Precursor Drop Rate From Event Chest

No one in my guild got a precursor and no one on our overflow wrote about it in map chat, although many posted their exotic loot for others to compare.

Maybe the guilds that have multiple precursors used a ton of MF and are hardcore players. Maybe they used 6 alts to get more chances at it.
Everyone who didn’t get one didn’t make a thread about it. You hear more about the ones who did, so it seems like they’re the majority. No need for jealousy, you’re in the majority who didn’t get one.

MF is useless and should be removed. It apparently does nothing for chests.

Most of my guildies did the event and got rares most of which were far far below their level.

the RNG was a terrible idea for anything especially events like this.

Also could we have Anet follow their original masterfulness and come up with the first code that actually gives drops based off of level and profession? something that no other developer has ever done to my knowledge.

getting 39,62,50,76 rares at level 80 from such a large event is insulting.

We don’t need a gearscore.

We don’t need more gear with higher tier stats.

What we do need is a return to true horizontal progression like we were promised this game would be in the manifesto.

All other requests are not in the spirit this game was originally designed to be. Neither is dungeons as the sole progression.

This has utterly screwed me over as I can no longer get the materials I need for crafting.

This was a bad idea, and should have been reserved for special mobs (veteran/champion etc) only.

I am now in the situation where I need massive amounts of wool. I no longer can get any drops of the level that will salvage into wool, in any zone, at any time.

Boned.

Well they claimed they would fix the drops for Veterans/Champions but I so far haven’t had a single better drop from those kills then before this patch. I dunno I’m with you tho…borked.

you all seem to forget that we have a very god new source for bloods – the new map. Drop rate is good there so supply will rise.

I have to say i am quite impressed of how smart A-net addressed the market problems:

- Add new recipes for back items that increase demand for T6 rares and ectos
+ Increase supply for bloods from the new map
+ increase supply of rares via the all dungeons aka increase the supply of ectos
+ increase the drop rates of cores and lodestones

End result will probably be:

  • Price of T6 bloods will fluctuate a lot, T5 bloods will get la bit lower.
  • Lodestone will drop – a good thing considering they are the main ingredients in all craftable runes (in legendaries tooof course).

I have to say i give them an A- for the balancing of the market.

I agree. This move was necessary to bring the t6 mats in line with the appropriate tier/market values.

Increasing lodestone drop rates was also an excellent decision. It’s a win-win for everyone.

OH LS increase huh?! I might be able to craft my Ogre Runes for free now AWESOME! Thanks for that!

I would love an answer to this too, can the entire armor sets be made this way? will there be plans to craft these sets in the future without stepping foot into a single dungeon as this game was originally intended to be via the manifesto?

What i find weird is the block doesn’t have an on hit attack. When enemy hit BAM hit with a hammer upside it’s head. for example LOL

15: Traits. 5% damage doesn’t really flow with the types of bonuses you’ve given other classes that have support roles. Could we increase these or something because no one will ever use them. Just sayin. There are ALOT of traits out of place like the Elixir-infused Bombs trait being at the end of any other trait line other then alchemy or explosives is just weird, and why with such a small heal was this considered important enough to make it a XI?

16: Rocket boots. Still have the knockdown after Nov 15th. Sad really. The animation for getting up locks us in place just like a short stun does and leaves us vulnerable. There is no run speed or jump boost from having these things on, they are simply a novelty that no one uses if they can use something else to break stun and escape. This ability needs a boost.

17: Charr Racial Hidden Pistol: Love this toolbelt ability it’s very nice to be able to do massive and fast dps with a toolbelt utility but there are problems with it too. As an engineer with incendiary bullets why do we suddenly switch to bullets that don’t do any incendiary damage just for this pistol set? Engineers are the only ones to have this ability in the toolbelt so why aren’t their bullets 1: piercing 2: incendiary with a small AOE like the #1 pistol attacks?

18: Acid Bomb: needs to be updated so that it’s a leap finisher like the Rifle or it needs to be updated so that the escape option isn’t leaping backwards off a cliff dunno how many times I’ve done that now or the jump effect is closer to the rifles and splashes even more acid on the enemy for an increased damage. I would think that the chemical to boost speed should replace the jump back effect.

