Last night i duo roaming with a thief of my guild. That work really well.

I have a AH build, very tanky with good dps and good amount of healing power. I have a LOT of blinds, blocks, might stacks and condition removal trough shouts (PoV).

He play very tanky thief with condition damage. With a lot of blind and interrupt.

We can mitigate a lot of damage via blinds and blocks, i have a lot of healing to myself, and regeneration, if he is about to die i can nuke him with healing more than 50% of his health pool instantly.

We cant nuke someone, but they cant nuke us, and we have a LOT of sustainability. We win over time in most situations.

They gonna buff for sPvP for competitive tournaments only. For “not nerf or fix” the condition apply and re-apply system. For “balanced” competitive match they gonna adjust some classes to current meta. And guardian is still in a good position in high level or organized tPvP teams.

For PvE? PvE is not competitive, is a lot easier to balance something vs AI and nobody complain to much about.

For WvW is a lot harder because you havent structural rules like sPvP (capture and hold points, etc.) is a lot situational and a lot of situation and combinations is a lot more chaotic (sPvP is a lot limited in items too)

They dont care about WvW, is just a big minigame inside pve and a lot harder to balance.

If you want to chase then spec for mobility :

Flashing Blade : insta 600 teleport
Judge’s Intervention : insta 1200 teleport
Leap of Faith : 600
Binding Blade : pull

Not that bad IMO.

You can chase, but you cant stop them. CC dont work for stop enemies in this game, is way to short, is mostly for interrupt. You need soft cc for stop enemies, 5 sec of cripple for example, in a short CD, like warrior have. Because, you as melee, need to keep enemies in melee range, like warrior have.

I am using runes of hydromancy in both weapons (GS and Sword) to helpme with chill, at least i have 3 second chill every 10 sec, i need to do this because arenanet fail in the design of a melee class for wvw pvp. The design works well with AI or sPVP where you need to hold a position.

Yeah, warrior is so lack of thing, need more. Need to be “all-in-one” class.

Add this new utilities:
Clone warrios: summon 3 clones to fight with you, all with hammers, 26k+ health and healing signet.
The ninja warrior: stealth for 20sec, recover all your adrenaline, health and reset every CD (even rewards CD, dungeons, daily and month events).
Warrior’s best friend: summon a champion pet to help in battle, you can sacrifice him to get the loot. You can ride him too for 50% movement speed and new set of siege abilities like golems.

I feel like a melee class that can’t manage to stay on target easy enough and always having to wear runes of melandru + dogged march+ lemongrass and dedicate most of my utilities to condition cleanse to just stay up in wvw and tPvP. PvE I beat the hell out of everything with my full zerker gear and gs because they dont dodge.

Play a guardian and tell what you feel.

My first class I got to 80 was guardian and I can stay on my targets quite easy. GS leap, Sword teleport, Judges, Plenty of ways to get in and out. Half the time I am ranged though with a scepter so it doesn’t even matter.

Guardian – 2 teleports 1 leap without sacrificing a utility slot for a long cooldown sprint. Escaping from combat involves finding targets away from the enemy to teleport to which 7/10 is not the case which leaves you with 1 leap skill to get away.

Warriors – Perma Sprint, lord knows how many leaping/dashing moves, ability to cripple, immobilise and stun, mobility trait that breaks immobilises. If the warrior really wants to leg it he’s pretty much half way across the map before you can say Sausage and Bacon.

Agreed but guardians are a pain in the kitten when warriors stay and fight :P

Guardians have the new 25% Speed Runes now.

25% is less than 33% and we have to sacrifice plenty to get the 25% speed buff effect so no.

Is not a good rune set for guardians, and any class can use them, so bad for us.

And still without soft CC and a lot vulnerable to cripple, immobilize and chill effects.

We need SOFT CC.

The best would be warrior should excel in SOFT CC, for keep enemies in melee range, and be offensive class over us.

Guardian should excel in HARD CC, to be annoying and protect our mates with interrupts and blocking or disable enemies in a more defensive way.

The reality is: Warrior have a LOT, A LOT of soft CC AND hard CC (a LOT of hard CC via utilities).
And we have few hardCC and no softCC.

This is true for all class isn’t it? While we may be a bit lacking in applying conditions, we can spec to remove them very well.

Yes, but guardian have very bad mobility, and no soft CC. You can catch them but you cant stop them, they will be keep running and running from you and even if you catch them you can only land 1 or 2 hits until they run away again.

In sPVP if they running is a win, because you need to hold a position, in wvw is pretty frustrating, you NEED someone else to kill, you are a support forever. Unless if you are glass canon and nuke them, but again, you need to take by surprise, because they just run away.

