I don’t know if it’s a bad thing.

I’m just saying that a bunch of people would probably have 3 new lvl80 every month without even trying since they do dungeon everyday anyway.

I have 25 level 80 right now. If Anet do what you said. I can get a full account of 64 character to lvl80 by just doing some dungeons, use a lvl20 scroll and spend a few gold to get 400 chef.

Pretty cool, if Anet did what you suggested. All my 64 characters will be lvl80 in 9 month without even trying.

I suppose a well necromancer is good at that. What other class can solo a camp of mobs instantly and cap it.

Well, there are many people doing dungeons everyday. At this rate many dungeon runners will have a level80 every 10 days.

I’m getting so many tomes from pvp and dailys already. At this rate, no one will ever need to “even try” to level alt again.

i’m currently playing those build.

I think more than anything, those build takes very little skill. So any new players can pawn other new players using those build.

It gets lesser and lesser effective when you go up the rank though. I dotn’ think people even use those build at high level. But it’s a good build if you dont’ have skills and good at pawning other lowbies.

well, there will probably be no point on leveling since it only take a few days of doing dungeon to get another character to lvl80.

but I do support it, since it is “really” annoying when people switch. Or just dont’ give out exp if some low level is way out of the dungeon level range.

Maybe Anet should give you tougher opponent.

And you have 30% win ratio for 5 days. Please QQ more. I’m not sure what you are complaining. You loss a few games more than usual.

it has decided that it will instead give me matches that are against my favor of winning nonstop for 5 days. These are matches the system has decided that I’m not suppose to win, simply because I went ahead in a positive score in its 50% matched prediction rate.

It’s definitely not suppose to work that way at all. Just cause I managed to win the majority of my matches the system put a 50% win rate on. It doesn’t mean it should now put me in matches I’m not suppose to win almost all the time afterwards.

I read your post. I was pawning newbies left and right too, until I get put in matches with good players.

My point is you didn’t even loss that much game and you start complaining.

I think you have a point to complain if you “continue” to have a 20%-30% win ratio. But your overall win/ratio isn’t even far from 50% and you start complaining.

If everyone is suppose to have 50-70% win ratio, who get the loss?

I think you should complain if the trend continue, but it’s only a few days, you lost a few games and you complain.

You have to realize, when you have your win streak, someone is having their lossing streak.

That’s definitely a matchmaking problem, that is an awful win rate.

I don’t know if it was meant sarcastic or not. But if you check on the link in the first post, you can obviously check that the majority of my matches are one sided matches against me. For example look at the 25th of December. I went 4 wins and 15 losses. But that day I still ended up gaining 2 points instead of losing points.

Which is logical to assume, that I won matches (or scored more) than we were suppose to in some of those matches and in the one sided matches we weren’t suppose to win, we just scored enough to not get any loss points.

THAT, is certainly a matchmaking problem cause that same behavior has been going straight for 5 days now.

system notice you are winning. So you are given some handicap. If you still manage to win with roughly 50% chance, you go up in ladder.

honestly it’s just karma getting back at you. If you keep on lossing, you’ll be put in better teams. Like I said, you arn’t complaining before when you are winning.

I never care that much if I loss, since I’ll get put in better team in the future.

You are not getting the point… The point is time played = high leaderboard rank……

a. These leaderboarss should be for teams not solo ( it’s rated team arena…)
B. It shouldn’t be time based (min 100 games, after that it should stop)
C.the last leaderboards did show the best players… Decay needed tweaking .. An overhaul was overkill

I think the system is bad too. I dont’ know why they put soloq and teamq on the same ladder.

And I probably agree with you, since esports… probably mean you are suppose to be on a team. So people more serious and form a team should be on top of ladder.

I think you probabaly have a point on time played = higher ranking. But I think one of the problem is this testing period is so short, and you probably can’t determine much by just a few games.

If it is a full season over a few month, “probably” more can be shown.

Maybe the people who are top now, can’t move up any more and they are cap at that place, and the people who play less who are actually good can catch up as time progress.

I can’t honestly say the testing failed just by a few days when it’s out.

well probably. If you play in a team game, all of your teamates have high ratting too. So even if you win, I doubt you get much point.

I dont’ think the ladder is fair though. Since how do you determine who is better. The best teamq players or the best soloq players.

Then the best way would be make new dungeon and give more reward to low level players for complete this dungeon.

New dungeons would be awesome… if only…

And dungeons do give much more to lower levels as you actually gain experience… and a LOT of it.