19: Mortar: As an elite it’s terrible. It should not be a fixed usable, it should be optional to use it that way but be a turret when not in use. Also, there should be a huge toughness buff while using it so that people aren’t instakilled while getting their first shot off. The range is aweful as well btw couldn’t use it AT ALL in the Lost Shores event.

20: Bomb Kit/Toolkit Kit: There are no traits to increase the toughness or buff the engineer with bomb kit or the toolkit (that I’m aware of I double checked while writing this). In fact when equipping the toolkit, I lose the ability to gain the toughness from holding a shield even tho the toolkit has shield abilities. The caltrops really don’t fit this kit.

Recently discovered retaliation (blush) the one thing that IS missing tho is stability with the ability to move. I cannot do certain jump puzzles like the big on in the skys of Metrica Province because there is no mobile stability.

7: Mines: never drop where intended are missed almost all the time. They drop all over the place. The trait that gives mines when reaching below 25%, the toolbelt skill for mines, the charr shrapnel mine have consistedly missed enemies who are large and trampeling all over them. They need to be in a geometric pattern around the feet of the engineer, or they need to have a much much larger trigger box, or something. They should always cause one of the following weakness, bleed, daze, cripple (without a trait slotted) due to their very nature as a weapon of war.

8: Downed Ability #2: This should be changed to something magnetic. We should be able to pressit to gain a mini shield that lasts for about three seconds then when the shield goes away it can pull enemies in to us so we can use #3 to do the blast. That way we have a few seconds of protections from projectiles and a pull back without using a thief like ability for it.

9: Bullets: Pistols/EG do almost no damage single target. A bullet is a bullet is a bullet. Needs a serious buff. EG definitely needs to scale with gear.

10: Rifles: attacks are inconsistent with other classes. (if this wasn’t meant to be a rifle but a shotgun fine, make the #3 ability cause a massive amount of bleeding all at once like 15 stacks, if this was meant to be a rifle replace the #3 ability with shots similar in number to the long bow ranger attacks in sequence 8 shots.) No snipe function even tho it’s suggested we use scopes (traits) Rifles bullets do not AOE like pistols. Why is this a problem? Well for an engineer with incendiary ammo, the rifles bullets aren’t very incendiary.

Toolbelt: Surprise shot isn’t exactly the best toolbelt enhanced attack for this turret. The attack on this toolbelt ability hardly does any damage not really worth using. Why a single shot only why can’t it be three then it would actually be useful. Basically it’s just another Rifle shot that does basic rifle shot damage. :/

11: Regen: Too many abilities on the Engineer give the exact same regen buff so then the regen becomes redundant. Also the use of these abilities don’t even give a small initial heal. Getting splashed with a medicine that’s supposed to be alchemical that closes wounds and causes burns to disappear I would say is supposed to have an initial immediate effect don’t you think? If we look at this from a synergetic point of view?

12:Turrets. They might not target objects anymore (haven’t noticed this personally since last patch) but I have noticed they target enemies that are on the other side of walls and nowhere near the engineer’s position especially when affected by the increased range trait for the Rifle Turret. Some people are still having issues with the turrets spawning in odd locations. Turrets should lock to the target of the engineer always and the turret trait to place them wherever should have sufficient range and work on all turrets.

13: AOEs: Turret explosions don’t do any damage without a trait. They just pop like a balloon. They need a shrapnel bleed or if it’s the Flame Thrower Turret on land it needs a burn effect.

Thrown Potions underwater. I find it odd that there isn’t an option for thrown potions to explode releasing their contents right there where the engineer is located. Why in the world while I’m alone would I want to throw my potion that’s supposed to give me a boon at an enemy quite a distance away from me? Can we have that as an AOE focused on the engineer? It’s so much easier to move yourself right next to someone you are playing with then having to guess where this will land.

14: Medkit: When equipping this kit while having the trait that causes them to create a spell, the last thing I expected was to see an AOE explosion. I thought at the very least to keep your vision of the wonkiness of this class a few bandages would fall out, or there would be an alternative (the blue boon) regen field or something other then a bomb. The med kit as a means to heal party members is horrible. Each skill should drop more then one bandage or they need to have a severely reduced cooldown time. Why does it take so long to reach into your pack and pull out a bandage and throw it on the floor?

