To prevent goldsellers adn other wrong people from making accounts with malicious creditcards (so without paying ) they made some automatic detection system.

Unfortunally it seems to flag rightious people too from time to time. Support has to unflag your card. So make a ticket and talk to them to get this solved.

this is not an account issue but a technical issue. I would advise you to try and reset your internet router/modem.

If this doesn’t help please post in the tech support section of this forum.

To add to all above:
D not expect that this weeks content update will reset your daily counter. This reset thing only happened with the introduction of the new daily reward system. not with the other contentupdates afterwards (even a month later when they made further alterations.

If you could get more then one bonus laurel cause the map keeps crashing, The people who took advantage of it actually where exploiting (Getting the 2th laurel is ok simply cause you couldnt know there was a crashbug, but after that you are deliberatly using a bug wich is considered exploiting.)

Can be confusing with things like S/S……so my advice is to not talk like this because it is something lazy people do!

As for the trait points, at level 11 you will get your first trait point, with the first manual you will be able to allocate a max amount of 10 to any line, meaning that before the next manual at level 40 you can have 3 lines with 10 trait points in them

And when you talk to the trainer you have 3 options :
- buy manual
- reset trait points (to allocate them differently)
- say goodbye (or whatever)

Just one addition. Using a traitbook (beside opening a new line of traits) also resets your traitpoints. so you can redistribute them again.

Gandara is busy as well.
With guesting I’ve seen that the top ranking WvWvW and the low populated servers have somewhat empty orr-maps, but on the high populated PvE servers everything is ok and very active. You can always guest to check out other servers.

You only get one backpack that you can use on only one character.

What you get is a container (like a lootbag from a foe). This container is accountbound. so you can put it in the bank and leave it there till you know wich character you want to get the backpack for.

When you double click it you get two items on that character that are soulbound.
a: a backspine without any stats (for if you don’t have a backitem yet)
b: a backpack skin.
Both are soulbound. So after opening it you can’t change it to a different character anymore.

What you then do is to check if your character has a backitem. If so you apply the skin to the backitem you have allready (need to take it off first you cant do it from your inventory). otherwise you applie it to the statless item.

You can always use a transformationstone to put the skin on a backitem with better stats later on.

I think there is a major difference. I think it was very clear what I ment in the first place but you are blinded by your desire to win an argument in wich you have digged into a position that I’m stating opinions for facts. By quoting me in a more ‘convinient’ way you are acting as if I said things I didn’t say and thats rude, offensive and very childish.

It’s very simple. If quoting, use the quote button’s (or if, like me, you have trouble with multiquoting) use copy paste. The way you did it is considered plain wrong and subjective.

In battle it works the same as with autoattack, if you turned with the right mousebuttonyou attack in that direction. this helps a lot when for example dodging, With this trick you can get your attack facing into the right direction pretty quick

It appears you have found all the areas. Do you have more than one character? If you do, it is possible that you have discovered some area with them instead of the map completing character.

If you only play one character, then you should check all the recent additions to the game. I am sorry that I don’t remember what they are by heart.

The counter on the world map always shows it for you character you are logged in with. The one on the main page shows it for your most complete character.

Revisit the chantry of secrets should do the trick

lvl 33 is a bit low for a dungeon. For storymode dungeon I never accept someone under level 40 (so you have master traitset). For explorable mode I would say level 80 is the norm.

Dungeon’s are very hard. I know that you are downscaled, but having access to perfect stats and all your traits and skills makes a lot of difference. I know I’m not answering your question but I want to prepare you for what in my experience most people say.

I think you mean the way to control your character with the right mouse button.

Best is to practise this technique in town, hit autorun® and try to use the right mousbutton to guide your character.

If you feel you have a decent amount of control then go to a fight.

Yes this still works, the colour of the armor name will be orange, but the the status will say transmutated where it normally say exotic.

As iAsuno said thats the reason you still need to download a significant part.
The only way to bypass it is to kn ow someone in rl that has the game up to date. get a copy of the up to date gw2.dat file from his instalation folder (my computer hddrive (default c) – program files (x86) – Guildwars 2. Copy the gw2.dat file to a usb-stick (formatted as ntfs) (file is over 16GB big, so keep that in mind when choosing the usb-stick to use). At home copy the file to your instalation folder and boot up the game.