I think the reason Anet didn’t do that is because they are afraid people wont’ be able to find parties if they split the player base too much.

So they kind of force new players to play with other lvl80.

Remember there isn’t even a LFG tool before.

i kind of agree with this. Low level dungeon is just too difficult for new players.

That being said, I just did a SE path 1 and 3 with a bunch of lvl80 players that are new to the dungeon. The dungeon took so long. Those people are first time to the dungeon, and dont’ know what to do.

Regardless of what their level is, if they havn’t done it before, it’s going to be hard for them.

Oh ya, one of the guy rage quit. And he is new to the dungeon. So please dont’ say experienced players won’t help new players. People are impatient weather they run the dungeon once or 100 times. I think the guy get fed up because he can’t skip pass the run at path 3. I didn’t even complain because I spend so much time waiting, I could have solo the boss faster.

And mind you I said in the LFG “Path 1/3 lvl80 experienced”. 3 of them never even done the dungeon before.

Why is the bell choir such a chore, that’s my question. You need to complete a single song a day. Just one.

I’m not saying that the jumping puzzle is easy, but the bell choir? Should take you about ten minutes. Everything else is relatively easy.

Why should there not be one semi-diffucult thing. It’s not like you have to complete the entire series of songs to get credit for the daily.

It really isn’t that hard.

The JP you get a “complete” for just standing at the start till the match is up. Not sure if that’s intended or not though.

you mean you can get the daily by just standing at the entrance?( or at least keep failing till the time is up?)

I have a problem with bell chior at first.

The trick is to hit the button after the tone “get into the circle”.

I was always hitting early before so can’t do it. After I learn the trick it is fairly easy to at least complete 1 song.

the daily is capped anyway. So it doesn’t really matter if you miss a day or two. Just means you capped it at a later day. That is assume you actually keeps on playing.

Remember a 7.5k ap thief complaining that we wiped on kholer he left when he died the second try and the rest of us completed that boss on 4.

He’s not joking. If it is a regular lvl80 pug group with dps gear. People can pretty much auto attack him before the group wipe.

I find GW2 beginner dungeon to be too confusing for new players. When I started doing intro dungeon in other mmorpg, I can simply find my ways through, and complete it without prior knowledge. I doubt a group of completely new players know what to do in AC without quite a few wipes.

And when people say most people dont’ want to group with low levels…. well if you are low level you can group with other low level. I dont’ have a problem forming a group called “LFM anyone welcome, or LFM low level group”. If you are low level and don’t want to group with low level yourself. Dont’ expect other people will.

The thing is instead of wasting time competing GW2 with other MOBA games. Anet could have just make another MOBA games.

Think of it this way. Most MOBA constantly release new hero. That is not happening in GW2 since if Anet release new class that have to work in pve too.

Dungeons have always been content for lvl 80s. When i started playing i was only doing story mode dungeons on my first character until i got to lvl 80 and kept doing other stuff to lvl up. If you join a dungeon group on a low lvl character you are basically being carried. Now with the changes to traits and stats to new characters it is even worse.

If you want to lvl up your alt in dungeons just switch characters when the last boss is almost dead, that way you will be more useful and will stop leeching, or keep pugging with your alt but dont expect that full lvl 80 groups welcome you with open arms, run then with other lowbies too ^^

No, AC exp is 35+, the mobs are level 35.

well you know, do it with other level 35 then. That’s what I did for a good month when I have nothing else to do.

hack, many new players dont’ even know where AC is. Many times I spend a good 15 minutes just waiting for some low level to find where the entrance of AC is. While a good experienced group of level80 can clear AC in 15 minutes.

Obviously if you are so good that you can solo AC fast, it wont’ take long to carry some low levels.

But if even AC was filled with 80 zerkers, how are the low level ppl going to find much fun in exp dungeon?? Wasn’t it designed mainly for level 35+? Even to lowbies, the best way is to switch in the end of the run to get the exp.

They added 5 fractals. 2 of them is just a single boss fight. They also removed one of the explorable dungeon and added a new one called aetherblade. The new aetherblade dungeon is comparable in length to arah.

You get better reward for doing struture pvp now. There is pvp track.

There is a new WvW map called EOTM. Most people use this map to level faster, farming karma, or badges of honor. Since people just keep flipping objective and not really defending much.

They added 2 maps which is kind of like orr. Where you have events you can farm stuff called dry top, and silverwaste.

They added some living story(which is kind of like your personal story). Where you do instanced story line.

I hope they find some use. But hopefully it’s not good enough that people’ll spend time purposely buying blues/greens on the TP to salvage.

