Using transmutation to move equipment around only works for the skin, not the stats. It has to be put onto a white item, which can’t have good stats, and then transmuted onto another exotic item.

Honestly this would almost be worse for alts.
I have a bunch of alts because I like being able to change up what I’m doing at my whim.
The account laurel is awful because of its limited number trying to be split amongst a bunch of alts, but making them character bound would basically force me to play all my different characters every day or fall behind.
Not only does that up the time requirement to pretty ridiculous levels, but I also don’t FEEL like playing this or that character.
tl;dr time-gated laurels are awful either way, remove ascended stat bonus, best solution.

What’s the point of the stealth nerf if taking damage doesn’t de-cloak you? This is the only online game I’ve played with a stealth mechanic where people can take hits and still be invisible.

Name one game where stealth targets gets revealed when they take damage? Just from top of my head Dota/Dota 2 – works like GW2, Planetside 2 – works like GW2, Mass Effect – works like GW2, seriously i cant think of one game where invisible targets gets revealed after taking damage. The way how is it in GW2 is pretty standart mechanic imo…

TF2: spies are partially revealed when damaged while invisible. Fire, Jarate, Mad Milk, and Bleeds will also be visible (in addition to Fire and Bleeds causing damage so they’re partially revealed)
Also, in Mass Effect, Hunters will also be partially revealed on damage (and lose invisibility entirely once their shields go down)

Though I think Grenade Kit’s KR should still be better than it currently is. Or at least have something to do with grenades.
Perhaps Grenade Barrage, except instead of regular grenades make them Flash Grenades?

Allow supplies taken from dead dolyaks to exceed the supply cap by 5.
Most of the time they go to waste because people will bring supplies with them whenever they leave, so currently yaks mostly only give supplies to zergs stripping an enemy supply camp.

If Symbol of Swiftness or Temporal Curtain is passed by someone with Swiftness on them, and the remaining duration is shorter than the duration that SoS/TC will apply, it should overwrite the boon and set it to the long duration.
Currently, if Swiftness is on someone who crosses one of those, they will only gain 1s of Swiftness from SoS and TC will do nothing, even if they only have 1 second of swiftness remaining.
I know that they don’t apply their full duration every pulse/crossing due to the ease of stacking Swiftness duration if it did so, but as it stands if you don’t time it right you gain little to no benefit even if you barely have any Swiftness left.

Examples: Player has 2s Swiftness, crosses SoS. Swiftness duration is set to 8s. If they stand on it, it will continue resetting to 8s (or adding 1s). As it stands now, gains 1s.
Player has 9s Swiftness, crosses SoS, only gains 1s swiftness.
Player has 13s Swiftness, crosses TC. No effect.
Player has 1s Swiftness, crosses TC, Swiftness set to 12s. As it stands now, no effect.
All of these are obviously modified by Boon Duration.

Gathering, rezzing, exploring.
Many hearts can be done without killing.
Using supply in WvW for repairs or building siege (though it depends whether or not you’re okay with facilitating killing with the siege).
And of course any dailies you can manage (gathering is a constant, events can usually be done, rezzing, dodging, JPs, MF (if you don’t count that as crafting), Laurel Vendor, Karma Spender, skill point, leveler, possibly more?). If there aren’t enough pacifist dailies for the day do a couple on a different character so you can get the exp bonus for completing it on the pacifist.

And for the longbow sure you can do that but it’s only 900 range and you need to waste another trait to get it to 1200 range, see a pattern yet ?

Except though it doesn’t say so, Stronger Bowstrings does a lot more than just improve its range.
Dual Shot becomes a x2 100% projectile finisher (the only autoattack to do so), Fan of Fire gains a 100% projectile finisher status (another 100% finisher multishot skill), and Pin Down gains piercing.

So, yeah, Stronger Bowstrings, kittening awesome.

My favorite night in WvW:
EB, I think my server was blue. I spent several hours hanging around WC, where we got into plenty of skirmishes with green between WC and Lowlands.
Most of the battles began with both sides skirting each others ranges until I Magneted some poor sap, Net Shotted him, and then Overcharged Shotted him further toward my team, and then Gear Shielding to flee from the enemy group I just blasted myself into.
My real moment of pride is that it seemed that several of these people I had been fighting against repeatedly decided to bring certain traits to help fight my inevitable free bag maneuver (namely Hide in Plain Sight and Cloaking Device).

Engineer may have its problems, but CC is not one of them.

The way they went about the nerf is the problem.
Moving it to a higher tier and keeping it as is, or even the current state with individual cooldowns would have been fine, and justified. But the global cooldown makes chaining impossible and very commonly triggers itself when the effect isn’t desired, preventing you from using the one you want when you want it.
kitten, prior to the effect rebalancing it was probably worthy of a grandmaster, and I wouldn’t have any problem with that (especially if it meant Adrenal Implant or Armor Mods would be moved down to Adept, which is much more fitting for them).
But with the global cooldown holding it back, one needs only compare it to another similar trait, Elemental Attunement, which has no invisible global cooldown (yes the attunements share a global cooldown but you can see it and it’s nowhere near 20s) and produces effects generally superior to KR.

well heres another question. since runes of divinity all have the same bonuses would it be just as good if I got 4major runes and 2supioror or 4major and 2minor

They aren’t the same.
The minor runes give +3 to all stats, majors give +5, and superiors give +10.

