They didn’t have it for wintersday 2014, I know because I rolled a character just for that helm and was disappointed it never showed up in the gem store
I’m also curious about this. I used that address to report an exploit about ten days ago and did not receive a response. I don’t expect a personal reponse on the matter but some sort of auto-comfirmation or something would be nice to get – to indicate that it was received. That is, if it still is the right address.
oh glad to hear i’m not the only one who used this address
It’s possible that you’re experiencing a similar problem that popped up about a year ago, but ANet is actually receiving your report due to how the system is set up. There’s also an in-game function to report bugs which has a little tickbox for “Exploitable Issue” and the ability to take a screenshot too.
Thanks for linking to this post. I’d really like to know if it’s the same kind of error and the message was received or if there is a different address now.
Hi, last time I tried reporting an exploit on the forums I was infracted and told I should send reports of exploits to exploits@arena.net. I tried sending a mail to that address and got a permanent delivery failure error. Is this not the correct email address? If so please let me know what the correct one is.
I saw the tag in wvw so I didn’t get their account name.
I’ve already used the in game “report inappropriate name” function but I don’t think it’ll be clear that it’s regarding the guild name/tag. thanks
Can’t play pvp so I went SW and I can’t do the labyrinth either. Having massive lag spikes regularly.
Same, everyone else in match reporting the same lag. Almost unplayable.
I’ve loaded into a few areas and the broken armor still appears in world normally though it is missing on the equipment screen.
Is this a new “feature”? Since when?
I was wondering why those afkers in SW are never naked…
Bumping because there are some guilds with blatantly foul names that I and others have reported for months with absolutely no result (i’d try to write one of them here but i’d get banned for vulgarity if not for specifying who’s breaking the rules).
for the last four hours i’ve d/ced every 10-15 minutes… help
Same
/15characters
My internet is fine, i’ve been listening to a podcast as I try to play. I just keep getting d/ced from gw2.
I and other people i’ve been playing with have been randomly disconnected from the game servers once if not more a day for the last week.. anyone else experiencing this? It seems much more frequent than before.
With the halloween copypaste the ranger had updated speed.
I’m not dissing svanir/chief/lord, they’re good for testing builds in combat. But it can be fun messing around with the class npcs even though they’re all awful representations.
This title looks like a mess but the glitch I just had in a ranked match was a mess too. Almost immediately after respawn the map disappeared and I fell a while into water and was completely stuck without going back to character select.
Later in the same match three people including myself d/ced completely and almost everyone was getting severe lag spikes.
I just got skyham in soloq match, first time i respawned I glitched through the map, fell for ages into water and was stuck until I relogged. The rest of the match we all had huge lag spikes and 3 people including myself d/ced.
Ranking such a match is a joke.
When this is open again i’m interested.
All the npcs are semi worthless as examples of the class, but they do fight back with knockbacks/condis etc in ways the svanir/chieftain npcs dont. At least the ranger can actually kill glass who don’t know how to gap close, and provide a way to test how to get past rapid fire for newer players. I know because i’ve watched people in the builds and classes they usually play get killed by rapid fire lb ranger npc. It is really weird it doesnt have a pet though, considering the pet is already AI…
When they copypasted the halloween lobby back in it came to my attention the ranger npc returned as well as the lake. I hadn’t noticed it missing but we had a great time killing it since it plays almost exactly like many actual ranger players.
Did it get moved somewhere or is it just gone for good? Seems like an oversight.
What’s the point of it being infinite then? After the cap it wouldn’t make any difference to nix the notifications, or make some notice on the achievement that it stops after 250 AP. The notification gets my hopes up only to let me down a little.
I’ve completed this achievement 300 times, but the number of AP i’ve gotten seems to be capped at 250. Why is the achievement listed as infinite if there is a cap? And why do I keep getting the pop up notifying me that I’ve gotten it when it doesn’t award any more AP?
This sounds awesome.
This is a problem in wvw. Sucks when you’re in a clutch group skrim and BOOM knocked flying by level up, entire fight lost. It’s never bugged me in pve but it’s an oversight to keep it in wvw, or have it work against other players at least.
- Sometimes I join unlabeled lfg parties in Open World Content and then do what that party is doing without any idea of what it will be going in.
I’m so mad the personal story doesn’t have more order mentor shenanigans. I have no emotional investment in the final battle with Zhaitan because the characters I really had time to grow fond of and care about arent part of the story anymore.
