They can provide a rollback, but they only do when your account was compromised by a third party. Compromised means that someone gained unauthorised access against your will. Now off course you didn’t want you GF to do this but you either invited her in your home or you allready live together and you agreed on living together and sharing a home. So she was rightfully in the room with the computer and didnt force access.

Furthermore you did had the auto-login activated. This means you trusted the people who has access to your computer and your GF did force her way into your account.

This is an issue between you and your gf and Anet will not likely interfere with that.

The same as the nightmare court people with whips?? In case of the nightmare court, it is range-kinda skills. but npc’s and foes professions are not directly related to playable ones.

2: I think this went to the PvP locker. You can access this and equip them in the heart of the mists. Be warned that cause you chose them to be a pvp item you can only wear it in sPvP and not in e.g. towns, WvWvW and world maps. The PvP-locker is an actual locker in the hart of the mists

3: If you ment to ge tthe items as a PvE item you may try and file a support ticket at support.guildwars2.com (aska question). I am not saying they will refund the gems, but they might! do that.

Added is a screenshot of me looking in my locker in the hearts of the mist with the slot where the profane chest goes showing and with the minimap showing for guidance where to look in the heart of the mists.

The pact staff is not the best reference to be honest. It is a lot longer then most other staffs. From your pics of the fractal staff it is in line with most other staffs on asura’s

There is a suggestion thread somewhere to change the general position of staffs on asura’s. Maybe you want to find that one and give it some support. This doesnt belong in the bug section though.

Bottom line is that I did all temple events several times and with success on the first attempt. Balthazar and Grenth are indeed easier to fail, but still very doable if you know what your doing.

I didn’t mean the design for the events themselves I mean the intent of anet behind adding karma jugs. There is after all no other use for karma apart from legendaries.

I do truly not think that the karma jugs where added to match this but more to make daily achievements more interesting.

Basicly each skin has only one or two ways of getting it. The method differs per skin you want. Some methods used:

- Gem only: these skins are actually bought as skins wich you apply over an existing piece of equipment and can be bought in the TP (be carefull there are also townclothes wich are more limited in usage).

- Crafted: These skins are crafted by players and are often the most available on the trade post.

- Storyline rewards

- Karma traders (renown hearts and later on temple karma merchants)

- weapon and armor smiths

- Cultural armorsmiths (for gold and unique to your race) and Cultural weaponsmith (for karma, can be any race)

- Order armor and weapons (armor is unique to your order wich you picked at level 29 but can be changed with transmuations gems and stones, ask if you want details bout that process, its a bit long to explain)

- Dungeon armor and weapons, available for dungeon tokens, each dungeon has its specifick kind and they drop as a reward for doing explorablemode of that dungeon.

- Hall of monuments armor and weapons (again skins only, these are a reward for playing GW1 for a prolonged time).

- Map completion rewards
- Mystic forge (afaik weapons, backpacks and trinkets only). They require specifick recipes to follow wich can range from a few hours work to several months of work..

Best thing to do is to find out the base name of the weapon of armor you want. the base name is often without the prefix and suffix.

So for example if an item on e.g. the TP is called ‘Carrion Winged boots’or Winged boots of the Soldier.
The base name is winged boots and the armor name is winged armor.

Besides previewing on the TP and asking players to ping their armor/weapons you can also go to external sites.

No thats phase 2, he is refering to phase 3. This is what the wiki is saying bout this:

I disagree bout keeping the max range as a viable option due to the other attacks and how he moves a lot in this phase. I have seen that stability combined with dodging help you escape the bubble. If you got caught in it and dont have that possibillity
then do not move! Trying to escape the bubble while it is up only makes it worse. Heal and remove contions til lthe bubble is gone and then run like hell, stay a bit to the back till your healing is back up.

You asume that farming materials are the only way of making money. Being someone who is in the proces of making a legendary and who doesnt want to spent real life money on it I realise a few things.

First of all it takes dedication to do it
Second it will take time.

I know that farming for mats is a good way to get money,but I prefer doing dungeons. We have a good stable dungeon team in my guild wich can handle anything. We make a good amount of money that way every day plus I get dungeon tokens wich I sue to get exotic weapons to put in the mystic toilet. For me it can go two ways
- I’m lucky and the toilet gives me the precursor
- I’m not lucky and have to buy it.

Either way I see it as possible and doable if you are dedicated to your goal

Thats incorrect IMHO, the game is set up so you should have enough karma when you reach 80 to buy a temple set as your first exotic if you want.