I’m not saying it will work everytime, but it is a way to use the new kr effectively.. Learn and adapt

I think we can all see that possibility.
We can also see the possibility of using Gear Shield for the approach, except because of the absurd global cooldown you’ll get a worthless Super Speed instead of Magnetic Bomb.

One of the important things to remember is that there’s no excuse for the Deployable Turrets bug making it past QA. Much of the patch was intended to help turrets, among which was to fix Deployable Turrets. Any degree of QA should have caught that bug.
Hidden Killer was not addressed in the patch, so it inadvertently becoming bugged and not being noticed by QA is excusable, but Deployable Turrets is not.

Oh, and maybe Hidden Killer is used more than Scope because it works. If the order of bugfixes is according to what is used most, then the things that are broken already would be at the bottom of the list to fix, because no one uses them, as they are broken.

Don’t forget Adrenal Implant, a Grandmaster Major trait that has the same effect as a Ranger Adept Minor trait.

The removal of the internal ghost cd on KR was a BUFF from last patch.

What.
Every single cooldown has been increased or remains the same as before (and the 2 that remain the same are now different and generally less useful), except now it’s a global cooldown instead of individual.
The cooldown has not, in any conceivable way, been buffed.

It would either be absurdly overpowered to account for it being stationary, in which case it would get nerfed to hell and be useless like Mortar, or it would just plain not be worth it due to stationary in the first place.

Glue Shot only immobilizes on impact, so it is substantially less useful when prefired.

Aside from that, reasonable KR usage after Magnet would be Bomb Kit or Elixir Gun, for the extra CC either can provide.
However, the only way to allow you to use one of those is to, 18 seconds before the fight, proc KR (or switch to Tool Kit) so that Tool Kit doesn’t proc KR when you swap.
As it stands, it is often more effective to be ON cooldown at certain times, in order to not put it on cooldown again. It is the only manually activated ability in the game where this is the case.

Really the biggest issue I see is that it gives a thief the ability to reliably create their own water field, and then use the best blast finisher in the game on it repeatedly.
This exact reason is why a thief will never be given a reliable fire, water, or light field ability. Something of that level of power (the repeated use, not just one finisher) should require multiple people to perform.

Again, you really just want to play an Elementalist but you want to play it as a Warrior.

You want to be able to change your playstyle mid-fight. That’s what changing an attunement does.

Maybe that’s not your cup of tea, maybe you don’t want to cast spells as much. Then there’s still another profession for you. It’s called an Engineer! Yayyyy~

Every other class was affected by this nerf. The warriors were hurt the most since a lot use it.

Thieves have MANY other viable alternatives and if all else fail..restealth restealth resteathl and use the weapon. abilities that have no cooldowns unlike every other class in the game.

If you thought the thief ‘nerfs’ in this patch were significant..I’m afraid you were relying too much on handicaps.

100b still hits for more than auto-attack.

You have 1 skill percieved as too powerful 9 others as normal…

Are you going to take the time to boost 9 or nerf 1?

They always nerf 1…

BUT

They get into a nerfing mindset and before you know it dozens of things are nerfed, like whats happening now in GW2 and then you wonder why player numbers have gone down so much…

Nerfing is by defination a negative action and negative actions create a equal and opposite negative reaction sooner or later…

If you’re constantly buffing nearly everything in order to not technically nerf one overpowered thing, you’re still basically nerfing the overpowered thing.
Also, if there were no nerfs, everything balloons out of control numerically which tends to create even more tenuous circumstances where imbalances are more likely to occur.
Categorically dismissing nerfs as bad is completely wrong.

The only thing you get the most out of by spamming on recharge is damage.
Everything with non-damage effects has a time and a place to be used for best effectiveness.
Seeing as every single one of the KR effects has non-damage components to it, even the kitteniest one, the mine, none of them are worthy of categorically being used on recharge.
Meaning, in a general sense, you are getting far less out of KR by using it on recharge rather than picking the right time and place. But, since the GCD greatly reduces the control you have over the situation, doing so is borderline impossible with multiple kits without sacrificing your ability to use kit skills at the right time and place.

Oh, and yeah, Magnet→Mine is a decent combination. Too bad using Magnet will almost certainly fire off a useless Super Speed instead.

Also, why shouldn’t you be able to avoid a proc by jumping? That gives you actual control over the ability.

Have you already discovered that recipe?
If you already discovered that recipe with that inscription, you won’t be able to do it in discovery any more, it has to be done from the regular menu. However, the string could be selected along with the inscription if you haven’t made the longbow using that inscription yet.
