According to the wiki its a Black Lion chest rare drop. Drop research doesn’t have enough data to give an estimate on the drop rate wich gives me the fear it will be ultra ultra rare.

The highest ranking sPvP-er on FC is rank 126 (if not missing any higher ranking player)
The highest ranking achievement gatherer is rank 115 (if not missing any higher ranking player).
In WvW your server is almost last.

Conclusion: Try guest to another server and see how it goes there.

Having read all that there is to say I truly think the problem exists cause you breached the user agreement when you started playing your (used) friends account. This was then resolved in a time the idea of gw2 not even existed. This game is much more popular and there are much more RTM-criminals trying to hack accounts. This is led to a tighter security when it comes to account ownership.

I know it sounds morale wrong to new be punished for a mistake you made many years ago, but also understand they are doing it to prevent future problems. The account was compromised a long time ago and it was your own fault (the user agreement has always stated that you are not allowed to give away your account or accept a new account. By deleting the link between the compromised GW1 account and your valid GW2 account, Arenanet is making sure you are problem free in gw2.

I know the feeling that it might feel as wrong, but I do think your the victum of circumstances. Due to the mistake you made many years ago you don’t have any rights to claim your gw1 account and I trully believe that any efforts you put into trying will be futile.

In the end the solution provided by Gaile is a good one making sure you are not disputed anymore and making sure you can play and enjoy GuildWars 2 without ever having to be afraid of your mistake years ago. Your record is clean from now on. That should count for something.

No offense to you personally but why are people asking for class advise always asking for the wonder profession that is everything. If there was a class thats good at all the things you want then everyone was playing it. In the end the classes are reasonable balanced and it depends a bit what you want to do. If you want to farm tokens in a zerg you might prefer Ele. Despite what people are saying an ele can be build really sturn and protective, while still doing huge damage. Without the possibility to hide in a zerg you might get into trouble easy. Off course mesmer is a very good alternative.

Also keep in mint that every good player knows when and how to switch to close combat. there is no real exclusivly ranged profession cause warriors, thiefs and guardians will jumpclose to you anyhow.

This is just one of the 5 dialogues related to the moment you choose. It indeed does go quick if you skip cinematics or don’t read. But I think that Eir makes it perfectly clear (as does Zoja, Logan, Rytlock and Caithe) that this is a permanent decission.

Also the dialogue when you make the pick is very clear asking for verification if thats whatyou want and telling you cant go back.

Arenanet can’t refund anything ingame so you wont get your laurel.
I also doubt this is a bug but more an anomaly tight to the way the daily works. The daily reward is accountbound but cause it is an item it has to be registered on a character. Whenever you change character the game checks if other characters have the daily reward chest and transfers it to the new one thats active. However if you delete the character the game won’t recognise it.

Next time I would advise to first get your reward.

But don’t be fooled by the tinfoil hat conspiracy agency. There’s nothing out there. The random number generator is absolutly random everytime. You don’t get life the universe and everything when you roll 42, eating 2 pounds of bacon everyday doesn’t please the generator and area 51 is just a base for testing new airplanes.

Actually it can take support up to 72 hours max. However in most common situations they react a lot quicker (within a day). The 72 hours is how long it can take them to handle things when it is really difficult (wich this isn’t unfortunally for them it is routine).

Assuming she is indeed hacked and assuming the worse this is the process.
a: file a ticket to report this and ask assistence getting access to your account back.
b: log in and check the status of your account.
c: If there is anything wrong (deleted characters, moved to different server, missing items, etc)then reply to the allready existing ticket with a request for an account restoration.

Keep in mind these restoration are only done when the account really was compromised. This restoration means your account is restored to a previous snapshot. This means your girlfriend might loose things she got on her own as well.

For now all you can do is wait. If she has access to things like a guildbank you might want to notify an officer or guildleader to temporary restrict her access.

Yeah, gathering all plants and just killing mobs is the way to farm, there arent no hotspots to farm these afaik.

Guildchat, online/offline status, pm system , friendlists uses indeed a different router (specially if you are in Europe.

These things are located on the login-server wich is global (cross server) and is in the united states. The game servers (hosting the actual maps, keeping track of the avatars, running events and hosting map chat, local chat and party chat) are either located in the states for NA servers and in Europe (Germany) for EU servers. So this is a routing issue.

