ok lets discuss it:

we want to compare it to the ele shouts build.

heal abilities – as you can see natural harmony out heal the ele shouts heals and on short cool down. passive heal from PT, and fragment which heal 1.5k on every skill is nice buff. downside your team or you must take it during 5 sec cd. but nevertheless revenant has the best heal skills out there. dont forget the staff AA orbs which heal also and give swiftness and regen.

conditions – ele can cleanse much better as evey shout cleanse 2 conditions and overload water is nice burst cleanse and heal compare to revenant best self resistance. while PE which cleanse 3 and staff RW which cleanse 2 at the cost of 40 nrg.

protection – win to the revenant heal skill , one with nature, and EoE skill.

soft cc – ele win here with chill, immobilize and cripple. rev has chill with sword but hardly use but has nice aoe blind with heal skill which can be spammable.

hard cc – rev win here with staff SotM kb , DS daze, and ventari EE kb. compare to the ele 40 sec and 25 sec cd and shocking aura.

remove boons – rev win here with passive traits and active demon skill BE

projectile – rev win but be careful with nrg management so use it on key moments.

alacrity – new buff which is nice mainly for self to reduce cd on shield skills.

micro management – here rev loss as he needs to move the tablet around while he think where he needs to be. the best case is your allies move around you. but you can also heal from range and send your tablet to the area needed before you reach there.
also nrg management is something you need to learn and i think has bit hard curve of learning. even i struggle sometimes while ele in 1v2 can do better.

DEV TEAM:

what can be change to make the support revenant more appealing (and other builds too) ?

nrg management :

i think like thief has ways to increase his initiative points revenant should too.

so in every trait line put on minor trait the ability to get some back.

corruption – opportune extraction – when you remove a boon from foe you get 10% nrg back (work only with this trait)
salvation – serene rejuvenation – when you get alacrity you also regen nrg 10% faster,
dragon – crystal harbinger – when you use one with nature you get 10% nrg back,
retribution – determine resolution – when you take dmg below 75% you get 0.5% nrg back
invocation – ferocious aggression – while you have fury you get 0.5% nrg back
devastation – mutilate defenses – striking a foe give chance to apply vulnerability and get 2 nrg back

condition cleanse:

we need more ability to cleanse condition effectively with weapon skills.

shield – envoy of exuberance should cleanse 2 conditions at target area and 2 more when it comes back

axe off hand – temporal rift – when the rift collapse it cleanse 3 conditions form allies around it

dwarf stance:
vengeful hammers – increase dmg by 10% and healing scale so with mender every attack could heal 160 and not 63 . increase nrg drain to -10.
soothing stone reduce cd to 20 sec,
IR – nrg cost reduced to 25,
FE – nrg cost reduce to 20

Why no sigil suggestions

Boons on crit. Specific boon duration increase passively. How about a cripple sigil. Sigil that provide damage boost for a specific skill type? You guys might as well just finish up all the current sigils that are lacking counterparts like condi duration for every condi.

Would anyone really run a blind duration sigil?

but blind on crit or on hit can be usefull if it will be 5 sec cd

i have tested it last season but not yet in the current season but my friend did in unranked and loved it.
i think the main idea is to be more healer than bunker. i try to do them both as in solo play you dont know what to expect…

i havent reach 800k healing. its mean the fight was too long for me but my average was 200-300k

i manage to res alone while being focus by 2 thieves (my team gg me)
hold 2v2 and short 2v3 versus 2/3 dmg dealers

here are the pros
1. 1.1k-1.3k heal per second (best atm versus other variation)
2. great versus power dmg melee classes
3. versus range you can use block and be fine
4. give swiftness at the beginning and stability and weakness on point
5. good cc and control with taunt and kd
6. can handke 1v2 but you will need to kite and leave your point
7. great resser
8. give 10% crit dmg to the group
9. constand regen and swiftness to the group
10. blind on point so dmg reduction
11. 50% dmg reduction when team is rdy to burst

cons:
1. condi pressure even in 1v1 as it will drain your nrg . mesmer can be done but range class need to be careful. (unless using mallyx with curroption)
2. need good group communication and rotation.
3. when you are focused you cant escape so you need your team to support you via dmg
4. you are more burst healer than sustain heal. so move with the dmg dealers
5. lots of micro managing. i try to focus more on AA and spam heal but still its micro managing versus other classes
6. check constantly your nrg. 1 sec off without enough and you are dead.
7. sneaky thief with cc chain below 50% hp can kill you fast so eyes open.

