Well as I said watch that stream that guys land the dragon tooth + phoenix combo after the updraft if his opponent doesn’t have stability…..

Scepter I enjoyed a lot but it’s near worthless in PvP because you simply can’t deliver its burst reliably enough,

You can’t deliver a burst with S/D????

you can’t deliver burst 10/0/30/30 cookie cutter Cantrip build, switch to Arcana spells go little bit deeper into the air and tell that sentence again….

Neee, double Eles will continue and Guardians can’t replace them because they don’t have that sort of mobility…

People using the double Ele’ really creatively…..

They are sending one to other teams node, harass the defender there and if he goes low, they call the other Ele to attack the node, which has at that moment a half or less health defender…..

Other Ele was allready to full health whilehe is underway to middle node fight….

If you send an extra defender to ur node, then you fight to 4-3 in middle node, it is a win win in any case….

This Nerfs didn’t changes anything about this….

That air spell I have a feeling much less radius then 240 I think, I can barely land anybody….or buggy I don’t know…..

That I don’t understand, out of 4 attunement only 2 spell is usefull from EAWater because of healing/condition removal and earth because of the blast finisher, air and fire spells are mehhhh.

Ok, I always go 30 in arcana for boon duration and CD reduction and only EA is usefull to take there but if there will be better choice to take I will definetly take that (I don’t use Arcane Spells so XII is also really useless)

So 2 spells that I can use in 10s CD, only big fuzz about it is lets say you HP pool is 18K and u are reduced to 3-4 K health, switching to Water, using one cantrip, all water Water 5, 2, 1, EA roll plus healing from Signet of Restoration will bring you back to 18K there is no other class can do this and you can do this every 10s I guess that is part they had to nerf not the RTL because Warrior and Thief has the same mobility nearly in the same CD….

Hi guys,

I played my share of thief also but after sometime it becomes boring and I left it….

But lately I am coming across a build type that I can identify, a thief going all time in out of stealth to my knowledge there are 4 way to go into the stealth…

Cloak&Dagger, Hide In Shadows, Shadow Step, Shadow Refuge and I think they are D/D thief and not D/P that is not Black Powder and Heartseaker inside of it……and it is not stealth stacking, they are just go in out of stealth all the time….

I don’t think they can spam Cloack&Dagger all the time because of the high initiative cost so I can’t figure out the build…..

I normally watch streams to figure what the classes are doing but because Thief Skills has no cooldown most of the time I can’t figure out which combos they are using….

Any tips????

Alternative Builds

Hi guys,

because of the possible nerf that will come to 0/10/0/30/30 I was trying to figure out some alternative builds…..I use the 0/10/0/30/30 for Staff and Dagger (with different traits but numbers stays same)….

Here is the challenge I have, I am nearly forced to take 30 in Arcana mainly because the attunement swap and boon duration and has to go 30 in Water otherwise we are too squishy that mean practically for an alternative build I have 10 points to move, I can’t get out of this vicious cycle….

So I am hoping the following changes with the nerfes, what are you think about it.

I think I will not be able to sacrifice 30 in Water so I guess the changes should come from Arcana…instead of going deep in Arcana reducing the attunement switch cooldown, attunement cooldown for specific tree should be decided on how deep we are going into the attunements tree…

For ex, I choose to go 30 deep in the Water then attunement switch CD must 5s for Water but stays 13s for Air/Earth/Fire

If you invest to Arcana it can still get global reduction (may be not in todays levels like 0.5 s or so)

Which will diversify the play style also, not having linear attunement bonuses, for ex do u really like to go high in Air ok, you got 5 CD but no points in Earth then you got the 13s CD, it will be much more strategical instead of key bashing….

Now if they give such an attribute to attunement tree what will happen to Power/Crit/Crit Dam/Cond/Vit/Toughness adjustments I don’t knowbut that something ANet must figure out….

And one more point, it should be possible to play Condition Damage builds in Ele, at the moment that means staying only in Earth Attunement which is against the whole logic of playing Elementalist, there must be viable way to cause conditions in all trees, so Water should cause bleeds, Fire should have smoke poisining, something like that…..

And please give us an option to drop a conjure weapon that has still charge and pick up later while it has still charge, I really like some conjure weapon but I can dedicate an utility slot to them while I have to drop them while they have still 8-9 charges…..

It must be possible to pick them up again if they have charges….

The problem is slowing down doesn’t help….

For AC Exp path 2 I guess, where u have to repair this cannons and u have a Necro, Ele and 2 Melee Warrior as mobs….

So Necro must die first so everybody single DPSing Necro, now as I said, I have no single DPS and anything that I shoot goes AOE and then I tag the warriors…..

Now the warriors coming after me, I can run as far as I want, stop DPSing, but until Necro dies and our people start DPSing the warrior they will stick to me like pest….

I am light armor guy, a caster, who has to tank 2 warriors until the Necro and Ele dies, I mean it is PUG group problem, in a guild and voice comm I can say take them over me but in a PUG I have to tank them and it happens all the time….

I mean as I said, I can stop DPSing and just heal but they need my DPS also….

