A easy way to do this is to make the grouping and parting up having to use all the classes, so we don’t see, classes left out, you go into dugeouns and they want certain class with certain type of armor(beserker) and you have to be an experience player on that particular dugeoun or whatever, so alot of players feel left out, to the point some players don’t want to be members of guilds, won’t go into pvp or www because they feel intimidated or afraid to get cursed out, the atmospher of the game has become so toxic, that if you don’t have beserker gear, and follow the metabattle builds they don’t even want to hear a whisper from, you, i would really hope that the developers would fix this with HOT.

What a hooooooooooooorible idea.

I have no desire to be locked out of grouping with my friends simply because they are on the same profession as myself or another friend.

I fully intend on playing it! That’s how my full opinion will be formed, but the first impression was not good. I’m at work for the next couple hours though.

Whose first impression? You said you haven’t played it yet, but your speaking for the rest of the community on their behalf? Perhaps you should stick to sharing your opinion, and not presume to tell us what everyone elses is?

This wasn’t based on just the forums. The general consensus across the few GW2 fan sites I visit has not been good at all.

Were these sights in which you were a voted representative and speaker of the people?

The current reviews of Daredevil are not making me hopeful for Forge.

They said Daredevil was one of the ones they had the most refined, and they had worked the longest on. If this is true for Forge my hype train might derail.

At least Herald is awesome!

I ma playing DD right now and I like it a lot. You have access to it. Go, try it yourself. I advise that over reading discussion on a website in which most only come visit in order to complain.

Pleasing everyone with the Option would’ve been a solution that everyone would’ve been happy with. Really not sure why they didn’t go that route.

You cannot simply “make a toggle” for utility skills visuals. When fighting an opponent, it is important that you have a consistent visual cue, so you know what is coming and how to counter it.

I am against completely ruining the ability to counter skills in a game. with multiple competitive game modes. over adding something that was overwhelmingly unpopular, as an option.

Thing is you get your movement boosts out of inventions or out of tools. If you take one you won’t take the other because you still need alchemy and either firearms or explosives.

You are both assuming to tell me where I get my movement speed, and being absolutely wrong about it, at the same time. I applaud you sir.

I get my perma swiftness from neither.

Its kinda stupid to have 2 masters that are both miles better than our GM’s but its still no contest since the one is a staple and always has been.

Hmm, you appear to mistakenly feel your opinion of a traits value is an actual fact. It is unfortunate that you feel they should make significant changes based on you making inaccurate assumption. Who do you suppose that would benefit?

Because right now the message seems to be that ANET does care if EU plays the beta or not. Seriously, how much feedback from EU is lost because you overlap the start and ends times with the times that people want to sleep.

Can you quote where they stated this, or anything like it?

it is unfortunate that players think so much of themselves, that they feel a staff of employees should be forced to shift their sleep schedules and life schedules, just to suit them specifically.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I work rotating swing shifts, and the last beta and this one fall on the weekends I work my 12 hour night shifts. I am not self centered enough to complain that they should change their lives or the beta schedule to suit me.

What do you do for a living. I would love for you to share that, so we may critic how you mistreat your customers by not conforming to a self centered subsection.

What I’m trying to say isn’t ‘people should play the way i like to play’ its ‘please support the playerbase and stop communities from turning on each other’.

that is not supporting the community. That is supporting a very very small subsection of the community, for your personal benefit, that devotes devtime to your personal wants, while taking it away from the rest of the community.

I have no problem with people preferring ‘organic’ fights or ‘strategic’ fights. Others prefer balanced matches that pit one team’s skill and organisation against another’s. I’d just like there to be a way for them to co-exist.

You just described PvP, designed more for this.

It strikes me as very poorly thought out, to used the word “balanced” when in the subforums for the game mode that has been advertised as unintended for direct profession balance since before release.

Currently, all we get is interrupted fights, wasted evenings and usually the blame for when a server’s community turns on itself.

While the rest of us get nothing but space wasted by players not participating in the goal of this aspect of the game. Personally I feel your complaint of being attacked by other players in a game made designed for fighting other players for territory is a counterintuitive argument.

Its not about who prefers what, its about top-down initiatives that will keep different types of players enthusiastic about the gamemode. We’re getting Raids for the PvE community why not support the Guild oriented PvP (i.e GvG) community?

Because there is nothing to support they represent anything less then the smallest majority of the player base. Why should they cater to an insignificant minority in a video game?

Given the guild hall arena fights, your complaint seems odd to me. They took the time to give you what you want there, and you go on cluttering up this subforums to demand more?

Some of those new upgrades do look like kitten. Wtkitten is with the banners? As if broken mesmers and miau wasn’t enough, now we have all of these random things branching out into bizarre game play. There’s no correlation anymore and WvW has become the blender for whatever the miaumiau they want to toss in. Dinosaurs, spirit banners, element towers, magi tech siege, broken classes that can kitten well permanent invis, .. what even in the kitten is going on?

So what is your actual issue with the aspect you mentioned?

