.You mean like the trading post, laurels and dungeon tokens?
TP uses the main currency so it can be and is highly manipulated and is completely dependent on RNG drops.
Laurels is only 1 per day and still has an RNG bag RNG should not be the solution for heavy RNG. sorry.
At no time can you buy runes/sigils/or T6 mats with dungeon tokens so they are worthless.

Not only are they using the 1999 model for loot tables, they added extra RNG containers for these items that people need to make their versions of enchantments and consumables and they made the easiest one to get not drop some of the most rare T6 mats (even tho they’re the same quality they should be equally easy to obtain) and often not drop anything at all.
So yeah they have alot of work to do to bring this system up to par. They are working on it so that shows they know this isn’t a good system at all.

I have in multiple other threads, two of which have been hinted at, salvaging greens and blues into T6 mats, and karma vendor T6 mats.
There’s also allowing people to purchase runes and sigils with karma directly. Just sitting and waiting on the patch.
Love it when people are in denial. Gear locking is locking content from people who don’t have a certain score on gear or a certain tier of gear to see content. And don’t tell us the myth that all guilds are active and will accept anyone trying to do these things without the gear they need because the longer it takes for new players to get into the game the fewer people run the old content, it’s a known fact this happens in every mmo.
And then there’s the huge delay in Laurel grinding per character because there’s 1 daily per account.
Dungeons can’t progress without agony resist and we all know that people already ask for specifc classes what makes you people think they don’t ask for maxed gear as well? I don’t do dungeons and even I know that.

sounds great to me as I too am an AMD user both cpu and gpu.
No soulbound was the beginning of how the mmo devs kept players from affecting the economy. What they need now is to make all of the karma items and items with the ticket skins, Bind on Account. I completely agree Fincap.
I am not assuming this is true btw. BUT…
if it is true, I have to say this shouldn’t be for only two classes or limited to just bleeds.
I see this as a solution for the problems of capped stacks on conditions. All enemies move especially those enemies in Orr.
If this works this way, why not make all of the conditions this way in condition builds on classes. Why not make it so that enemies take extra damage when moving while under conditions of any kind. Wouldn’t that solve the problem of the zerker vs condi builds damage disparity?
I’ll be behind each of them dropping bombs and CC s while they’re throwing stuff at everyone else and if they turn to me, I’ll confuse/retaliate and turn into a tiny charr while giggling as I run away.

As it stands right now. I find that turrets are only useful as niche utility skills. Kinda what Gadgets should be.
I will bring Flame turret and overcharge it and use smoke bomb when I want to keep a target blinded for 9 seconds.
I will bring Net turret when I need to keep a target immobilize and I will take the sitting duck trait with Net Turret for single target vulnerability.
Thumper turret for blast finishers. Good for stacking might or stealth.
Rifle Turret staple in Static discharge builds.
Heal turret pretty self explanatory there
I never use Rocket turret in PVE.

At the moment, necros deal pathetic damage if they go full Conditions, outside of conditions (I hit about 100-200dps? when I’m not in zerker). I have to go full zerker on Necro just to be able to deal decent(???) damage. I think this will even the odds personally, but I’ll have to compare both and see how it goes.
That’s actually due to every class having it’s very own condition damage base score trust me, my thief does better bleeds then my engi and my engi is in full condi gear.
Also condis do not stack properly so they are terribly imbalanced at the moment.
Yeah I’d wait if I were you we have no idea what it really is yet much less what it means for building burst/healing options.
I’ll reserve judgement until I can see the options much more clearly, by testing them out myself.

I think Regeneration boon needs changes in formula.
Ex:
“The Regeneration boon grants healing over time determined by the following formula:
5 + (1.5625 * Level) + (0.125 * Healing Power) per second "
At lv 80 and 300 healing power gives 165,5 per second. Then All another classes fills all health before warriors and necromancers (two more weakenes classes
).
I think “health points” (no vitality) needs be added to Regeneration formula and this way provide equality benefit to all classes.
I would actually ask for a better score then this because regen needs alot more then that. It needs to scale much higher over time especially for those of us who would rather play and succeed at playing support roles.
My toon had about 15xx healing power with all the stuff on with boons and I can’t get anything but 150 per second to pop out. The engineer trait that gives regen when a kit is equipped is just as bad. And to top it all off we don’t have a direct heal that isn’t an AOE zone.
EG Fumigate needs to be reworked to include not only a condi removal but also a direct cone heal but then again they’d actually have to fix the cone miss bug once and for all for that to work.

Conversion could be:
- Burn, Bleed, Poison and Torment = Regeneration (DOT = HoT)
- Weakeness = Vigor (low endurance regen = high endurance regen)
- Paralise = Aegis (unable dodge and escape of skills = block incoming attack)
- Chiled = Might (skill usage/mov spd reduction = extra dmg)
- Criple = Switfness (Ok!)
- Blind = Fury (Ok!)
- Fear = Stability (Ok!)
- Confusion = Retaliation (Ok!)