didnt check your build but i have tested mallyx and ventary and it can work.
stability isnt much needed when you are in ventary as you can heal yourself even if stun and oyu can use the letie to kd the enemy.
tempest has 10 sec stability and than he is gone . ele need to kite alot versus rev and if he use his shouts he is off as supporter for 25-30 sec. while rev can still spamm heals.

i use different build but it lack versus condi pressure althout is can handle nicely . mallyx i use if i see 2 condi pressure class in the group and if my role is to bunk and not support

testing again jalis/ventari. in equal fights its hard to be killed.
jalis is nice for its support abilities on point stability weakness, cc and dmg reduction. but than you need the team to support you till you build up your nrg back.

when ressing i use VH to gain hp back little bit and do dmg.
i use mace to give might stacks and blast finisher when needed.

ranger is still better for bunkering and ele better in healing . seem that rev is good at both

the problem with rev is that we dont got much stunbreak so cc chain kill us quickly

pretty much easy and also good to rip off boons in team fight when you dont take any focus. use PA on the right time so you will get longer resistance time to help you rebuild energy back. be careful from necros rip boons

good condi handling if not beeing burst with it. condi reduced dmg if you handle your nrg right with elite.
at the start give swiftness with 2 blast. and on point give stability to your team
taunt used only to secure stomp and if enemy is being focus by your team.
VH is good in team fight to gain hp back and when you CC to help a little.
Rogd is great with comms as the initial strike you can give 50% dmg reduction to your team for 5 sec.
BT trait is good when facing a melee class as the blind negate so much dmg off you.

the problem with rev healbot / bunker is when the enemy team realize it and focus you are dead as you just cant out heal the focus dmg. and you just dont have good escape abilities.
so you need good team or move yourself in team fight and not solo.

Fear does partial ticks, no need for the extra duration as it wont “doube” the damage. With his build he has 87.33% fear duration so fear will do 1 tick then a second tick for 87.33% the first ones damage.

nightmare gives 100% fear duration and +15% to other conditions as well
sunless 87%

nightmare gives 50% chance for fear 2 sec cd 60 sec – this is the main reason to take this amulet
sunless when using plague which is on 180 sec cd for 1.87 sec so only 0.6 sec

first one change to the build to help you out
take rending shade which will help you better in team fight to pressure the ele, ranger, warrior and engi. 5 boons stealing will help your team in the burst as you are not burst type thief (rather as solo type necro with better escape utilities)

dont go to 1v1 as you lost the edge of your venoms. look for 2v2, 3v3. not even +1 as you dont have much burst (depends on the enemy)

most of your fight in 1v1 will end that enemy thief will +1 so you wont achieve much but crippling your team. so think like condi necro steal boons at the right time. look to rip protection, regen, stability mainly or to rip might to help with your burst

if you see you struggling to do dmg with too many reflect blocks just focus on decap/cap points and harassing the ele and force him to use utilities which hinder his abilities to heal better his team

i tried it and its nice build just for fun but still d/p is much better for thief

i really dont know what is OP with IP as play thief or being killed by one i usually see 1 hit
i try not to spamm skills or as a thief look for the heal skill or key moments with enemy rotations to HS them
yes i see sometime in team fight especially thief which spamm HS. as mesmer with 3 clone and F3 daze can daze you 3 times with 1 skill. so i have to be careful and let him spent initiative ans see him disengage.

but reading some post i think buff the PI dmg and add CD to it can resolve it.

skilled thief will gain more as they hardly spamm and gain more dmg. and spammer thief wont get anything from it.

