This way ventari could hit 10 targets, would sound nice to raid players.
I would say that the tablet should not effect the player twice though because this would be OP.
In addition it would be kinda balanced (except the mentioned point) because you have to position the tablet and yourself very well for maximum potential.
The upkeep would maybe need some tweaking in PvP.
To improve ventari they should also improve the traits. Its kinda odd that a legend trait is a minor and half of the salvation traitline is healing power stuff.
I gladly would try put the new rooting trait of the GM section but i dont wanna use ventari in solo pve.

The resummoning mechanic of the tablet and a missing stunbreak is what holds this legend back tge most IMO. Automatic resummoning when activating the elite would be good. A stunbreak on purifying essence and a second PbAoE effect on the rev could make this legend great. It still would have pure support cappabbilities but could be used in solo and group content in PvE.

although stunbreak is always nice . in ventari skill it wont affect them and you can still use skill . this is what i like the most

if we get stunbreak they will put activation time on the skills which will make then interuptable which drag ventari to very dark places

the elite changes made more for pve/raid/wvw and less for pvp aspect. for pvp the kb is more important as losing all nrg while most of the fight you have like 30% to cleanse only 3 conditions is meh atm..

i wish they could raise the nrg to 30 and make it as another cleanse 3 aoe conditions. if more conditions were cleanse you lose 10 nrg for each unique condtion. but pls dont lose every time all your condition as sometime i want to kb ppl 3 times

regarding trait line i agree some changes can be more intrsting than just increase healing effectivnes (4 traits)
like you heal effectivness increase by 2% pernumber of hits you took. so if you get focus you can also healyourself. if you aint got focus you want to get the focus to be able to heal your allies much fast and higher.

instead of the 4 traits you can put something more appling to ventari like:

1. fragments now cleanse 1 condition when being picked
2. solace get improve and now also reflect
3. fragments can daze when enemy touched them – i like this idea alot
4. fragment will heal around them or proc regen for 5 sec (the duration of the fragment)
5. fragment duration is increase by 100% so can last 10 sec so much easy to picked during fight
6. natural harmony heal you back 10% for each allies you heal this way
7. poison effects on you is decrease by 40% (ventari is a healer should be able to deal with poison)
8. the gm trait which immobilize is a trash with 3 sec activation. common should be with out it at all.

i think ppl yet have to discover th possibility not using dragin stance

with invoction anet gave us the ability to build might as high as dragon, perma fury and swiftness so more legends can be used

dragon is nice but the healing skill now preety much useless in pvp and if you ant to explore way without sharing boons you have the ability now

like shiro/jalis for more sustain or shiro/mallyx for condi handling

think like a thief combine with ele who switch attunment constantly

yes you would need to switch accrouding the situation and act and react

now we have more ways

will it be more useful time will tell do we have now the option now we do

the traits have changes so consider the new one

my dps was about 4k in group fight ppl just melted
but when thief target me i melted too…..

the idea is to put chill and immobilize iside your UA so your sword axe is very good to get in melee and do the combo. than switch to mace sword to immobilize and do the mace combo or UA

these are the ways to maintain 25 might stacks. choose what you like . you dont need all of them

one with nature – 5 might – must have
3 might from glint
1 fury – 2 might

heal skill – 2 might (out of combat) – not must
legend swap – 2 might
sword 3 – 5 might
or
combo mace 2+3 = 3 or 6 might

when your nrg below 50% gain 2 might – must have

sigil on hit 1 might every 2 sec – not must but useful

rune altruism – 3 might + fury (2 might) – out of combat even – not must but useful

after playing every day since patch about 5 games i saw
only 2 running condi rev
only 1 condi necro
only 2 condi guard
only 1 d/d condi thief
many condi mesmer
1 condi warrior
only 1 condi engi
all the rest run power or sustain build

yes it suck when we lost to a team with 3-4 condi builds no matter how much we cleanse we died. (cause we havent use counter burst build rather more sustain and sustain versus condi lose in the end)

This is what happens when you give professions way to much stability, They don’t even realize how much CC there is now.

“how often do you get immobed, dash away and instantly get immobed again?”
Every Time you Engage an opponent, What kind of players do you fight? even in bronze tier NA they know enough to stack CC. It’s like you don’t even play this game.

Stability doesn’t even effect immobilizes though, stability access is completely irrelevant when tolking about immobs.