I already spend enough of my time to do mind boggling boring stuff. Raising magic find to 300 by spending 30 minutes buying blues and greens everyday on the TP is mind boggling boring enough already.

Maybe something that eat luck like Mawdrey. eat 50 exotic luck essence and give you back a box which drop something.

guardian is the way to go if you do pug dungeon/fractal.

For premade, it depend on what your group is lacking.

I once get kicked out of a fractal group because I’m a guardian. I accidently joined one of those elite dungeon speed run group(judging by their guild name). And someone complained I’m a guardian and got kicked. Guardian dont’ have much in ability to stacking might. But is the best in pug, because of reflect, and the ability to burst spam heal if needed, and ability to give protection to guild. You can quickly switch build depend on how good/bad your group is.

For Spvp you can play whatever you like. Obviously because you can play spvp at any level. Warrior is “really” hard to play in spvp though. So not recommended if you are a beginner in to spvp.

For wvw, I dont’ really know. Warrior have one of the best mobility. So warrior can roam from point to point really fast. If you are into karama farming(capping point), warrior is nice. Guardian staff is pretty awson in large group, since he can spam staff 1 and hit many target. Also stability and empowered is nice for large group combat.

no. there would have to be flying mounts for that, or an extremely revolutionary invention allowing ZeroG. there’d be all sorts of issues about propulsion and drag, etc. plus would need all sorts of new moves and mechanics involved. would also utterly destroy wvw as it is now, as well as unbalance pve.

How do you determine who get the top of leader board?

The best team queue player or the best solo queue player.

Some one point out the problem. There are teams with really high win/ratio that is lower in ladder compare to someone who solo queue who have lots of loss.

Obviously having a high win ratio with solo queue is harder, but how do you determine who is better?

Only thing putting additional rewards is increase the price of blue and greens. since people get more from buying blues and greens from TP to salvage.

You just need to login an accumulate of 28 days to get the laurel.

So if you login 28 times in 3 month, you still can get the end rewards.

^ This is the exact reason I am trying to describe to you guys.

I think people just dont’ understand why you are complaining.

Do you mean you like getting laurel everyday instead of getting laurels in packages? In most days you get none and all of a sudden you get 10 or 15.

It’s basically the same as before except you dont’ get them everyday.

That is part of the problem. With the old system I log in when I want and do what I want and get a laurel.

Now I have to keep logging in or I don’t get laurels.

I think you are mistaken. You don’t need to login 28 times in a month to get the laurel.

You just need to login an accumulate of 28 days to get the laurel.

So if you login 28 times in 3 month, you still can get the end rewards.

As long as you login 28 days, you get all the laurel. So for example if you only login 28 times in a year, you get I think 35 laurel. You can also choose to get 20 more depending if you want laurel/legendary/ascended chest as the 28th day reward.

I honestly don’t know how much profit you can make.

I doubt the profit is that much. Else everyone will be doing it and price will drop significantly.

Even if it is good profit, you need to understand many people find that boring. Take for example, the halloween, I can make 30 gold/hour with maize balm. But I did it for a few hours and give up. It’s just mind bothering boring.

Someone shared me a way to make 30 gold/hour this wintersday. But I still dont’ do it. Because it’s just really boring. You spend all days clicking.

That being said, the market regulate it self. If it’s really profitable, a bunch of people will do it and it’ll no longer be profitable.

I was making 6 gold per skill point a few weeks ago, untill the price catch up and many people is doing it and there is no longer profitable.

I dont’ understand how the system before is bad. There is a solo queue and there is a group queue. I dont’ understand why Anet remove that.

FF14 is actually doing better than GW2 AND its already added 2 classes and announced its expansion. So, if theyre waiting for something, its for someone to play something else.

…added 4 classes since 1.0 and announced an expansion with a new race and 3 more classes in half the time the game has been out compared to GW2. If ANet wanted to wait for the competition to make their move, they missed the window.

It also cost 4 times more (16 months sub + box price) to play it for half the time compared to GW2.

I hope that’s not the impression GW2 is just a cheaper alternative for poor people.

I actaully have a FF14 sub, and I can honest say I like GW2 much better. And I think GW2 quality is much better. So I barely play FF14 even I have sub to it.

I didn’t play GW2 because there’s no sub.

Or they could just be waiting until the ten year anniversary of the franchise.

That would be nice. Only 4 month away.

Regardless hope there’s some thing is happening during the anniversay eventhough I didn’t play GW1.
