They don’t make enough difference for them to be required, so I won’t rush getting them.

It is not a new tier of gear.
It is the exact same tier that we have in game a year ago. There might be new slots, but the tier itself is not new.
As for the difference it will not be more than a few %, far from enough to matter in real fights.

I am assuming that the current plans are for no other tiers, just expanding on Legendary Tier, but not adding anything new.

And people that can only fit in an hour a night at most are not really the target for these kind of achievements. Simple as that.

If you can’t play the game on a regular and somewhat “meaningful” (in lack of a better word) basis why should you get the same reward as someone that can?

What about people that can only play 1 hour a week? Should we change all achievements so that you only need to log in to get them?

It’s not about the money you need to spend, but the way they do it.
I bought few thousand gems already by RL money. I have 11 slots, 8 maxed characters, 11 sets of unlimited gathering tools, max number of bank tabs, max number of bags on my characters, I event bought digital deluxe for gems. I’m not afraid to spend money, but I don’t want to be forced to.

What If I have 4k gems on me and I don’t have a thing to spend them on?!
I need to but another 4k for an item I can’t get otherwise?!
(Next time it easily can be an armor or weapon)

I never really understood these kind of “arguments”.

There is nothing at all that implies that they would add weapons and/or armor that is only obtainable this way. Keep in mind that this was most likely added specifically because of people being mad about having to go to a convent to get access to it.

But then again going with your logical why not assume that soon we will HAVE to buy gems in order to even log into the game!!!! :o

I am not against these avhievs. I am against the number of targets. An average player who plays in the evenings have no time to do it all “in the process.” He forced to focus specifically on this to complete. This imposing of play style allready.

And yet someone that actually plays WvW more than for just the season one achievements would have done more than enough of those to have completed the meta in the 7 weeks it was possible without even trying.

Just because all we see is a “little text and a few pictures” doesn’t mean that is all that is needed for a preview.

You are also ignoring the fact that we have gotten quite a bit of stuff by playing the game the last months (more or less every single living Story chapter have rewarded us with either a mini or a back-pack skin.

If you don’t feel “rewarded” enough for buying something then simply don’t buy it.
Or if you feel like you really “need” it, play the game, get gold, trade gold for gems and buy it that way.

That is very much incorrect.
I don’t know what kind of series you watch but more or less every single one I have seen does not have conflict and resolution. I suppose it would be true with a series like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D where each episode is quite self-contained, but in series that does have an over-arching story (such as the Living Story in GW2) there very uncommon to have conflict and resolution in every single episode.

Until yesterday we “knew” Dec 10 would only be a balancing patch. But now we know that it will also include new skills, so why not assume there is more we do not know?

Canthan New Year is however in not until late January/February, and since we don’t have Cantha it is quite unlikely that they will add any specific things for that (they didn’t this year after all).

You bought gems during a period of time when this bonus was not available, thus there is no reason why you should get said bonus. That is how it works with all kinds of bonuses like this.

Did these updates come every two weeks? No. But they were lasting changes, they improved and expanded the game world, and they pretty much blow the GW2 LS out of the water in the regard.

You are however ignoring the fact that the vast majority of those updates came during the time the game required an subscription to play, so technically you paid for them with said subscription, while in GW2 you don’t need to pay anything outside of the box-price to get access to all the releases.

Quite clearly ArenaNet doesn’t think so. And I would agree with that.
One way they could mitigate their losses would be to increase the price of skins quite a bit, but then people wouldn’t buy them anyway.

The thing is many people thought Prophecies “got better” when Nightfall and Abaddon was released, due to it tying stuff together.
Why assume it won’t be the same here when we see the ending of Scarlet?

It should also be the job of WvW players to escort and make sure their dolyaks actually gets to their destination.

Dolyaks shouldn’t have a free passage just because there are no enemy players around.

So scarlet didn’t cause the reactor to go boom in the end nothing she said suggested that she did. How molten alliance was teleporting in though is a major question though I thought they where formed after.

I have done the Reactor several times, and I have yet to see a single Molten Alliance mob teleporting in, so please tell me where they are.

I have seen Flame Legion, Dredge, Ascalonians, Skritt, Nightmare Hounds and Aatxe, but never a single Molten Alliance one.

No, they wouldn’t be entitled to a refund. Since the item they buy is the item advertised in the gem-store.
It is fully possible that ArenaNet will give refunds however, but they are in no way or form required to do so.

The accounts used for spamming are banned.
The main issue is that people are stupid enough to keep buying gold and/or lose their accounts, which creates more spammers.

As for the website itself it is not really much ArenaNet can do.

The restriction is there for technological reasons.
Not something they can just remove just like that.
I am quite sure that if they could, they already would have done so.

While there are many nordic people (I am swede myself) playing I doubt it is enough to to actually justify a whole new server.

They can’t just start servers because a somewhat large group of people from a certain area happens to be playing. Especially not considering that they would need to start servers in packs of three due to WvW

Pretty much the only reason they haven’t launched is to avoid tweaking the first WvW season. No reason to think they won’t come out on the 10th.

Just because something is in the dat doesn’t mean it will be implemented in the coming months.

I do agree though, it is quite likely that they are coming on the 10th.

They might see an increase, but will the increase be big enough to cover the loss of sales from one-time skins and Transmutation crystals/stones/splitter?

And some people don’t have the time/ability to get all achievements done, and therefore the dailies are added so that they can still get the meta if they want to.
And that is how they enjoy the game.

Well if it is indeed true you don’t pay for the mini anyway.
You pay for the gems and then get a mini as a bonus.

Major revamps of rewards
New dungeon system with 15 different parts.
Several new changed added to WvW
Complete revamp of most of the maps in WvW.
Account Wallet
Achievement revamp
Daily and monthy changes
Major changes to maps
Added map
Added events
Added JPs
Added mini-dungeons

All these things are permanent additions to the game. And I would say it is quite unusual for an expansion to involve all that and more. Sure they might add more raw area, but when it comes to actual content and features I haven’t really seen many expansions that tops that.