A compiled look at the problems that engineers face in general (many of which are causing the very imbalance issues Anet is struggling to fix. Many of these are issues that don’t fit with the physics. Many of these problems have existed since BWE3 and have never been addressed properly. Many of these items have been taken from the engineer forum itself. IMO if Anet would like to take this profession out of the bottom of the pile there’s alot of work to do. ):

1: Gear Scaling: Kits don’t scale with gear. They should always have room for improvement. Even if you don’t intend to further damage your game by adding new tiers of gear in the future, your current tier 7 does have improved stats on it and the kits should reflect that while being used otherwise why have stats on gear at all?

2: Kits and Boons: Kits don’t give boons when equipped. (defense for toolkit, regen for medkit etc etc) there should be a similar ability to the new ele weapons or there should be a trait for this option so we can use it.

3: Kits Targeting: Kits don’t target properly. (FT/EG miss almost constantly now with their cone attacks, #1 on the grenades kit doesn’t repeat like other repeat attacks that do small damage, kits miss at the slightest movement of the enemy (like literally one step to the left makes it impossible to hit even tho I’m covering it in flames/chemicals).

4: Targeting: While in PVE in an event some mobs tend to run behind me (Orr). I never have an issue unless I’m using kits or weapon abilities that tend to miss ALOT. It’s odd to me that my entire character will turn around to attack this mob but only certain abilities will hit. For example, p/p the flame attack, NEVER hits an enemy my character is facing but my regular attacks #1 always hit. ?? is this intended? I understand that it’s behind us but why have characters turn around and face the enemy on autotarget at all if not all of our abilities are available? In a place like Orr you have to have autotarget on or you won’t get the kill or the credit for participation.

5: Sigils/Runes: None of the kits are affected by these. This is huge. Why in the world would anyone use grenades, bombs, elixir gun if we can’t get our runes to affect what we are doing. The runes need to all be updated across the board so every one of them stay in effect while kits are switched to and kits are equipped otherwise why even have them for this profession? None of the on kill sigils work when we kill things with kits. When I’m using the EG I never get the kill count on my rune of luck for example. (most people don’t have this equipped so they are nerfed even more) The runes not functioning while kits are equipped are just one of the means by which players of this class are pigeonholed into using a rifle or pistol combo.

6: Burning: Why do we have to use this as a trait? Doesn’t it immediately follow that an explosion will cause burning? Mines don’t burn, shrapnel mines don’t burn, detonating turrets don’t burn, toolbelt skill Rocket doesn’t burn, Big ol’ Bomb doesn’t burn, the number 2 ability on the flame thrower kit doesn’t burn (unless we have the option in explosives that gives it a 2 second burn if it crits). There’s just too many abilities that should cause burning because of their incendiary nature that don’t. Please make this small change so it makes sense.

I would like for chests at the end of such puzzles or those guarded by champions to scale with level of the looter and to give rare or higher loot as it’s highly disappointing to get a blue and a minor rune after all that.

Please PLEASE put in PTR. Many of the class bugs that have been there since BWE3 would be fixed, event issues would be caught before the event is launched, pve would be balanced more easily.

Right now we have a forum system, a bug report system, and that’s it and with that last patch I wonder if they are listening to us.

What makes me say that? We were told targeting would get fixed in this patch. FT/EG still have the same cone targeting issues since BWE3. Kinda makes me wonder sometimes.

I would love an update to the DE system that turns off npcs running up to you talking to you when you have already done the hearts. and there are no other events in the immediate area, Every time i go anywhere no all of them are still asking me to do the things I’ve already finished.. it’s weird and breaks immersion. A way to hide effects!

I would so love some thing that made the effects of other players turn off temporarily like the circles could still be going for zones with a tiny indicator in the middle of what kind of zone it is to make it possible to know what it will do.

Was able to turn down the effects of other players in so many titles in the past and that helped tremendously, it would do wonders for this title.

It’s incredibly horrid in the way this zone is made.

HERE COME seems to have become the new internet meme when it comes to GW2 I’ve seen alot on the interwebs about how people feel about it.

Making a zone a zerg zone when events aren’t occuring is a bad design imo. It’s hard enough trying to get all of the wp when you venture into the zone the first time but there are things like the island with the temple that is ALWAYS taken over on my server. And in order to get to the port you have to run thru long hallways with both pullback mobs and spiders to read the area only to find there are veterans and a champ most of the time in the room with the port in it.

