I somewhat play random team only jump into the first dungeon I get with no vent or setup and get to chop things. Organised party? Why waste the time waiting for one. When you live this kind of dungeon running life you get used to relying on no one but yourself in a team because its 90% improvisation 9% self awareness and 1% team synergy in a pug.
Ok so I run power necro yesterday. Score 4k hits with lich in spvp
Run power necro today runs 7k lich crit and 2 shot peoples.
Either everyone around me gone so glassy they get obliterated as if I had a Interplanatery cannon or lich damage scaling got uped so heavily to compensate the loss of strength scaling that now its like constant 25 might mode.
depends of how hard it is for it to settle it id say longbow even on a short range is a serious argument.
I don’t mean to complain but ive ran into something realy awkward yesterday. We all know that in normal circonstance LB ranger zerker build is utherly squishy and easy to kill right…
Well happen I crossed path with a guy using both protect me AND signet of stone yesterday. Im fully aware protect me does not grant invulnerability but only transfer all damage taking to the pet for a time but lets put it bluntly guys it takes way more then 5 second of constantly taking all the damage the ranger eats for the pet to go into downed state, in wich case the ranger only has to switch to signet of stone right after so to give it a chance to recover all while enjoying his full 9 or 10 second of invulnerability. Now now you may all say conditions ignore this kind of crap but a squishy zerker ranger with a full 9 second invulnerability window has all the time he needs to wreck you inside out.
Should they redo protect me so to limit its synergic viability with signet of stone while keeping it effective as lets say a aegis and protection boon (or just communal defence)? Discuss.

why triple cantrip actualy? I admit cleansing fire can be usefull but id rather have arcane shield around if possible. Again I tend to over use arcane might and water field stacking builds.

Ill put this bluntly.
Anet does not care in the least about how solo dungeon runs is handled because they don’t support them openly. They themselves stated as well that if joining or selling a dungeon run you are at your own risk and peril and as such should expect people to play cheap. They warn people about in game dungeon path seller for scams and that they wont do anything should you loose your money to them. It is only natural they will do nothing against dungeon run kickers either because as said before so called players are on their own. Put bluntly don’t sell path if you don’t want this kind of unpleasant situation to happen at time because Anet wont move a finger to correct it.
As far as im concerned I think that rather then enrage tons of dumb player by openly constantly nerfing solo runs they simply decided not to discourage scammers so to shame them easier way to teach people not to buy their instance in the first place.

It still come down to 2 or 3 vs 1 him. Again since T engy is a specimen of bunker its no surprise. As far as I know I make lots of kills running that thing in Spvp and unless I get my turret destroyed by a pair of GS guard/warrior I generaly keep them all up at all time. Boon turrets are actualy a serious buff when party actualy help defend a point, Place them down anywhere there is a mass brawl and the whole team just became utherly beefed up.
Fact is everyone has its own belief for ranger. I for myself believe pets should have power scaling that longbow should deal huge but slow damaging attack and that a few traits should be merged together. What of this did I get from the last CDI? Absolutely nothing as pet still deal crap damage (although now axe is a possible build it just doesn’t offer possibility yet to be ran seriously), Longbow became the new shortbow and Rangers still depend on a GM trait for their condi cleanse :P
Nerf the pvp announcer because he constantly says The game about to start therefore we all loose before it even began.
By all means this isn’t a tread to protest against classes or nerf anything this topic is actualy here so that all people who hate can put their NERF this here and maybe joke about it.

