Solution is to remove all safe stomps
Why? Why would this be a good thing? Safe stomps usually come at a cost and there’s at least SOME decision making required in whether or not to waste a cooldown to safestomp -_-.
If you remove this then the game just becomes more brain dead than it already is.

Depends on the situation really, right now you can split an omniblob up for more PPT but if there’s no point in doing so (since you’re gonna win the time slice anyway) it’s more favorable to just blob and ktrain as opposed to try knocking out that last inkling of ppt.
They should just close down WvW except for the 2 hours prime time NA slot. That way Maguuma will finally win dat ppt. It’s not like any other timezone matters anyway ayyyy
More like they should make people who DON’T reroll when there are 3+ of the same on the team already lose 1 pip.
I believe that EoTM doesn’t count toward WvW ranks anymore.
It does but a while back they nerfed eotm to give both less wxp and reward tracks than real wvw. 20% i think not sure.

Sure I’d make a lot more gold grinding out AB but that’s boring af and if I try to maximize my gold gain every second of game play that basically becomes work instead of a game.
The people who want to grind AB do so for a reason, they have goals/targets to aim for that is why they do it. If you don’t feel like doing it then don’t, it is indeed a waste of time if you aren’t enjoying yourself and feel like you’re doing AB for no reason.
It all comes down to, why are you feeling left behind not farming AB? It’s not a big deal and with ecto prices so low and the gold/hr is totally overblown while things like Fotm 40 farm exists.

Yeah MVP is a bad idea, I’ve seen people rage at Toker for holding 1v2 at far and carrying the team saying he should stop going far and hold home/mid. I’m like bro do you even know who Toker is sigh.

That’s OCX prime, the queues are usually longer but shouldn’t be THAT long unless you’re queueing in legend then yeah.
Yeah the pip system is horrible, nothing more demoralizing than playing PvP all day (8 hours+) on a weekend and moving nowhere or worse, downwards.

Trevor this has been a common experience for me. Winning outnumbered fights constantly yet losing all other nodes because the MM system gives me trash tier players.
In fact my block list is at least 25-30 people longer since this season started so I could q dodge the bads but it just never ended, there were always more bads. A shocking trend I noticed was a lot of these players had REALLY low AP even by PvP player standards (eg. 2k, 1k or lower). They were obviously quite new and had no place in ranked Diamond or above.
The system basically thinks 10,5,5,5,5 is equal to 6,6,6,6,6 when in fact it causes insane pressure on the 10 guy to perform since the 5s will always lose to the 6s even numbers.
Numerous games I have left people to 1v1 or 2v2 and mirror comp (eg. rev vs rev) and my team’s people would lose. It is infuriating.
It also doesn’t account for holding 2+ players near their home despite not really doing much which helps the team with a 4v3 advantage. I mean I’d be willing to try any system that encourages good play but there’s always a few situational or higher level strategies that the point system won’t be able to account for.
I don’t like having K/D since many times you can be supporting the team (eg. druid/engy) and not net a lot of kills especially if you’re holding points say 2v3 with an ally and can’t kill any of the 3 yet not dying.
I agree with the solo/team breakup simply because premades really mess up matchmaking. Most premades are either easy to beat or very hard to beat and nothing in between since the matchmaking system is bad at managing premades.
For example, far too often some high league guy decides to party up with some low rank (legit low rank) people in a duo/trio which messes up the rest of his team since the system expects them to be their level but instead they’re not. Through no fault of their own the solo q players are punished by being put on a trash premade which is ‘overrated’ due to the MM system taking the highest guy’s rating (also +premade rating padding). 2 of my last 5 games to legend this season were free wins against a trash premade too so I was actually happy I lucked out but it could’ve went the other way which sucks.

