Not a whole lot of new stuff, there is one shot that looks like a mordrem version of the lane defense that we saw during the marionette but I don’t see that happen… Not a whole lot to see tbh, I find it hard to get super pumped when I see a dragon in a trailer when its just roaring and not really doing stuff….

To be fair people have been speculating about a marionette style boss in SW since the map was released and we could see the three lanes. So I wouldn’t really say it is impossible or even unlikely that something like that might happen.

^ Well to be fair you can just have them join you and do the story that way. You can join the instances if someone that have them unlocked starts them after all.

People really should stop spreading these. If they are indeed correct, that would suggest that one of the alpha-testers is leaking information, which might end up with them simply shutting down the “public” alpha groups.

One could of course point out that people that have the ability to take 2 weeks vacations don’t really have that much trouble spending those few dollars to buy the gems needed either.

I am still not sure the Pact will actually survive the attack on Mordemoth ^^

Yes it’s too much, specially considering most episodes last about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Anet doesn’t know how to reward players coming back and is just discouraging them by asking them to farm for 50g or take out their wallet to play content that was promised to be free. It’s inconsistent with their free to play business model.

They have never ever in any way or form said that every single piece of content ever released in the game will be free of charge.

There is also the fact that you can trade gold for gems which makes it even less of an supposed issue.

They actually are new. Maybe not new as of this sale, but they are new nonetheless.

But if you indeed do feel like it is false advertising you can of course bring it to court and gain some money if you wish. (Hint: It won’t work).

The interesting thing about people shouting about Cantha is that back during GW1s time many people said over and over again how Factions was the worst campaign.

I’m pretty sure ANet isn’t going to break any molds on this one, though. Usually when a developer makes changes to a game, it’s very rare they’ll go back to an old system that worked better and say “sorry, we goofed up”. Usually they’ll stick with the new system and try to fix it until the point it’s a horrible, confusing mess.

To be fair they did it somewhat with the Currency exchange.
Not going back to the exact same as before, but went back to a hybrid.

Many games have Dual Class systems that work. But how would such a system work under GW2’s rules?

Name one game where a Dual Class system actually worked well (and take balancing and such into consideration).
And no, it didn’t really work all that well in Guild Wars 1.

When talking about the employees we have to keep in mind that multiple of the positions might very well be filled by NCSoft people rather than ArenaNet people., seeing as ArenaNet is fully owned by NCSoft and not its own entity. Support staff and such would most likely be NCSoft rather than ArenaNet for example.

You can enter both PvP and WvW the moment you get access to your race capital. Which should be around level 2.

We do know however that these are the only mediums of communication that the devs have available. There are no in game polls to express content with the game and opinions on certain issues.

Communication is rather important.

Why are people so confused about the point of the HoM rewards?
Wasn’t it basically released at the same time as EotN EXACTLY what the rewards would be? Which was also at the same time as they even announced the HoM in the first place.

There were never anything that even suggested that you would be able to directly transfer stuff between the two games, quite the opposite in-fact.

4: Play the game until one team kills the enemy lord.
5: ???
6: GvG successfully emulated.

No one would really know that it were your initials unless you told them, so not really a problem I would say.

Gw1 PvP was always better because Gw1 had amazing build diversity and customisation. It meant that PvP was genuinely interest and different a lot of the time. Gw2 PvP lacks because people pretty much run the same one or two builds per profession and if they don’t then they are almost guaranteed to fail hard.

To be fair that is basically exactly how it was in GW1 as well. While there were loads of skills in GW1 very few were actually used and there were only very few of the builds that actually worked well in PvP.

So you want fair, even matches AND a short queue time?

That will not work, unless there is suddenly a massive influx of PvP only focused players of all different skill levels and all time-zones.

In all honesty, if an expansion does come in 2015 assuming they announced it on the same year, I’d be more worried than hyped as it usually pertains to rushed content as opposed to announcing it on 2015 and releasing it say a year later.

That is of course assuming that they don’t really start with the expansion until they announces it. Which is rather clearly false when it comes to ArenaNet.
They only announce what will happen (or rather hint at) a week before the new Living Story Episode, that doesn’t mean the episode is created during that week.

No. We know that S2 continues on January 13th. There is no information whatsoever about if that is the very final part of S2 or if it is just the continuation of the story with multiple new episodes before the big finale.

The armor set doesn’t really tell us much either. Only that we will get the last two parts with Episode 8. For all we know with a potential Episode 9 we will get another set (there have been new armors data-mined recently).

The answer is most likely no.

It would cost very much money and take a massive amount of time to translate the whole game.

And even if only for the chat, that would require hiring GMs and support staff that could read Hebrew which would also be a rather large cost.

Since the Hebrew-speaking part of the community is probably very small there is really nothing that can validate spending said money and time for it.

Yes, in cases like these (doing same thing several times, trying to get others banned because of the same thing and not even considering stopping unless getting caught on stream), very first punishment should be permaban.

Maybe he/they wouldn’t do it on second account anymore.

If I commit a bunch crime in the real world, but only ever get caught doing the latest crime, with no actual proof that I have committed the earlier crimes.
Should my punishment also take into consideration the earlier crimes that I might have done, even if I was never punished for those crimes?

The punishment record is what matters (at least in the real world) not how many potential crimes you might have done in the past.

Great question. The total number is much larger, only those 6 and myself will ever be visible.

That shows rather clear that they have way more than 6 people.

We don’t know when the finale for Season 2 is. And we do not know how it ends and as such we also have no idea if there will be any breaks or how long any potential break would be. And no, they can’t really tell us without giving us more information than they should.

It is actually more explained now how you get your traits than it was before. Before you had to find the profession trainers and buy a random book (without any actual information) now you can just press the trait you might be interested in and it tells you EXACTLY what you must do in order to get it.

And once again: Should the very first punishment really be a permanent ban?

He did? As I remember it, he only banished Rurik. He certainly seems eager enough to have your character back in the epilogue instance and titan quests.

I seem to recall him banishing anyone who made the journey with Rurik, but then again it was quite some time ago that I played early Prophecies, so might remember incorrectly.

The recipe will have been unlocked on the character you used the recipe on, even if said character don’t have that crafting profession at that time.