As stated later and in my post. the exceptions are Grenth and Balthazar. They take a little bit more smart thinking.

I dont know what the amount of karma has to do with this and I do believe you are incorrect. If you level a character to 80 and do one month of daily’s and monthly you have enough karma for a templeset (if you open the jugs with the boosters on).

a: Reboot your computer if you dont do this often.

c: un-install and redownload the game
d: re-install windows

Fill in the same displayname. I remember this from upgrading my BWE-trial account to my real account. Fill in the same name, verify that the same 4 digits appear and your upgrading your account.

If you play it in the sequence I said:

Character through first part of prophecy’s: 5 hours max! (so 1 day)
Character through factions the first time: 5 days (including two days of factions farming, I highly recommend reading the wiki for mission guidance and choosing luxon. It’s a lot easier to solo.
Nightfall: 7 days
Prophecy’s: 9 days
Eye of the North: 5 days
GW Beyond content (like e.g. war in Kryta): 10 days (winds of change is rather challenging, as well as parts of war in kryta.

So all in all it should be doable in a little over 1 month.

You dont need the email to enter the dungeon. The email is just an advert letting you know the dungeon is available. You get it autmaticly when you meet the minimum requirement.

With or without the email you gust go to the location of the dungeon entrance and walk in to start it.

As mentioned you friend will need to file a support ticket to get this resolved.

If you handle big amounts of gold your account is automaticly marked as suspicious. A GM reviews this and if not clear what the origin of the gold is or what the reason for sending is, they suspend the account.

The best way to solve this is to ‘act’ a bit. Even when you are in the same room or on VoIP communication, make sure you let the system know in the email what you are doing. Also make sure it is a person on the friendslist and preferably the same guild.

First of all Im not support. So I’m reacting from an outsite point of view. The provided screenshot proves not much in my opinion. First off all, the recent purchases don’t show any dates. So it could very well be that you bought the other pick before the mystic forge stones.

Besides that you are not showing the second email that came with the second pick. So I don’t see any proof. (not saying your a liar either btw).

I do hope an arenanet official can clear this up for you.

Comparing the support model of a subscription free game where you have ton’s of content plus additional content released on a regular basis, with a game that charges you 10 bucks every months is simply wrong. Yes Arenanet will be the first to admit that Blizzards has a better support model. But they also have the time and people to do so.

What you are asking for is only possible with a monthly fee. And honestly and with all respect to you, I dont want to pay a monthly fee cause of someone elses stupidity

The minimum requirements are not a garantee that the game will run smoothly. The problem is indeed the 32 bits windows version in combination with the VGA driver. You prolly have an nvidia gforce GT card.

As far as I know the problem doesnt exist with an geforce GTX card or another brand of chipset. The GT line is the budget line of chipsets compared with the GTX-line

As I proposed in a different thread, it doesnt need to be the script and I would like to make it broader.

A script is marking your account with a suspicious flag. A GM is reviewing those flags and hits the ban button. There is no autmatic banning. So maybe just give the GM’s better training in recognising false flags??

I have one of my guildmembers report the same thing. it has never been a game bug, but more an account issue. So you might want to file a support ticket. This makes it easier for support to fix it for you personally.

However, following this forum for a long time the answer will likely be negative. It is not Arenanet’s policy to refund things bought with ingame currency, specially when it is your own mistake and not theirs. They are even claiming that they dont have the mod tools to do so. Wether this is true claim or not remains point of discussion, bottom line will be that they won’t do this.

I also noted that people are claiming this while the troll is actually up, He can be kited as far as I know to the other site of the map, and often the whole event has been kited out of his cave, onto the filed, all the way to the farm. So make sure you look around when he isnt in his cave.

When you started playing the game you agreed with the user agreement. Part of it is saying that an outage of service like last yesterday doesn’t mean Arenanet has any repsonsibility to compensate you.

Besides that it will be very hard to track what any individual was trying to do at the moment and compensate that.

And to be honest I have read bout much worser losses during the fall out (last boss in Arah path 4 at 25% health).

So don’t expect a compensation, and if they do it will be the same one for everyone online or not. It’s virtual impossible to compensate on an individual level.

A few months ago the list of reserved names has been cleared. So you should be able to claim your names now. If the names are not avialable they are claimed by another user and it will be impossible to force that user to give up the names in question.