Nope, Arenanet representitives have said several times they don’t have the time nor the resources to approve any macro or software.

Using any macro is at your own risk and unsupported. The posted link is what the internal policy is for allowing and not allowing third party software. It means that you are ok to use this but it doesnt give you the right to use this nor will support tell you it is ok. You always do so on your own risk.

When you get suspended the error message when logging in wil tell you the reason. The filter is no excuse to use faul language or to offend someone. It’s like saying ’I’m allowed to ram that other car cause I know that model has airbags’

I’m an officer in a guild where we don’t allow faul language in the guildchat. If someone breaches that rule I need to give out warning or take disciplinairy actions and I need to make a report to the guildleader. The only way to do that is having the filter off.

Thisd isn’t an issue that NEEDS fixing and I’m very happy with Anet making temporary content. This has been discussed over and over and over. Bottom line is that this is an MMO. In other words it is ment to be played together. So you might want to join a guild. use some social skills to get them to know you and you to know them and then ask for their help.

Yip after building the Guild Bounties unlock you can build a guildbounty. My guild has on average 4 bounties ready to activate and 2 guild bounty training missions. We aren’t a big guild so we sometimes fail the bounty. So its good to always be able to start a new one.

Keep in mind that the guildbounties are the only guildmission that can be unlocked without using merits. Cause guildmissions are the only way of getting merits the bounties are the only thing you can start with.

The radationfield used by the rune is different then the skill radiation field. The wiki just links there to give you an impression what it does cause the exact stats are unknown. Runes and Rune effects are never part of a combo.

This is not really a bug but an end of world glitch. Beneath every map is a giant sea/lake as a filler. It is how the game is designed and somehow you glitched to an out of map place ending up in this sea

First off all Brie is a woman.
Second off all, just checking if you know the mechanics of the fight. One person has to talk to the terminal, go in and attack her (solo). The rest kills the adds outside.. When the terminal effect wears off switch. When she reaches 50% everyone can go in and finish her off.

It is very to run from boral station to Eye of the north.
First part contains some wurms, you can kill them but they are actually harmless. So run till you are at the first resurection shrine. The second part contains a few small groups of enemy’s you might want to watch out for the avalanche, for the rest theyt are as well easy. From there run to the second resssurection shrine. there are two patrols ahead wich can be avoided easily. When approaching the Eye itself you get a cutscene and your in.

Still the answer is the same. The classes are very well balanced. If it wasn’t there would be one people where playing and the rest where totally neglected (specially with lack of the classic trinity rules: melee, dps, healer).

The difference between classes are in playstyle. Do you like to summon? Do you like a nuker thats squishy? Do you like to have a pet? Do you like using conditions?

There is no best ranged proffesion.

Ok to explain a bit more. The guardian has indeed a lack of ranged damage. This doesnt make it bad at range cause Guardian is mainly a supportive class that happen to be able to do great damage up close. The ranged weapons are more for support.

All other classes are good at ranged but all with specifick specialisations.

But I dont suspect anyone will bate. Working the TP means that you need to buy items low and seel them high. Although there is good profit in there, one could argue that it is morally wrong to use someone elses stupidity, but lets not be a moralist. The entire way of doing this is by having some unique ways of doing it and that means people who found a good item keep that for themselfes…

The way to do this is to file a support ticket at https://en.support.guildwars2.com/ (ask a question). But to give you a small warning of the likely outcome:

In the user agreement you agreed to not share your account with others. So having a family member log in to you account means that you have shared it with others and where in violation of the rules. Therefor Arenanet has no reason to give you back your items. They have the right to actually terminate your account, but it is very unlikely they do it in this situation and let your loss be your warning to make sure your brother is not accessing your account.

The request your making is n accoutn roll back. This means your account is rolled back to a previous state. This is only granted when your account gets compromised (an hacker gets access).

I’m really sorry for your loss. If you or your brothers are minor’s you could turn to your parents to complain bout your brothers behaviour. If your an adult it is your responsabillity to understand who you can trust or not. Apperantly your brother can’t be trusted

I don’t think that gear is the problem but playstyle.

A: Don’t use staff when playing solo.
The staff is an AoE weapon and in those story’s you fight e.g. 7 enemy’s at the same time. With a staff they all stay alive, and a foe with 2% health deals the same amount fo damage as a foe with 100% health so the damage recieved stays high during the entire battle. With a different weaponset you can take out the enemy’s on by one, reducing the damage recieved more quickly and making it easier.