Also few builds can apply immob twice.
Warrior – has no immobs
Guard – has one on scepter, zero otherwise
Power rev – none
Condi rev -none
Ranger – 2-3 depending on build
Thief – 1 if traited, a spammable one if and only if they have mainhand pistol
Scrapper – none
Necro – none
Ele – none
Mesmer – none.

Actually ele has one on earth 3 (12s CD) and mesmer sword 3 if the clone lives long enough to switch is an immob, both meta builds because I feel it’s poor form to discuss very rare or extremely niche weapons. Still your point does stand that there is hardly a mass of immobilise at the moment, it could have a lot removed from dash and it would still be exceptional.

As I said earlier, think how much you could remove from all elite specs before they might not be chosen over a core trait line. Some elite specs are slowly getting to that point within different roles but some are simply far too strong or missed the mark on what they were trying to accomplish, daredevil being in the latter category.

Edit: @Messiah, I think he was mostly just pointing out on meta/viable builds. There is much more immob in the game if you really list them all but many have a much higher cost to slotting than is realistic to use.

Also I forgot aftershock and overload earth (though you’d have to be blind to get hit by the overload).

the only immobilize i hate is from the ranger trait as it ticks 1 sec 5 times. so sometimes i cleanse and boom immoiblize again

with invocation new trait you can achieve 25 might stack easy with fury – maybe dragon wont be needed.. i manage to do so without dragone stance but with herlad.
so now you can go full offensive yolo build. shiro/x or even hybrid sage amulet shiro/mallyx hit and run play style with condi and direct dmg with 17% more direct dmg and 7% more condi dmg and 20% more torment dmg and with rune of chill with 7% more dmg to chilling foes and sigil 5% so total direct dmg increase by 29% and condi dmg (torment 27%)

will test it later on

the big problem i have is my counter – thieves

if they target me most of the time i am dead if my team dont support me

the invocation line can make you drop herald cause you can stack might yourself much quicker and fury – just take rune with 25% speed and you ok to go.

i might try again jalis / shiro or mallyx/ shiro for hybrid dmg 25 might with 750 condi dmg is also nice

corruption 2,3,2 – more boon removal and resistance

versus high dmg team and if you want more bunkery role
retribution 2,3,2 – reduce dmg , reduce condi dmg, and more stability
herald 2,1,3

if you like to do more dps go
invocation 2,3,2 – perma fury, lots of might stacks up to 25 easy during fight, 17% more dmg (and 7% more condition dmg)

i think what Anet trying to do is to bring to table more builds

rev – push to try conditions

Rev is running the same build in PvP since 18 months ago. Despite the nerfs to power and the buffs to support and condition power Rev is still the most competitive build to run for Revs in PvP.

we need to w8 and see . as thief might take his spot. as also power rev is little low at the moment . maybe condi rev combine with ele can do an aoe on point huge dmg ..

so i took dps meter bgdm and compare the result with our ele on the team

hps (healing per second)
revenant had better results most of the fights with total of 700 hps the entire fight or 1-2k hps during fights . i also got top healing and defense score. while ele had little bit lower overall but sometimes when all cd were rdy the hps got higher to almost 3k with the ele.

dps (dmg per second)
regarding group dps, bgdm doesnt support unless my team install it too. so i switch to my ele and make several test in the mist versus npc/golems
the result was in favor of the revenant (if using mallyx even higher) dps was about 1.5k during fights. while ele had about 700-1000 dps. during an actual fight the revenant had about 300-800 dps depend if i my team handle the fight well or not.

boons:
regeneration – ele had 90% rev had 80%
vigor – ele had 90% rev 0
swiftness – ele had 80% rev 80%
stability – ele 0 rev 33%
alacrity – ele 0 rev 30%
might – ele 5 rev 1.5
fury – ele 0 rev 40%
protection – ele 90% rev 80-90%
retaliation – ele 0 rev 15%

i can say that my self sustain got little bit higher with the new sigils which cleanse and the ventari expulsion which cleanse for every 10 nrg so with jalis i can support team better with dmg reduction and stability and cc if i manage my nrg right

i think what Anet trying to do is to bring to table more builds
more build meaning even conditions
dh – went from bunker, power to condition and power again
thief – although d/p meta they make it more appealing to poison d/d and sb
ranger – pushed to try traps again and conditions
rev – push to try conditions
mesmer – push away from power to bunker and to conditions builds
warrior – power to condition to power
engi – condition (long time ago) to power

so the direction is nice . each class can use power or condi build.

