He’s knew it a bugged but keep doing it then it consider an exploiting act, also his action effecting majority of other players at the event as well. I saw players asked him stop bugging the Instigator in nice way as first but his response like an idiot with fury of rage and calling others “moron”.
Like I said, faul language in chat isn’t allowed, report that in game but dont fight over i. Don’t make a fight in mapchat roll over to here. give it a break!
Second in my opinion it isn’t an exploit at all only a bug. demanding a necromancer with staff to stop putting down marks is the same as demanding a mesmer to stop making clones.

After a powerdown your internet modem resets and often gets a new IP-adress wich indeed has to be activated.
If the instructions aren’t helping please ask support for help https://en.support.guildwars2.com/ (ask a question) and they help you back into the game as soon as possible. To make sure you udnerstand what to do:
a: Try to log in
b: get the message you have to authenticate the ip adres
c: wait for the mail and open it
d: click the link in that email
e: authenticate the ip adress
f: you should be able to logt in now
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
When you started playing the game you have agreed with the user agreement. This agreement was that you agreed to not use faul language in the game. Making you agree to that should be enough warning.
I strongly suggest that you use these seven days to contemplate on your behaviour and what it means to play an online game with other people. You are not banned for saying word f or g. You are banned cause you upset and griefed your fellow players. That is the reason that you are removed.
Normally a first time offender gets 3 days suspension. Being suspended for 7 days means you allready had a 3 days suspension once and didn’t learn or that it was so utterly bad that the dev went straight away to 7 days.
As for all the things you are missing in those 7 days. There is a serious condition called gaming addiction. Important sings are:
- not being able to do without it
- taking things to serious in games
- overreacting to things happening in game
- getting too attached
You are showing all these signs so maybe get some help.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
as stated in another thread, this might be a bug but is not an exploit as marks are an essential element of a staff necromancer and placing them pre-battle is considered to be a normalway of playing the game as a necromancer.
If people treat you badly in chat then rightclick report them. They are violating several rules in the code of conduct.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
You are playing your class at supposed to be. This might be a bug, but not an exploit.
Iff people are accusing you of exploit or using faul language or swearing against you theyi are the wrong people. Right click their name and REPORT them. Pretty soon they will have a suspension (firts time offenders mostly get 72 hours). For the rest ignore them and keep playing the game as you enjoy it.

The current wvwvw maps are great. I would be interesting, though, to have two new maps. One for the eternal battlegrounds and one for the borderlands. (Or maybe just for the eternals for starters.) The map could change every month or so.
The flavor of the map could be different by using another tileset. The supply posts, the castle, the mercenaries and so on could be rearranged to allow for different tactics.
The change of the map could even be explained with the lore since all of this takes place in the mists where different sets of rules apply.
I totally understand where you are coming from. WvWvW gets a bit boring cause its only 2 map designs. However adding new maps makes it even harder to get the map completion reward.
My suggestion would be to change two of the borderlands. Keep the basic lay-out but change the style. So one of them could be in Orrian style. One of them in maguuma jungle style, etc.

afaik the sources are independent. So on the same crit you can steal life twice if both the pie and the sigil are triggered and cooldowns are per source and not shared.

