Zerging is a playstyle. I see nothing wrong with it. Its an MMO after all, so massive amount of players working together is nice to see.
they wipe a whole map clean, kill champions within seconds, rage the moment a small group got there first and constantly ruins any type of immersion.

if you find it taking to long to do a daily in PvP then why not just do the PvE version, it’s faster and you get what you want anyway.
i think MR. popo is the lead in LS development, he looks at what you want and places exactly what you don’t want, adding stuff in the gem store with a 3X higher price then it’s worth and loves to see you complain about it.

if they really want ppl to buy gems trough real money without removing the gold->gem exchange then they better make a bonus gem system for that, so you ether spend your time farming gold all the time or you buy gems with real money and get more gems then you can get trough the exchange.

Anet can do the exact same thing, it makes buying gem trough money allot more profitable while keeping the exchange the way it is. (and if this keeps up, only the extreme farmers can use it properly)Except I don’t remember seeing NCSOFT offer bonus proxy currency in any of their games ever. Turbine has been able to keep DDO and LotRO alive with offers and discounts on their proxy currency as well as sales in their cash shop. But those games have been around much, much longer and may need offers like that to keep the cash flowing. GW2 is only 15 months old, not 5 plus years.
yet they have 3X more income then a sub based game, tells you how much they really “need” it.
i will not pay this for a price that screams “this is a scam”, if it was 500 them maybe but 800 is a tad to much.
blood fiend is better overall, i have used all of the healing spells and they have ether a way to low healing power or way to high a recharge time.
the fiend heals you while it’s alive, helps you fight and can heals you for quite a big amount when you sacrifice it.
have well of power instead of signet of spite and you have a way to heal and break stun in one go, only going for damage kills you allot faster then having at least a backup.
If they wanted to create a good PS they should’ve learn from Runescape quests, where you hero most of the time, except for moments when elder evil enter the game. But you almost always a hero.

vindictus (a F2P action mmo) has the underwear thing already, you choose your underwear and you can see it all the time.
so for instance you have one with a collar you can see the collar even with the armor equipped, quite nice for when you want to mix armors with it.
Totally true. Regardless of whats going on in game, the player should always be able to fall back on imagination. Currently there’s not enough support for that in the game.
Oh gods! Don’t get me started on that now. lol Lack of emotes for proper RP interactions and lack of environmental inanimate-object interaction. Pfft! Oh yes, very much lacking in support there. Kind of sad since this game has so much potential for so many things. I love new content and all too – but even these little things, these details are also what help keep players around (or coming back), dedicated and loyal to your game, goods or services.

“DO NOT TOUCH” pillars across Tyria … are immersion breaking, why isn’t the local wildlife going crazy or acting more aggressive? These things are making loud sounds and have lightning coming out of them.

The NPC point is valid. The widllife point is really not. Do all the wildlife freak out every time there is a construction site or manmade structure popping up somewhere? No. They generally just give it a wide berth until they’ve decided it’s not a danger.
but that’s his point, it is a danger, wild life would actually go scares and the place should have no wild life in a 4 meter radius or more.

actually half the light armor skins are pretty much mesmer tailored, only 3 or 4 are made for necro’s and the rest is ether elle specific or boring in general.
they did this for the advantage thing, if the black moa had a powerful skill it would be unfair for non-GW1 players, if it has a weak skill it becomes completely useless.

isn’t the problem more yours rather then the daily system…..you want to complete them so you’re responsible for your own actions, asking to make them easier defeats the whole point of them.
if they really want to release good quality LS stuff then they should make them for around 2 months while working on the next one, making them bigger and higher quality overall.
Of course, Anet likes the money they make off of those transmutation stones/crystals/etc. Not that there is anything wrong with wanting more money, but, I am guessing there is a realistic reason why all the Living story skins and gem store skins are one time use only.
They said they will implement some kind of wardrobe system.
Some people have hopes it will allow for multiple uses of skins.
I guess we will have to see.

Actually since Anet is an American company they can. They go by the laws of the country the company is located in not the country the other guy is in.
Believe me, people have ways to keep their websites online, no matter how illegal. Just look at thepiratebay. Not to mention the law is filled with loopholes.
the piratebay is blocked in holland and belgium, we need proxy servers to loop to the website and they are closed all the time.
they can do the same thing with gold sellers, forbid them everywhere and eventually no one can visit their website.

ppl are just way to focused on dmg dmg dmg without actually thinking about how to do dmg, typical FPS thinking……I’m sorry, but considering the necro’s toolbelt I find it very hard to believe that they can deal more damage in an area than a thief with a sword.
and that’s why we have good necro’s, you might run in to bad necro’s but you need good ones to get it done right.
the problem isn’t really the necro, the problem is the players who treat necro’s like filth.
invite a good necro and you’ll see that they are more useful then ppl claim they are.
if GW2 had just half the hair style choices i have in skyrim then it’s quite impossible to say it’s not enough, i have above 350 styles btw.
why the hell would you join more guilds, if it’s for alliances then they should simply add alliance…….
then i have to tell you, if you have never seen a true necro player you can’t judge.
i do more damage then a team can, i even kill champs on my own while other profs need a team to do the same.
i heal, support, do massive DPS and even take down whole groups almost blindfolded.
again, you can talk bad about necro’s but you can’t judge, they are actually one of the most powerful in AOE DPS and support.

