This is definitely a tactic mate, and a clever one. sometimes u do this a few times, they get used to it being tagged, and u go for it for real, they don’t show up as quick bc they think its just another tag.
eles seem to do quite well in solo q in particular because they are fast.
They really should make transferring to a tier 7 or 8 server free.
Not really looking for guilds to join, looking for what servers have decent population at those times, I was thinking of helping lower servers out. And just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be the only one running around.
Do any of the lower tier 7 and 8 servers have a decent crowd on during late hours or oceanic hours.
Say 9 pm eastern, to 4 am eastern?

YOu can Q in team arena with 2 or 3 I heard. But I also heard you will end up facing 5 man teams almost 100% likely, and you could have a huge wait time as you need other partial teams/individuals to q solo.
Playing with friends is a huge issue in spvp.
You can join hotjoins, and try to wiggle to be on same team, or you can join tournaments as a 5 man, if your lucky to have 4 friends on. But trying to play with 1 or 2 other people is hard. As of now your best bet is hotjoins, as tournaments are either solo Q, or Q with five.
The new blunderbuss skill has had its range updated from 400 to 500. However! The new tooltip continues to point out the skills damage at 200/400 range. Rather than 200/500 as I guess it should be.
Since the ability does different damage at different ranges, simply updating the range of the ability is insufficient.
Overall, this is the best list of changes I have seen in any update from an ‘you get it’ point of view. So that is very encouraging. Not to say there aren’t things to nitpick over. But still, reasonably solid list.
I also thinks its great that you are using the community resource prior to releasing. Maybe there is something here that will wildly effect the game in a way not forseen and someone can head that possibility off.
Personally I like being outnumbered, target rich environment is fun, I play more for the killing players in pvp, than for objective taking though.
I think lack of rewards that could be carried out into the rest of the game is one of the primary reasons spvp population suffered.
This would probably be really hard to implement, pause was built from start with league, and remember this is an mmo with a continuous world, not descreet games being played.
The relative lack of skill that CC warriors/ spirit rangers take is the most frustrating thing about them.
1) closest to druid is ELE. Ele is actually decent at Solo Q because its very fast, but struggles in team play in the current meta.
2) There is both solo Q and team Q arena. Also wvwvw you should check out (though you will need to pve up to have decent gear/level before doing wvwvw). IN spvp you can just jump right in.
3) do yourself a favor, when you pick a class post here asking for specs. Don’t try to figure it out on your own during the beginning.
I love deathmatch, but I really do wonder if this game can handle Death match. Its just a bit weird to do it with this games mechanics.
If your in hotjoin/custom arena , this is true. IF you do tournies, you will see map mechanics used a lot more. Especially in team tournies.
There are not enough ‘bad’ teams quing in the team ranked Q for new players to have a chance. They are not all good teams by any stretch of the imagination, but if your truly new to spvp, you wont find an equal match up.

heck even solo vs team Q is different.
You see less eles in team Q than solo for example…eles seem to hold up fairly well in solo because speed matters a lot. In fact I think if you wan to be successful at solo Q , play a bunker, or play a fast class.
I still don’t understand why they don’t use the recourse of player opinions. ( I know most player opinions are worthless) but the devs know , at least the amongst pvp players, which opinions are not worthless and worth checking.
While I have a statiscally small sample of solo quing, about only 18 tournies since returning. I have had skyhammer for about 5 of them, but that’s hardly indicates anything. I will keep an eye however.
One of the issues with not being able to play team games prior to tournies, is it makes your initial tourney experience awful , while u get absolutely destroyed by experienced players. this barrier to entry really prevents a lot more players from getting into competitive play.

What he means is casual with teammates, some custom arenas , or if u get ur own custom arena will allow you to play with friends..
but yes, inability to play with friends is an issue.
Gold, or additional rewards should be only in the tourney format. Not hotjoin/custom.
This issue creates afkers, they need to make sure they reconfirm are present before they allow the actual tournament to pop.
come to spvp, 0 gear earning, only thing u can farm up is appearance.
attaching glory earning to actual match winning is a great idea. the top player on the losing team should be making as much as the last player on the winning team.
Or make people reconfirm they are not akittenstead of a match popping. Then after confirmation, start the match.
So about 5 months ago I quit GW2 because of CONSTANTLY getting 4on5’s due to a lack of a team and solo quing vs premades.
I come back bc I heard about solo Q and though this would reduce it. NOpe just added 3 losses to my record, two 4on5’s and a 3on5. I know ur going to lose some solo quing, but its nice for it to be at least a fair loss.
Please, PLEASE do something to reduce quitting /akitteng. LIke introducing strong quitter/afk penalties.
Some solid ideas. HOWEVER, the first one would be hard in this game, because unlike league of legends, classes undergo way more changes in this game. So linking to a video on the classes strengths and weaknesses would have to be updated a lot.

Can he delete that character, then since he has no toons on any server, reroll on the server of his choice? Or does he have to pay for the transfer with gems?

What server has reasonably good world vs world late at night ( like 10 pm to 4 am EST) east coast time.
Both in terms of having a reasonable amount of people on the server, and a fair amount of ppl typically on the servers your fighting so u have things to kill.
Right now I am on Anvil rock, and it seems to get low action come later time, but maybe i’m wrong only been out a few times since coming back.
Is anvil rock a good late night server? Or were can I find one.
I want to avoid tier 1 -3 servers though , I kinda like being a bit of an underdog.
Man this is so weird, I came back to gw2 just like 2 days ago, and when I left Eles where like completely OP and dominating SPVP, some teams even ran three of them.
Ya I dislike this aspect, when you are new u might make a lot of mistakes. But that’s to be expected, ppl can be real kittens. If I saw someone rank 30+whos terrible I might say something, but someone whos brand new? let em learn .

You know. Lions arch map chat is a great place to advertise. I just found out about this tournament 5 mins ago. Saw 970 people watching on twitch, I went to anvil rock lions arch and mentioned it in map chat, and the viewer count went up 200 a few seconds later. IDK how much if any of that was caused by me spamming but you guys should really announce stuff in game if its a big official tournament.

I suspect if engies seem to be doing well its because they have decent condition removal, and condition is heavy in the meta atm.
Having said that, they can’t (unless a lot of changes since I last played) have stability +good condition removal reliably, so CC and focused power burst is the way to deal with engies.
Hmm I guess I though the tier one serves didn’t need help. I take it the slightly lower tier 2 and 3 servers would be much the same, just slightly less zerg?
Tier 1 is best during the off hours, prob like playing on a T3 during peak.
Ive heard tier ones servers can have Q times to get into wvwvw, and I kinda like running small groups and ganking, so was hoping to avoid huge zergs.
I want enough targets to keep me occupied but enough that im forced to zerg to be able to do anything.
Orbs would be better if they gave a non combat -yet important -bonus. Like + magic find %, or + drop rate on currency tokens.
Whats a non super high pop server that has good wvwvw from 9 pm eastern to 3 am eastern. Isn’t too zergy, but isn’t dead either, so u can definitely find things and bigger groups to fight.
For gods sake , give us a way to make gold in spvp. I am tired of being broke compared to my pve friends because I choose to do something else.
Im curious chaith about what u mean you say guardians and thiefs have unique roles that are ‘above the meta’. IM not sure what you mean by above the meta?
The best I can think is that thiefs will always be roamers and guardians seem to nearly always be bunkers.