Guesting is an option in the character select screen (under world selection). You will load your character on a different world (server). There are a few restrictions while guesting. You can’t participate in World versus World matched for the world you guesting on. This to prevent match fixing.
PvP is permitted on every world in designated area’s. There is no such thing as duelling in the regular open world. There are basicly two pvp formats.
sPvP (structured PvP). All players on entry in the staging area are given access to all stats, weapons, skills and armorsettings. This means a level 2 character thats got created 1 minute ago can be as good as a level 80 character that has been around since launch. You fight on skill only in special arena’s where you score points by killing players from the enemy team or by doing certain tasks like capturing the flag or getting enemy defenses down.
WvW (or World versus World versus World): In 4 big maps 3 worlds battle eachother. Again besides killing enemy players you get points for capturing and defending keeps. The keeps have many defenses and beside fighting enemy players you also fight the envirement. So this is a PvP/PvE hybrid. If you ar enot level 80 your promoted to level 80. However your unlocked skills, traits are not opened up. So you will be handicapped.
There are worlds more active in WvWvW. You can always check the leaderboards here to see wich worlds are really good at them.
A guild is a guild just like it is in e.g. WoW. Many asume that the term guildwars have to do with player guilds. This is a misconception. It has to do with a pre-game war (before Guildwars 1) where the humans of the world where gathered in NPC-guilds and those guilds where in a constant war with eachother. So it is a lore thing.
Besides being a community with a designated online list and a chat-channel guilds can provide members with services. These services can be bought with influence and later on with merits. This influence is gained when you play the game as a representing member. The service can range from a guildbank to share resources, to special boosts to e.g. get more experience, but also special guild activity’s like tracking down and killing 2 or more bosses somewhere in the world in a short amount of time.
The most special feature is that you can join more then one guild. However to be able to use any of the services (guildchat, participate in guild activity’s having access to the guildbank) you need to represent. Represent means you get the guildtag behind your name. You can change the guild your representing as much as you want (though some guilds expect you to represent them all the time).
As for a good US server. I don’t know cause im in Europe. I know that tarnished coast is mostly a RP-world and I know that Sea’s of Sorrow’s has a high concentration of oceanic players.

Just saw this site: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/
So It isn’t telling a lot bout the continuation of the living story. it is an announcement that more info will be announced on june 4 combined with a sign that I read as forbidden for dragons.
This is a nice teaser in my opinion. I don’t really beleve that dragons are to be stopped by such a sign, but it is a (possible) sign that the attention is gearing in the direction of the elder dragons.
Any thoughts and comments bout this teaser??

I’d love to rename my guild, because the comic effect of the name at the time is gone since my friends don’t play any more.
Even though it is simple, I know from GW1 and other MMO’s that it has been requested many times but never made possible. However there is a simple solution: remake the guild
Problem is, since GW2 uses a sort of guild currency (influence), you’ll lose all your upgrades since you also need to delete the guild to make a new one. For example, my guild has spent over 30k influence, and that was gained over a year, it would be a pain/grind to get it all back. that by itself is 60G not counting all the stuff my guild has used in the meantime.
Gw1 had also major investments in guildhalls. To have a full guildhall you had to pay over 500 platinum. This was a lot. But they never implemented a system to rename.

All rdy reported this problem on in game ticket, Right after the update I keep getting kick out of the game about every 2 min with error message about client lost . was wondering how many ppl out there have been having the same problem?
P.S.
I know for a fact is a game issue instead of having a pc or internet issue b.c I have a swort and wow account and can play for hrs and not have any client lost messege but with GW2 I get it every 2-10 min none stop
This is not an account issue and I advise you to post in the technical support forum.
If you suspect its an issue with the client. Please feel free to uninstall and redownload.
Do not asume its not an internet problem just cause other games play fine. Your internet provider is responsable for the route a certain data stream takes over the internet. If they relay the signal to e.g. WoW over a super speed highway and the signal to GW2 is routed over a steam-powered modem in Syberia, it is them that should solve it. But again. Asking the technical guys for help in the tehc support section is the best change you have.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Best thing to do is file a support ticket at https://en.support.guildwars2.com/ (ask a question)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Don’t assume that I submitted tickets without responses. My tickets did have responses, but none helped with the root problem. Somehow it’s fixed now and all is well.
Nobody is assuming that. But even a ticket with a response can be updated. The only way you get stuck is when the support agent is saying. ‘We can’t help you and any reply you give us will be ignored’ (or something among those lines). then (if you disagree with that) you can ask an arenanet official to review the case.
The normal flow of a ticket like yours goes like this (worse case):
1: you submit
2: a few minutes later you get: do you mean this or that (automated response)
3: You reply no that didn’t help
4: few hours later a real person answers you with another option not listed under 2
5: you answer again that it didn’t help
This is where it often goes wrong. From a customer point of view you are really annoyed by the auto-answers. From a support point of view most answers like yours are being answered by now. yours sadly is not and now the real support process start witch take more time but is more intelligent.
Now after 5 please wait. you will very likely get a decent answer (as it is solved now for you).
Cause most questions are being solved wit the first 4 steps I summoned, by opening multiple tickets your only repeating those steps. putting even more restraint on the support team and cluttering up the system, keeping them away from real issues (like yours).
In other words. Areanet has committed themself to solve all tickets within 72 hours. If it is very difficult they get back to you explaining why they need more time. If after 72 hours you don’t have a solution nor a good reply why it takes longer there is something wrong. Please post the ticket number in the designated sticky in this section of the forum.
Posting multiple tickets means you aren’t helping yourself and your not helping others in queue. You will get an answer. if you don’t let Arenanet know in the designated sticky and they will correct themselves.