Condition builds would be fine if they removed the 25 bleed cap, literally that’s all they would have to do.

You obviously don’t know a legit farmer so let me explain how wrong this statement is.
Farmers don’t usually farm for loot unless the fail RNG design is in the game. The RNG system was the oldest system of getting loot it started with the very first 2d games and it’s obsolete. If there were a way of getting better rewards or the rewards we need without farming for hours we would easily. Several problems with their current system insists on the grind like legendaries, rune and sigil production, as well as the single currency system for almost everything essential in the game. (runes/sigils/T6 mats for temporary consumables) If there were another way of ensuring that playing the game normally would provide these essentials we’d be doing them.
That’s why I’m hoping they take our advice and open up many an item in the karma vendors even if they were in the temples and salvages so that people can get what they need for the other currency in the game which would break the stranglehold these Economy Manipulators have on the TP and allow players to do the things that Anet wants us to do instead of farming to get the things we need.
It would also partially solve the CoF P1 problem because gold wouldn’t be as essential for it all as it is now, if they’d change the way we get precursors thru the means they already want us to be using.
So I like to farm, but not for the reasons you assume, keep that in mind please before you try to lump everyone into the same category. and finally, killing mobs does deserve rewards, that’s the whole problem with this title right now is there’s not enough ways to get rewarded for our time. Most people right now login to do the daily and logout.
They say they are working on it and I hope for the best because DR doesn’t really help the players.

Yep that’s why I’m here talking about the problems in the game. I don’t tend to make those one sentence posts tho, usually mine are long.
Some people however do that on the regular and I can understand some of their frustration but at the same time surely they know no one is going to take them seriously when they do things like that.
If you’ve got criticism for the game fine, just present it in a way that the devs will read it. Blasting them with names isn’t going to get anything done honestly.
I agree with the OP in one sense but in another there were promises made and many of them were the key reasons why people like me bought the game, I expect to get what I paid for. Until that happens they’re just going to have to deal with the constructive criticism. The trolls will complain about anything and unfortunately they aren’t going anywhere.
How big is the Arena net team? Because if these small festival events are all they can produce with about 6-7 months I’m worried for the future of the game. Seriously, is Dragon Bash the combined effort of the entire team? Or 4-5 members? I’d hope it was the latter, I can’t imagine it was that hard to create the event. Seeing as a lot is copy and paste, even the flying dragon is a copy of the shatterer flying through the skies in the charr areas… I’d like a statement from arena net promising that we will get better content than this boring, lame stuff. Sorry to sound like an kitten but it’s not great.

Well hopefully in your case you won’t have to suffer as engineers have. We asked for certain traits to be worked on for almost a year now including scope and turrets and a few months ago they completely broke the kit refinement trait. They said they did that because not enough people were using gadgets, but they failed to buff gadgets to make them useful.
So we’ll see what’s around the corner here. Hopefully they won’t break anything else.

See here’s the problem, a BtC system is a very old system that prevents the use of items between alts and it was put in place to prevent economies from colapsing and to inflate the amount of time it took on subscription model games to keep players subscribed per toon.
It’s no longer needed.
They could still protect the economy by making everything BoA so that if a player had already bought karma gear for healing for example and wanted to use that gear on an alt, they’d still have to work to level their alt however they could just use that karma gear they already had on that alt and the economy would be fine because it’s karma gear. See what I mean?
Karma and Laurel gear don’t directly affect the economy of the game and the daily already limits the laurel system so why not make all karma/laurel gear in the game automatically BoA?
You brought it to the attention of people who don’t use reddit like myself and I thank you for that, however why continue to worry about it. Community will tell one another of the reddit post and I’m sure the reddit post is still there with the leaked information for everyone to view.
It definitely is annoying. I suggested a mini button so that players can bring them out even while being stored in the bank on any toon.
the #1 skills really do need alot of work they are definitely NOT all equalized in the slightest.
Warrior I think has a bit of an easier time when it comes to melee however there could be more done to help enhance the #1 skills on all ranged weapons.
Here’s what I mean.
Colin talked about how swinging the sword became boring in other games yet in this title it’s become boring with the ranged weapons. There are 3 maneuvers per #1 button on each of the melee weapons however there’s only 1 attack on the ranged weapons.
If they implemented a clever 3 sequence attack ability for the #1 slot for EVERY ranged weapon (including engineer kits and the created weapons from elementalists) this would be a huge step towards making it kitten ring to play.
Grenades and bombs need some special care in this setup because bombs don’t really act like the typical melee skills even tho they are a melee range only kit, and grenades #1 attack is the same thing over and over, does fly straight (is thrown over the top of mobs sometimes so it misses too often) and has no builder of it’s own for a finish move.
If they did this for every one of these skills it would improve the game immensely.
I don’t see why this is a problem in the level 1-15 zones because it’s not like exotics don’t already make you op in those areas.
Race Change yes, Class Change no.
It would prolly help if the good npc’s had at least 1 veteran of their own in these camps.
However if they made them all more powerful how would we get our rez quota in the daily.
Everything is decent except for the ELIXIR R change. That skill is pretty bad now if it’s true. Full endurance with a 45 second cooldown… that’s it?
There’s also that little part about it resurrecting you.
That’s a separate skill that just happens to be bundled with ELIXIR R but ELIXIR R itself is no longer good if the change is true.
I agree some of these skills only had the stun breaker as their idealic design bonus., take that away and really there’s no reason to have them.
I agree about the Adrenal Implant that is a bad joke waiting to happen LOL. 30 points really? Surely they could put something else there.

