Is it only me that took pride in being good with the warrior back in the day? I mean when all you could do was go full out damage and hope that you could kill your opponent before you died. I don’t like being called OP whenever I kill someone. I’d rather play an underpowered class.

Let me see if I can help you figure out the difference between framerate and “lag” (there are different kinds of lag, frame lag, network lag/latency, mouse lag, etc etc).
Are you saying that you get great performance, but you see people rubberbanding, or it takes a second or so for a skill to register and activate when you press it?
If that’s the case, neither has anything to do with the other. If your frame counter says you’re getting 90+ FPS but everything is choppy, that’s frame lag, and either your FPS counter is displaying the wrong frame information or there’s something else going on there that I can’t figure out.

Hammer is a power based weapon, and putting merciless hammer in strength will result in great synergy.
As a master trait, I would expect to it to be moved to the master tier of strength. If that happens, with six points in strength, you’ll be able to get Merciless hammer + Berserker’s Power. Add sigils of impact and force, and you could reach +50% damage on hammer skills provided you have full adrenaline and your enemy is knocked down. Plus, you could still add runes of the scholar for + 10% more damage.
Can you imagine +60% damage earthshaker? or 3k auto attacks with zerk gear?
Personally, I’m for this suggestion. Zerk hammer warriors would rise again!

these days you get so much condi damage from passive/sigil/traits whatever.. some classes hit you once!! and you instant got:

3+ confusion
3+ torment
Poison
Long duration of blind..
Thats happens on start!! and your already kittened because they keep spamming this on you.
Atleast power burst is something you can see coming or can counter.. conditions is just a passive crap and often from save distance.

Thats the reason most warrior use longbow.. else everyone will use hammer or some other CC weapon.. if you nerf this on longbow we could also remove the weapon from warr because there is just no reason.. besides condi users ofc.

Longbow f1 is indeed a bit to good. It does damage and is a guaranteed CI proc.
Yeah my Autoattack is also to good… it does damage and builds adrenaline.

yes, and lets replace it with the new brawler’s recovery. Also, let move banner regen to master tier, and fast hands to adept tier. Oh, and while we’re at it, lets replace the regen on banner from trait with condi cleanse every 3 seconds.

If you think about it it issnt crazy… GS/lb doesnt have the sustain like Hambow if you want GS to do more damage.. so you lose some sustain.. this issnt the point for Hammer. Hammer can go full defensive by traits and still get the Damage trait.

You my dear OP need a dictionary. You appear to have no idea what the word “force” means. They do not force you to do anything.
They may overly incentivise you to take it over other options for most situations, but to claim they “force” you to do anything is a bit insulting.

not a silly game, why even play GW2? you can play tons of that cheap game everywhere..
More like 90% of warriors are afraid to move away from the easy to play builds. There are viable alternatives, you just aren’t comfortable stepping outside your face-roll zone. I don’t even use shouts+soldier runes or CI and my warrior build brushes conditions off like its nothing. Swap a few things around and I could make it an offense build I just don’t play my warrior much anymore because of my disgust towards it’s design.
There are other builds that works great.. i dont say i am using hambow.
But hambow gives the most to your group…
Condibunker/shout healing doesnt bring much into the group..
Axe-X/longbow aint bringing much to the team..

I am kinda sick that Anet keeps nerfing warrior but it only hurst different builds.
Where hambow always keeps very strong and doesnt get hit by these nerfs.
Moving Merciless Hammer to Strength traitline will slighty nerf there dmg. forcing them to either go more defensive or offensive..
Maby this way we can see some other buffs or something in return making different build more viable also..
Like GS is still very weak.. why? well you atleast need 20 traits into different traitline to make it viable.. and this weapon doesnt benefit from sigils like intteligence.

I still think its because of this Hambow build we see so many nerfs, but it only hits other builds and not hambow.
The more nerfs warr get the more we are pushed into hambow.
Why?
Well warriors need CI and soon Burst mastery is more needed then before.
+ these traitlines gives:
Adrenaline health
Adrenaline on weapon swap
Fast hands
All traits that are kinda must have for warrior..
And triple stances skills are still the best skills for pvp.
only 1 weapon set benefit the most out of these traitlines/skill
And thats hambow.
This is why:
Hammer is also in defensive tree…
(where for GS you need atleast 4 traits into a different traitline to make it somewhat viable..)
Longbow doesnt need a trait to be viable
You dont need precision because hammer is just about 3x chainstun that benefit the most with sigil of intelligence..
And because the stunchain from hammer you also dont need a CC skill so you have room left for triple stance..
Where different weapons often need something like bulls charge to setup a burst.
Both weapons are Aoe burst attacks.
And only Hammer and longbow can stack might that fast
Maby its just me.. but i think Anet should move hammer trait to strength or something.. so they make hambow slightly less viable.
Because all they do now is nerfing other warrior builds.. the nerfs that are coming and from the past almost never hit hambow but it does hit allot of other builds all the time.