Hmmmm I’m looking at you post history and found this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/If-Ascended-stays-Make-WvW-use-pvp-gear
I know I’m the kind of person that like you can high heel into a discussions. to be really confroning. sometimes I do but most of the time I try to show compassion and understanding to the other person’s point of view. In the thread the Op has expressed his concerns bout an issue he is worried bout. I think with you he is wrong with his fears and it is months ago and with hindsight it is right.
But at that moment the OP had genuine fears bout a recent change. Maybe show some compassion. Many time a line like ‘I know where your coming from but I….’ sounds a lot different then ’ you are wrong cause…..’
Both are saying the same thing. There is a term called giving constructive feedback. You can say: ‘Your are wrong and im going to show you how wrong you are’ or you can say ’ you have some interesting opinions but I dont fully agree with your reasoning cause….’
So when posting try to feel as the person on the other side a bit more and I think you will do great. Good luck!!
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Hmmmm, the first counter question I would ask is why did you leave??
Without knowing the answer I assume you had some trouble keeping up or got bored??
If you got bored and if your not planning to stick around pick the class you think is the hardest and challenge yourself to master it.
If you had trouble keeping up pick a very easy class to pass the time and feel more succesfull.
Rangers always rely on the pets (though control over them in dungeons is important).
Necro-minions are great cannon-folder but you cant control them at all.
Best example is again a dungeon. A necro was using the Summon Blood Fiend as healing skill in a dungeon. The healing of this minion is very good, but your trusting your health into a npc that is programmed and might very likely do what you wouldnt do.
Do your not interested in dungeons I’m showing the major problem with minions. After they got summoned you dont have control over them. You can make them explode or use 1 skill but mostly they go their own way. necromancers can be awesome but not just as minion masters.
Considering your goal (bridging the time to a new game) My first reaction would be ranger. But I’m stuborn andhope I might susprise you. Try the guardian. No solid reason at all, just reading your post I have a feeling you will love it and maybe even forget about those other games.
(to take it more solid in what im saying, both a minion master and a beastmaster like to be in control. a good guardian can lead the party and be vital for the suvivability of the party, so without being disrespectfull you get the best kind of minions you can support: real people!! they are truly much much better then programmed NPC’s and if yoe get good enough to earn their trust they might follow you to the end of the earth
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Like I said it truly depends on the level. The thief shows its potential really soon. It is easier to level in my opinion then a mesmer. The mesmer however is blossoming late on the track but does that then big time.
The thief and the mesmer are bout the same on survivability. The thief has higher (medium) armor but for the high damage has to go close where they hit the hardest. The mesmer has very low armor, but can stay ranged and has a good cc to take damage away.
The cc for a mesmer even works in PvP and WvW (wich is a hybrid between PvP and PvE). it is for a human enemy’s not possible to detect a mesmer clone from the real mesmer. The only way to do it is to understand that clones are npc’s and recognise the difference in way of moving and reacting. The bets PvP mesmers can mimic an npc perfectly to fool you endlesly.
The thief uses stealth as its main weapon to sneak up on you unnoticed, strike quick and hard and then retreat in stealt.
In the end, the mesmer is better in survivability and the thief is better in killing the enemy. Both are difficult to master but can be lethal if done right.
Final advise: Get playing and see for yourself :P
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Why do you ask this?? We don’t have more information then you and we don’t have a crystal ball to see the future.
From my point of view they can go three ways:
a: Never touch the world outside of the map of tyria (the continent) and concentrate on the elder dragons and go to GW3 when they are done in a year or 7.
b: go to the unexplored parts of the world cause besides Tyria (continent), Cantha and Elona there is so much more. This can be during the dragon’s story and afterwards
c: incorparate e.g. Palawa Joko in the main theme thats allready building up. Palawa blocked the path of elona river to go through what we knew as the crystaldesert. The river now actually floods into the sea where fort trinity is. Both Palawa and the Zhaitan used undead. On the northern shores of the new river Elona is the suspected location of Kalkatorix. So there is a lot of potential for Palawa to enter the story, but then again, they can go the other way and ignore it.
Personally I have a feeling we know more bout the next move within weeks or even days… but I can be totally wrong here