Rest assured OP it’s DEFINITELY NOT you in any logical sense. When people are telling you that they are either turning into Risen themselves right there at their desk (because they lose all humanity when they make comments like this) or they are decked out entirely because they had friends (or what they call them, “temporarily useful advancement tools” which of course aren’t friends at all you see)

I started trying this out the other night. It’s kinda awesome actually, slows me down in Orr big time but i can usually switch it out in time enough to do some heavy AOE damage in an Orr event. (have to turn off speedy kits in my build.)

The mines on this class even the racial one for Charr barely hit anything, they actually have to stand on a single pixel to explode notably with larger creatures.

They told us they would look into them, however if it’s anything like how the targeting issues for the cone attacks on the FT/EG went I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon.

Limited Mobility?

I find laying down my turrets while running around w/events or just plain
exploring really slow me down. One thing seems we have no control what
they shoot,I find myself taking on an extra mob or 2 all the time. Which has
been good for practice wise running around dodging, but annoying as heck
when respawns start back. If I grab them up then the timer kicks in again.

I feel like I’m playing an early version of a wow shaman and their totems.

We’re Engineer’s !!! We need to figure out a better mobile system, Spider-Turrets!
Something ! I really like playing this class but I really feel like the need
to do some tweeting if our turrets are going to be a considered a good part
of our dps and healing abilities.

Exactly why i don’t use mine anymore. Especially in Orr. We should not instantly have aggro when these things attack. It’s just weird. and we certainly should not be slowed while they are fighting in Orr. Sure have things attack them that’s fine but don’t hinder us especially in the “28 days zone” as some of my friends call it.

Until they fix the gaping holes in our class I would suggest going ele…they seem to love that class. They buff it and buff it constantly. It’s my last mmo all over again where mages were given everything and no one else would play any other class because they were all nerfed to death.

Expect everyone to be eles and warriors in the future Anet if you continue this trend.

How is it possible that people don’t even know what they’re talking about before they come to the forum and post…

Exactly how is it that people don’t recognize that there are gaping holes in classes before they comment on other people’s posts?

Have you played an engineer?!? cmon! pay attention. There are bugs in this class from BWE that have NEVER been addressed or do you like having someone in charge tell you that your targeting is fixed when it’s not?

I would like a new button for talking to people, rezzing and picking up turrets.

I’d also like to request turrets that are picked up to have a ten second cooldown because A: they weren’t destroyed and B: does it really take that long to plop on down and press the on button?

They seriously broke the chest on this one. Guildies i had in my war patrol were all getting level 39.50,62,76 items and rares on top of the fact that they were level 80s some had MF gear on and when the MF gear was on them they got worse items then the rest.

Tell me that MF works, please….I’m waiting for someone to tell me it works properly. Here it is a major event with a large chest that’s supposed to be the majority of items exotic and level 80 yet people with MF gear got worse items then those without AND didn’t have a better chance at a legendary precursor. These armor and run sets aren’t cheap or easy to put together, people with MF armor deserve an explanation Anet.

We deserve at least a post on it.

I’m at Phase 2 btw.

All of our frustrations would be solved with two things.

Horizontal progression player advocates who make sure that any new content will not create an upward stairwell only accessable thru dungeons.

and a PTR system!

I’m in the same boat but not from legendary grind from the grind needed to make exotic armors.

It’s ridiculous. They need to address MF, they need to fix the drop rates in open world (yes I should absolutely be able to get the mats i need for exotics/infusion armors without EVER going into a single dungeon), the champions and veterans STILL don’t drop the good loot they promised us they would fix that….

SO disappointed I can’t even think straight. This was not what we were promised this game would be…..the manifesto? it has completely gone by the waste side.

uhm no.

First of all they attracted players like me with their manifesto that there would be closer to horizontal progression, over the past month they have completely destroyed horizontal progression.

Secondly, I had guildies in full MF armor and some who were not who were level 80’s btw get level 39,50,62,76 Rares and 0 exotics. Who in there right mind thinks that level 80’s need rares? Go ahead, I’ll wait……..

Yeah didn’t think so. Everything that dropped for level 80 toons should have been level 80. Even if a few drops were rares. and there should have been 1 level 80 exotic weapon per person that dropped appropriate to the class of the player, without question. I can use two weapons as an engineer wtham sandwich am I going to do with a torch??? Seriously?