As for your crafting problem.
Depending on your crafting discipline you need to make half products (
in case of a weapon it is two weapon component, e.g. a sword blade and a sword hilt and an upgrade component, e.g. a dowel). then you go to the discovery tab and put three matching components in and hit the craft button. Officially you have to experment, but it is often very clear wich combinations work.

For armor it is again two parts of the armorpiece (e.g. a boot sole and a boot upper) and an insignia. Go to the dicoverytab and put three things in and hit craft.

As for your problems with the destroyer….
No matter the profession your playing you need to dodge dodge dodge them. They have very heavy AoE damage and keeping on the move will prevent them from casting it on you.

You might consider switching to a ranged weapon like the bow or the riffle for these kidn of fights.

The sigil of Generosity does the same, it can go on cooldown when you hit the winning number but didnt have a condition on you.

Where purity only removes the condition (being a protective skill) generosity has also an damage effect with the transfer making it a better sigil.

However, I dislike sigil’s that work on change and I hate the lottery. Specially cause you have three lottery’s in one.
a: the change to hit with a critical hit
b: the change to have the sigil effect to be triggered
c: the change that you actually didn’t have a condition to be removed/transfered.

I rather have my conditions removed in a more reliable way and use my sigil for other things

Still there are many variables. Many powerfull skills have a prolonged AoE effect. e.g.:

This skill is doing very good damage, but if a moving foes moves out of your circle it is a lot less.

There is no reason to shout your message every 20-30 seconds or so. A good wating time would be to have 3 minutes between your LFg-messages.

Chat in LA is allready flooding up, and I don’t see any reason to have more flood just cause people keep on spamming the same line.

Something happens on your computer to make it overload when the dragon is at 15-20% of his life. You dont get reward cause with a computer that is shutdown you are not online.

A few things you might want consider to get this solved.

a: you might have a corrupt instalation of the game. Please run the game with the -repair command line argument to repair this:

b: Try turning your settings to low during the dragonfight. There is a lot of action going on and your computer might be overheating.

c: post this in the tech section of the forum (tell them you did the above to things) and see if the people there have any clue.

Do not use AoE on the wurm. Your meteorshower was the reason you and others missed the chest (well and a lot of other AoE’s).

This will very likely be fixed in the next contentupdate (as geekfox pointed out).

During his spawning animation he can ben killed by an overdose of AoE. So it looks like that with your meteorshower you made everyone around miss the reward.

For every bossfight it is important to first get a tag with a ranged skill (number one skill is the best for this imo). You got a tagwhem you see white numbers on your screen.
After you got a tag put as much damage on him as you want. but those white numbers areconfirmation you will get your reward.

It is so easy and cheesy to complain and wine, but look at the good things they have done.

1: After months and months of being bugged, the SB has been spawning for 95% of the time since they made a good fix a few months ago.
2: in those early days, a stuck event could only be reset by a world wide reset of all servers. Nowadays they can reset a single zone.
3: As for billing issues: Yes there has been maintanance yesterday. It was announced and it was resolved in the timelimit. They only unplanned part was that they had to reset the log-in server 2-3 times causing connection losses. This was very speedy resolved.

You are in my personal opinion getting the best. Yes it can be improved. but that can be better be done by also seeing the postives and giving consdtructive feedback. If you don’t think this game is the best compared to others then well feel free to go to others.

I have never said that PvP has nothing to do with lore. I said that I agree with the person I was reacting to that the pvp-content was revolutionary in. The subject here was revolutionary PvP content. And I was stating that has nothing to do with lore. That is something totally different.

Making half and edited notes in a discussion on a public forum is one of the worse and meanest things to do. You can choose, by being treated from no one as a nobody that is on my ignore list or by appoligising for this very rude error you made. You have been putting words in my mouth and twisting and turning them so they look like you can provew a point. There is nothing in the world that can make me more angry and upset.

a: out of the conversation I understand you responded by sending support an email directly.
- Support prefers you to use a support account (different then your game account) and use the online forum to file a ticket. This is actually an extra layer of security. For those having issues with the website or other problems, they have the backdoor to email them directly, but it is less secure.

b: You lost your gamekey and purchase infromation.
- So the most important proofs of that you are the rightfull owner are gone. Support has to be very carefull to verify you are you

c: You are acting impatient and somewhat rude from the second post and onward.