The biggest problem with grenth is indeed the lack of communication or more important the lack of understanding. The fight is heavy specially at the end but despite culling if you have enough people to cause culling and if everyone understand the role they are playing it ís normally ok. Melee should stay close to the npc and go mid ranged if needed for health. Midranged should stay midranged or go longranged when needed cause of health. long ranged should go long ranged or go out of range (all the way to the back) if they have a problem with health.
If you stepped back cause you had some health problems, help the ones (that are downed) there to get up. running there is a long way.
a dead player isnt helping. You dont really have time to waypoint and run back. so it is essential you keep in the running. If people better understand when to step back and save themselfes and if they would help more to get downed people up you would have a constant flow in all zones to keep control. The reality is that the area is covered with dead people who don’t go to the WP in fear of loosing the reward but do count for the scaling.
Culling shouldn’t be a problem if not half or more of the people are on their back

hmmmmm, bitfrost is white with rainbows.
I would say you want this special prize to stand out. The first rule of fashion is to make a contrast. You prolly want the staff to shine, so the logical colour would be black
But!!! that would hurt the eyes too much and makes you a posher imo. Bitfrost is also very fresh and modern looking (with a classic touch). So try a dark formal tint.
without knowing your skincolour and hair colour and face expression I would say something like:
Evening red, Royal purple, starry night or emerald dye. Off course use this as the main dye theme for the big parts and variate for the details.

