Just waiting on crowfall tbh
Combat system and graphics looks horrible on it too. I mean its still in dev.. But, let’s just dream till we all die
What? Combat system looks fantastic, and well the graphics will improve but it is a kickstarter game so they won’t be AAA.
The nerf to PPK when outnumbered wasn’t enough. You often need 2 or 3 groups on a map just to split up guilds from running together, which causes that buff to disappear.
I’m still waiting to hear on what basis do you claim that PPK is out of balance with PPT.
Quite a few times i have seen Home BL in shambles, EBG down to a keep and a tower, and the other two BLs have almost no presence except for a tower and a couple camps, yet the server still wins the skirmishes with a significant margin through sheer number of kills.
That used to happen before the change to PPT I’d be very surprised if it had happened since then. I would think the only way it could happen now is if no servers had any T2 or T3 objectives, a highly specific circumstance that might only occur at the beginning of reset and therefore hardly a basis for stating that PPK is out of whack.

If Mag actually wanted fights, they would have stayed in T1 instead of tanking.
Uh no, T1 is a fight free zone now which is why Mag wanted out of T1. BG is essentially the old YB now, just ppting and backcapping and hiding behind siege.
What did anyone think was going to happen when Mag decided to exploit the ranking system and tank? Despite any people who left Mag, they still belong in T1.
Mag had a lot of players leave, we are actually a T2 server now. And didn’t HOD beat Mag last week or at least it was very close?
At the moment PPK quite a bit out of balance with PPT.
Based on what?
My guild, its the only reason.
After all the crying and complaining you all did about their last map and begging for the return of alpine, what on earth makes you think they will spend any effort on a new map???
The criticism was valid and a lot of it was given during the beta testing so anet have no-one to blame but themselves.
Revenants are essentially ritualists, the pvp title is even called Champion Ritualist.
well i also dont understand this… the german translation is even worse.
I red it like:If there are stacked classes in your team each player gets less rating for a win and loses more rating for a loss ???? how does this makes sense since stacking is mostly a disadvantage for your team
They count the number of stacked classes from minute 1 to 2 … so the first 2 minutes of the game = the time where u can reroll.
What they may meant is:
- stacking classes in a team reduce Rating variation.
- class stacking is gonna reduced but it’s still possible when there are not enough players available
- stacked classes are count within 2 minutes at the start of a match
“Scoring” in this context is completely unrelated to your rating. It’s a internal metric for comparing potential matchups.
What it seems to be doing is putting increased matchmaker priority on having 5 unique classes, and only expanding to 4 unique classes after 2 minutes.
Thats understandable, why couldn’t they have written that. The patch notes are nonsensical.
The problem here is, anet said that links were a quick easy solution to help with population bleed, but where’s the long term solution? It’s been almost a year, are they even working on a long term solution or are they just waiting for this to completely die? Anet has done next to nothing the past year to help promote wvw and try to get players into it, wvw has been dying a slow death from day one.
Their long term solution was the battlegroup proposal but anet got cold feet.
Because it was a terrible idea that only catered to a specific set of people and didn’t include the majority.
You would say the same thing about any alliance based change proposal, you only think its terrible because you personally don’t want the mode to go in that direction.

Technically Morrowind isn’t a continent, it’s a province on the continent of Tamriel and most of it was already in ESO. What they’re getting is the island of Vvardenfell which is just off the coast of the mainland and tiny in comparison to a continent (especially when so much of it is inaccessible due to the active volcano, crazed vampire lord and assorted curses).
This is not really the salient point of the comparison, which is that zos listen to their players whereas anet don’t, anet always know best (only not).
Which customers do you mean? The OP wants Elona+Cantha; I am not particularly nostalgic about either. I wouldn’t mind them, but I far prefer if we went to new areas in the world that we haven’t seen.
There have been many many posts calling for Elona and Cantha almost since GW2 launched.
Server identity is long gone as an issue. Linking servers was clearly chosen as a way to try and keep server identity but the poor implementation of it led to server identity being destroyed anyway.
I’m hoping the xpac will overhaul WvW along the lines of the battlegroup proposal, cause WvW is dying now and will surely be completely dead without that sort of overhaul.

2 months is way too long as many of us said at the time, it should be 1 month, anet should have prioritised automating the process so it could be done quickly but they didn’t.
Again, box sales are lacking; Gem Store sales are relatively even.
AFAIK they stated that in the financial reports for the quarter when HOT launched in Q4 of 2015. I can’t recall a statement to that effect for the most recent reports.