- The Dredge cultural quirks are really bad (borderline racist?) psudeo-Russian and it makes me uncomfortable. Same with the centaurs, though as antiquated racist stereotypes of indigenous people such as Plains Indians etc. The human’s colonialism and the game’s enthusiastic endorsement of it bugs me and though I have a human character I never play him and don’t want another.
- I like the bestial hunched over charr better than the more generic “furry” model from gw1. I can watch the char all-fours running animation for ages because it’s so cool to see the animal/human combo in motion.
- The dialogue between mad king thorn and the prince in the labyrinth is awful to listen to. Child and spousal abuse and violence HAHA what a fun backdrop to have on neverending loop -__-
- When i’m roaming in wvw if I make awkward eye contact with an enemy but they don’t start attacking, i won’t attack them either and will sometimes just go stand with them before peacefully parting ways. It restores my faith in people.
- I’m still bitter toys were taken out of wvw.
- If I fight someone without bronze in their title who seems very new to wvw or can be downed in just a few hits I won’t stomp them, just down them and back off.
the answer is up above, you can convert skill point to gold, its a currency used by mystic toilet npc, basically, you craft things in forge with stuff bought with skill point, and sell it on TP. Beside that, crafting legendary require skill point, so its not useless at all.
I’ve made two legendaries and don’t feel like sinking the time and money into another, and changing regular siege to superior is a pain in the kitten , trying to use up 500+ skillpoints on a single character takes so long I don’t want to bother with it. I’d rather have some way to get rid of the scrolls/tomes.
If you want to convert Tomes to gold, you might try keyfarming.
I’m not buying another character slot until the trait system changes. Right now I have 8 characters, one of each class and I have no intention of deleting any.
If there’s some other way to use up skill points besides material promotion to make profit i’d love to know.
I play every game mode daily, the tomes just add up over time. I would LOVE to be able to trade them to people who actually want them. I wouldnt even care if I got profit from it, I have a ton of friends who would chew off a leg for as many tomes as I have and frankly i’d just as soon throw the tomes away.
I have two stacks of tomes of knowledge from pvp, and that’s after leveling two characters from 0 to 80. I have no plans to roll another character until the trait system changes.
Can these please be made tradeable or vendable to merchants at least? It’s such a waste them just sitting there uselessly. I have more than enough skillpoints and levels on my 80s from just playing the game. Every time I get a tome from pvp or black lion chest it’s a total waste.
Agreeing with the disappointment of the copy paste. Makes the game feel cheaper and doesnt fit with the goal to have the world permanently change and progress.
but they actually made a new cool outfit please dont tell me it was that hard to just give it to male as well as female…
Why oh why do we not get the awesome hat, and instead get something that looks almost exactly like the witches outfit?
WHY
I haven’t seen hide nor ghostly hair of it but my guildie just posted that her lucky asura got it in the first day or two of farming (and a cat of darkness besides). Here’s her pic for those asking for proof it will drop.
I was just about to post the exact same picture LOL
looks like we have the same friend.
So now we’ve agreed there’s a problem what do you think the solution should be?
My first choice would be to make it tradeable, but that’s because I think all minis should be tradeable.
I think every skin and reward from living story should be tradeable if it’s difficult to obtain. Ambrite skins and nopale foods etc. Let the market determine their worth, and let people who arent really into those rewards for themselves make profit from playing, not farming or flipping junk on the TP.

You know who is really sensitive and protective of their culture? The Tengu. Is there anything Tengu-related that would be viable?
This is a really cool idea. Maybe the cylindrical container might be a quiver, and the item an arrow? /shrug
When I get an empty room my jumping ability is a lot better since I have anxiety issues… Wish there were a reliable way to do the puzzle alone.
A city with blocks and alleyways- DR, Ebonhawke or LA. LA is the only place with a bay. The NPCs in LA are also currently hotly punishing looters after the destruction of the city. The object he wanted he had to steal, maybe from the merchants. He’s two blocks away from the bay, and may have come from near the sewers- So near where the mystic forge used to be. This failed theft takes place two days after he acquires the ghostly item from a merchant.