@OP
This mayhem you can expect with the friendly GW2 community. we disagree all the time and thats cause the game is this good. The game doesnt have a class thats standing out to the others. All are very good balanced in my opinion.
There are some classes that are easy to master, but hard to excell. There are some that are hard to master but if you do your the best. The last is an in between category. I’ll explain why per class.
Warrior: heavy armor, high damage. is very easy to play specially if your used to be melee. but in the end game you are just a melee dps that can handle themself. good but not much more (in general there are some very good warriors)
Ranger: medium armor, Good damage when ranged and good CC. Like the warrior you can handle yourself with ease but you find yourself just okayish at the end.
Thief (medium armor): The assasin or ninja. Though good at range, best at melee range. but keep in mind hit and run. If your ok with the style you can do great things both on damage and in support. But in a game that is allready a lot bout dodging and surviving itmight be too much.
Necromancer (light armor): Great at conditions and using minions for CC. There is not much more to tell. If you like that they can be awesome. If you find the perfect combo you are really good, but in my opinion a bit old school and boring. But thats me.
Mesmer (light armor): in character the same as the necromance, but harder to master. The use of clones and misleading makes it very difficult for the enemy to defeat you, but it is also very disorientating. They lack a lot of power at lower level wich is unlocked with grandmaster traits at level 60. This makes them challenging to master but if you get them to the end they are very fun.
Guardian (heavy armor): By many considered to be a minor version as the warrior at first glance. but the ability to support makes it the best healer in a game that doesnt have healers. The fact that they are heavy armor and prefer melee range makes it a very interesting profession with many layers and very versatile
Ele(mentalist) ( light armor) and incredible squishy. It is hard to master or even stay alive at first. Most survivabillity has to come from traits and skills. But the amount of damage is huge and if you get one to the end and get it geared up it is awesome. The problem is getting there.
Engineer (medium armor): I call them the special op’s. They are actually easy at the start but hit the tricky part at bout level 40. The reason is that they can do almost anything but you need to use kits to do so. Each kit is totally different from the other and you have to learn them all to excell. Bascily this is 6 classes in one. If you got it right in the end you are awesome but its hard to get there.
You said your an ex-wow player. Welcome. Keep in mind this game is designed to be different then any other mmo. WoW set the standard for most MMO’s so you might be bewildered at first cause it is so different. good luck and if you want to know more just ask.

Well what all does guesting entail? If I get all the regular benefits from having a character on TC, besides the World versus World stuff, then that’s fine.
And nope I am an NA-EC player, but at this point I might just make a character on the Piken Square.
It’s really annoying to me that they would lock out a server like this, I mean it doesn’t even seem like I can do a pain transfer there :c.
Guesting means you can’t enter World versus World and you don’t have access to guildbonusses like +15% magic find for 24 hours. You can participate in guildmissions and get the reward, but you can’t initiate them.
This all are minor disadvantages in my opinion. The biggest disadvantage is that everytime when you go through the character selection screen (starting the game, changing character, rebooting, etc) you have to click world selection, select the right world, click guest and say that you are sure. This can get really annoying in the longterm.
If you want to go that way and want to pay for it, get a gemcard for 2000 gems. go guesting and keep watching moments you can do a world transfer. if the moment is there, quickly redeem the gemcard and do the transfer.
You can always save up the gems. But as a frequent guester I know I have been happy many times I didn’t have (enough) gems on my account when i was guesting cause the world transfer button is right next to the guesting button.

Hey Andrea, I keep bumping into you :P . You can always make a suggestion. It seems that Arenanet is learning a lil bit as the southsun cove backpack (atleast the flower) is accountbound and stays that way when you equip it. I think the original idea was to prevent people from changing them between characters that need it at the moment. It depends a lot if you can get the wintersday and halloween bag’s again this year during the events.
But feel free to make a suggestion :P
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Go to this website, search for X legendary, and get the value of it in gold. Then, multiply that number by 0.52, which is the current conversion rate between gold and US dollars. Now you know the value of a legendary in RL US dollars.
For instance, Twilight right now would cost $1008 to buy outright from the gem store.
I wonder how the gold farmers and bots can sell them so much cheaper…that blows my mind that there is still even an active farming operation going on in this game, much less it’s cheaper than Anet’s prices.
Stay in school kids, and only buy from Anet.
1: RMT websites often don’t deliver or deliver and hack you a few hours later to take it back. They also get a lot of stuff for free through the accounts they hack for the bots they are using. So basically they can create it cheap through thievery.
2: The value of a weapon that is farmed is a lot less. If you farm all the materials, make your own precursor and do all the actual work you only have to pay 120 gold.
So yeah, if you value your account don’t use RMT website (goldsellers). RMT-ers are highly organised cyber criminals. If you don’t get screwed by them, then very likely Arenanet founds out and bans you anyways.