so dmg should be 25% more and 3 sec cd to the trait.

regarding stability if you like to do 4k dmg just spent all your initiative and hope the enemy will spamm skills.

with easy job anet can return the support mesmer once again

he heal less than ele build but can give other support like boons (which was nerfed in pvp aoe cleasne , resistance and quickness)

just buff it little more as the shield block already nerfed hard. bring back the boons sharing ability in pvp (since split skills was added) and you can have nice support with portal.
for the shield i would add . every time you block attack you reduce cd by 0.5 sec

power dmg dealer build the same. just buff the gs aa dmg.

and new concept with phantasm might be harder rework and balance for other builds so can be saved for later

phantasm build should be added as its our core design. the dmg should be as a sustain dmg and not burst

burst- shatter build (like thief) condi or dmg (later need boost to dmg)
sustain – phantasm build like ranger with pet should now be harder to kill and attack bit more often. could split to defense sustain or offense sustain.
support – another build which got gutted with chrono line and wells. no with no boons, no healing.

if those 3 builds were an option you would see more diversity, fun, tactic and mind game in all game modes

mesmer build and design for high skill cap players (like thief and even more)
master it and you can master all classes
your dmg isnt coming from you rather you “pets” which die faster than speed of light. so you must learn when to burst perfectly or else you lose your burst. when going to guard or any other class its becoming more easy to learn when to burst

necro with good support also is consider key smash spamm (again as long he got a babysitter)

engi after few match versus him he just smash reflect, daze, leap, and AA and rifle kit and heal skill blast. just daze the heal and he is on passive shrink mode

warrior the same hit him few time and he got nice 10 sec passive game mode

guard hit him few times and he lose all his block proc and heal and he is dead

ranger again same stupid rotation

learn all of them and you good to go.

now when you face good player its another story as it become more mind game, kite, stow weapon etc…

What PvP needs is a TUTORIAL.

PvE has a tutorial, WvW has a tutorial. PVP HAS NO TUTORIAL.

the problem you cannot do fully tutorial for every scenario as there are too many variant
1. your build
2. your skill lvl
3. allies build
4. allies skill lvl
5. enemy build
6. enemy skill lvl
7. first rotation
8. outcome
9. second rotation
10. and so on …. till 15 min ends

you might do some popup quiz like if 1 in close and 2 on mid and enemy rush to mid where should you go?….. LOL

if you play dmg dealer, your enemy is winning mid and you have close where should you go

Anyone have a guide for a support ele? Here’s the deal:

I go mid at the start of the game. Most of the time we win the teamfight, and I am left behind to hold mid.

If home is struggling, I abandon mid and go home to help support.

The thing is, people tell me “go back mid, ele” or if I’m at mid “help us, ele!”

I don’t get it.

as support you should look for team fight or if your team leave you on mid that you need to hold it till help comes. so 1v2 should be after 20 sec 2v2 while the point is still yours.
check the hp bar of your team. if you see 2 allies losing lots of hp and gaining it back it means they used heal skills and be dead in couple of second so rush to help…..unless the wipe is much faster.

basic rotation is 1-4-0 (enemy team do 0-4-1)

from that point is can go whatever. if your team win mid stay 1-4-0 and eyes on close.
if your team started to lose mid than push far while 2 stay mid and just kite to prolong mid fight and hope for 2-4 for couple of seconds on mid (depends if the enemy team stay at mid 3 at least, as you can outnumbered far and win it)
if your team has a thief/rev/mes he should do the rotation mind game even in the cost of 3v4 mid as he can decap fast and come back to help

please please take target for guard,rev,thief

also depends your team class and role versus the enemy. if your team has more dmg try close-far as you can fast kill far and win it.
if your team has more support try close mid and hold it or also 1 sustain push far not letting the enemy to win the far point easy.

try to out rotate the ele support. unless your team can kill him fast.

target the necro first.