Turrets are hard to use, weak, cooldowns are extremely long even if you pick them up, they take two times as many button presses to do the same things that other classes do in 1 sometimes they take three (healturret + overload + explode heals) they take two to simply put them in overload mode (which is the only time they come in handy honestly they should just make them overload all the time when dropped or at the very least make this a ui option or a trait.) and unlike the rangers or the necros our pets are stationary, we don’t even get an option for wheels.
I wouldn’t use them myself. The only time I’ve ever used toolkit or a turret has been with the burst electricity rifle build where I wakittenting the toolbelt for extra damage.
That’s because you throw 3 grenades & only drop 1 bomb.
I know that I’m saying that’s an imbalance issue they need to make bombs more viable by making bombs do two vulns per drop. Sorta the same thing in my mind as how 2 handed weapons only have 1 sigil slot.
409 seems to work the best imo, they have one for the overloaded turret but I hate that because you have to do three things to get the same result as most classes get in 1 button press.
I use two elixirs and the bomb kit. Haven’t looked back since.
If we are to believe the reddit list it looks like it’s going to be fun figuring out a new build again.
People aren’t fond of it because getting the overcharge is buggy and painful. At least in my experience.
It is in mine too, it’s just another thing where we have to press 3 buttons to get the same effect for a single heal that other classes do without blinking or noticing they did anything.
It’s like they want us to do extra steps on purpose or something. Sheesh they should know by now that all turrets are better when they are in overload mode when dropped so why not make them do that immediately. It should be an option right off the bat.
EG/TK are completely useless now. The least they could do is make the glue spots acid spots so whatever is chasing us will harm the enemies behind us and make them as large as our pistol glue gun shots.
TK needs a shield of it’s own or at the very least the protection boon when equipped since it’s melee.
I’m hoping medkit’s bubble gets boosted to 5 seconds of shield time.
I noticed something disturbing today while playing. The vulnerability doesn’t stack as much when in full bomb build as much as when in full grenade build. I hope they realize this and make bomb kits stack 2 vuln at a time because it’s way behind grenades in that aspect. And yes I read the leaked list it wasn’t on there.
Ram head was highly useful for my burst rifle electrify build I was using for a while. Glad they made that change. Now I’ll have three abilities that won’t be longer on the cooldown more than 20 seconds.
Looks like there’s some good choices for defense coming for bombcats too! I hope this is real. Too bad they didn’t return what was lost on the kit refinement for EG/TK. sigh
Whats Rumble ? Is that the new rocket boots tool belt ? If yes, then i would really consider using rocket boot. Stun break + stability + a leap would be so nice.

(jokingly) We’ll have a new skill called “Kittened O’le Bomb” when we use it it will immediately cause a self CC and delete our toon and account! hehe /sigh.
I hope “the largest balance patch ever” will not require me to obtain a new set of armor and runes (and transmutation stones for my cultural armor) in order to effectively compete in WvW. It already took a lot of time to gear up my toon.
Scared of that myself honestly. Every patch for engineers cept the last two this year had some kind of crazy insane change that wasn’t necessary (kit refinement anyone?) so only the six can tell what’s next.

Regardless of the ignorance of a few players, there is a very good reason why the PvE trinity of GW2 consists of Warriors, Guardians, and Mesmers, and none of the other classes come remotely close (Except thieves, but only in the case where damage is for a single target, not multiple; lightning hammer eles can also do passably, but are much squishier than a Warrior and the Warrior affords better utility). It is a combination of the following problems:
- Condition damage is pitifully weak in PvE
- Bleed only stacks to 25, and then damage is lost
- Multiple classes applying poison/burning do not stack in dps with each other, while all power-based damage stacks linearly
- Melee damage is always superior to ranged damage
- The Warrior and Guardian have incredible natural bulk, and can afford to melee more safely than other classes in full berserker gear
- Projectile reflects trivialize content more than quickness ever did
- 100B does stupid high damage in all forms of PvE combat
Nerfing 100B by ~10% (and I say this as a Warrior) is only one step in actually fixing the problem that is GW2’s PvE combat.
People keep saying the bulk on warriors/guards is just due to vitality, it’s not it’s their armor as well. It’s why I’d like to see engineers back in their heavy armor because we could benefit from it just as much as war/guards especially in our bomb heavy builds (even the support bomb role could benefit to this).
Hit the nail on the head with the problems of ranged vs melee and the condition stacking tho!
