Some people found a method to stay invisible for the entire length of match and are abusing it outright. Sadly there is nothing else we can do other than getting facerolled by invisible players. When you can’t beat them, go invisible.
It’s not “a method” people found and abuse. It’s a legit bug and it’s not known what causes it.
I encountered invisible people and also I was accused of hacking because I got the bug myself halfway through a match.
I didn’t do it on purpose and still have no idea how/when it occurs.

Recommending people to get cancer and die is over the top and should give some dishonor at least. So should the whisper block combo many pvpers use.
robertul, it is players like you that make me cringe. To those that suggested making my own group do you really believe I would be posting here had I not gotten fed up of making group after group only to have them fall apart because some dink decided that skipping is the only way they can play? I can maybe MAYBE get one or two group a month that wont skip, and it usually involves noobs.

People who play turrets should be reportable for botting.
People have no idea what bunker means.
A bunker is a build that sacrifices all dps for sustain and team support. Sustain translates into stability, condition cleanse and other such things. Bunkers do not deal damage.
Basically only 3 classes can fill the role of the bunker effectively. The classic guardian, staff ele with cleric amulet melandru runes(or monk) etc and to a certain extent mercy rune warrior.
Bunkers fell out of popularity because there is no reason to go full defense when you can go hybrid celestial with comparable sustain and also deal moderate damage which allows you to move around more freely.
A bunker always has to rotate into team fights or it’s useless. A celestial hero has no such requirements.
Power necro is easy because it’s the only build in which the whole “second hp bar” is actually true. They generate so much life force they can basically facetank stuff every 10s.
I play sentinel beastmaster ranger with frost spirit, signet of the hunt and quickening zephyr. Double greatsword with energy and renewal.
Power necro is literally 111111. You can’t say that kitten takes any skill. When I’m bored I go dagger/warhorn/focus 62006 power necro with 2 wells and signet of the locust. It’s so easy you don’t even need a stunbreak! Or ranged weapons.
The only time I get “rekt” by power necro 1v1 is if they pop lich and i got no way to los/block/etc. the autos.
Remove scoreboard. It’s worse than when people’s rank were visible. At least that was relevant back in the golden age when not everybody was dragon.
It just encourages randoms to brag about being better because they got higher score.
You simply can’t escape rocket turret overcharge. You can’t!
At least dark path you can dodge towards it for a reliable way to avoid. Not with rocket! That kitten will follow you everywhere.
1. Remove necro.

There are so many servers that you can just enter at the same time with your friends and pick the same team.
I had an ele vapor form WHILE I was almost done rezzing him..wasted cooldowns trying to survive the cleave for nothing.
I constantly revive people and interrupt stompers just to see them go afk. Like after they are alive they don’t try to run away or anything. Just stand still and die again 3s later.
It’s not about the time wasted it’s the lack of presence in a team fight.
Lets say you go kill the npc at start. Even if your team survives outnumbered by the time you arrive they already wasted more cooldowns than the enemy so they are at disadvantage. This is assuming equal skill. If your team actually lost a member in that fight you are pretty much staggered. Also good luck taking a node back with all the celestial builds around.
You should only kill the npc if:
1)it’s a game winning tactic..like 475-490 or something
2)you just wiped the enemy hard and got a few seconds to spare to send 2-3 people to kill it fast..assuming you feel spawncamping(which is much superior) is too risky
3)try to steal it if the enemy goes for it
Some people said it’s the transformations that bug it out but that’s not the case.
If you insist of using elixir gun as your main dps source then a rabid amulet will get you further.
HGH isn’t that good.
If you wanna kite people go for decap builds. Usually toolkit and flamethrower with 3rd optional between mine, slick shoes etc.
A fresh air+dps guard that lands ring of warding would probably kill any engi not just turrets.
But grats on that fgs auto action!
People flame you for 3 reasons:
1)they hate your build..this also applies to any engi build cuz people don’t understand engis so they tend to lose to them..also to rangers and d/d eles..turret has the advantage of being hated by both your own team and the enemy
2)they think you play badly
3)general rudeness
Besides playing a proper build like condi or cele, all I can say is never try to revive yourself. Exceptions are:
1)if some ally heals you
2) if you are on a node that’s neutral or your team’s in an attempt to delay the cap or if the score is close..but generally you should never use bandage alone or people will let you get to 99% and then hit you again..
3)if you know you will get rallied..similar to point 2..if the enemy is down and almost dead but you are also down it’s worth to use a combination of bandage and other downstate to get yourself up..
These situations except number 1 are rare.
You will never learn pvp by playing turrets. If you wanna improve try an easier build like d/d or staff ele, cele engi or shoutbow war. They are strong and easy to play. You learn a lot more by moving around the map.
Please be constructive AND stay on topic. This isn’t about that no-skill fresh air build for which I also have some rework ideas.