Lion’s Arch is not on a bay. It’s on a harbor. Google GW2 Bay and you’ll see there are a limited number of “bays” in Tyria. However, one of them is notably in Southsun…
There’s no city in southsun, alleys, or blocks. LA is the only city where there is a lot of water within the map. Since there are four different components needed for a recipie it makes sense that they’d come from different locations, rather than all 4 needing to be found in southsun.
edit 2: This was a reference to the spoiler free thread that’s locked in this forum.
edit 3 (in story form): Lemark wasn’t much of a haggler. the merchant had taken almost every copper he owned, but it was worth it. He was positive this time, no more fakes, no more copies, forgeries or lies, this was it. He could feel it, sinister…ghostly, it felt weird to hold, but he didn’t care, his journey was one quarter complete.
etcoplasm? but “forgeries, fakes, copies or lies”? Could be one-of-a-kind.
- ghostly. Something he bought from a merchant, small enough to hold, valuable item, “sinister”. Possibly a named/unique weapon, ascended trinket, or rare crafting material.
3.5-4 Story continues:
(2 days later)
Lemark sprinted down the alleyway, an endeavor likely to leave one examining refuse closer than generally preferable, but this wasn’t his first time. He slowed for a moment to glance behind him, merchants still chasing with guards closely behind them. He was surprised they hadn’t given up, they must be very sensitive about their heritage here, the item itself was a bit too everyday to inspire this kind of rage. “Two more blocks”, he thought to himself, double-checking the sealed, cylindrical case he carried. His attempted thievery had failed, for today, but he wasn’t going to lose what he had to the muddy waters of the bay.

Both the first and second hints disclose only one required component, the ghostly item
edit 5:
Lemark was in high spirits, it had been a productive week. After a series of failures his luck had turned. He stared at his own reflection in the item, such a trivial thing by itself, but with many, there was power. Zomorros knew it as well, Lemark had seen the desire in his eyes before, this was one of his favorites.
Obviously a Mystic coin or crystal.
Out of story hint: I’ve only referenced 2 of the components so far.
edit 6:
Lemark sat back against the rocky wall, brackish water rained down from one geyser or another. “What am I even doing here?” he thought for the thousandth time. He was exhausted, bloody and sore. “One of these alien curs is going to kill me before I’m done with this”, he grumbled to himself as he stood up and stretched. He needed a drink, but the day hadn’t grown cold yet, he still had time. His resolve hardened, one more attempt, he stared at yet another dulled blade, one more chance for results…this wasn’t going to be fun.edit 7:
Lemark rested his back against the rocky wall.
“Deja vu,” he thought wearily. Even the thought had grown tiresome.
Two months he’d been here. Two whole months of combat. He had almost died so often that the novelty was wearing off.
“What does it say about a person when your imminent death is an uninteresting topic for pondering,” he thought to himself.
He was tired of everything – this place, the clinking noises he made everywhere he went, the shelled beasts, and especially tired of the never-ending bloodshed.
He leaned his head back, closed his eyes and tried to imagine being back home.
Instead he saw the smug face of Zomorros.
He had almost forgotten his hate for the being. It was exactly what he needed – a reminder of why he was here.
A slight rumbling forced his attention back to reality as one of the creatures noticed his intrusion. He stared directly at the charging beast. If he had to, he would wipe this entire species off the face of the planet.
The latest note strongly indicates this is a farmed item. Never ending bloodshed for two months. “The clinking noises he made everywhere he went” is important but I’m not sure what it means. Dulled blade could be gathering item but there’s too much emphasis on the combat with karka imo.
So:
Ecto/[unique and valuable ghostly item purchased from merchant] + Mystic Coin/Crystal + Powerful Blood/Karka Shell + [item he tried to steal in LA]
The item he tried to steal in LA may have been the mystic coins but couldn’t be related to the ghostly item since that one was not an everyday object.

Thank you, hopefully I can get some help doing it!
I used to be able to see when an event was happening from the gw2 wiki but now that it’s megaserver, how can I tell when the event will begin? I want to unlock this trait in fields of ruin but it’s not on dulfy’s event timer and the server-based event timers don’t work anymore.
I’ve also heard this is bugged? Is it pointless to even try?
The biggest problem is that to get your whole character this goes from a journey of growth to a checklist of chores before you can actually grow and experiment.
I’m being forced to level up faster than I want to in order to do different things in the game. It seems that’s what anet wants now, linear everything and to screw up what made the game fun to begin with. /upset grumbling
I saved up for both of my precursors, The Legend and The Energizer. I threw so many staves into the mystic forge with no result that it’s just the only reliable way.