to call it meta will be define by the sustain abilities. the more you can sustain versus conditions you will see power meta (as we saw for several season)
and i think we will continue to see that as power serve better in terms of burst dmg than conditions (dmg over time)

group will have to build around support each other and use support build and class like the ele in order to win.

lets assume we will see now condi revenant meta.. after short time you will see counter to it in game play. like thief who target the revenant (like necro got focused) and so on

I do play Ventari healer in WvW. Its very wonky to use if your trying to play front-line, however mid-line is a different thing. Being able to move it lets me react to healing both front-line and back-line very nicely. Takes time to get used to though.

that’s the idea . it takes time to get used to it even in pvp
in pvp most of the time the tablet will be close to you. point, small fight area etc..
but the ability to heal far from you is the benefit.
if you wanna be melee healer go ele.

TFW they nerf PvE staff damage to bring us more in-line with other Raid DPSers.

TFW they undo all that and give us a 42-44k condi build with a single element “rotation” that anybody can pull off.

Once again, everything you posted so far suggests to buff other classes and nerf thief because god forbid thief is top pick as roamer that it was designed for? LOL.

thief mainly picked cause of their mobility and stealth tactics. their 1v1 is horrible although anet states its a roamer role ….. mmmm confuse ? so am i .
so now thief will be handle almost any class in 1v1. we checked warrior , ele , guard, rev, necro, engi and ranger and thief 80% won in 1v1.
yes they were good thieves.

also its not buuf to to other class. again IR to mesmer is big nerf to most mesmers out there. so to give something back if they manage to do something right is nice

i do agree the amount of blocks, evade, reflect this game has is huge. but nerffing them will result in more power nerf coming

the less defense you have the less power you need to make this game balance

the idea here to make you better if you manage to do something right and the job of you enemy is to make you do mistakes to lose effectiveness

Another option is to cap what is stolen so you might steal protection but rather than the 20s some classes might have it only lasts 5s but removes it completely from the target. Might could be capped at 5 stacks but removes all 25 from the target.

As for the balancing of thief, I said a while ago perhaps an avenue to explore is short 1-5s cool downs on skills while tuning them up to be generally more useable and stronger where needed like what ANet seems to be doing with massively underused skills now. The daze from headshot could be increased without worrying about PI spam if it had a 2-3s cool down and cost less initiative, it also opens the doors to more interrupt/daze traits in the future without worrying about being spammed.

also good idea to cap the stolen boon.

Headshot deals 5 dmg and applies 1/4 sec daze, it already costs 4 ini which is a lot for the spell that can’t be used while being stunned and applies such short cc. Take a guess why trickery is mandatory and thieves camp AA? Because they are ini starved and you want to effectively (due to absurd amount of blocks, blinds, stab, invuls etc. flying around) increase costs of the spell which will affect core build. Why?

You also want to give core mes alacrity? Really now?
You want straight out buff core rev?
And you want to buff core war. Why?
How about we nerf elites first before we starting buffing core builds?

Notice the trend. All your suggestions involve buffing other classes while nerfing thief. Biased much?

i was main thief from the beginning till 3 years i play almost the same concept and got board . so change to mesmer, rev, guard, ele, necro, bit ranger warrior and engi..

i like to explore . i play and practice with top players and here what they say.

thief at the moment gonna be top picking. most of his skill as you mention is basically AA.
the idea is to reward players with good play and not just spamming hitting the keyboard mindlessly.

so many times i see thief pew pew #4 and i close my eyes as i know he is bad one or new one. so in order to make them better reward them with better awareness

same goes to every class

its not a buff across the board rather nerf when doing mistake and buff when doing something right

so yes thief spamm – you lose initiative. thief attack at the right moment you gain initiative.

and also you mention good outcome. buff core spec so we will end with more diversity in builds, tactic and maybe more players

How the kitten is landing a full unload considered skillful? I think that shows more about your opponent’s skill than your own skill if they can’t dodge or block one of the longest channels in the game.

you are exactly right
to land a full channle skill is hard cause all the block, evade, dodge, refelect out there. thus the reward if you manage to do it

give you hint: use immobilize and unload with quickness…..

just gonna say it again. Adding interrupt sigils in pvp was one of the more dumber things ANET pvp team has done this year. Having said that i will be using them because why would i kitten myself

the sigil is not the problem rather the easiness to cc chain at the moment

to reward player for a good play is a must imo. but rewarding a spamm player is not.

vitality amulets already in use no matter to conditions

toughness amulets never in used in the last 3 seasons as vitality much needed.

