here is a corruption build but tricky as you put on yourself conditions but the signet help so transfer them back with low cd and also heal skill is on 20 sec cd
blood is power is also good skills when torment transferred and 8 might stakc so your condi dmg will be above 2k

regarding direct dmg very low -compare to what zerker – sure
yes my AA will do 1-2k dmg
my condi dmg can do (average) 1-2k dps
so in total i can get 2-4k dps
now consider 20 stacks of vulnerability its 2.4-4.8k dps
now consider 25 might stacks (easy to achieve) and fury so 24% crit chance with 150% dmg and 7% dmg modifier you will get 2.8k-5k dps
and yes both ways of dmg will pressure the enemy will i dodge /block or cleanse /heal
condition removal – i find it malyx doest work against condi bomb like trap ranger or condi shatter thus the condi removal is nice also removing weakness before the burst is also nice
charge mist if you know how to manage energy can buff you up to 25 no time as i get 3 stack of might and with blast another 4 stacks and sword 14 stacks . so short combo will get me 25 might stacks.
with retribution you might get bit less dmg for shorter time but you wont get 25 might stacks
i consider the hammer but felt like it doesnt give me enough pressure and put me in range while i want to teleport and be on close fight
this build is more group play rather 1v1 althogh it can handle 1v1
if i try celestial amulet the direct dmg will be very little bit higher ( average of 50 dps) but the condi dmg lot lower (average 200 dps) but celestial give me more armor
also the main ides is to pressure with 1-3 skills so to save energy for the burst or for the defense. with demon UA is great skills to disrupt your enemy

so this is the build i was using during the last beta
i have started with demon as i need some condis unti dmg skills with all the burning around. thus i immediately went after the condi dmg build but it felt kinda weak/wierd like a condi thief so than i looked for some hybrid and for something to buff both my direct dmg and condi dmg
i love the carrion amulet even over celestial. as its pure hybrid amulet with both condi and power states.
with sword and shield i can buff my might stacks and put some vulnerability and do some nice healing but shield 5 root you to the ground so be very careful when you use it and you got 2 with 1 trait so save them both for below 25% as trait will heal you a bit that after the skill again protect you little more so you get about 3k healing and shield 4 give another 2k heal
with mace and axe i do condi burst and still buffing my might with combos so its easy to get 2k burning dps with 5 stacks and torment with 10 stacks can be 1-2k dps and all other covering conditions like 3 bleed and confusion and poison add some 800 dps
so for 4-5 sec i can do some nice 4k dps which is 16k dmg not considering the direct dmg
so with 3 teleport skills you can catch up with your foe.
also its very easy to get to 25 might stacks
when bursted with conditions stay calm and use your resistance duration do negate the condi dmg and save energy accordingly. also swap legent to cleanse 1 condi like burning if its the only condi on you. also remember hoelbrak give 20% decrease duration so most condi duration will be 5-6 sec so 3 resistance boon can help with that. so elite demon is very low energy cost and give 2 stacks of resistance and also infuse light will heal for every dmg you take even condi.
you got 3 stun break with legend swapping and facet of darkness which give you fury and super speed if you need to disengage.
with Balthazar rune you can stack more burning

PVP: I tested it stronghold first. Was fine there, also pretty strong.
Then I played some duells vs d/d cele ele. He had no chance.
Then we changed the rules and we were like "who is going to cap that point and can hold it or will die " with these rules 2 times he died nobody could cap it, 1 time he got the point but died shortly after. 1 time i died and nobody had the point.And d/d cele ele has already a lot of aoe and i currently pvp meta. Not sure how good this will be in a 5 on 5 or larger fights.
how much time did you dueled? i guess more than 1 min. in 1 min thief can come helped him and you will die. the whole concept of pvp is not duel rather when to duel and when to support. see tcg. some of their fights they are losing in fights but winning the game by points cause they know when to decap and cap.
1v1 condi mesmer is fine as it is . but in group play they are useless.
try 2v2 versus 2 ele under 1 min fight rule. the will cleanse and hold the point while you do nothing to them.
sorry to say guard who can burst in 8-10 burn even if it cleansed after 2 sec its still 7k dmg. same as engi or dd ele who can sustain better. and now revenenat who can 5 burns 8 torment 4 confusion every 5 sec.
condi mes needs some love to be par with those or some other love to be better on other fields. see the necro who should be the master of condi … right ye

Shield
I think the Shield is in a good place.
Echo of Memory maybe should block multiple attacks over 2 seconds and summon the phantasm in the end. So it feels more different and defensive then Illusionary Riposte and Illusionary Counter.
I think Tides of Time should be ground targeting or follow the target. I often made the experience that it didn’t hit my target because it was moving.Continuum Split / Continuum Shift

