spent three hours in EoTM tonight mostly with the guild.
One thing I noticed… OMG people were glassy. A good push from an organized 10-15 players against 40+ would cause 10 downs immidiatly and the rest running back to the spawn as we picked them off 2 at a time.

If you run berseker… avoid the organized groups they will down you FAST. stick to ganking people running to the groups.

I saw so many guardian commanders that melted from single pushes. That should never happen to a WvW guardian. so this is obviously a PvE player that doesnt know the meta

or maybe a different server. maybe the lower tiers run more glass. i had 4 people attacking me and i downed 3 of them with blurred frenzy…. they did hit me but not that hard. glass vs pvt/zerk/knights hybrid looks bad for glass.

btw u guys are aware of the fact that u can buy ranks too with badges and laurels

im rank 690 and i dont even run with the wxp train at all. its fairly easy to get wxp. i get it through killing players . a pve player might want to follow a zerg around in eotm right now wxp everywhere. right now its easy so instead of crying here, go there and u will get those 30 in no time. seriously if i was wxp farming id be way over 1k ranks by now. ther is plenty of pve like events in wvw and eotm. go collect the oil, go kill guards, take camps, take towers with the zerg. plus if u have a birthday booster or wxp booster 30 ranks in a day piece of cake

anet it has been like 7 hours now. we need a response.

well and i wish i could make an ascended and legendary without setting foot into pve… well its not possible. rank 30 is really easy to do. u can easily farm 10 ranks a day. plus with the new eotm 30 will be even easier. there is some pve elements wher u have to gather stuff or kill monsters. all gives wxp. so please dont panic.most of the pve ers already have rank 30 from the season achievments

/dance /sit helps…problem is though that u cant emote while in combat

hmm maybe u encountered some of the higher tiers meta builds. glass ele is a big part of that, but also high power med-high toughness is part of that. i was surprised that i hit people for 6k today….and im not glass at all. i have 2.8k armor, 20k health and 2.5k power, but little crit chance. so im surprised how people just melted.
maybe it really is because people are more glassy.
try not full berserk, mix some knights in there

yeah i dont blame the thieves for this. its a bug and without the bug fighting a thief is very possible and i did have some epic fights. so im not blaming the thief. this is just a major bug that has to be addressed asap.

they have very bad representation in wvw too as they suffer from the same issue like mes. tooo much depending on ai. mesmer is only there for veil/portal and tw

Clones aren’t retaining their targets anymore of the stealth so they die, thinking the target has “left”. It IS a problem. And no it’s not totally irrelevant to the Mm bug. It’s the same exact concept,’I’m hoping to get some Mesmer sympathy for once. Mesmers love abusing moa on MMs, now you get to see how frustrating it is.

I like it. Most classes can have their signature abilities made useless temporarily by one or more class. No reason for Mesmer to be any different. Not like its impossible to keep someone from stealthing (including, like I mentioned before, a purchasable item to do so in WvW maps)

but this bug is not a counter its a gamebreaking bug. mesmers have only 1 autoattack that doesnt require a target which is mh sword. so vs a thief we can now only autoattack as we have only ai that could attack a thief when he pops out of stealth. i really could care less about the moa skill. this is a way different problem. as an mm necro u still got attacks next to your minions. so if u wanna discuss about moa elite i am all for moa being replaced. but this thread is about a bug.

I’ve been hit by a wide variety of mesmer skills while stealthed, not even counting illusions and phantasms… I think you may be doing something wrong.

This bug actually can be a hidden buff to clone death condi mesmers btw lol. Do t have to waste dodges to force kill them. XD

yeah this bug came along with the last patch before eotm. i sometimes get randomly stuck in the middle of a zerg. it mostly happens when i blink or use ileap or phaseretreat

yep it shows how terrible a mesmer is in wvw because ai is useless, now i cant even kill a thief, because every weapon but mh sword requires a target and phantasms are useless now if they go all pooff.

seriously, every single patch something gets broken. berserker, chaosstorm, iwarden and now illusions in general!
i assume its very difficult to program the mesmers ai. i understand that, but seriously this newest bug shows clearly that mes is too depending on ai. without our phantasms we have like no dmg. we cant shatter no nothing, we cant hit no nothing because of ai.
in wvw we are bottom atm because again of ai ai ai. so if it is soo difficult how about giving us less phantasms, less ai and therefor less things that bug out.
or h ow about making a weapon without phantasms, but aoe like real aoe for this light armor class.
i know a little about programming and yes ai like the phantasms are a tough one to program right, so how about a little less pet/ai action and more aoe?

This is completely absurd. They need to fix this ASAP. Illusions are the core mechanic for mesmers . . . this would be like causing a ranger’s pet to automatically go passive when feared.

@ronpierce: It sounds like that’s a bug and should also be fixed ASAP.

It’s a noted bug that has persisted since release. :P (Also, self transformations such as lich and plague kill minions for the same reason/bug. Ranger spirits, turrets etc do not de-spawn when moa’d…)

mesmer: nerf/buff nerf 1v1 abilities/ buff wvw raid mesmer(give us aoe)
ranger:buff for wvw

its kinda funny when commanders ask for mesmers to m up and u see 2m but 15-20w XD. very often i run with some commanders from different guilds and they have like no mesmers to portal their golems.

can we get an answer that this has been noted by the devs?its really really gamebreaking for me.

As I said in another similar thread. I support this change. Moa kills all minions, stealth kills all illusions. Minion’s don’t have a “master”, illusions don’t have a target, I mean. Fair is fair! It’s okay to have hard counters against mms, but Mesmer’s aren’t allowed to have one?

Just kidding, being a vengeful kitten . I feel for you. Just remember this though the next time you moa a Minion master.

well phantasms are our weapons as everything else is on longer cd’s and phantasms are supposed to be our dmg. well with this bug a shatterer has 0 chance vs a thief and all the other builds are crippled to 0 dmg appart from mh sword dmg that doesnt require a target. so vs thief u have no chance atm not a single one. every single thief in spvp killed me today as all my illusions went poof right awat and those phantasms have quiet the cooldown.

please ill give u my moa for this bug to get fixed

Sound like you’ve had some rather lucky encounters in WvW. I mostly come up against Warriors, Guardians and more Warriors, even whilst roaming. I sometimes perceive that I’m seeing lots of Mesmers and Thieves (usually because they’re more memorable encounters), when really I’ve just spent most of my time wadding through hammer Warriors.

It’s gotten bad, I started playing tonight and every PVP group has been a team of all mesmers for the past hour, no guardians in sight. Mesmers are flooded everywhere lol

no i think u are trolling. right now mes has a major bug and is non viable vs thieves. i saw only very little mesmers today in eotm all i see is ele, war guard everywhere and a lot of engis. in spvp i see war, necro,engi and only few mesmers. idk what server u are playing on but i dont see those mesmers anywhere

in wvw u dont see that many mesmers in raids, but at least they are there in roaming.

so a new bug which is quiet gambreaking for mesmers has appeared. the illusions die if enemy stealths.