also condi bomb can be handled as team need to have some support like ele and now maybe revenant with the new power cleanse elite

the idea is to build 5 man team with a significant role to each other

if you run without support you will die to power or condi eitehr way if the enemy tema do got support due to over sustain the fight.

the pvp game is not only 1v1 its also team v team

if you land full hits you gain 2 initiatives back

what if this idea will spread acrross the borad in some way to benefit good play versus spamm play or mistakes

if thief manage to interupt with #4 pistol you gain initiative back (raise the base cost for sure)
if mesmer hits with 3 illusion you gain 1 clone back or gain alacrity
if revenant share X boons/heal he will gain nrg back or if he put X amount of condi or direct dmg he will gain nrg back
if warrior interupt/block he will gain adrenaline faster

and so on…

dont forget we have several classes who can reach high boons stacks and numbers

ranger, necro, ele, revenant etc..

so to counter them its nice to steal thier boons

but i agree necro who build 25 mights stacks while his sustain is weaker than any other class (rev maybe) might be in big problem now.

and thief who steal 25 might stacks easily cause necro skills are preety much screaming for cc…. also problematic

i dont think the problem is in the sigil rather the ability to cc constantly

thief with his #4 pistol . if they are great player kitten … if they are spamming its annoying as hell. so i dont know how you can favot the good player versus the bad spamming player . increase the initiative cost maybe or like they did with unload. if all hit connect you gain 2 initiative so add more 2 initiative and if you interupt you gain 2 initiative more and if you failed to you lost more initiative … sound more right to me .

for thief the main problem is PI with no cd. i dont mind to see thief having 25 might stacks . your team should peel for you if a thief hunting you

maybe thief now are more viable cause other got sustain nerf. so few minor adjustment will be needed.

I would like that the tablet would follow you arround and the elite would be the ground target for the tablet and upkeep. As long as the elite is active it could double its radius and make it immobile. After ractivation the tablet activates the KB and teleports back to you. The new condi cleanse mechanic isnt something for me really. A stunbreak is still missing on ventari, an AoE stunbreak would be fitting.

if it will follow you there wont be a need in a tablet . the idea is to control it and send it to heal if allies is far from you. the tablet move faster than you can can reach almost any location in range of 1500.

if you get used to it you will find it very unique and strong in some situation like

1v1 on far point. i see my ally in far needs help so i will go for him and mid way send my tablet to him heal him and come back to mid fight with no need to travel far on my own.

the only downside are thieves who see that and know you are vulnerable for few seconds. but thieves now are worst enemies to almost any class atm

Sending the tablet arround wont go away, but it would make wvw and pve content better for ventari. At the moment this legend is mainly for bunkering in pvp and raids as a support. Some utility for PvE/WvW would be neat.
With my idea the elite is basically the “i am going to safe your kitten” button. The normal heal is just on cast an heals instant PbAoE without travelling.
This way you could travel arround with the tablet and fight against mobs without fidling arround and if stuff get ugly you can deploy the tablet to hold a specific location. This could be sweet backlining WvW support or awesome for meta events.

cant speak about raids. and wvw gvg long ago i stop with it. i do know the healing in a group is insane and can build yourself to 100% healing to allies.
in pvp which is more small area and contest war the traveling is very important as it take time. again your idea mainly used as an ele who move from one palce to another to heal.

some ppl said CG will reveal you. it did before as it does dmg. now it got buff liitle bit

also you dont need stability with poison field. just cleanse and make sure you have below 5 poison stack when you ress or stomp and you do fine.
ele 1 shout can make sure of that
now if thief works with necro it can be different story. same as 2 class cleanse the down…. so no big change

i like the idea of the sigil

the PI with no cd is the problem not the sigil itself. pi should have 5 sec cd.

the sigil has 3 sec cd which is ok.

the only class who can perma cc you is thief with spamm, memser with 3 illusion daze. so 3 sec cd on the sigil is fine. the problem is PI spamm.

thief gonna be top tier when sustain all around got nerfed a bit

d/p dont use much stealth so the reveal isnt going to really hurt them at all.

anet push to the right direction
on one hand dont change the meta to harshly. same meta builds will not changed. condi mesmer, ele support, dh, warrior , ranger engi etc…
on the other hand create more builds to play around. condi rev, support rev, condi ranger, condi necro to sum degree.

also push to group play with teef and necro poison field can be fun to watch them working together. thief alone need heavly invest to secure 5 poison stacks.

condi rev is mainly team player not 1v1 so might be he replace the necro. depends if condi rev will need much babysit like the necro