Countless people from highly experienced to complete noobs have asked this cancer to be removed.
It doesn’t matter if it’s an inferior build. It brings the moral down on both sides and it’s a huge pain to deal with.
Knowing how idiotic anet is..I expect they will nerf the whole class because of this abomination they created themselves with their stupid buffs that made no sense.

We all know necromancers are a huge pain. They are so prevalent in the current meta and all their 3 meta builds are strong. I mean of course power, terror and minion master.
1. Remove stability from lich. That skill is too strong and has no counter play. It’s an elite so it should deal damage but there should be a risk about 1shotting people with your auto.
2.Rework plague form. Namely 2nd skill. Call it “plague of frailty” and make it inflict vuln instead of blind.
3.Remove chill of death. Just, remove it.
4.Terror. Tone down the damage by 20%. 1k fears are no fun especially since they are easy to chain and they ignore armor.
5. Make corrupt boon more obvious. Pin down got a huge telegraph, point blank shot, even freakin air blast got the same fancy spinny whirly telegraph. Meanwhile corrupt boon is a slight hand movement with some dark green stuff that not only is identical to staff 4 it’s also hard to see in team fights.
6. Make staff marks dodgeable. They take effect before the animation especially with some latency. Also staff 4 should have a more recognizable telegraph since it’s extremely powerful.
7. Make doom take effect after the animation not before it. What is up with that anyway? What’s the point of an animation that occurs after the effect?
8. Tone down well damage but reduce their cooldowns. They hit too hard, even supposedly “bunkerish” classes like the celestial monkeys have to run away when they are dropped on the node.
9. Replace path of corruption with a trait that gives 33% endurance regen. They always complain about not having enough dodges.

So stacking and “spam ability”(lol) is exploity but those builds in gw1 where you could facetank a bunch of mobs with shadow form assassin and other such things aren’t?
On a happier note, yes. New dungeons would be nice. Any new dungeons really.

Staff gs guards. People can cry about bearbows proccing defiance and ruining stacking but permanent area retaliation and when they empower over might stacks does make my blood boil. It’s not only they are useless like a bearbow but they are directly hurting the group. Oh and bearbows have actually more dps!
No. Blocks and blinds shouldn’t have a special place cuz they are scarce.
A thief has like 3s to backstab before he loses that stealth. If he gets hit by a stray blind in a team fight he can’t do anything. If the guard uses aegis, warrior converts burn to aegis or whatever, the thief also can’t do anything. He just wasted black power and heartseeker for nothing.
But if a player is clever enough to expect the backstab and avoid it that player should be rewarded. Sure, luck dodges still happen, as in the guy was dodging some other thing at the exact same moment. But it adds some counterplay to it.
Also these changes probably will ruin d/p thief. That’s another story.
It’s been the same since always. Some guys are tanky and stay on the node to contest(contributing in various ways) and some guys hit for big numbers.
Now the easiest comp to run and succeed is 2-3 celestial and 2 dps. It’s probably not ideal but it’s easy to pull off.
I would go for 1 shoutbow, 1 cele ele either d/d or staff, 1 thief, 1 dps guard, 1 engi either rabid or cele. You can replace the dps guard with mesmer or power ranger(or even power necro) but guard doesn’t require peeling from the enemy thief unlike the others. Likewise you can replace the engi with condi necro or condi ranger.
Yes and wvw guilds also have very unskilled players so you will never feel like you are dragging them down. Win/win!

No team runs 2 ele 2 engi 1 guard.
Engineers have very low protection access unless they spend all their time being cced to death. Most don’t even run protection injection at all.
Nobody runs automated response since the golden age of decap.
Transmute is 15s not 20s and it’s a random condition. It can be a stray cripple or vuln that occured your way.
Ele has no counter but also it has pretty weak pressure.
Engi has decent damage(higher than ele but not thief-level) but gets shut down by cc and conditions.
It could always be just lag.
It’s hard to distinguish unless they go full kitten and zip from far to close in 2s. If they just boost themselves a bit it’s tricky to make the difference.
It shouldn’t reveal when it’s blocked or when it misses due to blinds and neither when it hits an invulnerable target.
It should reveal when it is dodged though.
Unless they magically stunbreak like slick shoes I doubt they will be used.