The end of today’s event created an MMO buzz unlike anything I’ve been a part of, mainly for one reason: EPIC LOOT IN A GIANT CHEST! Nice call, shake up the economy, and give us what we want. Made the 3 hour event that much better and “worth it”. Our guild of 400+ across 2 OTG guilds was buzzing, big time.

And you can believe, it is gonna make every one want to be there for the next one.

Unless you were like my guildies who were all level 80 some of which were decked out in MF gear and got level 39, 50, 62, and 76 level rares. Yeah, TELL ME IT’S WORKING PROPERLY NOW ANET. go ahead, I’ll wait….(looks at nails, aligns the pencils on his desk, cleans the mouse laser) still waiting…..

Explain "horizontal progression"

Horizontal progression is never having to step foot in a single raid or dungeon to get the materials or gear you need to progress in the game title end game.

In this game it’s getting rare drops you can salvage, getting exotic drops you can use, it’s getting material drops you can collect all without putting a single toe in a dungeon instance or raid. THAT’s what this game started as.

Now disappointedly they have been taken over at Anet by the gear treadmill dungeon only crowd.

Very nice post OP.

They need to address the problems at hand before adding anything else.

Basically the problems I face with this game’s current design are:

Horizontal progression is gone: When this game launched I like many others were very happy to see here’s a company that won’t manipulate the numbers and will allow those of us who absolutely HATE dungeon crawling to be able to progress in the game without ever setting foot in a single dungeon.

So let’s recap: Magic Find gets murdered quietly without a single patch note warning us.The items normally used to gather resources for exotics from mobs in the open world are quietly removed or reduced to nothing. A special armor “Infused” is added and only drop from fractals as well as any parts needed to make Infused armors/weapons. The parts for making the new chests that we supposed to give us a chance at getting infused armor/weapons only come from chests or drop from inside the fractals or from the store. ALL of this happened in the past month and 1 week of updates.

So exactly how is this the manifesto again? Exactly how are those of us who despise dungeon runs, you know the majority of mmo players today, whom you attracted with the manifesto, how are we supposed to progress exactly? How is forcing us into doing dungeons giving us more options in gameplay? How is that giving us a broader progression? And more importantly how is preventing us from getting the materials we need to continue our crafting of these new items supposed to help us progress horizontally at the same rate that those who dungeon crawl are progressing?

And I’m not even touching on how broken Engineers are atm because there are bugs in this class that have been there since BWE that no one has addressed.

So exactly what is attractive about your game anymore Anet? Why should I as a PVE gathcraftsplorer login at all? Why have you done these things to completely make a 180 from your original design that was focused primarily on attracting players like me?

Let me just add too, why not give us the mats to at least make something, like four of the same types of items to at least try in the mystic forge or the mats that we need to make the exotic armors and weapons….

Well the one BIG issue with it is the majority of players are already level 80 who needed better weapons.

Why in the world they thought it was a good idea to have anything but level 80 exotics for the drops from this massive boss fight is beyond me.

MF didn’t do a single thing for anyone wearing the entire set in my guild.

As usual they didn’t address the problems with these mechanics and make the rewards for events like these actually reward people properly.

Very disappointed in the rewards system for this event.

The boss fight was epic, it was fun, it was nice. But someone dropped the ball when it comes to the rewards for this BIG TIME. Level 80’s for a boss fight like this should drop nothing less then level 80 items especially with MF buffs on.

And Let me be clear, I do appreciate the bag (VERY MUCH NEEDED THANKS!) and the trinket those were nice. The issue i had was with the weapons.

PvE build: P/S+grenades... advice?

I use a bit of both and switch between the two.

I use 20/30/10/0/10. I chose invis when immobilized because Orr is horrendous to gather anything in. Running along and bam something stops you and pulls you back.

Also, I keep the faster gadgets handy and the run speed increase from equipping a kit.

I use the bomb kit and sometimes the charr hidden pistol depending on solo or not the goggles and the Elixir U I have the rune of rage on my main weapon and rune of the pirate on my shield.

So basically I get a random quickness buff when fighting, i crit on one of the mobs usually setting it off, when that one is done I use the hidden pistol unload toolbelt ability with my manual Elixir U or if soloing i switch to my bomb kit blind and then use it.

I chose specific things like 2% fire on crit, 20% longer burn times, piercing bullets and 10% more damage on explosives. I’m a bit in between. Seems to work tho.