on mid try 2v1v2v1 ( ie 2 allies target 1 enemy and another 2 allies target another enemy. this way you push 2 enemies to use defense utilities. and then target 1 and 4v1 for easy kill and another 1 after. (depends on your team dmg and support versus the enemy)

try not to die, never. (mostly never)

dmg dealer should look for thief,mesmer or rev to push them little bit so they wont have free time killing…

this is very basic as if you fight versus good team they will try to out rotate you and will never let you outnumbered if they dont think they can hold it, so you will see always 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and hardly 3v2 4v3 etc… (thief excluded as +1)

if you see your team have 2 support versus 1 support and 1 dmg try to switch so your team can have the support were needed. dont let ele fight in 1v1 so switch with him …

dont stomp if not needed and let them bleed.

if your team wiped than consider it like the start of the game. dont 3 way split. try steamroll mid or far again 1-4-0 or 1-0-4

This is the build I’m currently using in PvP:

The reasons due I prefer DH + Radiance over Virtues + Zeal are simple: DH provides an F2 with better mobility, damage and root, a cc pull in F1 and (once traited) a 6 seconds block F3. Each block both remove conditions and burn enemies. So I can block 6 seconds with F3, 2 seconds with Shelter (which also triggers both burn damage thanx to the runes and retaliation due Healer’s Retribution), 3 blocks with Shield of Wrath and the still can reset F3 with the elite for another 6 seconds of block.

Leaving DH traitline means losing 12 seconds of block, block cleansing and much utility for my taste. Leaving Radiance means losing a 15% burn bonus damage, plus the burns in blocks. I’m not sure if Permeating Wrath alone balances the lose of damage from blocks, but for sure makes you more vulnerable, and also I find Healer’s Retribution from Radiance stronger than Retaliatory Subconscious from Virtues: last longer, the cd is the same but with HR you known exactly when is going to happen.

i find that DH is more 1v1 trait for burn guard as you lose virtue trait line so in group fight the burns can stacks much faster

also burn every 3 stack compare to 5th attack is less 40% dmg compare to more blocks which you turn on when need to defense. so you basically burst on defense and pock on offense after you use PF and pull

Funny, I recently swapped out Radiance for Zeal as well. Except i went with Retal on Aegis because that can be devastating in a group. It also syncronizes well with Litany. I left Torch for Shield for more Aegis and a knockback.

Blinding Jeopardy isn’t that great. Go Kindled Zeal. With Carrion amulet, you’d be crazy not to. Once you reach a certain might stack the trait will yield more damage than Radiance’s 15% increased burns and way more than blinding jeopardy could ever possibly dish out. Especially if you decide to go Might stacking with Scepter.

with carrion amulet to compare traits
ZC over FW – you will need 5 might stacks to compete with 7% more dmg to burning foe . as your enemy wont be always with burning you lose some 7% in between. so i think ZC is more powerful especially in the opening and in between burst.
WS is nice but i think you have enough retaliation sources and torch is nice aoe burns in team fight

BJ over KZ – 10% more condi dmg is nice but with vulnerability combo you can get 15% or even 19% stacks which means more direct dmg also. dont forget also for your allies. and with blind combo with sword and scepter you can have those also as cover condition

it seem as per now our illusion mostly work as ranger pet combine with guard spirit weapon

the pet is hard to kill while spirit weapon and illusion are easier

the problem is not that illusion die fast rather they are our main dmg source

so anet had a bit of problem
if the illusion become harder to kill mesmer will have usually 3 illusions out which could lead to a passive phantasm build (and we dont want passive)
if the illusions have on death trait whether its boons or soft condition again passive game style
if they buff the mesmer core skills that who needs illusions
also any solutions wont solve the spamm/aoe problem at all cause ppl will continue to spamm (not in 1v1 situation)

you can take lots of idea from the game itself. like guard trap daze/slow now on activation. so illusions when spawn will slow or daze around them (an active not passive)
trait which regen hp to illusions like pets do.
leach life when attack like minions have
buff illusion dmg while destroyed after the attack
maybe even clones (not phantasm) are unkillable but will destroyed after 10 second so more mind tricks.
and many more

i do agree some fight i had 2 afk last season and this seasonbut this is life and i try my best

with soloq after the first fight i see who dies fast and who stay alive and try to +1 and rotate where i think i do best even if its not my role. cause in pugs there is no communication.
so yes most my losses were cause bad roations of my team and being hardly farm in team fight.

