Anet just can’t win with the dailies, if there are too many dailies you have people complaining that they HAVE to spend 4 hours every day just finishing all the dailies. These new dailies you can still get your 5/5 in 15 minutes most of the time and you can finish all 10 in an hour so I think they will keep this system. At worst PvPers have to spend 5 minutes in PvE chopping a few trees if they want their daily.

But too many dailies isn’t an issue now, since, AT THE SAME TIME that they cut back on types of dailies, they also capped the AP you can get from doing them. So, this move REALLY REALLY makes no sense and limits people because now they may feel forced to do something they don’t enjoy just to get the laurel. ANet has done a 180 on the dailies. Simple as that. It would be super appreciated for an ANet person to comment on whether or not they would consider changing it back.

Ascii hasn’t ran with us since we transferred, I think he still might be on SoR. Although I am not at liberty to discuss TW builds, the condi build is too easy to cleanse in zerg fights / gvg that I personally never use it and I don’t think any of our other necros do either.

Still viable? If you liked it before I think you will still like it.

So can you suggest something that would be more viable/better? I’m at a loss as to what would be a good WvW zerg/group build for my necro.

Well here’s a case of not everyone playing the same. I don’t do dungeons because I can’t be “stuck” at my computer playing the game. Sometimes, real life happens.

Let’s not get into a whole discussion on how to make gold in the game. That’s not the point of the thread.

Ok… extractor works. I don’t care about cost. BL kit works. You have to pay for that too unless you got for free from dailies or whatever. Just go buy new runes.

Bad idea. A rune is 9g, an extractor is more than 20g.

I don’t use in-game gold to buy gems, so zero gold. I was merely stating that this is a way to get the runes out that works. If you want free options, that’s another matter all together. And 6 runes = 60g in game, which will just take forever now to get since nerfs.

You need to submit a ticket. Then they evaluate and you should get your refund. I sent in my ticket this morning. I purchased 2 of the phalanx heavy sets.

Rose Aimee Crouzet just had to get the new strider armor. Mixed with a bit of noble gear.

Sorry atse, this can’t work because the “price” is set by the community. So, say I have a relatively “cheap” legendary. I could maybe buy up all of that type and post it now at highest “price”. ANet doesn’t set the price. These aren’t gem store items. Not gonna work. Also, this topic has been beat to death already.

I agree that this is not a good change. I don’t see why there should be less choice, especially with the new cap in place on AP from daily and monthly achievements. Some things about this update are just frustrating and serve no useful/good purpose.

Fish, kodan and norn are now events, so I imagine there will be karma for those.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that refunds would be by May 11, but for the life of me I can’t recall where I saw it. Anyway, do give it time. It’s been less than 24 hours, and they have millions of players. Relax man

I like the light and heavy armors, and I LOVE LOVE the medium. I had just over 900 gems left in my stash and spent 800 on the medium for my thief. In my opinion it is by far the best medium female armor in the game.

So I was running Ascii’s wellomancer build in WvW for zerging, groups, but I don’t think Ascii posts on here any more. Is there anything I should be changing in that build? I haven’t tried using the existing one in WvW yet, so I’m not sure what the effects of changes might be.

Probably will play the same amount but what I do will change. I may try the new champ rotation as posted by another player, but mostly I still want to get my meta for the WvW season, so I’ll be concentrating on that. I used to do the FGS champ train on Saturday/Sunday mornings while I had my coffee. Now… not sure what I’ll do to fill that time. I don’t do dungeons much because I find that having to be relied on for “x” amount of time doesn’t work for me due to RL interrruptions. I guess it’s a good time to try out some PvP.

Ya, I found this confusing at first too. It seems you always start out in the Wardrobe section. You have to click into the Equipment section. That’s where you can also actually change your armor and weapons WITHOUT a transmute charge, since you still have specific sets of armor in your inventory for each character. At first I thought I had to “pay” to even switch armor and weapons!

been hearing of people scamming (get the money close the instance) and honestly i’d bet that a good percent of them have exploited thier way to the finish to save money (NOT SAYING EVERYONE DOES IT), when some1 claims the run was “legit” it just raises the question since its easy to say that it was.

On the other hand, since Jerus has been kind enough to explain everything I think I would trust him over some LFG person or someone spamming in map chat. I would risk the gold once. If I got ripped off, well, I think I can live without Arah stuff.

I have one question for ANet… since it seems the devs are pushing everyone to TP flipping as the ONLY real source of in-game cash, who exactly is going to be out in the world actually collecting the stuff to sell?