A staff is nice in a team or in the open world when doing events, but not in the story instances when doing them solo. I discovered that on my ele at bout the same level (mine is sylvari).

As for alternate weapons lets go through the options.
Scepter-Focus: Very defensive. I would only recommend this for end game and with specialised builds.
Dagger-Dagger: Very offensive. not very forgiving if you make a mistake. But if you don’t make them then this is your best bet.
Scepter-Dagger: In the middle between offensive and defensive. For a beginning Ele I would recommend this. Keep in mind you might need to unlock skills first for your new weapons.

B: Understand your attunements and how and when to use them.
-Fire- High damage both direct and AoE, lots of burning condition, no self defense. Good for damage bursts.
- Earth – Good damage, knockdowns and armor increase. Good if you want to be more defensive.
- Air – Okayish damage combined with speedboost and blinds. good for running (away) and kiting.
- Water – Loosy damage, but good for slowing enemy’s and healing.

Switch attunements during fights and use them well is a big benefit.

C: Keep moving always!! The biggest mistake you can make as an ele is standing still. With dodging and moving around you can avoid up to 90% of the damage.

Storage space. A guildbank has 50 slots and costs 5 gold (if buying the inlfuence required).
An extra banktab costs you 600 gems for 25 slots. at the current currency exchange rate that would cost you bout 18 gold.

First of all I highly doubt you’ll get banned for this. The GM will ban you for things in ingame logs. That log is saying you didn’t ask for the berry ingame but got it sent by a complete stranger. Even if you get banned, explaining the situation during the review should be enough to get you off.

Unfortunally there is nothing Arenanet can do to stop this. This is clearly a form of cyber bullying. You might want to report this incident through the feedback function on gw2lfg.com. They might be able to block the person doing this from their site.

Keep in mind that that other MMO’s you’ve played has monthly fees and therefore a more extended level of support. The supportlevel is rather good still, just lesser and slower.

2 Hours would be a worst case scenario. In a somewhat decent group, or with people who have done it before, you should be able to do it in ~1 hour.

Getting mad at someone is allowed unless! it is expressed in a rude way. In those cases just report and wait till they get banned. There is no need to change this. If people are breaking your game in the way they act just report them. They are wrong, they know they are wrong so let the system work

It doesn’t have to be of the same color. So you can transmutate a blue skin to yellow stats.

The end result will be coloured yellow, but will say in the description that it is transmutated.

To transmutate something that is of required level 80 you need a transmutation Crystal wich are a lot rarer.

Basicly what a transmuation stone does is take the skin of one item and the stats of another item (and the upgrade like the signet can be of either one) and get them combined on one new weapon.

There are many reports of people who got this kind of emails. Also people who have never played GW2. I also got several of those mails from a game called World of Warcraft wich I have never played. They got your mailadres the same way a spammer gets your mailadres.

The new password rules are made because a lot of people got hacked. They are also made because Arenanet studied the passwords used of accounts that got hacked and they saw simularity’s. The reason you password isn’t accepted is cause it is unsafe and Arenanet is trying to protect you.

May I ask you a personal question? Why do you want a password you can remember My password is written down on a piece of paper, taped to my desktop in my home. Granted, I live alone, but the computer is in my living room and I do get visitors. But somehow I never had any fear that a visitor in my home has any interest in my GW2 account. Those people live mostly far away and are definitly not my friends.

I would suggest to not use the Toilet to get your precursor. Farm world event’s for ecto’s and who knows you get lucky and get a precursor. combine it with money grinding and you should have enough to buy a precursor. The price of most precursor’s is bout the price of things you need to put into the toilet. You can always gamble on getting lucky, but there is not aftermarth. Farming world boss events is a good way of getting ecto’s wich you also need a lot, so its worth the gamble.

I’m farming money, tier 6 materials and the other crafting materials, karma and skillpoints. The precursor, lodestones and ofc the runestone I’ll buy

I recognised your name and went through your earlier posts. I see you left several times and came back to GW2, but everytime you start asking the same questions. I would strongly suggest to just start playing the game and enjoying it.

No matter what we are saying, there is no golden combo that makes you hit a button and win, so I am going to suggest to play the game and start by playing and mastering PvE.

We can’t tell you why you die so easily besides that your doing something wrong. This can be stats, this can be playstyle, or it can be a lack of experience.