All you have done is list some things and deemed them as bad, with no explanation. You going to hash that out, or are you simply here to jumble the WvW forums with unexplained complaints?

So plz tell me i am wrong and thats not why the game as gone f2p, next step will be full empty and hackers alley with all this free accounts

Why are people transferring so many times?

How long have you been away from some of those servers that you can suggest you have any concept of the current community?

I’m not sure the reason for others transferring so many times but for myself I’ve transferred a lot because as I’ve said, I was looking for a good happy medium between my preferences. Since I’m guildless, I’m free to go where ever I please. All of the servers I’ve been on until DH have been missing something I was looking for. Admittedly, I’m picky with what I consider a “good” server but as always, that’s just personal opinion and preference.

I agree with the last statement however. Most of the servers I’ve been on I’ve been away from for a long time. The last time I was on Dragonbrand was almost two years ago. The communities could be and probably are totally different now. Still, the impressions I got from them stay the same and what I know about them is how I feel about them.

I gathered there would be different reasons for different posters. Some appeared to have been on more them half the servers in their region, so it really makes me curious as to the reasoning. I know some people are just plan restless, and like to change for the sake of change itself. Hopefully a few more folks will chime in with their answers as well.

And your point is? I assume you have some point here, as I cannot see one. I believe I was correct, but everyone survived it, the no white swords event was pretty good and the PPK was ok too.

they tried an event, and good, bad, or indifferent, the negativity towards it was overwhelming. Some of that negativity was from you. So it makes the request from those who displayed such negativity on previous events, hard to take seriously.

I believe the title says it all, I find it unbelievably disappointing how little effort is made by Anet to even throw us the tiniest bone in WvW to break up the stale monotony of week after week of the same match ups, same fights, more and more players leaving… Now with less than 2 months to go before the release of HoT we can all be sure that any possibility of a “special WvW event week” is pretty much gone… very lame.

It can’t be unique to raids if it is obtainable from other sources.

I do not feel the issue is with raids having unique gear that is unobtainable from other sources. The issue is other sources do not get unique and unobtainable gear of their own outside of PvP.

Why hello WoW, nice to see you again….

Now, before someone blows up at me, let me clarify. I have no issue with raids having its own set of unique rewards, including a legendary gear set. I am; however, peeved that raiding is the only way to obtain a legendary gear set. Anet is essentially saying “Don’t like raiding? Too bad. Do it, or you’ll never finish your legendary collection.” This is very different than raids having a unique skin set locked to them.

Yeah, just one more thing I am pushed out of WvW for in order to acquire it. As a primarily WvW focused player, I am beginning to feel punished for sticking to what I enjoy, by having to leave it to have any access to such things.

Med-Kit is triggering sigills and runes which grant something for each healing skill activations. It should be on F1, like the engineer traits which benefit healing skills.

Health insurance does not increase your rezzing. Don’t know, is this intended? I got the thought healing power and healing in general should benefit rezzing.

I disagree. I think the traits should work when equipping the medkit, like they used too. I feel that is what should be changed back, and not changing it so that runes and sigils function on F1 use.

WvW vets prior to F2P: “EOTM is just a k-train and isn’t real big boy WvW, it’s a joke.”
WvW vets after F2P introduced: “Restrict F2P accounts to EOTM so they can get a feel for what WvW is like and entice them to buy the game, else we’ll get more trolls in WvW.”

How toxic, misleading, vile and wrong. What a bunch of salty children these people are; laughing off how EOTM is basically PvE with little pvp interaction (which it mostly is, given the k-trains) and yet wanting to dump fresh blood into the game by restricting them THERE stating it’ll entice players to buy the full game.

Yes, dump all the would-be new guildies, players, server buddies, friends etc into a joke of a game mode.

Personally, I think “overshield” (shield trait that lowers cooldown by 20% and gives 3s of protection on shield skill use" might be a good place to add resistance to. Giving shield skills more of a solid and equivalent defensive value.

Yeah, it is screwy. I really liked how swapping to the kit used to trigger “on heal” traits. The June 23 update changed that. I don’t like it, but it is what it is.

The death blow to the Engi was imo toughness being worthless.

Full rabid or full zerk it doesn’t make that much difference any more, especially in 1v1s in WvW.

That is a bit of a pointless argument. group up, it is an MMO, that is kind of the point. Particularly when it is in the context of the game mode designed around large group combat.

One other reason you cannot have varying “optional” effects for different skills, is because the cast animations of skills are a necessity for skilled players to dodge the right skills. If you go adding optional effects for skills just to suit one poster, you harm the game as a whole.

give engineers that OPTION (so they can choose the animation)
and you’d get alot of ex rifle warrior
as well as alot of theifs who were hoping for a sniper elite profession.
and even rangers who were hoping for a rifle.

the “minority” you speak of is divided in multiple classes. so is it a minority?

or is it the majority.
looking at the number of people who wanted a sniper class (as thief elite profession). i’d say we have alot more people than you think.