Same reason the frost gorge train was nerfed, Anet wants you buying gold with your credit card, not earning it in-game.

root … got to the root of it. I can only assume this is true, as now there is literally no decent way to make in-game gold. Oh well.

ANet, just so you know, I will probably now spend less on gems as I’m quite disappointed with all the nerfs included in this QoL patch. And believe me, I spent a lot. Ah well, more time for WvW. I guess I can’t feel too bad as I have all my toons at 80 and fully geared. I feel bad for anyone coming into the game.

You can buy a new helm off the trading post, or you can get some armor from heart vendors after you’ve finished a heart quest. You can also craft armor. Later on, once you’ve hit level 80, you can buy high level armor from vendors in Orr, or you can run dungeons for tokens to trade in on armor and weapons. You can get different armor by joining one of the orders (Whispers, etc). You can also get armor from world vs world vendors using badges of honor or karma.

Oh ya, didn’t think to say i’m on a NA server. One of these days I’d like to try doing a few more dungeons myself. If they all took 15 minutes that would be great, but I get they have to have the harder content for the non-casuals.

What does this mean? I’ve done some dungeons but just a few different ones, and I’ve never attempted Arah. This is mostly because I am not able to commit to sitting at my computer for an hour or more, so I won’t get into a group only to have to leave part way through.

If I “buy” Arah, what is involved? What is my part in it? What is the seller’s responsibility? Do people buy it just for tokens, or for achievements of some sort?

Lightning Flash works for ele, so maybe rifle 5 or Rocket Boots would work for engi – my engi’s still low level, so I haven’t tried.

I thought I was the only one that had this problem. I’ve asked around and no one else seems to get stuck in siege when it’s built. Easy to remedy on my mesmer and ele, but didn’t realize weapon switching worked. I’ve just been spamming WASD until I get unstuck on necro. Swapping weapons will be easier.

I was on my necro the first time this happened to me, and I had no idea about weapon swap. I was stuck and a zerg came rushing in and I died and ended up res’ing in Lions Arch, so I lost my spot in WvW. I was furious and stayed away from WvW for about a month after that. ANet, really, fix it.

+1 from me also. I really like this, though the colors would definitely need some thought, since 3 at least look the same.

You’ll be fine to get the achievements. Personally, I’m having to work 60 hours a week until April 30th, and I have still managed to get 5 of the 10 achievements so far, only a few weeks in. I’m so, so thankful to ANet that they reconsidered and changed the requirements on the tournament. For season 1 I just gave up in a week because I cannot play this game 24/7.

Ya Op this happens to me a lot too. Easy to say swap weapons but how about ANet actually fixes it instead?

Nice! Great use of the Zodiac armor. I may have to change my warrior’s look and pick up some Aetherblade pieces.

I agree totally. Poor loot in WvW means every weekend I spend morning in Frostgorge, so that I can AFFORD to play WvW and still do some other stuff (craft ascended, buy skins, etc). I would really love to see some good rewards for this. I think if it “paid” as well as PvE I would be playing WvW exclusively.

ETA: ya, “loot bags”… subjective. I usually get 2 silk scraps or a fang in those. Otherwise, 90% of the time I get barbs. Thank you so much for vendor trash garbage ANet for going to war for my server.

LOL @ the fact that ANet seems “unable” to fix something so terribly askew. And honestly, did anyone think about these before they were implemented? A robot playing WvW 24/7 would take about 15 years to complete these. I’m truly all for a challenge, but … no.

On a side note, I notice ANet tries so hard to get PvE players into WvW (i.e. must have WvW maps in world completion, puts WvW AP in daily). Yet, here is a great way to get them there, for long periods of time, and they just keep ignoring it. PvE’ers love AP.

Also, it would be really awesome to actually reward people who play WvW for a change.

The major cities such as Divinity’s Reach are still good places to go. Also Vigil Keep waypoint.

Well what I’m looking for is seeing them with different types of armor. I have previewed it with the armors I have, but I don’t really like the looks with what I have. I was hoping for ideas so I might transmute my armor to something different.

Definitely do no agree that AP relates to player ability, especially in dungeons. I have almost 7k AP and I rarely do dungeons. While I could probably hold my own because I know the class I play, my AP does not in any way tell anyone about how good of a player I am in relation to running a dungeon. Period. However, if someone makes a LFG request with those requirements, they’re free to do so, and you’re free not to join even if you meet the requirement.

Hi everyone, I just made the dynamic tempered spinal blades but I can’t decide which of my characters to use it on. I have a mesmer, warrior, guardian and thief. They all look really different and I can’t decide what would be a great look to go with the blades. Can you all post pics of your characters wearing the blades so I can see some different options?