So I think support can’t do anything for you, but perhaps I’m missing something and Gaile find something more in the ticket.

Yeah, the reason account issue is that they believe your account is compromised. This can be they suspect you of sharing your account with others, or because they believe your account has been compromised by hackers.

Also keep in midn that yesterday gw2 has been out of service for several hours. So you ticket is prolly in between the big pile of tickets cause of that. Now you got a response your ticket is out of that pile and should be handled quicker.

I’m really sorry to hear you are suspended, you might want to do follow the following steps.
a: Read the login error message. Besides the fact that you are suspended it also gives the reason. e.g. Name violation, bad language, botting, gold selling, etc.

b: if after reading this you are not clear what you did wrong and want clarification or disagree with the suspension you can file a support ticket. https://en.support.guildwars2.com/ (ask a question). I know you are upset, but try to keep it friendly and correct. You catch more fly with honey then with vinegar.

c: if the respond to the ticket takes longer then three days, please post the ticket number in the sticky in this section of the forum.

d: if the respond isn’t what you wanted and support stops talking to you, you can ask an arenanet official here to review te case. Keep in mind that they need the ticket number. They don’t have to grant you the review. Also keep in mind their reaction is in public.

So to make them all even they could use some balancing.

The guesting option is facilitated cause it is a valid option to use and it was being requested a lot. Therefor the mods made merged threads wich are now used for this purpose.

The most important reason is that some items there cantbe find elsewhere in the game and if your world is a high ranking WvWvW server people dont care for it to do it.

Last of all, the fact that so many guest on different servers means the events can actually be done and are done on active PvE servers on a regular base.

Uuuhm, You mean routes to get from mayor town to mayor town?? Cause you can do that by using the asuraportal to lions arch in your home town and from portal isle in lion’S arch to the rest of the world.

Or do you mean for map completion?? I don’t think there is such a thing. I normally go by the edge round and then check what I left in the middle. It isnt too hard to find your way to be honest.

a: I don’t recomend to follow the original order of the game. The leveling arch in the first game is rather steep compared with the other campaigns, and even though they are placed behind eachother in time, they are stand alone campaigns and story’s.

B: As Kisanth said having access to the right skills is important.
This is what I would do (without spoiling) to get the maximum understanding of the lore without making it too complicated for yourself.

1: Make a character in prophecy’s. Press m and you see a small section of the world map. After a very interesting cinematic, when you press m you see the full world map (wich is very simular to that of gw2).

2: Start a new character in factions and start playing the game. When you come to an outpost called the marketplace run your character to kaineng center. just outside you find your first hero. In the town you can get henchman and your first hero to get a quest to get to EoTN and get 3 more heroes. Leave this story alone for now and return to factions.

3: Play through factions the regular way. After a mission you can change your secondary profession giving you the abillity to get proper skills for your heroes and capture elite skills for you and them.

4: After finishing factions you can go to Nightfall (with the same character). Here you will unlock more heroes and you should have more then enough resources to give them proper builds (set of skills and attributes).

5: Now go to prophecy’s. On arrival I advise to go back to the starting town (the one you left your first character) It takes bout 60 minutes to run/fight your way there. You can also hire a professional runner who can take you there in less then 30 minutes. Use the wiki to play through the first missions in the original sequence. After Lion’s arch the story-quest will take it overand you can follow that again.

6: After prophecy’s it is time to finish Eye of the north so fo that.

7: Now there are some smaller parts wich you can play in the following sequence: War in Kryta, Hearts of the North and Winds of change.

8: Last of all you could play through the elite area’s. Sorrow’s Furnace might interest you, and is actually easy.

as being said, gw2 is actually a very good low level friendly game. This has to do with the fact that low leveling area’s are still challenging for high level characters and the good stuff doesnt only happen at max level.

Having said that, they recently openend new content and like you might suspect msot people are checking it out. This area (southsun cove) might prove challenging, but you will be buffed up to level 80. My advise is to go to lion’s arch, and ask in mapchat for a guild that wants to help you. you prolly get several reply’s explain to each of them what you are missing and looking for and your judgement prolly find the perfect guild for you

Yes, but southsun at the time had 4 different overflows (or more), with everyone spread out between them. Making all three groups apear in the same overflow, with people required to leave party, form new party, explaining why it is important etc took us 6 important minutes.

For the guildrush and the guildchallenge it isnt a big deal cause the timer can be started after you did this extra organising, but for the guildbounty I think it should be prevented from happening.