Nerf ranger rapidfire it feels like rangers now have machineguns.
Nerf Warrior they now became real trolls, regeneration, brainlessness and brutality included.
Nerf Elementalist they have to much skills it comes to the point they can shoot a magic missile in the middle of a target at 1200 feet. We already got to many robin hoods around.
Nerf guardian attraction because they are so handsome when I face one I just cant help but have an attirance for that shiny two handed sword of theirs and jump right into it.
Nerf necromancer because they spook me all the time.
Nerf Zaithan because hes 1 size cathegory larger then Colossal.
Nerf Mad king say I don’t like playing emote dance and got my dose of DDR for life.
Nerf Mai Trin because we all sick of dances boss (CALLS IN THE CANNON: buuuurn baby buuurn diiisco inferno!)
Nerf Alchemy enginer line because there is but one incredible hulk.
Nerf Bearbow Bear aren’t cute enough they are meant to be plush! we need bear plush around.

In theory ranger longbow is fine and doesn’t require any tweak the ability around it however are not. People need to stop the ridiculus assumption rapid fire is the issue and start working toward nerfing traits instead of the weapon itself. How about merging eagle eyes and read the wind togueter while removing the hasted bow GM buff?
Step 1. Equip longbow
Step 2. Target your enemy
Step 3. Press 2
Step 4. change longbow to greatsword when you discover said target is a focus elementalist
Step 5. Run for your life since said elementalist now overtank your damage.
Honestly ive been trolling rangers hard with my ele of late gota watch them run for their lives the moment they discover longbow does NOT work.

Ill point it bluntly already… Longbow while a longrange weapon doesn’t realy need its damage nerfed but its actual speed. Longbow should be slower but infinitely more damaging then right now not to mention the arrow tracking from read the wind should be there by default not as a trait. Longbow a support weapon? I think you got it backward, as far as im concerned that’s a glass cannon assassin long range weapon wich should run on slow yet precise and deadly strikes.

im still trying to figure a way to stack every single might stack within a single bombing sessions but so far I have to stand stationary just to do them all (not realy effective at might stacking). Oh well its just a little practice ill eventualy be able to stack my 25 might witheout efforts x.x
For some funny I reason I prefer running supportive turrets right now in spvp because I don’t have to run after people with bombs in hand to actualy do them damage XD
well I guess people can now talk about turret enginers witheout getting hate :P

Ill be honest seriously a 10 0 30 30 0 turret engy can actualy maintain permanent vigor as well as easily 6+ might stack retaliation protection regeneration and even fury not to mention they grant it to everyone in the direct area. While at first they may not look like hell in a 1 v 1 they have near complete field control along with ultimate like party buffing and they got the CC to finish you off. While they could have been considered a joke back in the day im not so sure we can actualy laugh at them anymore guys. If they put out the crate as well your in for 12 might stack a permanent regen effect as well as a full party running on permanent vigor and that aint no joke.
That’s not OP however because the moment anyone with a decent aoe build jump into the frey poor guy is likely to have all his turret destroyed despite metal plating and self regening turrets upgrades (staff elementalist is an exemple of it) and as such it has about 5 or 7 possible counters including bomb enginers meteor storm elementalist 2h sword guard 2h sword warrior and even to some level bow thieves. That build is far from OP yet it just perform quite well in a Spvp match.
Of course if your team have no AOE user and you have a turret enginer as your foe its very likely unless you swarm him (and god know they are tanky) hes gunna be a serious nuisance the whole match by hampering capture effort.

but long as it recover that same dps trought scaling etc I wouldn’t mind the base pet to have weaker damage for non speced rangers that way we have less bunkers around here relying on pet to deal what they cannot. Im in favor of the scaling pet with master principe wich would put an end to the ‘’I tank and deal damage at the same time cuz pet isn’t tied to me’’ joke. Im zerker so should be my pet.
easy ways to escape, stun locks and cc, aplyind debuffs so easy and so fast and a tone of damage, impossible to run from since clones chase you everywhere, its totally op at the right hands.

