Off the top of my head, Phantasmal Berserker and Mindwrack tag a ton of mobs for me during big events… My mesmer gets just as much loot as my elementalist does in events so I’ve never been able to relate to posts about this. :/

Please, please let the events scale based on the amount of members online or in the party. Also please give us a new “guild party” feature or something like that for these guild missions because my guild now usually has more than 5 online at once (woohoo!) and I’d like all of us to work on these missions together – At the least being able to see all participating guildies on the map during these events would be great.

Wow I just checked it out, that is so awesome!!!

Whatever it is, my guild members and I are excited to find out. Anything new we can do together is more than welcome! As long as the missions/events scale to the amount of members present, I’m good. We’re a small guild so I hope that doesn’t put us at a disadvantage.

In my experience looking at the lfg site, only speed farming groups request certain professions. There are usually also plenty of lfg/lfms out there to do the run at a regular pace. If you don’t see such a post, start one. I do both speed farming and regular runs and have never had a problem finding either one when the mood strikes me.

They never said Carrion is one of those stats they are going to introduce. Remember they said they are releasing 30 types of amulets that will “fit any playstyle”? Might be the same thing now. Mixed stats no one would want.
They also never said WHEN they are releasing it.

Got my monthly same time as my daily last night. Easiest monthly yet, though I missed the first couple of months.

CM trash hits hard even for fully geared 80s in my experience. At 60, AC is the best bet to get your monthly since TA would be almost as bad at your level (though I haven’t run it post-patch).

Are you going in with PUGs or a guild group? If you don’t have a steady group you’re welcome to join us on an AC run sometime. Don’t need to be on the same server to join a dungeon group.

But it has Koss’ head on it. Who needs particle effects?!

So at first I thought the OP must be overreacting but I just finished my second character’s personal story yesterday and had to LOL at how incredibly nerfed this mission was. I was with a PUG, done in less than an hour.

Once we got onto the big airship and had to fight the mobs before shooting at Zhaitan, the NPCs were taking them down for us. You know it’s bad when Logan Thackeray stayed alive. I just stood there and danced, didn’t even have to do anything!

All that aside though I understand why they would nerf it, however making this probably the easiest mission in the game went a little too far. I can see this being made more challenging again soon.

CoF path 1 boulders part – made the exit portal a tad too early and everyone was crushed by boulders upon exit. oops!

I either get my “legit” rezzes at Claw of Jormag or I rez the Hylek NPCs around the Krait Witch beach in Caledon Forest – Those dudes are always going down!

At first I was salvaging all my cheaper drops then I bought up some trophies and finished off the 500. I’m a bit impatient

I wonder if switching to invisible status stops people that click on your character from being able to invite you to party?

It would be great to be able to send out a message to all members once in a while and if not that, message of the day popping up in chat at log in a la GW1 would be great to come back.

IMO dailies don’t really take that long to complete so if you want dem laurels just do it and move on to whatever else you want to do. Hit up any starter area for 15-20 minutes and you’re done. I recommend Caledon Forest.

I took my first character to 80 without any sort of support system (and it wasn’t that hard) but later learned the game is a lot more fun when you experience it with other people!

It’s already been done for monthlies but I would like to see 1 or 2 JPs be part of the daily rotation. Maybe add killing champions to dailies or monthlies (they’ve already added kill 5 vets to dailies). Yeah, i’m not being very creative here.

Everyone’s making jokes but I would actually love a weekly achievement on top of the dailies and monthlies

Hmm… it will likely be a lot more than 5 days then. I’m thinking 2 weeks, minimum. I tend to obsess over the monthly first and try to get it done as fast as I can so I’m going to be frustrated in February! :P

The few times I’ve died right at the end of a boss (I take full responsibility for my laziness hehe) I was not able to loot him, I’ve noticed this happen every time.

So it sounds like the first mesmer meet will be Friday, 9 pm EST in Rata Sum on the SoS server. I will be there!

yeah later on Friday night works for me too. i think it would be fun to have a party and then fight together too!

I vote for Rata Sum, sometime in the evening (how about 8 pm est?) on Friday and afternoon or evening on Saturday.