If you actually believe a single weapon skill animation will bring players over from plating warrior and thief, then I feel your not realistically aware of what they are asking for.

I will take my dev time devoted to functionality and game play, any day of the week, over having it wasted on adding a single “optional” animation change.

None of the other professions have had anything released outside of their Elite Spec. It is an assumption, but I feel it is a pretty sure one to say that these drones have something to do with Elite Spec.

Wait, your claiming to know that other profession will get absolutely nothing out of HoT, besides what we have seen about the ES? I would think it is reasonable to assume that we may see a lot of reworked skills with the release of HoT.

I also do not think it is possible a rework of turrets is the Elite Spec in any way. I can’t imagine the outcry on these forums if Anet did not give Engis new skills but only reworked terrible ones as the “Elite Spec that should fundamentally change the way your profession works”.

Where did I suggest a rework of the turrets had anything to do with the ES? If you are jumping to such irrational conclusion as to claim my comments referred directly to the ES, then I don’t know what to say.

I would like to think there would be many skills reworked for HoT, but I have no idea why anyone would assume needed reworks or needed redesigned are linked directly to the ES.

It did work that way. You just disnt notice.
I know its not a proof, but check gw2skill: when you check skillfacts of acid bomb and super elixir while having alchemical tinctures slotted it says “remove 1 condition” (it says it 2 times for super elixir, since it already removes 1). The same applies to healing mist.

I may be wrong, but the most reliable Gw2 builder says I’m not, so.. you know, it can be wrong too, but what are the chances?

I am not sure “proof” means what you think it means. All you did was link to an inaccuracy in the builder. It is far from the first time that, or any other builder has been inaccurate.

Evidence would be a video of it working in game, which doesn’t exist, because it never worked in game.

Let me get straight to the point: EG#4, #5 and EG Toolbelt Skill don’t remove an extra condition anymore. Prior to the last patch they used to remove an extra condition due to the interaction with Alchemical tinctures.

No, they never removed an extra condition. That trait has never effected those skills in any way since the traits existence.

The trait has specifically stated it only effects consumed and tossed elixirs, specifying it doesn’t work with EG.

Due to a bug this no longer occurs, as Healing Mist, Acid Bomb and Super Elixir do not remove conditions.

Also, since we’re here, can we pretty please make Elixir F an elixir aswell (compensating, of course, with a CD increase)? It already is a pretty meh/useless skill, let’s make it interesting.

Yeah, it kind of should be an elixir since it is in the name and all. As it misses half the time, I see no need to increase the CD.

Spirits need to be reworked anyway, because the passiveness is counter to the games apparent philosophy.

Yes, you do. That is what LoS is. It is equivalent for everyone. If you can see it, so does your character for all intents and purposes.

No, that skill is the tool belt skill for the grenade kit. It does throw 6. The regular grenade kit will always throw 3 for each skill.

I’ve heard this line so many times. I believe this was mentioned by a dev years ago? Why not demand. You’re swallowing the words of someone. What’s worse is you paid him. You have a flight of stairs. Your goal is the top. You can’t reach that unless you start climbing the flight of stairs and stop listening when he’s shouting it’s too high when he could’ve held your hand to make the climb even easier. i’m sorry i don’t buy it. they can start by looking at some of their conditions, food, armors, but then again this shouldn’t be new to them. it’s been complained over and over and over and ignored over and over and over and will be ignored over and over and over.

Horrible analogy. You cannot climb the stairs of WvW alone. It takes group play to win a week. The mode is balanced for group play, not on a one to one direct scale.

I think damage as a whole could use about a 25% reduction across the board personally. But to say anyone is swallowing words, strike me as absurd. In my opinion, it is very reasonable to understand that you cannot balance professions in various gear on a one to one comparison system in large scale combat.

if conditions will require other 2 stats to be effective (let’s say, precision and ferocity), so even condi builds have to balance attack and defense, than maybe we can remove condi duration foods. remove even the +40% duration, obviously.

Until someone post a damage comparison and proves imperial evidence thay dire gear vastly out damaged soldiers gear, that is a pointless argument. I have seen evidence posted thay showed the fairly equivalent in most cases. So I do not know where this my the thay condition builds need less offensive stats.

I am just going to unleash this very unpopular opinion here: I do not want to see EIB back. It is a boring and passive healing. Instead of that Idd say they would buff soothing detonation a bit(bigger healing power scaling) and change medical dispersion field. Remove cooldown, limit it to heals you have created and make or heal yourself and allies for 5% + 1% every 150 healing power you have

You are certainly welcome to your opinion. But what about the masses that liked it, used it, and want it back?

Hence dire (or dire with a bit of rabid) is a total joke in terms of balance, it is low risk and high reward, which is why it got thrown out of PvP pretty sharply when they initially put it in there, but apparently stuff that is considered too broken OP for PvP is fine for WvW…

15 to 30 of my guildies against an equivalent number of 15 to 30 of your guildies, your entire team wears all dire, we will all use PVT, and put your bad theory to the test?

It is majority rules, not the smallest minority rules.