Cause conquest is stale, I want more game modes and not experimental modes lifted from mobas like stronghold. Implement tried and true modes from other games. Better balance would also help but its not enough to get me pvping again by itself.
Revert Ascended Shards of Glory rate to how they were. Lower the number of marks needed to craft ascended armor and weapons to 1.
This would raise the pop, although its arguable by how much, but it would hide the true problems with pvp.
Because the last time they added new content to WvW, people lost their fricken minds and moaned and groaned for weeks… I think they learned their lesson.
People complained because what was added was objectively terrible.
GW2 will not be able to pull the players it used to have back. Let along pull competitive players from the relevant PvP games on the market. Simply put, you are not going to be able to pull players into a sub par at best game, when much better games in that area, are already on the market. Only thing left for ANet to do is to pull in all of the non competitive PvP outcasts from these other PvP games. The outcasts that either got banned for cheating. Or can’t be asked to learn to play in a video game. Meaning GW2’s Population problems can only be solve at this point, by making the game even dumber, and non competitive then it is now. Yes it is possible. I’m sure ANet can and will find a way. I believe ANet can make GW2 great again!
I know its almost certain the population can’t be increased significantly now, the game is in a spiral downwards in its competitive modes, I was just saying or implying that MMR can’t overcome a small population at least not without queue times blowing out.
Gw2 is a pve designed ONLY game, anything put in pvp context is gona end borked up.
Disagree with that, spvp esports was a big part of the initial push for the game and WvW was clearly a major part of endgame in the design phase. That emphasis changed once Colin was made Lead Producer around the time of the launch.
I kind of think that it should be mandatory for every single server to have an ANet employee playing WvW for them at least 10 hours a week.
The WvW team rotate through the servers each week. The employees you see repping the anet guild are likely to be just staff playing in their spare time who can choose any server they like.
There is undoubtedly an issue with population which exacerbates MMR differences. The population is the main culprit and what anet should do is get players back to pvp if possible.
3pm Monday and still down.
The API server is down until tomorrow, no APIs are working across the game.
Thx Anet WvW TEAM <3
NA top one tier awsome now
no kidding BG dont need to run away and get farmed by MAG anymore.
You know, this is some funny kitten.
You left Tier 1 because you “claimed” you wanted fights. So ANET pushed you all the way down to Tier 3 where you’re currently blowing out DB and YB (and it’s only Saturday) to the point where they’ll soon be instituting a boycott of their own, leaving you no one to fight.
You can’t make this stuff up. :-D
How is Mag rolling T3 the fault of Mag?
I, for one, plan to keep having fun in WvW for what it is – the best existing large-scale PvP game on the market. I’ll buy the expansion, too. Hopefully, Camelot Unchained won’t be far off at that point.
Except its not the best.
Why should they fix this when it’s a result of players on the other two teams choosing to do nothing about it?
TC are playing they just don;t have many players.
I have been gathering maguuma tears all week long, anyone knows how many tears are required to craft the Beast-Gate?
What tears? Mag has boycotted the game for the past 2 weeks.
Since they increased the PPT for ugraded objectives PPK has been a minor part of the overall warscore.
Only decent place to play RvR. As soon as a better one comes along, I am gone.
ESO is decent.
We have temporarily disabled the acquisition and use of the Siege Disabler item in order to correct a bug related to the item. We will re-enable the item as soon as the bug has been corrected.
Where was the official notification? No patch notes nothing.
Dare I say it, anet lost their way when they turned their back on the manifesto.
Cause there are not enough players.
As an update,
I’ve gotten my second armor box drop since the ending of season 5.
Those super rare drops…
As an update I still haven’t gotten an armor or weapon box drop, none for at least 7 months. Don’t see why its apparently so hard to understand that you may have been lucky and that clearly other peoples experiences are quite different.
Conditions were never meant to be stronger than power damage.
Lol really?
Hope you’re joking.
There are 2 different DPS types in the game. Power and Conditions. Both are meant to kill at the same rate. Just different applications.
They aren’t meant to kill at the same rate. Condis are attritional, its why a lot of condi gear stacks defensive attributes, so they can survive long enough for the condis to work.
I don’t believe this is the case any longer. Conditions have been buffed to the point that a well used condition bomb can down a class or nearly so in a few seconds tops. This is especially true in WvW where confusion uses the PvE damage formula.
Thats poor balancing though. If they truly want condis to kill as quick as power then they need to completely redo all their armor and weapon stat combos.
it wasn’t “stealth nerfed”. its right there in the patch notes. stupid clickbait.
It was added to the notes after they were released. It was not initially in them.

To be honest, you might want to spend some time learning your preferred profession a bit better before moving on to HoT. The content in the core game doesnt really teach you much about playing well. HoT is supposed to be more challenging for play by those who have a better handle on their characters.
If 80 levels doesn’t teach you how to play your class properly then ‘Houston we have a problem’!

And this change wasn’t original in the patch notes because WvW changes don’t matter, amirite.
And see, you make a very good point. Time savings is very different, indeed, than having a combat advantage. I’m with you on the CPS situation — I thought my hand was going to fall off with the titles I got. I can’t say “go ahead” for the use of any third-party program, but we did expand the official messaging for clarity, which may address the differences here.
How about a comment on the OPs original point about the ridiculousness of the loot structures. Its beyond a joke at this point.
In two months, or two server re-links, you will finally settle according to your “activity” level.
It doesn’t help TC when they have BG artificially propping them up, as is happening ATM.
Mag only helped transfer 1 PPT guild that was DOC, any other guild that mag help with transfers came to the server exclusively for fights. Several guilds did leave the server for reasons basically that they were not competitive in 20-25 or really competitive enough for T1 they were casual ppt guilds and they went to SBI.
This happened a couple months ago it had zero impact on the server.
You’re forgetting the OCX/SEA guilds which is what Mag had been lacking and is the reason they were able to push up and be successful in tier 1.
You’re implying the ocx guilds were paid? I can confirm that SoX were not paid at all, we funded our transfer ourselves.
BG wants to stay the top server, even if it means stacking to no end and beating up 2 dead servers, like being number one means anything these days. t to see how badly, but
BG are pathetic, trying to prop TC up, Mag just refuses to play their game.
Well TC can blame BG cause they are not hitting anything of TCs this week.
1. Implement the battlegroup proposal that has been floated on these forums previously.
2. Reduce siege caps, reduce siege power against players.