This is a stun breaker and that’s why you usually use it defensifly. On pulse it makes you next attacks unblockable which is an offensive effect. And on the end it applies blur which is defensive.
This should be swapped so you can use this as a true defensive skill for your group:
Breaks stun on use (maybe even for allies). Apply 1sec of blur per pulse. And in the end a offensive effect like unblockable attacks is fine for counter attack.Well of Recall

Holy kitten. They are all really strong, some too strong. Thanks to Illusionary Reversion and Chronophantasma I could litterally spam my shatters. And I had nearly always 3 illusions up. It was not like before where you setup your illusions for a shatter. I had to wait for the cooldown of shatters, cause I always had so many illusions.
I could use Mind Wrack with 3 illusions, after that had 3 up again and could use Cry of Frustration with those 3 illusions. After that I had often again 2 illusions up. This felt really broken.
I guess Illusionary Reversion should be a grandmaster, it could swap places with Seize The Moment. Also Phantasms resummoned by Chronophantasma should inherit the attack cooldown from his “parent” phantasm. Another idea would be a cap of phantasms that can respawn on a single shatter or in a period of time.
i really dont know how you manage to get 3 up
is it in pve?
as in pvp on a point it hardly usable. as a necro or thief i will tr to kill the illusion first than the mesmer is really vulnerable
regarding IR
i think ppl always forget (sometime it seems anet too) that you never compare trait as op without seeing it from your enemy eyes.
lets assume 1 icd to the trait without 2 illusion demand. do the power shatter still can do huge burst – yes as of today without IR
does the condi mesmer will able to do nice burst – no same of today. becuase you dont wnat to shatter 1 clone for 2 torment stacks as i can build up 3 clones and get more dmg. so condi shatter wont abuse those shatter ability even when IR was without any icd or illusion demand.
as for now with 2 illusion condi shatter suffer the most. power shatter not so much as thier burst is waiting for the perfect time so its easy to proc izerk and 1 clone . so again it didnt hurt them much
to compancete the nerf on condi shatter mtd must be back to its glory. we need 2 stacks or 50% more dmg while moving. every other class has 33% more poison dmg or burning dmg or 20% bleeding dmg etc. we dont!
also we need more burning stack with AA just 1 more and with torch 3 stacks to par with others
only than 1-2 sec icd can fit both power and condi shatter from spamming shatter
see here you didnt see any power shatter complain about IR only the condi shatter players.
i tested the rev compare to mesmer and other condi build. mesmer i think almost at the bottom with group play (not 1v1)

i think necro in general are not build for 1v1. sure you can build it but the build wont be good in group play . reaper gs is mainly in group play and shout also benefit from group play and not dueling
i have tried several builds 1v1 a thief and after 60-120 sec or even longer he killed me just being patient but in team fight theaf hardly killed me unless i am outnumbered and need to die on the point
i really like it and so many builds open up

you can stack 10-20 might with lots of chill which is almost perma
the burning can scale up to 6 stacks doing 2.5k dps
the poison can stack uo to 10-16 doing 1-1.5 dps
chill can do 400-800 dps
and direct dmg doing also 1-2k dps
it doesnt rip boons like the cele signet but does better dmg overall and great aoe effects with drak field and ice field and poison field
also took maraduer and it works fine too and also tried the MM version also with poison fields with blast and whirl combo
the only problem i had is i need some babysitting from my team because i will be the first target
was able to handle any condi builds (excepte mesmer)
hammer warrior could be problematic some times
thieves with d/p also can be bit problem in some build variation if they are patient enough
i like it overall but with GS its more group play rather than 1v1
i tried 3 builds without DE
bunker and power shatter suffer the most with IR . i need to be able to proc fast 3 clone to be able to reduce dmg by 9%. with IR simply imposibble if i am on point.
with power sometimes it seems i dont really need IR at all for the burst rather for the escape and misplace of me which is where it hit the build the most as it more easy to see where i am.
for condi it hurst little bit cuase now i shatter slowy now. at the former beta i shatter fast for great burst and now i w8 few sec to pop clones and phantasm so my dps is too low over time. sure i can do dmg but taking into account mtd nerf and no DE compare to before . in a big NERF

so the problem was not condi shatter being op rather power chatter being op.
condi shatter dont need to smash all shattering thus i think a 1-2 sec icd on IR will solv the problem or make it 1 illusion demand and not 2 which is hardly achieved (against good player or team, as new player will die no matter what and qq about it)

with DE and IR shouldnt be a problem the create clones fast enough
yeap after few test i can say IR is useless without DE in general
bunker build are cool and can be effective but cleanse on the wells were much more useful as your team hardly will stay on point w8ing for the alacrity
all the cleave and aoe the chance to get 2 clones is so rare which make IR so irrelevant trait even with DE
also tried the power shatter . it doesnt need IR to do the same burst dmg.