How can you actualy have the achievement for a place you actualy trying to run for the first time to begin with, if your in there its because you want to gear up not so to do a walk in the park.Elitists are already existing even without raids.That won’t be anything new even if raids are added.People can avoid such groups the same way they currently do.Also you can’t link achievement.Also if you want to do something make your own group,become the RL and make your own rules.
With the end of dungeon owner ill just remind you that in theory your own group can kick you witheout any consequence all it require is two guy in zerk who don’t want to do it your way and that’s it they likely got you out of your own party. Stuff such as ‘’making your own rules’’ no longuer exist in dungeon runs save when your teamed up with reasonable people. If we consider them adding raids we likely will see a lot of that.

finaly ONE guy around here who is actualy caring about ranger pets other then to stow them into oblivion this must reach the eyes of the dev and be applicated right away i mean come on why not actualy grants our furry animals the love they always deserved.
Just the agressive and dire option is an improvement but that symbiosis thing looks wonderfull and im not talking about stat scaling wich is a dream coming true (finaly a freaking pet build that actualy does dps and isnt called (i buff myself and pet is an accessory)

Could the guild map be customisable with a gvg arena as well as a small room for duels? I mean you have not been so in a hurry to create deathmatch style map like in GW 1 RA 5v5 so would you mind making a 1v1 map in the guild hall for player conveniance?
Save for that you could add progressive additionnal npc that grants service pretty much like in town based on the guild current power and level. Guild hall need not just be a hub but also a sanctuary. Make it so the guild leader can customise the place like idk the SIMS by purchasing various stuff with influance like a standing plush quaggan and what not and hand placing them in the hall
Since we at it there should be various possible guild map to begin construction on
exemple
1. Maguma deep jungle (a dense forest wich resemble much a treetop housing map)
2. Asuran crew lab (all in the rata sum style)
3. Charr steampunk bunker (a warrior den that could handle a full siege)
4. Norn lodge (a safe place to rest away from the cold of the shiverpeak)
5. Droknar forge reborn (a dwarven relic of the past rebuilt on)
6. Human village (in the old krytan fashion)
7. Tengu refuge (In the old canthan style)
8. Hero ascent (a stronghold in the middle of a volcano)
9. Sylvaris planthouses (a vegetal town the like of the grove, a restfull place with a vegetal theme to it)
10. Island (a small island with a pirate base)
11. Classic guild hall (a classic guild hall in the fashion of guild wars 1 zaishen town)
Heavily themed guild hall isnt so bad and you can always build in 2 or 3 template for less thematic guild because yes we to like to roleplay and limiting maps to a single option for everyone can be kind of lame for idk a sylvaris or ranger guild for instance who would like a more natural set up.

Well in theory it also mean some elitist jerk can kick you out of your own party and start rulling the place as long as hes not alone even if you made a ‘’casual run we play what we want’’ announcement of the like. Sometime for a guy running casual build the best way to defend itself against meta build abuse was to be the dungeon owner so to prevent some kitten of declaring ‘’muuust speedrun everythiiiing’’. Now in the name of effectiveness you can officialy be kicked out of your own instance the moment some guy in full zerker decrete that everyone must run the meta or be gone. Worse yet no leader also means any 2 man cell team of guildies can kick everyone in the party and replace them with their guildmate at a moment notice if they wishes to all they need is two click and thats that. Griefer paradise? Yes very likely. They should at least require the majority to vote first

small notice trought ranger has no access to an instant cast stability as both signet of the wild and RAO require a channeling time :P

Ill be honest while i understand the principe of punishment and hardcounter behing forced to build specificaly just so to counter a specialist wich is encountered once in every 100 match is kind of not worth it. Result is those guys likely will always wreck but will get wrecked by the one rare build that actualy incapacitated itself so to be able to endure it (note that this doesnt even garentee the win mesmer is as elusive as it is anoying to deal with and should a guy just prove to difficult to kill he will likely just run away or aim for someone else).
Theres very little point on building a build based around cc break and stability (save for bunkers in wich case its nearly essential), you waste way to many utility for next to nothing and unless you a ranger spamming perma stab from RAO and signet you likely wont be running anything good. Look i do add 1 or 2 cc breaker to my skill list but unless the move in itself is very worth picking (RAO for exemple) i will next to never carry around more then a single stability source and thats if i can actualy afford one.