Getting kittened for 2sec long and not hitting anything, where you do get hit gets kinda annoying..
Yes. It is not performing. Rush at 1200 units carries a 100% miss rate, even though it is in range and target is still. Whirlwind attack often fails to strike hit 2-3-4 and when range indicator clearly shows it is in range at 600 units, it will miss all strikes. It is also prone to terrain fail. It fails to achieve it’s maximum range and is halved by inclines. So yeah, it fails to perform as listed. If this doesn’t answer your question then you’re playing some sort of naive card. When it doesn’t strike when in range, when it fails to hit the listed 4 times at point blank range and fails as movement skill if there is a gentle incline, then yeah..that a weapon failing to live up to its description.
Rush carries a 100% missrate? Your whirlwind misses all the time and gets bugged in the terrain? You must really be the only one having problems with this.
1. Rush can be evaded. Rush does pretty high damage for the mobility it grants, thus the animation is pretty obvious and can be evaded easily.
Rush will never carry you 300 units away from your target, unless the target is moving very fast or is teleporting.2. When you perform Whirlwind, your character spins and your sword has to hit the enemy to deal damage. So if your target stands to your left and your character spins anticlockwise, then yes, your Whirlwind won’t hit him. And that’s your fault.
3. Whirlwind bugs into the terrain? Never happend to me, unless I tried to spin over an obstacle. Also, you should try Point Blank Shot. At uneven terrain, that skill bugs out more often than not.
At last, let me tell you that it doesn’t look very smart of you judging my skills without even seeing me once.
The only problems I can see is that the pathing of Rush could be improved and that Whirlwind behaves rather strange under the effect of Quickness.
Or if fixing Rush is so difficult, they could just change the skill into an ability where the dmg is front loaded at the point of contact. Like charge, but change the vertical slash into a horizontal slash (on contact) or get rid of the swing animation all together.
Indeed… getting tired of the slow end animation where people just walk 2 steps to the left and you already miss.

The gear is ugly.
Huge gap between legs and boots from behind.
Shoulders are lame.
Chest have to many stripes what makes the details hard to see and looks weird from distant.
And the pants cloth part (banner thing) only looks nice on female human.. (you should check this on charr.. Haha soo ugly)

They already nerfed combu shot twice…
The ticks are so slow you could walk over and get zero damage. That why its so big.
If it was made smaller (they did on lvl 2) they also should increase the ticks again.
And for the record, its a burst attack.. And you compare it to a normal attack..

Its much better to go for -20% cd on gs..
and it gives you more precision [10%]and another 10% for burst attack.. That would do nice witth the new gs burst.
+ arms also gives condi damage for an extra on longbow

I think F1 mace will do just fine just like now…
with mace you can land a daze first or maby use shield bash > F1… with that i dont see any problems.
Mace F1 is still fast enough to land its 3+sec stun when bashing/dazing first
Before you could just instant stun someone without a proper setup like shield bash > F1..
Thats why they changed it… and this adrenaline doesnt change it.. it affect all warr weapons (beside longbow i guess but thats also a different skill)
Warrior is my main and i never have problems landing a mace F1 with shield..
Same for Axe… and sword > leap > shield bash > F1..
There are tons of ways to land it.

I run into pvp so many times wondering why i do so bad, finding out my gear is broken (from wvw or whatever) and ofc no repair againt in pvp.
its a buff for me, all of my builds are very crit oriented so i usually pile in signets and run with deep strike i have SoR just for the extra precision and passive adrenaline and i never click it, so woo!
thats very weird… a warrior that never use his SoR?? you do know you get way more from using it vs deep strike.
That trait is so bad.
Its not the same as the passive effect like retaliation.
Where does is say it stilll apply on evade? because even wiki doesnt say it still apply on evade..