play with it and see where YOU can do better and have fun

last season i hardly play and was in emerald. i group up with top players and had much fun and didnt understand why i am emerald. yes most of the time soloq, theorycraft builds and pugs who dont listen

its a hard knock life ….

maybe the personal score can be match to your mmr and not you win rate . kitten far i get 1-4 icons in personal score

At the moment, I can’t run burn burst in Leagues. The build is just too risky compared to power DH.

dont know about it yet but for me its working good atm. 1v1 most wins. i get top state 3 or 4 every game.
and if there is another burn guard just OMG ….

just have to be careful with necro transferring in team fight

but didnt play much yet so fully see it working

i am more theorycraft player so i test lots of build while playing ranked

they just push more ppl to play it so you see more of them

i play it long time ago and here and there and its fun . the main issue is the symbol added to sword and scepter ppl forget to back off from it. and also its more 1v1 build

but regarding mesmer they are as anet state in more delicate state and not good one atm beside portal. so we still gonna see them in esl team but less in other aspects of the game.

they push mesmer to be useful more in the hand of the great players and guard to be much easy learning curve easy going build.

My issue isn’t sustains, it’s that we had a bit too much of it. 560 vita is the sweet spot.

Deadshot is a better amulet than Sage for burn burst guard.

Depends if you take Radiance line or not. With Radiance line and using 1 handed weapons you get free 25% crit chance from that line. Plus pulsing fury from Sword symbol. You really don’t need 1050 precision from Deadshot amulet.

Plus (for me at least) that much precision with no power is not useful for me. With Sage and radiance line your power damage is actually useful,

i use the crit chance for cover condition with scepter with torment and bleed sigils on crits. its nice cover

also its buff the dmg a bit . still carrion yield more total dmg with 1900 power

What keeps burn guardian from really working, aside from the cover condi issue, is its reliance on needing to maximize utility towards burn stacks rather than defense. Meanwhile, other more successful condi classes only need profession mechanics, traits or weapon skills to apply their condis. Take for example condi engi, it only needs pistols, burning ammo and traits. Condi chrono just uses shatters and traits, condi warrior just uses f1 spam and traits. Etc. All these examples save their utility skills for defense.

If condi guard can apply decent burn stacks with just f1, traits and perhaps torch 4, then perhaps it can save utilities for defense too.

mesmer use soi which recharge shatter and mainly distortion F4, blink and portal
warrior has condi resistance skill and no dmg skill
engi got condi cleanse utilities and 2 sec block or shrink

guard has best condi cleanses utilities with hp gain and fury and direct dmg too while his F2 cleanse and heal more F3 block/stability (traited) and amazing elite which recharged them….

Core Burn Guard is looking pretty viable now.

yeah, but is a guardian, easy to beat -.-", people that loose to them are people that dont know the skills.

but now guard have better healing (F2) so the rotations might be easier while the burn stacks are harder. if now i can surprise enemy with 10 burning stacks after patch it can be insane. but yes still some build can counter it or at least not die to it

more condi meta coming in our way …

as anet state ….delicate situation ….
so they bit nerf our sustain while trying to push back the burning guard and condi rev (p/d thief nice change but wont change the d/p 4 years meta)
so we might see bit less mesmer in team form but in top group play portal will be essential
so d/p thief still our main counter and now even more.
maybe we will see conde ranger now but still portal is the winner here….

wish they could buff power mesmer back again like they have done to scepter ele….

there are many good players out there which dont care about esl
esl is also around rotation movement and tactics. not just skill rotations.

i have suggested in past thread that anet will grant some benefit to players who “teach” others
like when playing with low rank players, or voting for 1 player after game ends etc…
those players can get points for title, gold, icon of scholar, armor of scholar and many more to show their prestige
it might push more ppl to share their wisdom around pvp…..