In this game there is no tank, you cant taunt, or force the enemy to attack you. Even you havent enough CC like warrior to be annoying. Any good players just ignore you in a fight. Dont matter if you are the most harder to kill, or survive a lot, the enemy just gonna to kill your mates, leave you there. There is no reason to focus you. You are only a boon machine and condition removal, yes, help a lot, but dont worth the time for kill you only for remove that from the combat, always is better to kill the glasscannon dps first. You are not a threat, just that.

In dungeons dps is the way to go. In any class. Dungeons in this game are way to easy. You need dps for a fast run but you can do it with any set or any build.

I think arenanet need to rework that skills to work as predictive path, or make it skillshoots… Is very frustrating how it works and you need to immobilize with a class with almost nothing of CC….

Problem with Hammer 3 & Sword 3

I have a problem with this two skills, idk if it because of my ping or something else.

When the enemy (in range, almost in melee) is sidewalking i miss ALWAYS hammer 3 and almost all sword 3 hits. No dodge, no blind, no miss, just pass away like no target locked.

I only can landed hammer 3 if the enemy is running in a straight line from or to me. If him sidewalk the chain just pass without miss warning, block or dodge.

With sword 3 is worst, because even if the enemy is in melee range and walk away from me even in straight line i miss all the shoots when hi is in less 600 range, no out of range warning appears, is like the enemy run faster than shoots.

Is really hard land a full sword 3 for me, the enemy MUST STAND STILL. And very situational for land a hammer 3, if the enemy sidewalk i never hit him.

I play with 200/250 ping.

i’ve said this elsewhere, i feel before fixing the Guardian so we can “fit in” the new meta, the new meta itself just has to be looked at and further polished – which will be a continuous process for the life of the game. or maybe that’s not how these games / things work. i don’t know.

what i AM trying to say is, i don’t think it’s the class’ problem currently. at least not in this case. sure it’s gonna be tough when you’re a Guard up against a group of condi bunkers. now tell me what build/what class in that situation would be able to hold off 4 condi bunkers [added: easily? or come out on top?]

going back to 1v1’s for the sake of argument, sure it might be a lot tougher to play against some of these other classes as a Guardian. but is it impossible? not even close. least in the matches and fights i’ve had.

but if one’s just to have a class that is faceroll easy, then sure go with the FotM. is that how people use that term?

i guess i enjoy the Guardian class too much. i want us to be better, but i honestly, honestly don’t feel we’re in that bad of a place right now.

We will have problem in any meta unless you play as support. Without mobility/softCC or defense against immobilization as melee class we will have bad times in any meta unless they change the rules of wvw and you need to defend and hold tiny spots like spvp.

Someone said in this post “guardian is in great position because is the best support”

The problem is that, we are only support. Any other class can fit different roles and builds, we are totally limited. We are good at support (a lot of class is good at support too) but almost useless in other roles compared with other classes.

Guardian is viable, is a great supporter. In sPvP is great bunker. In PVE is great, easy to leveling, but in pve any class is great.

The problem is his versatility in wvw, the lack of real range weapon, the lack of mobility or soft CC to keep enemies in melee range is a problem in wvw. Unless you go to zerg support or support of small roaming group, the group fill your weakness.

The reality is because your lack of mobility you will be kited a lot or just you cant chase or stop someone alone if they are running away from you because you havent soft CC. And you cant escape if someone (or many) is chasing you, is really hard and situational (need a target to blink with sword2 or JI) the mobility of the guardian.

You are too vulnerable to inmobilizes or cripples.

You havent condition damage, only burn, and is a bad condition, dont stack on intensity, only in duration. only one, really easy to clean.

You need to sacrifice a lot of attack to gain health pool, if you are tanky you have no damage. The warrior has FAR better health pool and better base stats damage for his abilities, can be pretty tanky with great damage output.

A lot of healing, a lot of blinds, boons and condition removal are your best tools.

If you wanna support, go for guardian. For anything else go for warrior.

The warrior has a lot of hard CC, soft CC, GREAT mobility (you can engage, chase and disengage to out of combat like a boss), better damage, better range weapon, good condition damage, a lot of heal regeneration (A LOT) a LOT more base heal pool (11k guardian vs 18k warrior). better base damage. Warrior has support abilities too (banners, shouts) and you have a lot of block (by time, not by attack like guardian, you can block MORE attacks) you are almost immune to immobilize effects.