I also use the supply crate elite alot. Keeps me free to do other things instead of trying to manually control a mortar with limited range or having my war party die almost instantly after a summons.

Engi Or Ele?

Until they fix the gaping holes in our class I would suggest going ele…they seem to love that class. They buff it and buff it constantly. It’s my last mmo all over again where mages were given everything and no one else would play any other class because they were all nerfed to death.

Expect everyone to be eles and warriors in the future Anet if you continue this trend.

I’ve just finished the game and am now going around doing the lower areas i missed. But after seeing how much more powerful warriors and elementalists are compared to engineers i cannot bring myself to play this game anymore. I use pistol pistol because i enjoy the abilities on it and im constantly told by engineers in my guild im useless if i dont use grenades. Thats all i see now from engineers, grenades! I should be able to use whatever weapon i want and be able to compete with the power of other engineers and other classes.

I just want this game to be the balance MMO that arena net said it would be and not have to be forced to play one of two overpowerd classes. What are your thoughts on this?

I completely agree. Warriors in the same gear as me three shot or one shot enemies while I’m still firing my pistol like a mad person trying to kill just one.

It’s ridiculous how imbalanced this one class is. Sure it’s a support class with lots of options but when those options DON’T WORK what are we left with?

Pigeonholing us into a single play style because kits miss, don’t buff us, don’t scale with gear, pistols don’t do any damage, rifles do little more but our ammo on rifles don’t hit multiples. The list of inconsistencies goes on and on.

I posted here many times about this. STOP nerfing what little abilities we DO have in the one single viable spec we DO have to play with and fix the ones that don’t work ANET.

What is the point of having a class that has sooooo many options but then making it so that we HAVE to play with only 1 option end game because all the rest are broken or nerfed into oblivion??? Someone at Anet explain to me how that works please.

It would help those who have alts definitely! Every game like this has gone thru problems with alts being leveled quickly after the content for leveling has already been well experienced.

I vote yes. Or they could give us karma bought item sets that give a bonus to xp pre level 70. Either would do for me.

yes! We need collectibles storage for holiday mats the mats for the new zone and many of the original collectibles like crafted prep items for cooking for example.

They have begun to do that I can’t complain about it now that they’ve started doing what they promised. I hope it continues into the future, I personally do not want anymore content and want them to take those resources they have for the new content and put them to work to fixing the problems we’ve been experiencing since this game was in BWE3.

Like incessant misses on engineer kits, and imbalances between the scout classes and other classes (and I don’t mean nerfing scout classes more, what i mean is fixing Cond/healing damage and abilities so they are on par with other classes.)

Like having 4 abilities on the support engineer do the exact same regen buff with no initial heal. Or the vent smoke ability only blinding once then entire 6 seconds it takes for the smoke to clear instead of 3 times like on the other classes that use a similar type of ability.

Those kinds of problems. (And keep in mind, I don’t pvp so my complaints are all pve centric only)

It’s setup per account right now so i can understand the need for per character customization for pvp. I personally have no need for this but I advocate for it because other people should be able to customize as they please in any game.

The problem is this. NOW that it IS a requirement to run dungeons to get anything to drop this will be an ongoing thing.

Please don’t insult my intelligence by claiming it’s not required.

1: drops significantly and in most cases almost completely stopped in open world. (against the manifesto)

2: drops increased in dungeon up to a point where DR begins. (against the manifesto)

3: items needed to make the new chests only being found in the chests themselves or in the new dungeons only. (against the manifesto)

When i say it’s against the manifesto this is what I mean. At no time should anyone be required to step 1 toe into a dungeon for anything in regards to items needed for end game progression. Requiring such means that people are pigeonholed into a single play style, they are required to do only 1 play style to progress, and it flies in the face of everything that the manifesto stands for. We were promised horizontal progression, not vertical, we were also promised that we would never ever have to step into a dungeon for anything that we could get the things we need in open world events and or loot.

Infused armor combined with the requirement (however quiet it’s still there) in game to go to a dungeon for either drops for salvaging or for mats for chest creation, has started to trend of people discriminating against those who wear armors they think shouldn’t be worn in dungeons (dungeons the only place to farm).

See the trend? This is why so many of us were against infused armors. It’s begun and it’s only going to get worse the harder and more buggy these dungeons will be in the future.

I even read a post today that’s requesting future dungeons should actually have a requirement of infused armors instead of rares. SMH whether Anet wants to admit it publically has started the discrimination trend.