i used a similar build with few adjustment

amulet demloisher
rune of ice
on gs i use sigil of ice

so i lose bit power but i get 7% more direct dmg to chilled foe and 50% chill duration so AA is 3 sec and and sigil of ice proc enable me to prolong the chill even further
so regarding dmg it much higher compare to more toughness (knight) or hp (paladin)

is still very hard in soloq unless you team know necro gonna be focus and help him
is not 1v1 build at all , warrior , thief destroy you with their cc and sustain/evade

the GS must be more faster and also the skills cd bit lower. all classes who got GS has 1.5 sec aa chain while necro got 2.5 AA chain. while warrior , guard, ranger has more sustain then necro and mesmer got good escape ability . and all other classes (beside mesmer and guard) the cd are much shorter with the GS 6/8,10/12,15,20/25
so i give the necro 1.5AA chain, 6,10,20,25 (and than maybe the soul eater trait could be viable and maybe all GS skills should steal some health)
GRAVEDIGGER animation should not be 1.25 sec rather 0.5 sec

just know that with this build the reaper is your escape and sustain. save it for condi bomb or burst as it can buy you couple of second

If you are constantly re-stealthing and attacking you can boonsteal a lot of benefits for yourself. And the boons you want to steal, such as resistance, protection, aegis, quickness, are a huge loss to your opponent as well.

talking pvp were boons can easily reapply. so while you stealth to steal 2 boons or every 20 sec 5 boons you lose the point and not doing much dmg…
if using oh dagger you will lose some ini time to time. so your stealth ability coming from utilities or bound with oh pistol or d/p combo and with reveal gonna be hard for you…

maybe in group play where you are the boons stealer and your team is the dmg

Rending Shade strips resistance easily in combo with bountiful theft.

I’m working on another video now to explain the benefits of Rending Shade for thieves. Basically though, if you watch the video in my signature, it works by stripping boons each time I sneak attack and each time I steal.

I can kill any warrior that over relies on resistance rather quickly.

so you lose deadly arts and poison dmg immobilize weakness etc… just for 2 boons removal when stealth?….

Just a few suggestions as well. They could add tons of amulets that would be used by new builds. I always hoped for a stat allocation tool in pvp instead, like a trait tree, but it places points into stats, so everyone has the same amount, but you can place any ratio in groups of 20 stats. With some preset allocations that they would replace amulets. All stats cap at 1200. But in the meantime, just give us some new amulets! ;P

its more easy if each player could have choose the 4 states with one big NO for two DEFENSEs ability with max points (toughness and vitality)
it will open more build diversity i think

when i try theorycraft i try to think what the enemy team have
so usually i try to build versus
condi or power warrior with resistance – hardest so no 1v1 and team fight try to avoid dmg – thus range with scepter
condi necro – try to burst him first with your team and when you see good amount of burns use los or immunity to he cannot trasfer it back to you
thief – hard one with all the dodge but easy to hold a point mean while with blind and aoe burning
condi mesmer – burst it fast so he shatter defensively and cannot play offense
mender ranger – he will kill you eventually in 1v1 but you can decap his point.
trap guard – can be easy with all your aoes and you can make him pops all his defense. but be careful
engi – can be handled

so base on the comp i will change some trait
if its more group like power warrior thief i will take HC over IT as i want more stability versus less condi cleanse
if there are only 1 condi class HC over IT can do ok but if necro and mesmer together IT is a must

on a down player you can do some mayhem around with fire storm

air give me fury with each aura so my crit chance is 20% higher most of the time.
while i might lose some protection uptime with earth trait line using heal glyph when in earth gives 6 sec protection
i dont use sigent as you need some breakstun

i got weakness with the glyphs so it can be used in each attunement so the trait TA is not needed and you can take IT or HC

i manage to do nice with a thief player as he manage to take the focus off me and we manage to win all our 2v2 and decap points even in 2v3 with his poison field and my aoe’s

but again in soloq or when your team dont know how to support an ele. dont expect much so its very hard to test this build compare to the mender meta

hi after testing dueling and plying several builds for the condi ele i want you to critic this build

idea:
group play – not solo player, although it can handle for several seconds holding a point against several classes till helps comes
it has great aoe persistence so on small cap point it cant be ignored
it doesnt sustain like the shout support ele so it cant “bunker” the same but the dmg it outputs it much greater.