Scrapper, DH longbow, GS reaper are pretty much never seen in raids. So no I don’t think they designed these around raids.
That report option would be severely abused though. I had a game where people blamed me for afk but i was fighting mid 1v2 half the game. They really thought I was afk since they never saw me and had 0 map awareness :/
MMR settling really? I’ve done over 5000 games of PvP now and even in S2/3 where supposedly distorted MMR happened I never got these insane win streaks (my win rates were around 55-65% on main at most).
Still I am getting these trash games with people that shouldn’t even be in sapphire, in diamond. I literally lost a game with Toker on my team because he couldn’t carry 2 trash players that we had. These are players that don’t talk, don’t have a build, keyboard turn and afk on points.
I wouldn’t even feel bad if my team lost cuz the other side was better but this pretty much never happens. Every game this season if I lose it’s because the trash on my team can’t even play PvP at a mediocre level (aka my level). I had another game where they had 3 people camping home so obviously play the other 2 nodes but no, my team would stream in 1 by 1 and feed then complain we shouldn’t push far and focus on home. QQQQQQQQQQ
I mean the game is approaching 4 years old now and people still do stuff like double capping in ranked :/
Really have no patience for this at all, matchmaking shouldn’t be putting these people up above sapphire this early in the season yet they’re all over the place in ruby/diamond.
At some point any motivation I have just gets destroyed by playing with/against people who are worse than the AI bots you fight in HotM.
As for your comment about WvW scoring, yeah I and many people I know don’t play for score since that’s just coverage/population. If I go to WvW it’s because there’s fights to be had and people to be killed not because I want to back cap a bunch of camps and kill NPCs so my server wins.
Realistically they should scrap this entire pip system and restart it fresh.
In order to entice the not so hardcore PvP players (PvX/WvW/PvE) to play leagues they should make the legendary backpack available to them, just make it a bit longer for them to get (eg. requires X wins) compared to better players.
They can still keep some sorta division thing but don’t tie it to rewards or ap or anything of the sort. PvPers have no need for these things and the rest will comaplin about not being able to attain this.
The most important thing is, division needs to be tied to MMR. If your MMR is above a certain value you move up a division and so on, kinda like how SC2 did it in vanilla where you’d have different leagues. The MMR also needs to be publically displayed, like games such as league of legends.
This would basically create competition (MMR/division/prestige) and at the same time allow the casual population to flourish more in PvP than it currently does. Nobody likes being told they’re trash just because their team is like 10x better than them due to matchmaking. It is a lot more satisfying playing with/against people who are of similar skill to you and realizing that you won/lost because of what you did or didn’t do.
Fair would be everybody having to exert equal effort to climb but right now the bads are being carried by the better players due to this stupid system.
Not really having fun when I get keyboard turners on my team in diamond. Sure I might win if I give it my 150% and 1v2/3 and carry hard but what’s the point when that guy who is key board turning progress just as fast if not faster than me?

The reflect from Gyro is the utility bar (F1 to F4) which is part of the bulwark gyro.
Some engies run the full condi cleanse elixir, it doesn’t hurt the meta build that much but you can run other stuff instead if you’re fighting non condi comps. You still can take 2 gyro (heal/bulwark), elixir gun and one utility of choice.
Random block? Idk about this one it shouldn’t be possible as only skill 4 blocks on hammer. Maybe he took toolkit for extra 3 second block?
The gyro heal has no real animation, you might not notice the gyro showing up and healing him 5k. The only cast animations for ‘healing’ would be water field blasting or turret if he runs that instead of the gyro heal but you said 2 gyros so he probably had the gyro heal.
Win streaks happen to me too, it’s not like I’m stuck I just think the MM is trash and games aren’t fun when I have insanely bad players on my or the other team.
I pretty much exclusively solo q too so this win streak was just good RNG rather than anything tbh. I had way more losses in Sapphire T2 than all of Ruby, it’s not like I suddenly became godlike I just got lucky with the streak :/
DPS means damage per second not biggest numbers. This is why Ele has higher DPS than warrior even though warrior hundred blades can hit 100k on VG.
You should really realize that celestial is bad, your build is bad and you have little to no understanding of how necro actually works in this game
Do you really think that thousands of GW2 PvE players cannot think up of this so called AMAZING celestial build but you can?
I mean, I can do more damage than you by AFK-ing and scepter 1 auto-ing on my viper necro even if you have 25 might and I have 0. I don’t have any trouble doing any level fractal, even mai trin at 100 I can survive easily with necro.
You assume that because the viper reapers you see go down a lot that celestial is better DPS wise because they’re always down. That is a false dichotomy. The reason they go down is because they’re bad and they’ll still probably go down in celestial or whatever.
When I run fracs with my casual friends who don’t really bother with might/quickness etc, I still get 10k bleeds on my viper necro and around 2k poison/torment give or take and maybe a lil bit of raw damage. You’re doing what 1k bleeds and 3k life reap which is just a joke. If you wanna be a res bot you might as well run a nomads druid or something, at least you’ll be semi useful.
My last match in ruby→diamond and my first match in diamond both have a ranger with signet of hunt on my team.
I don’t know, it just feels bad when your team can’t even get a real build going. I get it if you don’t have HoT or wanna try something different but these people run utilities that are LEGIT BAD (eg. shredding gyro, signet of hunt, signet of shadows) and I have to carry them? geeeeez
I have over 50% win rate and just hit diamond so it’s not like I can’t progress but man it’s frustrating playing with legit deadweights who don’t even belong in sapphire atm let alone diamond/ruby.
You guys should try playing scrapper as a res bot sometimes, it’s not as easy as the old quickness/distort chrono resses lol.
I mean if you were versing absolutely bad players who don’t cleave/cc then yeah wooooooow scrapper OP but most players know how to interrupt the resses and make it hard for the scrapper to go in.
DH has more res potential than a scrapper if they pop F3
S4 is the worst really. Some games I win all my 1v1s even 1v2s and the rest of my team are dead with 0 caps gg.
There’s a difference between pulling my weight and having to carry full dead weights which is what seems to be happening a lot in S4.
Yeah they said on reddit they’ll add it after season over but it’d be nice if they told people that don’t read reddit right?
So what if there were scoring changes. Doesn’t change the fact mag will have zilch to fight and DB will have 50+.
DB should just be in T1 where there are other people to fight when they’re on, all these scoring changes do nothing for DB who will still sit there bored ticking at whatever.
“Competitive” match up where DB has nothing to do 12 hours of the day because mag decides to only play wvw 2 hours a day. What a joke
I just want to be put with players that aren’t obviously new. I had a team where the first team fight the rev died in 2 seconds. TWO SECONDS.
I’m not a pro player, maybe slightly above average but I played 3000+ ranked games. Give me some people who have some experience at least please?