And at Goat- not everybody wants to spend their time in game manipulating the trading post.
After two years of playing I’ve found the last month or two to be the worst for me in terms of earning gold just by playing. In part because I’ve gotten burned out on grinding dungeons, but also because the living story events have been very difficult to profit from. The rewards are all toward account bound skins (which cost more to make than you can possibly get out of them), unlike previous events like the boss blitz where real profit could be made for time investment.
I haven’t dropped below 68 transmutation charges since the system was implemented. I get so many from pvp I can change stuff all the time and never run out.
The first time I encountered Three Toed Tootsie, I literally did not know what hit me and ended up in a downed pile, pecked by the fastest moa in the west before I knew what was happening. I took screenshots and shared with my friends captioned with “There’s a new law bird in town”.
I love and am still terrified of Tootsie.
going after my third adept trait unlock on my new character and i’m sitting… waiting… waiting for the event. I’m not even 100% sure i’m where i’m supposed to be.
This is a miserable, boring system that makes me feel weak and stupid since I can’t get clear knowledge of when and how to get my trait just by playing the game.
ps- 100% zone completion for a single adept trait oh my god there’s a reason this thread is 56 pages long and has been front page for months. This is ridiculous.
pps- four or five hours later I’ve done it and I don’t even want to look at pve for the next few weeks. ((Map exploration and leveling new characters was my absolute favorite part of this game previously))

Me:
I’m currently playing terror and bunk necro but have some experience with all professions. Staff ele was my last main but I’m familiar with most meta builds and mechanics of all classes, and the animations of all classes/race.
Rank 80+, 3.7k games played, 1.9k wins. I play in NA, OCE and EU times depending on the day.
I’m chill and respectful, have ts/raidcall but prefer to listen/type than talk on mic. GW2 is my first serious pvp game but I’ve spent over 5k hours in the game and am still growing.
What I’m looking for:
A guild with a large and active roster of pvpers for tpvp and practice/discussion. Respectful/mature is a plus but i’m not above talking some kitten myself. Emphasis on fun, but having fun by being the best one can be. Flexibility with rep is appreciated since I sometimes take a pvp break and pve/wvw.
Characters:
# = 80, geared for wvw, listed in order of frequent use
Necro- Head and Heart
Ranger# – Thunder and Honey
Ele# – Tine Bronzehide
Guard# – Yggdrell
Mes# – Menan Brighteye
War# – Culbren
Thief# – Ippoli
Engi – Zaphenk
Contact me here or in game if your guild is looking for a chill no-lifer for your pvp/wvw team
When something has stressed me out in game and I need to just decompress my friends know I like to visit Snrif and her rabbits :"|
I’m currently stuck and things are becoming dull because I want to keep my necro (my only non-80; i have 7 of those) lower leveled- preferably below 50 for the loot rewards, and because once I hit 80 everything starts to feel the same. I like having the room for progress, like there is something more to do, rather than feeling i’ve already done everything and i’m finished with the game.
But I can’t unlock even master traits until 60- which means outside of spvp my necro is mostly disabled. Even if I did take him into wvw or eotm for example just for a change of pace and to learn necro’s role in large scale pvp (the reason I rolled one to begin with), I risk him leveling way too fast and missing out on the enjoyment of slowly growing. I would roll another toon to keep lower but I now have every single class and race and have 0 desire to repeat one, especially with all the level gating and trait lockdown, so I won’t be buying another character slot ( I used to keep an open one at all times, for keyfarming. Filled it and haven’t bought a new one since september patch).
So it’s basically just solo or team pvp all day with some reserved pve exploration here and there. Day after day of hours of conquest mode and it’s getting boring. But it’s the only way I can play without leveling up (aside from activities, or playing another character- not the one I’m enjoying the most).
I know it’s not how everyone else feels about leveling (some of my friends would give an arm and leg for the 240+ tomes of knowledge I dont have any use for). But I sympathize with OP and think rushing people to 80 undermines the journey there.
(edited by eyestrain.3056)
I’ve had to completely stop using anything over worst graphics, even in pve, but today even worst graphics spvp (usually less resource intensive) my framerate went down so low it was hard to look at without feeling sick.
I use them sometimes in spvp when I feel like being a troll. Just run around with thief and reduced damage in stealth, res all allies always.
Rarely see it but can work with a medic role, especially in spvp where one person getting back up can turn the tide of a fight.
Pretty expensive.