Also understand that a level 15 guardian is upgrade to level 80 in WvW as in a translation of stats but that doesnt make you equal to level 80. You are missing most of your traits and many skills yet.
e.g.: Elite skill (level 30) These elite skills give you a big advantage in fights.
Master and grandmaster traits (level 40 and 60).

Although the stats on your armor are boosted as if for level 80, you can’t have better then green armor and weapons at the moment. The stats on rare and exotic armor are a lot higher at level 80, so that again is a disadvantage.

Bottom line. Stop asking for a way to glory, but start playing the game in PvE and making a character to level 80. It’s ok you try a bit of WvW, but keep in mind it is for the pro’s and your not a pro (yet).

There are 50 story-instances. Each instance takes on average bout 20 minutes (some longer, some smaller). So thats bout 17 hours work.

I understand this bug is annoying, but please don’t start new threads bout it when their are allready 4 roaming around i nthe first 2 pages of this section of the forum.

The same is with 2h weapons and with all races. This is done to prevent clipping issues. but every race has that gap when you strip armor away.

Is it legal to play GW2 on a campus network? (no matter if tunneling is used, thats got little to nothing to do with it): Yes its perfectly legal.

You are however sharing an IP-adres with a lot of people. This means that Arenanet can ban all accounts using that IP-adress. In most situations it’s enough to file a support ticket explaining the situation to get the ban lifted.

In some extreme situations (not being able to stop the bad guys without harming good guys) Arenanet might decide to block the entire IP-adres.

Personally I wouldnt worry too much. There was a time those networks where seen as a free haven for hackers, crackers, and other internet criminals. Nowadays the admins are trying hard to keep their network clean and those situations are often dealed with ‘internally’. I bet a lot of people are playing from campus connections.

The normal way to get a password reset is that support first asks for user name, product key and order ID. If the customer can give the info a password change is granted. If they dont be able to, they get a load of other questions.

So your making the wrong assumption that the person suplied the user name, product key and order ID. He had not. Otherwise they had your password now.

See it as this. A burglar tried to get into your home, but couldn’t break your security. The system worked perfectly. I know it’s scary, but somehow they keep trying -snif-

First off all, this is not a bug. The nodes are designed to spawn randomly over the map ,and change position once in a while. The simple fact that we nailed the system behind and can predict that at server reset the nodes are being replaced, doesnt mean that it should work like that always.

I think there is a logical reason behind it though that has nothing to do with at bug.

The nodes are placed on the map when the map is created. A map is created when it is empty and a player enters it. This happens garanteed when there is an update (cause all players are being kicked) but also e.g. in the middle of the night or when the software hosting the specifick map crashes (and kicks everyone present).

Not sure but it could explain whats happening. The thing is that you should look and find your gathering nodes (atleast thats how the game is ment to be played, even when nobody does it that way).

It slowly died after the first months. Most people have leveled up several alts to level 80. There are still enough people leveling alts and playing those maps, but not enough to get the zerg’s going again. Personally I don’t miss them either. Leveling is easy as it is.

As the suggestion is is perfectly ok by me as long as it is a recurring charge and higher then proposed.
In GW1 there was a (permanent and free) hero system that in my personal opinion ruined the mmo-aspect of the game. Heroes where free to use, almost as equal to the real players and could do almost anything. I dont want that back in GW2.

My suggestion would be to make it timed and a tp item. 100 gems for a kit that lasts 1 hour. you can choose from 8 different kits (e.g. a necromancer kit, an ele kit, an warrior kit, etc).

The kit let’s you summon a companion npc for 60 minutes wich replaces one partymember. the companion is stowed manually by the owner or when the owner maps to a different place. If the companion has been out for e.g. 12 minutes, the kit will still be usuable but for max 48 minutes.

It happens sometimes that someone kites the creature to a place outside of the event where the event circle doesn’t move with it.

Ihave witnessed this can be done alone, but it is challenging. It should be marked as a group event in my opinion.

I do remember it. On the wiki it was marked as historical but it has been deleted. The talkpage has a comment bout it: ’This event was witnessed on April 20th 2013 and is not removed from the game, it is just very rare.

So it is still happening from time to time, just not very often. This might be cause it’s easily gets bugged or have very rare occassions to trigger it (e.g. a fail of a very easy event somewhere near)