I have Power/Crit Damage, I gone for Toughness/Vitality also but then I can barely deal any damage and that places the group in a bad position if we have to destroy things that spawns things…. (mainly AC burrows….)

With T/V our DPS goes too low then we have 100 mobs around us….

I read that already but keeping my max distance is not really helping me dropping aggro, I think there must be really an active way to drop aggro (or reduced at least ) or taunting…..

I mainly asking here practical tips that works as I said that wiki article really didn’t helped me a lot….I can’t really think a way not to get aggro other then not to attack when there are so many single target DPS in the group, if there is no guardian/warrior with AOE weapons like Greatsword, Hammer, Axe, Mace, Stuff, etc or an Engineer/Necro it is a near guaranteed that I am going to get the aggro as a most squishy person in the group…

Hi guys,

I have some questions about aggro mechanics in this game….

In dungeons I am playing Staff Ele and specially with PUG groups I am pulling all the aggro dying all the time….

Weirdly most of the PUG dungeon combinations that I play together consist of 2 Mesmers, 1 Thief (even the Guardians and Warrios were sword/rifle combination) and so direct consequence they are single target DPS, so when I make an AOE all the mobs lands on me…..

I mean all my skills are AOE I have barely single target attacks, air attunement must be my best option to do single target but its most attacks also AOE, there are some skill in earth but earth attunement is pathetic anyway…..

So any tips not to pull that much aggro and considering there is no taunting in this game how to drop aggro…..

I mean if I can’t use my AOE spells should I stay in Water all the time and heal people or what?

Hail to the the French Canadians, onyl way we beat VS is to convince people in Australia and New Zealand to play in Desolation…..

If the frenchs can do it, we can do it also, 24/7 coverage of the battlefields…..

There is no French Canadians on Vizu, or very little people, it’s a legend this …
But we a lot of gouvernement HELPS for Unemployement that is the keys

Well if they don’t have French Canadians on VS, then they have very sleepless French Workers everyday of the week……

Sorry but I don’t buy that, they have potentially 150 people (they can’t be always the same people so lets say 300 people) which are not sleeping between 1:00 – 6:00 and going to their school/work places without having any sleep for 7 days of the week….

Yeah, right…..

How do you S/D in PvE

The best thing about D/D you don’t have to aim anything worst thing about S/D it is a big pain to land any hit, if you can, it has better burst I think…..

To say the truth I like the Scepter more which give me the option keep my distance but that slow flying Phoenix and no aim Dragon Tooth kills me…..

AC Exp and lvl 35

Hi,

is it optimistic to try to this dungeon with Lvl 35 char, I have no group that can carry me, I have to PUG it…..

Story mode was a quite challenge (ok I have to say, the groups that I did together didn’t possed and control character like Guardian or Warrior) I don’t want to pay unnecessary repair money if it is only dream to do with lvl 35 with PUGs….

My Meteor Shower hits between 600-1500. So I still think you’re under level. Just be careful when roaming alone.

I don’t know, all my stuff lvl 33 masterwork, I don’t know is there anything better then that for my level?

And tell me one more tip, then thx u all for the answers, I tried to carry supply for the repairs of a wall, but some guy in general chat called we should stop getting supply while they were trying to built something in the castle…..

Now is there an one single source supply on the map (this case was Ethernal Battlegrounds), the supply was spawning on area on the left side of the map between the first keep and some sort of camp…..

I feel like a quite noob abour maps and whole this supply thing….

My current character is a level 80 elementalist. Starting at level 2, I played him almost enitrely in WvW. I got maybe one more level total out side of WvW.

You can man siege weapons. Those don’t care what level you are. Carry supply. Rez. Any knockdowns and such will work regardless of level.

Just because you’re not DPS’ing like a madman doesn’t mean you can’t contribute.

I understand what you mean, I was not expecting to make serious damage but at least I can heal meaningfully or so….

One more question, the arrow charts and so, from their position it seems they are impossible to aim (they are so far behind the door, it is impossible to interact with them then see the enemy and aim to them), I used the treb alot in sPVP but that seemed quite different this arrow charts……..

Hi guys,

this Sunday Morning I was at TP buying some stuff and then in general chat I saw a message that the people in WvWvW calling for help because our ‘sss is kicked’….

I sPvP/tPvPed a lot in GW2 but while my Staff Ele was only lvl 33, I tought i was not ready and I never tried the WvWvW……well I said whatever I will try to give a hand, may be I can do something usefull with my Staff Ele…..

I got the best gear for my lvl, lvl 33 Masterworks, with Toughness/Vitality for armors, Power Healing for the Staff and Power/Crit Damage for Trinkets……

Now finally we are at the keep and the Zerg is there and I go to the wall and drop Meteor Shower and guess what I got a wooping 300 normal hits and 600 crit hits with my MS…..and this is with best available gear for ele in lvl 33….

Then I check the stat sheet to see how the game upscaled me, I see that I got 2000 attack, from my PVP experience, I know that is not crazy number but hitting with 300 damage per strike with MS!!!!!!

Is this normal or the upscaling messes with me? Or a better question does it make any sense to join WvWvW under Lvl 80 char?