1: Remove the listing fee of 5%
2: Raise the tax to 15%
3: Add a penalty to the removal option of 5%. If you want to take an item your selling off the market you have to pay 5% of the price you where asking.Im sorry, i read that wrong
. it was at work… and on my mobile… on a really dark screen.. and i was really stressed… i thought you typed "add a penalty to teh removal option of 5%, if you want to take an item your BUYING off the market, you have to pay 5% of the price you were ordering.
im so sorry :’(.if what i thought you said was true:
i order 100 items for 1 silver each (total 100silver).
the next day i only pick up 50 items, the other 50 i ordered got undercut so i ahve to cancel them (fee: 2.5 silver), i sell my 50 items that bought for 1S, 30C (fee: 9S, 75C).
profit=50*130-50*100-975-250= 2S 75C
the bold numbers are all added costs if what i read was really happening… thats why i was concerned.. i thought you meant a tax for cancelling buy orders, it would add risk for even the average tp user: normally they would place a buy order and get gear/crafting mats cheaper than if theyd buy instantly, but with that suggestion they would be punished for ordering for a wrong price.
thats why i was concerned, and now im ashamed of myself for not reading it right.
if you dont mind, im going to play some now and see if i can still enjoy my free time.bye,

No problem. I’m glad you got re-assured. This is only for sellers. For buyers I dont want to change a thing.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
This would be pretty nice, especially for poor players who get lucky with the drop of a high ticket item.
There’s only one potential issue I see with this. If someone happens to list an item for a value that won’t sell, they may not be able retrieve the item due to a lack of gold.
Very true, but people use the TP allready as alternate emergency storage. If you would remove the fee completely the result would be that everyone would use it for storage, really cluttering up the system with bogus offers.
Thats why I propose the the warning to those players. And considering that poor players dont put a legendary one sale, the max amount of penalty to get an item of would be 30 gols. This is indeed steep, but doable to farm.

Could I Log Into My Sister's Account?
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: mercury ranique.2170
Formal answer: No
In the user agreement is stated that accounts may not be shared with others. So if you activate a new account you become the owner and your sister is not allowed to use it. If your sister activates your account then your not allowed to play on her account.
Account owner disputes are common and have cause problems in several situations (no matter how good the intentions initially where).
A more informal answer is that it shouldn’t be too much a problem when you make sure you dont cause any confusion. To minimize the change for confusion do as follows:
a: Let your sister create the account with her emailadres and her displayname and her password. Let her install the game and let her log in for the first time. Ask her to not select a server and at that point log out.
b: You sister gives you her password and emailadress. You log in and your sister grands you access by adding your ip to the save list.
c: You do nothing! more then getting into the right server. After thats done you leave the character creation screen open.
d: You sister removes her permission to access from your ip-adress AND changes her password, making sure you can never ever get into her account again. She then logs in and starts character creation.
This to ensure that possible disputes of ownership can never exist. Keep in mind that even doing this means you and your sister are officially in violation of the end user agreement and you both do at your own risk!
A better method would be that you watch the serverlist and as soon as you see it’s available you warn her (even middle of the night!) to get it changed. If thats not an option then guesting isnt too bad either.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I actually only would need about 10 gold to make up enough to sell it. Though I’m really putting getting loans from others as my last resort.
I did hear a rumor that I could potentially list an item for just it’s sell price, and then it would sell for the highest (or lowest) buy order. Of course that’s a little bit risky when we’re talking about an item that sells for 400+ gold.
That 15% listing fee is really annoying…
The listing fee is 5% not 15%. On top of the listing fee you have to pay 10% tax when you have sold it (so over the profit). The price you list it for is the buy out price. So don’t put it up for a lower price then what it is worth. So if you put it up for a buy-out price of 500 gold (dunno the current exact price). You have to pay 25 gold to list it not 75 gold.
Your thread made me think and made me make a suggestion in the suggestion thread. Maybe you want to read it and if you agree show your support:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/listing-fee-limit-TP
To summorize my suggestion: the listing fee goes away. the tax goes up to 15% and if you want to remove an unsold item from, the tradepost you pay a 5% penalty. then end effect is the same but it enables lucky players like you to list high value items.