I’m not saying this to bug you, but what I see out of the conversation is that Arenanet is making abokittenly sure that they are not giving an hacker access to your account. I am very happy with that approach.

Second of all I totally understand your frustration.

Support has recently suspended a big bunch of accounts due to an exploit used by a third-party program. From Mike O’Brien’s (president of Arenanet) reaction it was reasonable clear that the people who where doing it must have known what they where doing and that it was wrong. However they did make the mistake of banning innocent people. This was a human error. They reinstated those accounts, but some innocent people where overseen.

Regarding your conversation so far it is clear to me that arenanet has reviewed your situation several times. They can’t give you much more information bout the cause. So it comes down to one question.

I don’t know, but I understand you have tried several times to get support look into it and got nothing further. So I would suggest to use your post here to ask an Arenanet official to review the matter (also known as an appeal). You basicly do so by posting your ticketnumber.

First of all you might want to tell us on wich server you are playing. To have an experienced player to help you all the way is prolly hard to find. I actually have 3 characters thatare round your level, but I also have many other projects running so playing all the time with you is something I can’t do nor can’t help you with.

The best way is to join a friendly and helpfull guild preferably in your case with a lot of personal attention (so not so big you fall away into the masses). Many times medium size guilds have people online that can advise you or jump in to help you a bit further.

First off all, my warrior is low level, but having sseen my own low level warrior and other highlevel warrior’s I strongly believe you shouldn’t have as much issues as you have. So I strongly believe you are doing something wrong. As you are saying you are expierenced from other mmo’s so I believe you know how not to overagro

From my experience as an officer I need to have an inside look in your gear and stats. Can you please post a picture of your hero’s window (the first tab showing your equipment and total stats, and the one showing how you distrubuted your traits). Also make sure your skills are showing and not hiden by the window.

I strongly feel you made some serious error’s when getting your character up and running, these screenshot will tell me or others (hopefully) what these error’s are.

But my start of the post was reacting to a previous post that I quoted and ended with:

I reacted to that person with ‘City a maze, artwork in the city was crapy’ So far as much as that person stated an opinion as afact, so did I. I leveled with the guy, meaning I tried to communicate on his level and in his style to start with.

In that block of text I think it was very clear that It was my opinion and I only started with an opinion as a fact cause the quote ended that way

See it as this, you get an envelope, adressed to you, you open it and it contains a 100 USD bill (or any valua equal to that amount in your country). There is no reason and you dont understand why. This however is only there to tell you what you specially shouldn’t be doing. They don’t need to provide you anything for that they have another rule:

‘Account Suspension and/or Termination for Cause — NCSOFT may suspend and/or delete Your Account for cause (e.g., You breach, violate, or otherwise fail to comply with each and every provision of, this agreement) as well as any other Account ID, Account Display Name, NCSOFT Message Board ID, Character ID, Team, and/or characteristics related to an Account ID. Any suspension and/or termination under this Section 3©, as well as the timing thereof, shall be conclusively determined in the sole and absolute discretion of NCSOFT. This last bit is part of the user agreement. You clicked I agree and therefor you agreed to it. To explain in more normal language. Arenanet has the right to suspend you anytime they want. They dont have to give you any reason and they don’t have to tell you what you did.

If you don’t like it that way go to that other game you like so much.

I know I sound harsh, but I always laugh when people are demanding proof or demanding to have a Arenanet official have a look at things. We all have no rights at all. The fact that you can ask support why you have suspended, that support might tell you, and that anet might listen and react to an appeal is all goodwill from the side of Arenanet. There is no legal ground for demands. You agreed that they can terminate or suspend your account anytime they feel like it. If don’t like it you shouldn’t have agreed. In that case you would have had a refund of your purchase.

3 of 4 of the area’s you are showing had additional waypoints or PoI’s during recent updates.

If you had them on 100% before the updates you don’t have to go back.

The added waypoint in plains of ashford is at the bottom left corner.
In diessa platuea it is a PoI at the left side of the map (on your screenshot under you wayfairer foothils pop-up.
In diassa plateau it is a new area with a PoI to the north of the gate to Diessa platea.

This is my main issue with your whole ‘suggestion’.

