The funniest thing is GW2 was supposed to be the action based combat mmo but between condis, random procs and Ai it became the most passive mmo combat in existence.
If you read this devs , do something about condis already.I should just go search for a combat mechanics features advertise pre launch to have a good lol moment.They cant because they buffed all anti-condi things including immunities and condi clears to the sky. So any condi nerf needs a reversal of the buffs to things like automated response, zerker stance, diamond skin, null field, etc
Condi should only exist as debuff/control not as a main damage source since as a fore it’s a broken mechanic.Even in other pvp based mmos condis (dots) were never as strong.In AoC a necro with dits needed to channel spells and enter spellweaving(autoimmobilize transfomation with no defense abilities) to kill and even then it took almost 60 seconds.
5 second burst from full hp to dead is beyound any joke especially for an action based.
Keep condis as debuff/minor damage only and buff powerspecs on classes that lack solid ones if you want to ressurect the game especially in spvp where condi beats power 20/1 risk/reward ratio.

a few things important to survive a warrior:
1. dodge
2. use your heals
3. eat foodmost of the time players don’t do 1 – 2.

Wow!! I couldn’t agree with the OP more. I’ve literally been like, “I’m just not going to connect”, and even told people after duels I wish I could hit them! I’ve used superior sigil of hydromancy, but I can’t cover conditions, I’m not in range sometimes, and other times it’s evaded.
Give us easy access soft cc (cripple/chill)!

Really guys a condi war is the easiest class to counter since ages in mmos.They have only 2 skills you need to dodge(or block blind), pindown and impale on 25 and 15 seconds cooldown and if they miss thise they can’t literally do kitten to you.I hate condi wars so i’m not trying to defend them at all but you cannot even compare them to necro, engie, mesmer condi .Idk but i personally find warriors the easiest class to counter by far or might be because i main one myself for so long i know every move they can pull without even thinking.Trust me focus on pindiwn and impale count cd in your headbif you must.Even if you get hit by a full flurry in spvp the damage is really kitten and he sacrifices his combushot forvit wixh is a good thing.
Also don’t pop your condi removal until you get pindowned, have 4, 5 stacks of torment(be patient) up or 2 seconds after flurry started.You will be spared 90% of the damage guaranteed.Reflects and blinds are also a doom for them.

And those that keep placing guard in lower or average tiers i have a word for you too.This is not Obsidian Sanctum dueling area.Having 1 bunker guard in your team against none means 50% more chance to wun the match just for being there.No other class has or ever had such a strong impact on spvp.If your team is not 100% braindead and supports the guardian on cap there is no way you can win the match without one.Even in spiritwatch a guardian with focus is the best clsss you cab have in your team.
Tldr:most guys giving their opinion in here have no clue about what a team nr1 class to have is and just random give ranks to classes who kill them in 1v1.

I am always afraid of eles.Every time i see one in my team i just panic.
Actually guardian has 2 teleports 1 leap 1 pull and even a lot of immobilizes.The only thing is that you have to use your brain while playing a guard and use the skills when needed .If you are a spammer dps guard is not the best choice.
i only know that they joined SFR a long time ago an ruined the whole Server Community.
i never faced them in a blob but in roaming i met some of them and they were not so good.
They are by far not the gods of wvw they are good in gvg yes, they dont care about the server they are playing on.

It is a pity that BULL moved to another game recently. To my knowledge they had beaten Scnd in several of the last encounters and would have been really interesting to watch a fight between RG and BULL.

Last developer stream when they revealed the Mesmer signet, what did they do? Oh, compared it to the warrior Healing Signet! Paraphrasing the developer comments: “It heals for less than the warrior’s signet, but the heal is more to make up for it”.

The 1st thing and most important you fail to understand is that a mesmer is under direct damage 20/100 time in a fight and even then has access to defensive boons while a warrior is 100/100 melting under damage uptime.You can always keep your damage flowing and the target up on a warrior while not so much on a mesmer.That is why a mesmer is undeniably a better pvp class and if the game would have other gametypes and especially duel mode it would completely overshadow every other class.If k/d ratio should be ever taken into account mesmer would win 10-1 against all other classes combined even in the current state.
And no .The main reason i am not a developer is lack in obvious programing skills.And obviously perfect understanding of the bigger picture is not a requirement for being one either with 18 months (a lot more if you consider beta) of history as proof of all that.