I got matched with 2 guys who didn’t know what treb was on khylo. They asked why no red circle etc can’t dodge it and stuff like that.
Just told em to play the side points and ignore mid, they did semi ok after that I guess but it feelsbad when you’ve got ~3k pvp ranked games and get ppl like that on the team lol
I did dungeons for fun pre HoT, didn’t really need the gold or tokens but it was fun with friends for a while.
They’re approaching 4 years old now though and even if it’s good reward (they are good atm) it just gets boring rerunning the same thing for yearssssss on end which is why you don’t see many runs nowadays. The people that do dungeons either raid, play other stuff or quit for the most part.
You can try adding incentives but quite frankly unless they actually decide to make dungeons an active part of the game again, the dungeon community is for all intents and purposes, dead.
If you plan on moving to T1 NA go to JQ they have the least OCX atm from what I can see. DB and BG have plenty of OCX if everyone is playing, on nights off it can get pretty quiet but still some action and there’s always a risk of queue which is meh if you wanna play.
Anywhere else, you’re probably PvDooring or being PvDoored
Every season people say just wait it out and pip will settle etc. Hasn’t happened at all in the past 3 seasons and I don’t see it happening this season.
This matchmaking is utterly trash and I see no reason people with 1000+ ranked wins should get put with people who double cap home node or 4 man the beast at start.
I mean if you don’t wanna improve then you don’t get the T4 rewards, it’s really that simple.

Nah i’m not sayin you’re bad I just meant I vs’d you as a solo q back ages ago when you were with oT (I mean you were in the guild, I never played vs you in a premade, you were always solo)
Just sayin from my experience you don’t end up on super duper stacked teams with high MMR, you’re definitely better player than most.
Famster’s MMR isn’t that high, I’ve played vs his teams last season (or was it 2? when you were still in oT anyway) and they weren’t really that stacked. A few people like Gin/Mysticiness etc have super high MMR stack carry but Famster doesn’t imo.
I think the population is just that low outside of prime time in sapphire atm that you get at least 6-7 duds which is why you have such a poor experience and probably ended up being unlucky with your team.
Do they still give average MMR to new players? That might explain a bit if the system gives you a few new players that’s rip.
I’m not seeing this drop off in popularity of raids. In fact, I’ve been mapping and I’ve seen those living story Bandit/Ley Line Anomaly fail/ignored by pretty much everyone outside of prime time where you might get 1 map doing it.
Sure some people are stopping after 150 or got bored etc but still lots of people do weekly raids compared with the massive drop off I see in the open world content. I would argue that raids are a massive success in comparison.
It’s a bit over 5 hours if you use the guild buff and XP booster. I got 2 gifts pretty easily just playing naturally over the course of a week.
I feel like the only problem is it’ll be a long grind and I’ll have to ‘carry’ bad MMR players (who are probably bad players) in order to climb up myself, especially if I have high MMR (I’m not sure I do).
If it’s anything like unranked and I get 2 × 5 signet warriors and a zerk staff ele vs 5 average players I’m pretty much gonna be sadface
I mean if you were a good player you wouldn’t openly state you run nomads and know how to play your class.
It’s literally a given that people who run nomads have no idea what they’re doing or they wouldn’t run that useless mesh of stats.
The only ‘viable’ nomads build would that staff ele one for heals which people run for lolz but at least they know it’s lolz rather than I AM GUD AT THE GAEM HUEHUE type of thing.
Ask yourself, who is better at the game. Some dude who camps full nomads with 30k HP or some dude running viper/zerk druid with less than 20k and still doesn’t die. Then think about why they want them instead of you, it’s just so obvious.

I think a guy on reddit said it best, the best part of the tournaments was the PvP buff since most people don’t care about watching GW2 PvP. I mean the only reason those twitch views hit high numbers is because they were giving away precursors right?
You can make your own group and ask for other people who are pro raiders from other games but have 0 LI in GW2 raids and are good enough to raid but just can’t find a group due to reasons.
I’m sure since there are so many of them out there the group will instafill.