You judge your own mistake as a minor offense. This means in my point of view the 3 day ban isnt helping at all and you should have been punished actually more. There is no such thing as a minor offense and as the one who did make the offense you should be the last in the world to say it was minor. You where wrong in the eyes of several people (Anet usually doesnt suspend you over one report, but several) and the GM that reviewed it didnt see it as a minor issue, but one that is big enough to suspend you.

So yes specially after that last thing you said I totally think you deserved a timeout of 3 days, unfortunally I don’t see that you actually understand the message that what you did isn’t tolerated.

So no to muting when its clearly a three day ban isnt enough to let you understand that you did something wrong.

I still see it as an exploit though. To me its like that one exploit where people would endlessly farm the grubs that the Risen Giant’s would spawn.

If they threathen you or your guild with blacklisting then right click their name in chat and report them for verbal abuse. Same goes for name calling. If they offend you by namecalling the also report them for the same reason. They will likely be suspended pretty soon for it.

So you are basicly asking Arenanet to program a new mechanic into the game cause you have trouble restraining yourself from wrong behaviour??

Multiple character slots.
It is obvious you havent played many jumping puzzles. Most of them have PvE elements in them, So a level 2 in e.g. the lowest level puzzle I can think of (Spelunker’s Delve in Calewdon forest) means you need to be able to defend yourself against multiple level 4 baracuda’s and skale’s
Jumping puzzles is PvE content through and through. So if you want to do them you need to do PvE. It is part of the landscape, part of the area and part of fights there.

In most games, the Eastern-contet/continent is like an anime with gigantic swords and talking pandas.

But not in GW. The landscape and architecture was beautiful, the continent had variety and was an awesome place with many many things to do. The Canthan expansion had the most challenging contents for PvE and many many new ones for PvP, so everyone liked it

City a maze, artwork in the city was crapy (except maybe the palace). The only parts I liked where the starter island, the palace, Pongmei Valley and Mount Qinkai. The sea and forest are ok looking but not asian themed and had nothing to do with the campaign imo. It felt to me as if halfway the story they changed their mind and decide, nope we dont want an asian themed campaign lets go gothic vs pirates.

Personally I wouldnt mind if we went there, but I neither expect it to happen or would shred a tear if we don’t.

Some people are allready assuming for certai nthat the next campaign will be either in elona or in Cantha and that GW2 will follow the same evolution as GW1. It’s a totally different game and I would be surprised if we ever go to Cantha.

While I agree that Marnick is advising far more than is needed I wonder what makes you believe the OP has Factions for the Moa Bird or Nightfall to allow heroes? In actuality both campaigns would be required for your suggestion to work, which didn’t sound likely from the post.

If you read my first post you would see that I also gave the OP advise for those situations.

M.O.X. isnt a nightfall hero btw, you get him at level 10 with exotic armor if you own all three campaigns.

Keep in mind that gearing with magic find makes you less effective in fighting. if you change tactics, go more defensive build (wich is often the case with mh/oh sets) and put away more stats, your having better loot, but you get loot slower wich can result in countereffecting what you want.

Also keep in mind that magic find gives you better quality loot, if you actually want to farm white and gray items you are better off using a normal set.

Please don’t reopen closed threads. Support is working on a fix and they have enough reports to see the amount of priority this needs.

A fix like this normally always delivered through a contentupdate wich is once every month round the 26th. So expect a fix somewhere this weekend

It isn’t against the rules to farm during an active event.
They are not exploiting.
They are not forced to complete the event or contribute to completion.

The only thing thats against the EULA might be the threatening. If they are truly threatening they are breaking the code of conduct. But it is a hard allegation. So you might want to explain more how they threaten people.
They can ask to not do it. They can demand you to not do it, thats all ok (unless it is done in faul language). They are not allowed to threaten you with a ban, a report, a hack or things like that. So please explain more what and how they are threathening you and others. It might be the way to get them suspended.

(Do not give names here, the real report has to be done ingame)

Anet doesnt care for things said outside the game (unless on this forum, the official twitterpage or the official facebook page).
They also dont care bout things said in party-chat and guildchat (if you dont like the tone feel free to leave your party or your guild). They dont listen in on things like mumble.

Anet does care bout the things being said in pm’s (if any of the involved people complains and report), local chat and mapchat.