Each class has many different mechanics to consider such as armor, health, other skills, etc. It’s apples to oranges because Mesmers are very different than Warriors. Warriors have no clones or access to a low CD invulnerability or teleports, they have to just soak up the punishment.
Yes you can compare the heals. The factors you mention are not relevant (you also failed to mention warriors have access to near-perma swiftness, shield blocks, several types of charges/sprints, more hp and more armor).
There are several passive heals in this game, and NONE of them compare to Healing Signet in terms of its gross healing power. It’s simply broken. In fact, all the other passive heals require some form of active play to receive that heal (even Vampirism requires you to take damage).
What is relevant is how much healing that signet doles out compared to the work required to maintain it.
I don’t understand how pressing a key to heal is considered “skillful” compared to having a passive skill that is made almost worthless but frequent poison application.
No one is arguing pressing a heal as “skillful”. Passive healing is 100% skill*less*. With an active heal with a cooldown, you can interrupt it or coordinate burst while it is on cooldown.
With Healing Signet, you just have to apply massive, continuous damage to get the warrior down to the point where he may pop his heal, and of course hope he just doesn’t run away.

Seriously condition warriors are a bad joke compared to necro or engie.Anyone loosing to a condi warrior especially in this condi spam meta (bcuz no excuse to not gave maximized for condi clear in this meta) should feel terrible about themselves.
If you can’t deal with a condi warrior than what are you going to do against a necro, engie mesmer ranger?
Rampager in pvp is only for real pros.Bads stick to pvt and especially rabid(or dire in wvw).Rampager in spvp is also the only true glass canon amulet since even berserker has some vitality on it.
You can also mix some p/v/c if you feel you have enough crit chance to max more damage.Use a zerker weapon and ruby orbs on your jewels in wvw to have the best of both power and condition combined if you think your skill is enough for playing a low toughness build.
Ok im not annoyed by the amount of them as long as their not on my team.
But theres so many of them that i normally end up with 2-3 on my team and enemy gets something actually useful and then i cant do anything but loose.

Newsflash even if you really like to blame youe loses on enemy tean warriors i’ts just not true.Yesterday my team had 1 terror condibomb necro/2 warriors and 2 guards.Vs some random classes 1 war 1 mesmer zero guards.Map was spirit watch and yet we still managed to lose in a humiliating way.I was bunkering necro plus ele all the match on close yet the rest(2 guards, 1 war and the poor raging necro) failed to even cap 1 point or score 1 single orb even if they were 4 and the enemy only 3.
Bot to mention with the same setup we failed horribly on skyhammer thx to onlt 1 smart engie in the enemy team.Canon destroyed us and you might think is funny that 1 war and 2 guards kept flying down from skyhammer like rain.
I would love to change armor.I other games i played heavy armor classes could wear all from light to heavy.In AoC for example a heavy class could go even for cloth being the lowest in the armor chain( cloth, light, medium, heavy, plate) and you could get some really nice bonuses from it in exchange for being much squishier.That would be such an awesome ideea for gw2 to allow such things by tweaking some stats on various armor types.For exampke link more aurvavibilitity anf vitality to heavier armor and more attack, power on lighter ones instead of having base hp only linked to class.
Thieves initiative system is not at all balanced.They were created in mind that they hav an overall cooldown sharing all their skills but there are a lot of reasons that is simply unbalanced towards other classes.
Nr 1 is that many skills other classes have(thief too) are useless but the thief has the option to trade the cooldown of the bad skill for his good one.Example a warrior using gs nr5 twice in a row and put 100 blades on cd when is needed.It is totally unfair to other classes that only have 1 skill and have to wait to use it again.
A thief can chose to only do a high burst(few heartseekers in a row) if the situation needs it or just play purely defensive applying chain ccImagine a warrior choosing to do 3 final thrusts in a row or 3 shield bashes while putting his other 4 skills on cd?Another class cannot use the burst at will since they have only one or 2 burst skills and usually on long cooldown .Other classes don’t have this choice and it’s even worse that a lot of weapon skills are really bad.
Also their cooldowns(initiative) is not at all affected by chill.The only class getting a free pass from the most powerfull and tactical condition in the game.Why is that ?