@ Sorudo, that’s where you make it a specific pet trait, where some pets tank, and others evade. You want a tanking pet, take one that tanks.
if it’s a trait then sure thing, ill never use it anyway.

how do you want to raids to happen? how would it keep the basic game balanced? would it bother newly/low lvl players? is it yet another way to zerg or a new way to play?
and the list go’s on, it’s nice and all to say “i want raids” but it’s better to actually provide us with the idea rather then a general name.
and what if i use my pet as a shield to keep me alive?
at times i dodge back in order to avoid being attacked, if my pet dodges when i do then i can’t do this trick anymore and it makes my pet even more useless.
i would like to have a raptor as pet, however, i also want the pet to actually work correctly for ones.
i ignore it all for quite some time and it doesn’t bother me to much, the only problem i have with it is that it constantly opens ether of the two tabs.
if we could at least perm lock it so it doesn’t expand the tab i would be happy enough with it, the rest is a simple matter of tolerance.

GW1 already has this and it works fine, see absolutely no reason why not in this game.
if the had made the story more important rather the achievements then we would not have this problem, it would’ve bin better if the “rewards” were things you can get later on trough a heap of karma or such.
we have zergs that ruin a whole part of the game just because of both the loot and the achievements, players get mad when you killed a veteran/champion on your own just because it’s in a daily/LS and all i see is ppl whining that you can do the LS in a day.

the field covers 8 meters of ground, it will only affect allies below 80% health and enemies below 50% health, fear is always affected.
engineer is superior, you have more options and with the right build you can do fine solo.
a thief is a true glass cannon, it does some fine damage but defense is nowhere to be found, not to mention the problem with initiative.

Let’s compromise. We can have open-world dueling on the day that I can go to WvW and opt-out of PvP so I can do my map completion without getting harassed by the PvP crowd.
Surely you see that this defeats the purpose of WvW being an open pvp contested zone, while open world dueling in PvE would not disrupt the fundamental purpose of the open world in PvE, which is leveling, exploring, fighting mobs, collect nodes, DEs, etc.
I would even take it a step further to say, the open world doesn’t really have a specific purpose, hence being the “open world.” Its open for you to do as you please, at your leisure.
If you have duels disabled, you can continue business as usual in open world PvE.
If you have PvP disabled in WvW, you can spy/scout for your server at the very least, which is pretty gamebreaking if you ask me.
I do understand that. What baffles me is why you can’t understand that PvE is for PvE. PvP players have 2 different options for PvP play. You don’t need to invade all 3 play environments. Leave PvE alone.

he is clearly to much a PvPer to understand what a PvEer wants, till now i have only seen excuses just to add something that ruins that 1/3 of the game.
he has options and doesn’t want to accept them yet we PvE players have to suffer just because he wants something, it’s the ignorant boy in a cluster of role players.
the problem here is that everything has to be done while new characters constantly start their new character, if it’s pretty much only in cinema’s then there is no interaction whatsoever, if it’s in an instance then it defeats the purpose of an open world.
currently all i do is unlock my starter skills, go to the seraph and simply skip the whole garrison.
at times the door is closed but when the earth hand appear while you just got there it will simply save you at least 5 minutes of waiting and another 4 till the hand appear again.
the reason why they removed karma from saving the ppl is because it became a farm spot and you simply found ppl walking out of the tutorial place with 10K+ karma
i want a reason but within the borders what we have now, making it to long might frustrate some ppl while adding cinema’s makes things more and more annoying since you can’t skip them.
You all try to argue with scrambles, yet he trumps you ever time. He has effectively covered every point and counter-point you could think of using logic and reasoning, and for that, I applaud you scrambles. It’s simple really, you get an option that is added to the game that you can participate in or not, and it in no way affects how you play or what you are playing.
WvWer’s have to deal with PvE in their PvP content and that’s not even an option to turn off. People just deal with it. Just like they would with duels.

My whole point is that there are a lot of little things, some of which the player base may not be aware of that would be effected by open world duels. My hope is that the dev’s will be able to balance on the head of a pin to make sure that it isn’t game breaking for anyone.
you could make this argument about the implementation of ANYTHING in this game.
The best evidence you could get about the impacts would be to look at similar games of the same genre…ALL of which have open world dueling and many of the preventative features i’ve suggested. If duels created all these game-breaking and fun-ruining issues i can’t imagine these other MMOs would be as successful as they are.
Finally, considering 2/3 of GW2 is pvp based (given PvE, sPvP, and WvW), i couldn’t think of an MMO more fit for duels.
firstly, all the MMO’s you’re talking about have PvE and PvP servers, this game doesn’t have it for obvious reasons.
secondly, the exact reason why it should NOT be added is because you already have 2/3 of the game to play in.
is it so hard to understand that PvE players simply want to be left alone without all the annoying duels, is it so difficult to keep that one place PvE players can have fun in clean from duel abuse?
if you so enjoy duels do that in sPvP, if you don’t enjoy that then that’s your loss.
i don’t enjoy the LS nor do i enjoy dungeons (and that is all because of the players), i choose not to go there but i lose out a certain kind of fun.
what you don’t like is not a reason to simply force it in someone’s face, and don’t even start with the “but you are not forced to duel” because it’s pretty much just that.
so as it stands now, ether play 1v1 in sPvP or simply deal with it.
grow a pair for ones, don’t whine about it and force it in someone else’s face.
oh and BTW, if you so much want to force it there, let’s do it the other way around.
in WvW i want a PvE flag so i don’t have to deal with other players attacking me, makes the 100% world completion allot easier.