Hmmmmmmmm,
Great point Fror. Maybe an idea to combine this with the failing personality setting. The personality system is under a lot of criticism. Basicly it’s too easy to reach a certain personality and the effect is not noticable enough.
Maybe have 4 facial expressions and the one your expressing depends on your current personality standing.
If no personality peaks out you get a neutral expression.
If your personality peaks significant on Charm you get a happy expression
If your personality peaks significant on dignity you get a proud expression
If your personality peaks significant on ferocity you get a angry face expression
Maybe even add 3 more expressions if your peak 2 personality’s high and one low
So high charm and dignity and low ferocity gives you an (in love) dreamy expression
High dignity and ferocity and low charm gives you a strong face expression
Hi charm and hi ferocity and low dignity gives you a sad facial expresssion to show your inner conflict.
You can build and change your personality over time and by that changing your expression at will.

I don’t see your problem. Both the tax as the listing fee are based per item.
So in the current situation you put 100 items up the market for 1 silver each
You pay for every item a listing fee of 5% so 5 copper. In total you pay 5 silver to put those 100 items on the market. You sell e.g. 9 of them and then decide to take the other 91 off the market.
This means you get 9 silver-10% tax is 8 silver 10 copper. So total profit is 3 silver and 10 copper.
In my suggestion:
again 100 items for 1 silver each. You dont have to pay a thing to list them. Again you sell 9 and take the other 91 off the market.
You pay a penalty of 5% for taking the 91 items 4s55c off the market. Over the 9 sold items you pay 15% tax (1s,35 copper) so you recieve 7s65copper. Total profit 3s10 copper.
There is absolutly no difference in the profit all you have to do is not spent your initial listing fee. btw. Arenanet desinged this game to be played. A flipper is making money over the stupidity of other players. I’m not qualifying that as bad or good, just as a way of making money in the game that the game has never been designed for.

Hi ,
You posted this in the players helping players section of the forum. This section is ment for people with a question or a problem or for people giving random advise.
You ask a question that is actually answered by yourself, and then you make a suggestion. So you might have better luck in the suggestions section of the forum. Dev’s actually read there (but never comment, that has to do with copy-right issues of people claiming it was their idea and should have copyright-claims) but they do read it and good ideas are taken into consideration.
Off course I could have mis-understood you. If so I’m sorry, please clarify yourself further
Good luck

There is a +5% experience guildbanner. The effect last 30 minutes, so should be enough to complete some explorable mode dungeon paths.
If using a private solo-guild and buy the influence it cost 1 gold (500 inluence) to unlock it and 10 silver (50 influence) to spawn one banner.
I dont believe there is any boost or food that increases this.

same thing has happened to me but not only is the city different but the ip is also o.O
Many providers give you a different IP-adress from time to time. So that is nothing to get concerned bout. If you are trying to log in (action) and as a direct reaction you see that you have to wait for the email, and as a direct reaction you get the email a few minutes later it is all ok. You did something and the system reacted.
If you get such an email without a login-attempt then you should be worried.

Tarnished coast and Piken Square are the only RP-ing servers.
TC is the only Northern America (NA) RP-server
Piken Square is the only European (EU) RP-server
TC is very very hard to get into. You need to be very lucky in the midst of night and there might be a 4 minute window in wich it isnt marked as full. So it means many restless nights I’m afraid.
What you can do however is guest to TC form any other NA server. Guesting means you are limited in particiapting in guild-resources if your guild is primarly on TC and you can’t participate in WvWvW on behalf of TC.
Piken Square is open for new players, but from your post I think your not from Europe??

As far as I know, POIs in Shouthsun do not count for map completion, did that change with the last update?
Nope it didn’t. Southsun cove is the only map you dont need to explore. You dont even get a reward for it.