(also works well in wvw group play)

why glyphs?
1. why not it just got buffed so lets test it
2. GoEH – nice heal better than the shout but more selfish. can produce regen to cleanse or protection for 6 sec. at the beginning of the fight cast it on air to gain 20 sec swiftness or in between point to point
3. GoS – very great skill for aoe on point. earth blind and bleed, air pure dmg , fire burning and water amazing chill. chill will let you escape if needed, earth cause blind every sec
4. GoEP- enhance your condi dmg or chill dmg or weakness versus power class. so sute for every situation . and break stun !

condi cleanse with skills and utilities – same as shout every shout is 2 cleanse. but shout is more spammy than glyphs are.

scepter or dagger – scepter give you more range pressure when needed and also 2 condi cleanse with fire and water skills. dagger more fast rotation and control in nature to its melee range and give 1 more aura with air and leap combo but you have more blind abilities in scepter. so both of them are good. because most class have good stability now i find it blind to be much more useful .
both are good and have great combos.

why air attunement?
with earth i will have more protection but i got it with heal when i needed. more condi immune so for sure if the enemy team will be more condi focused i will switch to it
with arcane i will have more block on 75 sec cd and vigor if crit. but with sage only 4% crit chance and aura already give me vigor. but evasive arcane is nice with condi cleanse and bit healing and flame burst mainly with 2 burning stacks.

with air i get more fury so 24% crit chance which is enough to recharge my fresh air
with fresh air i have more chance to use overload for more aoe dmg (combine with glyph air storm) its nice aoe pressure in team fight.
recharge my glyphs and give regen so condi cleanse as i mention. or you can take AT to have 13% crit chance (but use dagger as you will working with fire and air switching)
but the idea is condi and not direct dmg so mainly use for air overload

sigils: in pvp condi duration is not that important (as condi dmg) with all the condi cleanse flying around or block etc…
thus you have several choices as you must also rely on your direct dmg or defenses to pressure your enemy

1. elementalist – enhance power and burning duration and chill duration
2. pack – enhance precision and fury so more often air recharge
3. lyssa – more condi cleanse on elite and precision so more often air recharge
4. Balthazar – more condi dmg and burning duration and burn on heal
5. scavenging – more condi dmg and life steal
6. radiance – use it on fire or earth attunement and you get 4 might stacks/protection and regen, vigor, fury and swiftness for 5 sec and aura are longer for 1 sec and 1800 hp and another condi cleanse (outside water attunement).

downside:
1. no group support with heal skill mainly
2. healing power is less but you have more dps with conditions
3. need support to pill off you the burst if you get focused (same as all pvp ele)
4. hard in soloq

in pvp i dueled sage amulets versus meta thief, ranger, warrior – the worst results. thief with evade and stealth, warrior with almost perma resistance and stability, ranger with good healing and sustain dmg
versus mesmer , rev, engi and necro – semi ok , necro with transfer so should be very careful and mesmer need to watch out his sword swap,

i switch arcane with air to get more benefit from glyphs regen to cleanse more and protection uptime.

still ele is more group play than solo player 1v1 in pvp.

i really try to test the new ele buff with glyps and signet but as you mention above even with sage amulet unplayable

in wvw condi ele is nice thing with it 8k dps on npc and 2-3k dps on players
but still cant play roamer

i still havent give up on warhorn as it has nice combinations with dagger and other utilities

in pvp i find it hard with sage when i focus from thief so 1v1 can be hard time
but in team fight more easy and the burning stack up is nice

in rabid more easy time but still hard for an ele as our burst is not that fast

fyi i am not an ele main but play it some time

in wvw the burning ele shine in team fight and also some duels (probably due to nature those players were worse than me…

ele still lack some survivability and needs more skills with lower activation time like in water attunement