Ill point out that tornado is prety much in the same state as lich form
1. no heal
2. Big target that says please kill me
3. Little damage in comparison to what ele can do out of it it serve mainly as a Decap but you wont be able to use it to kill people or likely wont be able to.
FGS force you into conjure weapon mode, i have respect for people who use ice bow in pvp and manage to pull it off by FGS wont be of any use save as a mobility tool.
Elemental elite used to be realy strong and a big ‘’gtfo or get burned’’ button now its prety much the why would i care button because it force the ele to activate it just to make it deal damage something the old ele didnt require.
Now now i dont mind to sound like i hate on everything those elite are cool but i think they definitively arent lethal or usefull enought when you compare them to stuff like ranger spirits/rampage as one, enginer crate, warrior signet, necro golem, mesmer mass invis/moa, guardian invuln recharge. -.-’ lets just admit that every profession save ours got at least one elite that can actualy turn the tide of a 1 v 1 battle and that ele elite is kind of dismal in its current state. I mean holy hell the fire elemental elite used to be a get wrecked button.
Now i got an idea that will contain both of that.
The lab
Flavor type: Underground inquest lab
Special feature: Contingency Units
What it do: When broken open a Strong npc such as a Ettin or a giant gets out and starts to capture and defend a point for the team that set it free. After a set amount of time the npc are sheperded back to their containment unit by Inquest scientist.
Goal: Capture and hold all 3 point while freeing the lab test subjects so to gain offensive support and point holding (note that only 2 of the 3 point have a containment unit and that the npc will only go to 2 of the 3 point at the player choice (can be redirected to guard a defrent point by speaking to the npc).
Whats the catch? Every single of those guys is as strong as svanir or the chieftain if not stronguer and can certainly by himself be a mess to handle, as such you will need not only to fight the ennemy team on that point but also the anoying npc.

well that’s kind of lame. 3 vote would be a good idea that way unless they have a whole guild of hater in your party they wont just be able to remove everyone just because 1 guy has a tooth against you. Ive seen lots of griefer in dungeons run all it take is one hater and a guy gets the kick boot no mather how well he play so long as another guy who likely is clueless to why hes doing it click the green hook.

Small fact in spvp most people fight at very close range (less then 1000) at this point i prefer to chain CC and burn with RF when they are unable to move then when all cd are done switch to GS and burn them twice more switching to LB afterward. You are way more likely to take an arrow to the face when your circling around a point close range (about 500 or 600) to the ranger then when running away in wich case i don’t mind ill just close the gap with my GS.
in theory theres 4 thing you want to know to playing BM
1- maximised pet damage require at least 6 point into beast mastery
2- you likely need might on crit for the pet
3- you likely need an axe for might to pet
4- you will likely have to trait 3 in nature magic for buff share
ends up as 0 4 0 3 6 with a 1 point that is roaming around. the alternate option behing 4 2 0 3 5 or 4 3 0 3 4
That other option of course behing viable mainly if you use a lot of signets.
considering you need to at least have 4 in skirmish just so to get fury and swift on swap along with might on crit and pet crit damage upgrade i don’t see where marksman has any point left to it unless you actualy plan to run dual signet with might on signet marksmanship in wich case youl have at least 6 might most of the time but still even then running 25 might stack on pet either require Rampage as one to be active or to run axe (note that axe with might on crit can perma grant 25 might to the pet).
Current issue to running a real BM build is that axe AA doesn’t deal enough damage by itself while path of scar is decent at best and good only if it hit both way and splitblade is just plenty useless.
Regardless of build fortifying bond is somewhat mendatory to keep pet effective as your furry animal wont have any possibility to gain might otherwise
if what you looking for is a longbow or sword hybrid that’s another story. if you realy not gunna use axe then likely 4 4 0 0 6 is more like it.