Will the 2s of Alacrity onto Wells be in addition to the 2 conditions removed? That would definitely make the trait highly competitive and “incentivize” using wells.

if so than healing power dont benefit this life siphon ability. so probably a skill bug and not tooltip bug as the other abilities of the signet (passive and the healing) works as intend

check the wiki and the formula is 392+0.31*1200= 764
but the actual healing when i attacked was 499
when i changed rune without healing power i got 470 like the tool tip state
i didnt had poison on myself
the passive healing is correct and also the healing itself
so do the active healing almost got no scale with healing power

I used to run something almost identical to this builds in the past, however I ran staff over axe and has slightly different traits in spite. Overall it was a decent team fight builds because you could tank a point for a very long time and provide support through rezzes. I did feel that it was useless in smaller fights as it didn’t really have enough damage on its own to win the 1v1s that cele signet necro and MM can win with ease. Cele signet has the ele matchup going for it (its main strength) while Cleric MM has better team support and better sustained single target damage.
I also used locust over spite and strength runes.
So my verdict is that it’s a good build, but it’s not a great build.

i played with cele amulet and its feels like in 1v1 yes is good but soldier or knight is better. in team fight soldier was better for me with higher toughness and life force

i checked all amulet dmg
knight provide the most direct dmg but less hp over 500 dmg difference
cele is next cuase bit of bleeding dmg (semi hybrid)
close next is soldier (lack of bleeding around 200 per tick) but if get fury the dmg is higher than cele
cleric like soldeir
so cele got less armor less hp less life force but more bleeding poison dmg which is not so constant unless he transfer conditions.

i like the idea mesmer is all about fields but i would have been happier if more fields would have been available to us. atm we currently have ethereal fields (light and dark is hardly for the fields)
what we get if our party use them right. chaos armor which gives to the party blind, confusion and cripple if they get hit and protection, regen and swiftness. the blind and cripple is really good
all anet needs to do is to connect between them proc by our fields and our base dmg like if i run condi and ineptitude and my warrior blast my field and he get attacked he proc blind and confusion from my ineptitude which do my condi dmg
this also could work with the trait mistrust as if my team will get chaos armor and i can interrupt we could proc about 5- confusion stacks aoe – probably will work better in wvw but also in pvp like in mid fights. so enemy will try not to hit us if they see chaos armor
i would also like more fields with weapon like torch can be smoke or fire field, shield can be dark field and not ethereal.
well of eternity – water – common a heal skill aoe so if ppl blast it it would be so good as party support. the mesmer alone cant use it unless he take torch
well of action – ethereal – like time warp should be ethereal in concept
well of calamity – fire – well which does dmg so if you leap or blast you get might stacks or fire aura which increase your might stacks
well of precognition – light – with stability and the ability for retaliation and light aura

wow the staff was almost exactly what i have suggested long time ago (very long)
but it doesnt have much stealth rather more evade and dodges (seems anet dont like stealth any more)
so what comes up in my mind is a sword/pistol +staff
many interrupts, dodges, evade and good dmg but no stealth abusing like d/p and the mobility with SB .
in pvp the is no build without SB and staff alone as the dmg with out stealth ….
hard to see it coming to pvp arena but who knows

Nice team support with side point fighter. Really good LF generation because of Spectral skills good siphon for sustain and team condi transferring support. Not sure if Sigil of Blood works through DS maybe test it out and LMK? This is just a quick little brainstorm so you’ll have to let me know. Or you can wait till later so I test it but that will be in a while lol. Seems like it would be fun though.
with staff soul marks is a must and blood bond only trigger in staff but tricky
your amulet give you more healing power but you got less hp and life force also you got no swiftness . focus is nice but warhorn is much better with dagger
the concept is the same though
Note too that with Ineptitude, Blinding Dissipation now adds a stack of confusion to each shatter, which helps make up for the loss of aoe stacks from f3.
And per Pyro’s post, Ineptitude is synergizing directly with Sigil of Energy, as the blind/confusion on dodge obviously only works if you can actually dodge.
it really depends on your timing and game style
i used to run without energy and didnt have much problem and geo sigil are nice but take it on one weapon set.
ineptitude is on 10 sec icd so learn to time right your block/phase retreat/dodge so save some endurance . if you cant like in outnumbered take energy for sure but for dueling you can handle without them
i would like you to criticize it
1. Spiteful Talisman without focus?
2. If you mostly want to solo side points with this build I’d definitely take Banshee’s Wail over Vampiric Presence.
On the other hand, if you are involved in team fights often enough to justify having VP then I’d definitely take Locust Signet instead of Signet of Spite.3. I’d replace Sigil of Force with crit or swap sigils, or maybe bloodlust.
my dmg compare to the meta signet build is higher and the sustain is the same.
Any build with Blood Magic has way better sustain than the “meta” signet build.

1. yes no focus as i need dager to transfer conditions with all the burns out there. any trait isnt much needed so i guess the 5% more dmg if enemy dont got boons is better than 3% more dmg if chill or condi cleanse at 25% hp