The effect triggers when a clone stops existing through any means other than a shatter skill.
You could always swap it (25/50/75 instead of 75/50/25) and leave the high crit chance as the buff duration would likely limit your chances of getting that third hit off unless you use all 3 attacks on your auto swings.
That said, it will be a tough pill to swallow because my Ranger kitten near relies on this rune to kill anything in melee range because of how poorly designed the class is :/
there are multiple ways to rebalance this sigil ofc :-)
This would indeed hurt some builds really hard, but thats the point.
Your class shouldnt be relying on this sigil like you are saying.. thats a problem they should fix ofc for you class.
But some classes dont really need this sigil, but IF they do they can just drop precision and stack defensive..
Now this issnt for every class and weapon ofc, more on burst attack weapons.
With this they atleast benefit from precision..
Also this need some tweaking because with fury they still have almost 3x guarantee crits..
Maby make it 60%/40%/20%
With fury and ZERO precision you still have:
80%/60%/40% crit chance
And with lets say 20% base crit chance and fury you have:
100%/80%/60% crit chance
And someone who does invest into precision you often have around 50% base crit.. that would be
100% / 100% / 90% crit without fury! ..

When i use Whirlwind attack from my Greatsword warrior onto your clones, i still get detstroyed conditions.
Now this is ofc the way it should be, BUT whirlwind attack is an EVADE attack.. why do i still get conditions when evading?
i cant findout why this happens.
Intel sigil from:
3 × 100% crit chance
to
first hit +75% crit chance
second hit + 50% crit chance
third hit + 25% crit chance
Now classes can build full defensive and just completely ignore the stat precision.
Even with this you can ignore the stat precision.. BUT it wouldnt give you a guarantee 3x 100% crit chance anymore.
Make max. stacks of might and sigil bonus (bloodlust etc):
15 in pvp
20 in wvw
25 in pve
This would solve some problems like the unbalanced celestial classes with allot of sustain AND allot of damage. (can be power or condi)
Maby tweak some more.. but the idea is that you can buff your stats, but not THAT much.. now those builds rely so much on these stacking system they can swap to much offensive stats to defensive.

Additionally, you can add in Crit-heal food for almost 700 hp/sec.
Are we playing the same game? 700 hp/sec? This is the reason some people shouldn’t be posting at all.
Have you looked at what the on-crit foods do? Just those and Healing Signet are very much capable of 700 HP/sec. With 0 Healing Power, you can easily get 687 healing/second. 200 healing power from traits and you’re at 707 HP/sec. Factor in Adrenal health and you’re looking at a very impressive 934 HP/sec at just 200 healing power.
LOL first healing trait (Adrenaline Health)is every 3 secs full heal (351 hp)with full adrenaline,
second: have you ever used crit healing foodafter nerf? I think not.
third: Dogged March is a 3 sec regeneration of a 390 heal total 10 sec CD.
Get your facts together before posting.I did make a small mistake. Somehow I got an extra 110 HP/Sec in my equation (which fits nowhere, so it’s a mystery to me).
Healing Signet at 200 HP: 372 HP/sec
Life steal food: 325 health/sec max (assuming 1 proc/second, not unlikely)
Adrenal Health at 200 HP: 127 HP/sec
372+325+127= 824.Still extremely respectable. More Healing Power can crank that up significantly and you still don’t have the Regeneration boon.

New Arcing Slice can deal ~86% of the damage of a full channel Hundred Blades in one hit, and also does it in an AoE around you. That’s a really hefty hit.
The damage nerf of 40% of one (non-final) hit on Hundred Blades and a 5% hit on whirlwind Attack are probably entirely justified.
Uuh arcing slice is not even close to 50% damage of 100b.. And thats when target is also below 50% health!! above that this skill is just a 1,kitten from AA..
Before arcing slice sucks and now it can be decent.. Still no reason, ZERO reasons tho compensate it in 100b and whirlwind.!
They just needed to nerf some more i guess

Why does this weapon need a dmg nerf?
The weapon is already under used in pvp because landing a full 100b is never possible and you have to use some diff skill/weapon to even land some of the hits..
Only the final strike is the same but again you never hit the final strike.
whirlwind dmg nerf… Why? Really dont know why because the damage wassnt high on moving targets.. Real players are not like mobs standing at a wall.. So you can even hit more then 2 hits from whirlwind
And all that for the arcing slice buff?
Damage above 50% is still crap!! And i hate the 50% trigger system. Cant even see if its really 50%
Just like final strike you often just waste your time and now also adrenaline. I dont think this skill buff need tho nerf the dmg on other skill.
If anything i was thinking a dmg nerf on evi or hammer… Not Gs!
Well i am a warrior since day one, and i do think they should reduce its dmg from Evi.
Its mostly the combination of Axe + intel runes + celestial amu + strength runes + burst mastery..
Now nerfing one of those would nerf allot more builds. so its more logical to nerf the dmg on Evi.
What i hate most is berserker/celestial warrs still does ALLOT of dmg from impale, that skill should apply the stacks right from the start so you CAN cleanse it.. now you have to wait before it can be removed..
Or they have to increase the cooldown of that skill.
I dont hope we only get nerfs..