It is an issue that needs fixing. If you didn’t have such a knee jerk reaction you’d have realized that the op was complaining because he can’t find a group to get his/her final quest done. That’s far more prevalent than you might think. I for one have 3 level 80’s in the same boat for the same reason.

Would you please refrain from your tone bout my reaction, that is offensive and would be very happy if you decide to change it. My remark is cause I truly believe that people should be forced more to do things together instead of less. I think rebalancing all storymode dungeons and making it a required part of the personal story would make the game much more interesting.

In GW1 Arenanet really got me angry with the introduction of the hero-system. It truly took out the MMO-concept. The fact that you can play this MMO for 80% solo doesnt mean it should be 100%. The balance is allready of in my opinion. It Is called GUILD wars for a reason. If you have trouble finding a group for it join a guild or start making friends. Personally I never had problems finding a PUG for it.

No, it is clearly an intended change. The way it worked in the beta isnt reflecting the game as it was at release. So whatever their reasons are, it isnt a bug but intended this way.

Well the adventure of having fun and playing guildwars 2 ended pretty fast.

World of Warcraft: 25 USD to move a single character from one realm to another.
Lord of the Rings Online: 25 USD to move a single character from one world to another.

Just to name two.

I’m not sure wich MMO’s you have been playing, but 25 USD (max) to move all your characters is pretty cheap compared to those other MMO’s. Besides that you even get the possibility to do it for free if the price is too steep for you, however that comes with a penalty.

I have a suggestion to make a small change to the bountytarget selection system.
If on start of a bounty or a bounty training the map where a possible target is is in overflow. Then make them temporary unavailable as a possible target. This in order to have the teams on the guild to be all on the same map.

We where unlucky to draw Ander Wildman as a Guild Bounty training target yesterday and it was impossible to coordinate everyone to the same overflowmap of southsun cove and find the target in even 15 minutes (and we are capable of doing the regular tier 1 bounty most of the time, if we fail that we switch to training cause we can use the influence more as a guild at the moment.

It’s the main reason why I don’t link to the ‘argos’ page at all. They have some very usefull and legimate functions both for gw2 and for gw1. The GW2ArmorGallery is a very perfect and legimate tool wich is better then the alternatives. But the software that alters things ingame they offer are all on the edge and actually not ok.

Commandertags are usefull for guildmissions and other guild (or group) activity’s. There is a lot of hate against them and that has mainly to do that it is used by some commanders as the ‘I Am Rich app’ : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Rich

So basicly the asnwer to you question, is almost and there are many grey area’s. The conjure comes with a conjure boost on and a strength between 1h and 2h weapons. besides that, some attributes from the original underlaying weapons are also used as well as some stats from the armor. But e.g. the guardian trait Two-Handed Mastery doesnt work for the conjured weapon skills, even if it is e.g. the fiery greatsword.

In a more practical sense, it doesnt really matter a lot who picks it up, but it does matter a lilttle bit.

a ‘full’ server does changes often. it is the amount of online people who makes it full. best is to try at low times like in the middle of the night.

Also put everything you have that isnt soulbound in the bank (including all money) and spent all your karma on things your new characters can use.

also, the sound effect is still there (even if inactive)

Could you please elaborate more on this bug. I know I’m not camping near that pipe-organ, but in the past few months I’ve been playing it several times. I remember from the early months that it wasnt working, but no problem lately tbh.

Support and Arenanet doesnt interfere in what you could call gaming skills. If you accidently goofed things up they wont be able to replace your loss. If however you are sharing accounts then you are in violation of the user agreement.

First off all you can ask support to have an account reroll. I’m not sure if they can do it in your case but you might wanna ask.

Second I would advise to delete the level 80 and start over. The way to learn the game is by playing it yourself. So dont take advantage of it.

I also have this bug sometimes. It doesnt trigger only when swapping or using a skill, but also out of the blue.

I suspect that it has to do with the measures taken to avoid the teleportation exploit, but that lag is the main cause of the problem.

If the server looses track of you, specially when the client is reporting positions that are too far away from eachother the server forces the client to teleport back to the last known confirmed location. This is a great way to stop the teleportationexploit, but it seems also to be triggered by lag wich makes the biggest problem when falling.

This could be fixed by making the detection of the unauthorized changes of location less depended of distance on the z-axis (height). e.g. every z-axe distances is allowed unless it is further then the amount that would lead to defeat.