My main is a guardian, full exotic and ascended i enjoy it a LOT, i love my guardian but is pretty frustrating sometimes when you cant chase anyone or you are being kited when you are alone. I have a warrior lvl36, i only play wvw, i am leveling my warrior ONLY in wvw i feel it a lot more versatile.

Weapons (specficially sword 2/3 and scepter 2/3 need to be re-worked imo), Zero hard CCs, only one condi on a moderate application rate, excessively low health pool, and a few others.

Would be great if scepter 2 has an aoe slow. And 1 second more for Scepter 3, idk if more range, maybe the actual range is fine for scepter 3.

Scepter 1 need a complete rework, yes is fast, but come on, only damage without effect? Our only “real” range weapon is a one handed (only 3 skills) with a pretty bad autoattack…

Sword 2 and 3 is fine. Maybe if sword 2 not required a target would be kinda op, because is a blink, not a jump.

Depends what do you want to do. World pve ends in level 80. You have dungeons, fractals or living world events. For dungeons i suppose berzerker is the best if you want the most efficient build for fast cleaning dungeons, but pve in this game is too easy anyways, any build work. For high level fractals i dont know.

In wvw depends what you want. And the build change a lot depends on that. The most populars builds right now is altruistic healer and healway (you can find it in this forum). I feel for frontline in zerg or roaming is better AH, and for support in zerg or support in some roamers party is better healway, really depends in your playstyle, you need to play a lot to find your way to play and adopt a build for you and custom it for your needs.

I find, after a lot of wvw, the better stats for my gameplay, how much defense or offense work well for me, how many heal, armor, power, critic, healing…

If you are new and you want to play in zerg healway is a great choice for that. You have a lot of survivability and help a lot as support.

Guardians need a passive movement speed by traits and a lot more soft CC (cripple). And a real range weapon also.

Is a failed melee class because have nothing to keep enemies on melee, enemies who are losing just ignore you and run away. Is only a support buffer or aoe condition remover right now or a holder position in at structured mechanic.

i have 28% and works pretty well, GS/sword-scepter. If you use “Save yourself” you have +20% with fury for 10 seconds and 48% is a lot hitting aoe damage, you have 1 critic by second for sure + SyS heal regeneration is a lot of incoming healing.

I totally agree with Amins and Proteus.

Is so frustrating playing a guardian right now, you are always heavily kite, your lack of mobility and defense against cripple/chill/immobilize .

You cant keep enemies in melee because you havent soft CC or any kind of slow. The enemy if is losing just walk away and you cant do nothing about that.

Vs condition build you ll have a BAD time, you are maybe the best condition remover in the game, you ll remove condition until you die, just that, you ll die anyways, the re-apply of conditions is FAR superior than you condition removal. You ll be always chilled, or crippled. You can blink (you cant jump because of slow impairment) and hit one or two blows, no more. And you havent decent range weapon.

Roll a warrior, far superior and better designed.

+25% Movement Speed

we dont need swiftness, we need cripple, or chill, like warrior. +25% passive by trait or utility would be great, we are a melee class without melee tools to keep enemies close to us.

I feel the guardian is so lack of viable spots or ways to play. Guardian need viable spirit weapons, need speed, need soft CC, need condition option and need viable range option too.

Guardians need a trait speed buff, not a rune hard to fit in some builds with some useless stats for guardians. We need to sacrifice our runes to gain speed…

Now with this runes, if we dont use it in ours builds, we have very bad times, with more players with +25% movement speed if they use this runes…

Guardians is a melee class almost without decent range weapons and NO TOOLS for keep enemies in melee, a lot vulnerable to inmobilize, chill and cripple spam, and with few gap closer. See the warrior with a lot of cripples, passive movement speed, a lot of gap closer, reduction to inmobilizes and cripples, that work great with a melee class.

We are a static buff tower, we are support for ever. Zerg buffer or hold a possition in a structured pvp mechanic. We can try another ways to play, but with heavy movement difficulties and lack of soft CC.

You do nothing after the first burst because you invest in defense and not in attack. Take stats point you spend in vitality and toughness and put that in power. Is for that is to easy to build a condition tank, you only need one stat for be effective the rest in defenses.

And yes, they are EASY to re-apply. The only problem is your own CD, there is nothing to impediment you to re-apply them, there is no defense or resilience against. And you have a plenty of attacks or utility (even runes, sigils or traits) to re-apply stacks.

Question about siege weapons in borderlands

I play in a low population server, in the night we are so few in our borderland, right now we are facing mid population server, every night they come to our borderland and take all keeps and towers, every night.

In night we are groups of 5, and they come with zergs of 15-20.