Yes you totally cannot place the wurm on the ledge at mid in niflhel. Totally.
Engineers need toolkit to not be free kills and they need a dps kit like grenades to not be useless.
That leaves 1 slot and since going hero mode with no stunbreaks doesn’t cut it..well..not many options. Even without the “stunbreak slot” the utility is pretty limited because unlike other classes you can really only pick one.
Slick shoes is devastating but people seem to forget it bugs out so much. From rangers lightning reflexes right out of it to people outright stepping out because of some weird reason they just bug a lot.
The only bug that could be implemented in a real mechanic is staying still to negate the effects. It doesn’t make it useless but I think it will help people a lot since most of the frustration seems to come from the inability to control their character.
People don’t take guardians and warriors in dungeons for raw dps. They take them as banner bots or reflect/stability bots.
Ranger is fine in dungeons. It’s not the best choice. That’s why you don’t see them in record runs. Most of your runs won’t be record-worthy or even close to that anyway so just play whatever you want.
What I meant with 1111 on condi ranger is that most of your damage comes from shortbow autos.
Most damage besides rapid fire is sword auto. Good luck using that in a team fight as a zerker amulet. That’s why a power ranger’s most high practical dps(as in dps that you can actually do without dying the first few seconds) is longbow paired with some finishing burst from maul. After that you usually reposition back to a safe place to continue longbow attacks.
Thief and dps guard combo is probably stronger than thief and mesmer combo because dps guard has more snares, more sustain(at the price of limited range pressure) and isn’t eaten alive by thieves.
Rangers have a hard time in the meta because just like with mesmers, thieves push them out. Both d/p and s/d can easily kill a ranger.
With s/d you may have a fighting chance but the moment d/p got close to you the fight is over. And since they have on demand stealth it’s not even that hard.
What is more, mesmers and dps guards are also countering power rangers to a certain extent.
Both thief and mesmer can disengage pretty safely if the situation gets bad. Ranger doesn’t really have as much stealth,evades and basically 0 teleports.
As for condi ranger it’s pretty strong and easy to play(111111) but it’s just weaker than other condi classes. Condi necro brings boon removal and can chain cc via fears, and condi engi has very strong and also spammable node pressure.
As a zerker you should really just cleave or prevent the rez by cc-ing the rezzers/warbanners. Wolf fear, entangle, muddly terrain, point blank shot, hilt bash, maul etc.
A lot of people seem to forget that stealthing from a thief perspective is mostly “press 5 and let the group blast”. It’s more of a team effort really.
Make autoattacks on scepter and staff faster. Tune the dps accordingly.
Make marks actually dodgeable not some generic animations that even if you see are not easy to avoid because they take effect before the animation.
Give necro more disengage potential. Some vigor, endurance regen, blocks, anything.

Never run protection injection over backpack regenerator. Ever.
Power wrench is mostly better than protection injection unless you face 5 hambows or something.
Mesmers have the upper hand against cele engi but they aren’t impossible to kill. That’s because most mesmers aren’t good. Just don’t eat shatters. Namely mind wrack and diversion, those are f1 and f3. Most mesmers will aim to use diversion first for halting strike procs(damage on interrupt) and whatever the vuln on interrupt trait is. This wears your hp down a bit and stacks a lot of vuln for the incoming mind wrack that will surely follow.
All good mesmers will run greatsword. So dodge mirror blade. It hits deceptively hard and it’s unblockable. It also gives them clones and might. It’s on a fairly low cooldown(6s i think) so after you dodge it once counter pressure them. They got no condition removal. The phantasm(berserker) hits a bit strong but don’t waste a dodge unless you need to or you will run out of them which makes you an easy kill.
If they run sword obviously dodge illusionary leap.
For rangers do whatever it takes to mitigate the initial ranged burst. Ideally you want to dodge point blank shot and block rapid fire. If you do it the other way around they can just wait till your block expires. The most important thing is to be close to them at all costs.
The moment you get to melee they will either try to reposition by stealthing or swap to greatsword. If they block use magnet. If they hilt bash/maul just dodge or overcharge, but be mindful of shared anguish.
Avoid entangle. It’s unblockable. They will use it after you are immobilized, knocked down or feared. if you get hit by it you have to break out. If they go rapid fire after entangle just block it. Your overcharge can get you out. You can just break the vines with jump shot+another high damage skill like barrage.
Well why are eles loved? I mean they only bring sheer dps and offensive boons like might and fury.
What you fail to realize is that UGF is an open type guild. They have many members, lots of them just there for guild missions.
They most likely don’t even know each other that well except maybe for the core members.