What, Yak’s Bend isn’t a cool enough name for you people?! I’d love to have a mesmer meet (best dressed contest sounds fun!), just decide on a server and I’ll guest to it!

There are still plenty of people that do CoF path 1 casually and not for speed runs, so I don’t get the big deal here if that’s what some people want to do. I speed farm it on a regular basis (as a mesmer) but also do at least one casual run per day to help guildies and we never have a problem finding some extra puggers for a run. Just be sure to make your intentions clear when you advertise or get someone new in the party so there aren’t mixed expectations.

MangoMan, you don’t need to be on the same server with another player to complete a dungeon. Most dungeon groups these days are formed either in LA overflows or through gw2lfg.com – I’d recommend that site if you are trying to form Arah groups.

Ugh… I am still waiting for ascended gear with the stats i need (Carrion) and if Waraxx is right, I might never get them.

Basically what Mungrul said… they want you in that Gem store. I need to stop pressing O so much because I do that all the time, inadvertently, and it drives me nuts.

I would like to be able to edit the guild message without it disappearing… for example if I noticed a spelling mistake it would be nice to fix it without having to rewrite the whole thing. Yeah, I could write it in Word first but why can’t it be editable in game?

100% want to see members’ last log in time.

IIRC in the original GW, the chat displayed the guild message upon log in. I would like that back rather than a reminder to check the guild message – but only when it’s changed rather than seeing the same message every time someone logs in.

Yes! Very much agree, love the Ebon Vanguard weapons. I use the one-handed sword on my mesmer.

Yak’s Bend is very friendly and active. I’ve been on a few different servers and I found a great home here, never leaving!

I set aside a few minutes each day to finish my dailies. I do them on a low level alt in caledon forest pretty quickly, but i usually start them off on another character as I do my regular thing. I’m very much looking forward to the daily changes coming on the 28th.

I have never been asked to link my armor yet for a cof speed run group. If I was, I would probably leave. CoF farming groups can get pretty nasty.

i didn’t think full berserker gear was a must for cof speed runs anyway. my mesmer uses berserker weapons and valkyrie armor and i’ve done just fine on the many, many speed runs i’ve done there.

You can’t see your title when you do this, but if you’re in a party and ask someone to target you, you can at least see your gold star!

I’m not sure if it works with only one stone. I think you must first transmute the vigil skin onto a white piece of armor, this is what makes it account bound. then after that, you transmute the skin again onto the exotic (or whatever) with the stats you want, and then you can soulbind it to the proper character.

If anyone managed to get it working using the OP’s method, please correct me.

Wardens of the Flame (Yak’s Bend) is currently looking for a few more active members to join our ranks. We are a small, casual PvE guild with visits to WvW here and there. We are a very tight-knit community so we prefer members interested in making new friends and doing stuff together like dungeons, fractals, exploring, leveling, personal story, etc.

We have a guild bank, armorer and weaponsmith as well as mumble.

Our members are mostly from NA, but we have a couple of EU members and welcome those as well. We are mostly active weeknights (NA time) and weekends. We have no age restrictions but prefer mature members… That isn’t to say we don’t get silly, which we often like to do.

I’ll always recommend Yak’s Bend. I’ve been on a few different servers, I find it to be very friendly. Last I checked we were one of the full servers but if you check off peak times (early morning for example) you can usually transfer over. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Wardens of the Flame [fire] is a new PvE guild I recently started with a friend on the Yak’s Bend server. We currently have 10 members but are looking for more friendly, active players to help build up our community. We welcome members of all ages and experience. Our goal is for every member to be engaged and active with the group so we are aiming for quality over quantity. We are all very helpful so if you are new to the game, you are more than welcome here!

We are currently mostly doing PvE with daily dungeon runs, dailies, exploring, leveling, etc. I’m also a FotM fan so I’m happy to go in there any time! As we grow we’ll expand more into WvW. We also plan to have regular guild parties with games and prizes as we expand!

We are still working on guild upgrades (only a few days old so your patience is appreciated) but already have a mumble server set up.

We only have two rules: we ask that members keep guild chat clean and for our members to represent [fire].