Why no one want’s to talk about how thieves get a free pass from poison when every othe class basicly gets it’s rotation or counter destroyed by it for no being applied on initiative gain.
It happens so many times that we sit on a 1 second cd for a gap closer or a block etc and because of chill it becomes a 3 second ending up in a lost fight.Imo it is not fair that an ele can be completely shut down(and i mean it it’s the worst cc/condition in the game imo) and a thief not.
CHill on necro also needs a decrease in uptime especially on signet since the only way to remove it is rune of lyssa or a full condi clear.
Warrior:
Healing Signet Passive: Heal yourself when swapping weapons. 2,000 healing amount with low healing power scale. (Same as the healing amount of the current Healing Signet overtime.)
Healing Signet Active: Increase burst healing amount to 4,500. Medium healing power scale.In this case, if a warrior want to play with healing signet effectively, they will be forced to take Fasthand (Discipline 15), this will stop those braindead spec that breaking the game.
This would force every warrior to spec 15 into the Discipline-Traitline when using Healing-Signet. Your change would make this trait a must-have, otherwise healing-signet will be useless, which is generally never a good solution and just leads to pigeon-holded builds.
Back in the old days the Elementalist had the same issue. He was forced to spec atleast 20 into the Arcana-Traitline, because of the reduced attunement-recharge. Not really a smooth design to be honest.
Every warrior is already forced in 20 defence and 15 discipline.Cleansing ire is the only thing keeping warriors from free kill(and i mean literally) and somewhat viable without healing signet.Before cleansing ire a warrior could be killed by a pistol thief spamming 2 bleeds on him an i mean it literally.The warrior is a very delicate class for change since all it’s dps relies on hard use of utility.If you need to use all that just to remove condition you just have a useless hp bar waiting to go down.On the other hand other classes have good ways to apply dps from either range or with teleport abilities.Pair that with instant casts/no travel time and random procs in comparison with melee,slow and higly telegraphed warrior’s and you have a picture.

Impale is single target and can be removed very easily, if you have half a brain.Zero issues for teamfight hence working as intended.If you die to impale or a condi warrior then you are just bad.

Doesnt matter if you remove it, It re-aplies itself…. and you can either waste all your cures and take only 2k damage or you can let it sit for 10k damage..
As i said already you need half a brain.Make a warrior and test it or think harder.Your answer is not correect since condi from impale can easily be cleared.QQ is easier though i admit so lazy.You are an engie tough egies claimed to be the top players guess that proves spamming is easy on engie too

The warrior package has simply everything for very little effort. And like some said this becomes even stronger when put in a small group fight. Perhaps its not that much but there has to be some adjustment.
And yes their are other very easy builds that could not do so much for so little. Esp AI builds.
And (even if its far from my main) just compare warriors with eles for some games. Just as an example.

41k hp and 4100 armoe is nothing since you have no blocks,no protection and you are vulnerable to all incoming damage and conditions except stun,kb and fear(wich only fear is condi btw).
A guardian can do it minimu 6x times better since protection = 33% more hp regarding dps taken and has zero diminishing returns like armor has,or It just ads itself over the current armor basicly having 7000 ish armor.Guard can condi cleanse while carrying,block/blind and heal like a boss.Rampage is just a strawman practice target with 40k hp really easy to take down in seconds even by only 1 player.Exactly like a bunker guard (<-sarcasm).

I play this tank build second week,did maaaaany match. I wont waste time for type useless post. but with my build + rampage. I walk like a boss. most of tanky builds have about 3500 defence. if u think extra 600 make no sence,you are very wrong.I asking for nerf for my self,sounds stupid,but I want some balance. if I pick up orb,hard to stop me.
Protection is like wearing another 3k armor buddy,especially when you already have high armor.The tankier you are the more protection reduces damage and it does not respond to diminishing returns.You clearly didn’t met a real burst build or a good necro.What are you gonna do against a full condi bomb ?Instead of dying in 4 seconds like a normal hp war you just die in 8 because you can’t cleanse or do anything.Chill and good game.If you really are serious than too bad for you.

Decreased healing signet active heal by 50%.Increased casting time to 1.25 seconds from 1.Animation is more obvious.Passive effect changed from 397hps to 938 every 2seconds. (Think i got this )
Bull’s charge (copy lacernous strike changes logic)
Increased cooldown to 50 seconds.Kb increased to 3 seconds from2.If hits target cooldown changed to 15 seconds.? (Y i definately got how this works thx op)
Combustive shot ( ideea got from pistol whip change in this thread).
Combustive shot radius increased by33%.All andrenaline levels changed to maximum radius of 480.Burning and damage tick every second.Damage normalized to 1k per tick and 6 secobds of burning (8 stacks).If hits a player when landed it also stuns the target for 2 seconds and convert, s all target’s boons into conditions.If target has no boons it will only apply 25 stacks of torment for 18 seconds.
Rifle auto attack.Damage decreased by 60%.
Elite.Signet of rage also gives 33% condition decrese time for 48 seconds.It only gives 4 stacks of might down from 5. Fury replaced with stability and swiftness with protection.Cooldown increased from 60 seconds to 68.
Signet mastery decreases signet cooldown by 28% instead of 20.