Deaf players and guilds requiring Vent/TS

Fractals seem to require a vent of somekind even tho the game itself doesn’t in most cases. If they are the type of player who likes the harder content, it’s sad that this game indirectly requires that of people in order to be successful.

Kinda another reason so many of us want a direct return to the manifesto instead of their recent required dungeon runs for progression.

Add "harassment" to the reportng options

Outside of constantly training mobs on you, how would someone harrass you that a block wouldn’t take care of?

Oh I’d say that three players at the end of one of the jump puzzles who have built turrets there killing players trying to complete their map is harrassment, and that’s right off the bat that comes to mind.

The other thing is running thru tapping an enemy just long enough to get cred and then running off especially the karka since it takes forever to kill em and then coming back a few moments later to loot.

Or starting an event and running off entirely. Had that happen.

My problem with MF is that it’s not working the majority of the time i wear it. When i have 0 MF on then I get more drops and more greens then anything (and occasionally I get rares) I calculated today (if they all stack that is) that I estimate my MF to be about 278% when i have my full set with pirate runes, omnom bars, both guild buffs going at once and my luck rune is at full 25 buffs and I still get nothing most of the time.

There’s something wrong with this. Why does it drop less when the % is so high when it should do the opposite, why do i get more greys with this then at any other time, and why does it not have an indicator somewhere on my character screen telling me what my real percentage is at?

Oh god how i miss the hearth stone or the return to the place of your birth abilities. I never thought I would say this but at this point i would absolutely not complain about giving up a single slot in my inventory for a free port. Absolutely agree!

Yeah we definitely need all of those end game crafting mats to have a place in the collectibles slots in the bank because they do tend to take up too much space.

We do need a better LFG tool for both personal stories, and dungeons. We need the ability to just port into a personal story wherever we are in the tool. The dungeons not so much. The reason i say this for the personal story is due to not being able to see the sparkly the other person sees, and also due to the fact that you’d open personal stories up for everyone to see. It would no longer be limited to just who you know and what they happened to have chosen people would be able to join those all day long.

I personally would like them to address the long laundry list of problems that the engineers have suffered since before launch looong before they add any new content in the future. That way we can actually play our characters the way they were intended instead of being pigeonholed into not being able to use our kits in combat effectively.

Scale kits to gear, make kits give buffs when equipped much like the eles now have with their weapons, make turrets have only a ten second cooldown when we pick them up to be put back down elsewhere.

More real challenges, less headaches

The thing that gets me the most is there are huge problems with the combat with the mobs there. I am one of the few people who play thief PVE. I use my thief because she has the best escape abilities. If they had actually done testing on the Karka they would have known before this content was launched that they can see directly thru any stealthed or cloaked ability right off the bat with their aoe, barbs, and web attacks. What’s worse is they specifically target you if you are stealthed.

The second thing is this. There are NO resources here. WHERE are all the resources? Seriously. There’s like 3 nodes of the stuff we need for end game gear. There’s not a single recipe for chef that gives MF from the fruit on this island. The resources like Orchalcum and Ancient wood are almost nil. The drops here are horrendous, the mf doesn’t help a bit.

An example of problems with mf. We need clarification on what stacks and what doesn’t. We need clarification on what it does because I’ve estimated (if everything stacks) that I have at any guild run thru a zone 278% total mf and almost nothing drops off anything. This is your plan for horizontal progression? keeping people from getting the items they need to salvage for the parts to either sell or make their armor?

For example, gossamer cloth. It’s nearly impossible to get any and it’s even worse to try to buy it.

And concerning the new content. Why are these chests specifically setup to require that we buy them first to get them going? Sure we can create them only AFTER we get an ingredient only found inside one of these boxes! No one else finds this to be an issue? And don’t tell me it’s in the fractals whatever happened to not having to play a single dungeon, where did that go out the window with the rest of the manifesto? I as a gathcraftsplorer should not have to set foot in any dungeon for anything. That’s why I was attracted to your game because your manifesto promised us we shouldn’t have to do that to progress.

Absolutely agree.. the new content needs to be tested, the changes to the classes need to be tested LOOONG before launch because if this content has taught you anything Anet, being vague about how things work prior to release, and not squashing bugs on launch day that should have been gone before the new stuff is released is exactly what a PTR is for.
