz3f5r . For gear, I’m thinking knights or berserkers.

I plan on pve and wvw, maybe some dungeons. Not going full AH, as with Knights I don’t think I’ll need it. It’s heavily focused on symbols, as well. Does this look good, or are there some glaring errors?
I do want Retreat, as it is way too useful for open world pve. Maybe swap it for something while in wvw though. Any suggestions? (not sure if Sigil is necessary or use something else there, either)
Not sure about second set. Maybe a weapon that gives a run speed boost.
I would like to do a mes with scepter and either focus or torch. Mainly pve, and at 80, i’d probably do some wvw, but still mainly pve (a few dungeons but not a lot).
Is scepter even worth bothering with, or are swords and staves just so much better that’s all that is worth using?
Luckily for everyone, anet is going to jump right on these bugs and fix them!
The Lovestruck Hammer is aimed squarely at Mesmers, who can’t use it.
It’s a shame mesmers can’t use hammers
As long as skills have to work well in both pvp and pve, gw2 will be lackluster in esports.
I support this!
Why do players think that just because they don’t like an aspect of a game that many others players do like, that anet should ban that activity?
There is nothing wrong with champ bags. What they should do is increase the rewards in Orr and other level 80 zones, so 80s would go there.
How about a permanent tree-cutting chainsaw? I’d happily buy one.
I disagree completely with the OP.
Remove every Legendary in the game from every character, then reboot the system and make it tougher. See how many people who think Legendaries are too easy suddenly change their tune.
I’d like to thank anet’s customer support for how they handled my support ticket. Without going into particulars, they did an outstanding job. Just thought I’d let everyone know about this.
Where do I encounter these guys?
How do you submit a support ticket?
Everyone is in a city, Queensdale, Frostgorge, or wherever the current LS is (Kessex at this time). Most other zones will have maybe 5 players on them (and this is Tarnished Coast). I still say bumping up rewards in Orr, while changing nothing else, would get more 80s there.
For the achievement for Toxic Alliance, I’ve got Krait and Nightmare Court done. Who else counts for this? The achievement gives no hint as to who I should target.
If anet keeps nerfing everything, this game will soon have a bunch of empty servers.
Buffing Orr rewards would fix a LOT of problems with the endgame.
No, it is the current release.
If you could only play one character, what would it be? I’m probably having the most fun with my asuran necromancer, but I’d also strongly consider running a human thief.
I think way too many people think that just because they don’t like something, no one else should be able to do it.
One thing I have noticed is the fans run a bit while I’m playing the game. But every single time, within 30 seconds of me exiting game or even just shrinking it to the taskbar, every fan in my case kicks into high gear. Is there some setting in the game that prevents the case fans from running?
Yeah, tab-targetting is even worse than it used to be. Kind of sad.
And it just did it again. I’m seriously considering just uninstalling your game. Do something aobut this.
(and all you guys who know nothing about computers, please don’t give advice).

Yes. It is clean.
More info. Ever since patch, my graphics card revs hard almost the entire time I’m in game. It’s a GTX 550. There is no way in heck an mmo should do that. The BSOD kicks in maybe 5 to 10 minutes after I launch gw2.
I have shadows turned off, and a lot of other stuff turned to medium or low.
Something you guys changed in the graphics is overloading a graphics card that should play this game with everything turned on with no problems.
I’ve attached the event log. not sure if this will help.

I’m getting the Blue Screen of Death from this game. I used to have this problem maybe 5 or 6 months ago, but you all fixed it. It returned after last patch. Please fix it, as while I love gw2, I’m not going to ruin my computer to play it.
BSOD happens only with this game, no others (League of Legends, Skyrim). Not sure why.

I’m wondering how long it will take for people to realize that thanks to the new magic find system, it might actually be more rewarding to run around in Orr killing mobs.
Yep. Bombs and grenades definitely need nerfed to bring them in line with all of the other kits.
You can’t make champs in queensdale harder to kill. It’s a starter area.
I was excited about Halloween, but then anet decided we didn’t need chainswords and all of the other cool stuff from last year. Hence, the only activity I even bothered with was pumpkin carving.
Why can’t they give us a couple Gadget traits? I love gadgets!
Just curious how much, if any, people have spent on this game following their initial purchase. I’ve probably dropped $100 in the gem store, mainly for the medium armor sets and gathering tools.
Orr is usually an empty zone, because it’s so annoying due to so many undead. Why not increase the rewards from hearts and quests on this map only, to encourage level 80s to actually go there? Don’t change any of the current monsters even, just make it worthwhile to be there, compared to just about any other zone in the game. Heck, even adding 10 silver to each reward would increase participation here.
Please add gauntlets as weapons. Make some similar to gloves (look like typical armor gauntlets), and maybe some as big asura/charr-inspired huge powerfists.