Many people have claimed to checked it thouroughly, but found out later they really didnt have all. Best advise is to print this list on paper, check every map, end then checkmark them with a pen. This makes sure you dont make false assumptions or just forget to check an area

Get a gem gift card yourself, open the gift card yourself, and give him the code to redeem the gems in game.

It is called a PERSONAL story line, not GROUP story line. They need to be consistent and make it for one person. What a waste, everything up to the end is solo, then BAM, fahgitaboutit, you lose.
Thats the main problem invoking these reactions. Anet wants this to be an MMO where people are charmed into playing together. This is atleast clearly the intention of Arah. So they shouldnt make you do the personal story solo except the last thing, they should make all story mode dungeons (after an overhaul to make it easier) embedded in the personal story. This would reflect the goal of an MMO.
Many content can be done solo, but once in a while you have to team up with other people to do more challenging tasks. Combine this with a decent ingame LFG dungeon tool and it would work perfectly. Those who wants to solo everything get to learn early on that this is the wrong game for that. Those who can still be charmed into the social aspect of an MMO are being teased with it early on before it is too late

This topic got me thinking:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Selling-a-Precursor-The-Hunter
It shows in my opinion that the current system of the listing fee on the trade post is broken when it is limiting poor people to make money.
The listing fee is an amount of money you have to pay to list items on the trade post. This is done to prevent people to make bogus trades or use the TP as storage. (put an item on the TP for 10 times the normal price so it is out of your inventory and you cant pick it up later)
The amount is 5% of the value. if you for example get the precursor dawn you can make a lot of profit on the market. Currently it sells for 515 gold. The listing fee however is 5%. So you actually need 25g75s to be able to sell it. This is for many people a steep price. Besides the listing fee you also have a tax (10%).
Both the listing fee as the tax have the function as a goldpit. Every MMO need several goldpits to keep the game economy from inflation and its actually a good thing. Still it should always be possible for poor players who got lucky to sell on the market what they want to sell for the price that it is worth.
== Suggestions ==
1: Remove the listing fee of 5%
2: Raise the tax to 15%
3: Add a penalty to the removal option of 5%. If you want to take an item your selling off the market you have to pay 5% of the price you where asking.
4: Add a warning if you put something up thats worth more then 20 times what you currently have saying something like: ’ Listing this item means that you can’t remove it again from the market with your current funding. The remove penalty is (insert amount of money). Are you sure you want to continue?? Yes – No.’
== Effects==
This suggestion doesn’t really change anything. You still have the money sink, you still can’t use the trade post as a free storage, but it does allow poor people to make a profit if they have a lucky drop

Hi,
The purpose to this section of the forum is to discuss support issues with Arenanet and with the public. Posting your ticket number on an individual (and straight forward) ticket doesnt make any difference. You made a mistake and when it is your time support will take care of your ticket. Hope its your turn to get helped soon. Good luck!

It’s probably via Facebook they got the details. Due to the fact I have two Guild Wars I accounts I don’t use my primary e-mail for Guild Wars 2. However the scam message came to me on the primary E-Mail.
I think its very unlikely. Facebook doesnt give out or publish your emailadres and actually makes a specific facebook emailadres they want people to use (nobody I know does that though). So this means facebook was hacked and I think that would be big news.

I asume you mean the chest after http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Defeat_the_riot-instigating_settler ??
Given the fact that it provides you with two random gear-items that are like a world chest reward, I suspect it is on a cooldown. Does it spawns for nobody as well or just not for you??

Great suggestion and it has my full support. I’m getting a bit worried bout people in other parts of this forum talking and discussing as if this is going to be implemented. You have the good sense of realityto understand that discussing if it should be Qaggan, Hylek or Kodan is totally useless unless there is announced that a new playable race is being implemented in e.g. a future expansion.
But if we are listed possible candites, you are forgetting the Tengu. They even have their own designated area (dominion of winds).
+1 though for a suggestion I would like and for the fact that it is a suggestion and not a wild assumption :P