Organized guilds places a LOT of siege in bay, hills or garrison even in towers for night defense. With that siege few players can stop that invasions of 15 or 20 players in nights, superior siege, well placed.

The problem is if that guildmembers are not online, the pug players dont refresh that siege and that siege gone…

One good solution for that situation (low population server in night time) increase the refresh time in the night time, from 1 hour to 2 or 3 hours. That would be great. Sometimes is hard to organize for someone keep in wvw for refreshing siege.

Condition mechanics is so basic here. Is black or white… you remove them avoiding all damage and cc or just take them and die or being kited… Is -duration buff vs +duration buff… And only one stat for effectiveness letting you invest all in defense.

We need some defense against.

Or some kind of resilience vs the re-apply of them. (less duration after remove one kind of condition)

Or some kind of incoming condition queue vs that spamming mechanic. (maximum number of active condition at time, the rest in queue for 5s i.e., if any condition is remove the next in queue go in, if 5s pass in queue the queue condition is removed)

In one second you have 6 conditions or more with damage AND CC or debuff effects… Even if you remove all of them is TOO easy to re-apply that if removed.

For those who said “thats kill the condition build” well… is fair if you need another stat besides condition damage, if you only have condition damage is like you only have attack power without critic, or critic without critical damage or power. The problem is “you want to do full damage with ONLY one stat”, invest in power and condition damage and you have more chance and ways to do damage. Like every no-condition build.

The current mechanic is just to basic to work well.

Sigil of Hydromancy in wvw.

I tested it yesterday night, that sigil is amazing. In dual i cast aoe chill every 9 seconds. I jump on someone (GS3 or Sword2) swap weapons and chill him for 3 seconds.

Chill is too powerful in this game. More for a guardian with lack of soft CC to keep enemies in melee range.

Fishergrip, i am trying GS/Sword with rare items right now (i am so poor, i only play wvw..)

I feel dual sigil hydromancy aoe fit better with both melee than one range. And give me more mobility with that blink.

Sometimes i change the scepter for sword or both for hammer.

I fell a lot of lack of soft CC in the guardian, cripple or chill. The majority of times the enemy just run away far from my melee attacks, and i dont have a high damage output with scepter only. I can use chains and jumps (GS3 or sword2) but they just jump away again or run more with passive signet or swiftness and kite me.

Someone have tested this sigils to improve that point in wvw?

Completely dumb post imo. I think the allowance of stacking free stats gives great flexibility to builds. PLus the op’s logic makes no sense. Since everyone can do it. No one really has a problem with it.

When you see these gvg farming groups (for wxp) attaining mastery’s far quicker than normal players who actually wvw. They always have advantage with extra vit and power. At least with this free stacking normal player can balance things out.

Skilionaire, like to you or not, even if you think is dumb or have no logic, is not how supposed to work. And they will fix it.

To your “logic” the best way will be arenanet give to everyone 250 free stats to spend in whatever their want… right? Afterall everyone can stack or use that bug, and is so useful, why waste everyone time farming stacks? just free stats for everyone without cost… right? To “balance their builds”

Guardian need more mobility, is too frustrating trying to catch someone in a game that almost all profession excel in mobility. Is not only the lack of mobility, is the lack of soft CC, like cripples/chills to keep enemies in melee range. Or some decent range weapon. Not only one “one-handed” range weapon.

Right now, in WvW, warrior excel guardian by far. In mobility, tankiness, damage, CC (omg, too much hard and soft CC) the health regeneration is so broken… thats (by time) block you can block EVERYTHING, not only 3 hits.

As i said, i have a level 80 guardian full exotic, and a level 36 warrior (only leveled in wvw) and works great even in that level.

Would be great if Arenanet...

Everyone who defend this bug just got used to it. You should realize if this is a bug, someday will be fixed, learn to live without that free stats.

Your arguments is “i want more power for my hero”, just that.

The simple fact of EVERYONE MUST HAVE a alternate weapon set with these sigil to get maximum stats is just ridiculous. There is not options or variety on that, only do it or not for 250 more stats.

I see a lot of bug exploiters crying, amazing.

The full charge sigil do nothing? 250 power! what else you want? infinite stacks?

The problem is not weapon swap, the problem is unequip that weapon, retain the sigil effect you are NOT using, and GAIN another sigil effect in that place.

Used to balance your build? guess what, player who dont exploit that bug balance their build without that 250 free stats points.

Anyone can do this? Yes. Anyone can hack too, right? The sigil is bugged, some players exploit it. That is the point, is not how the sigil must work, or balanced for.

That sigil is not underpower, you can chose between less but secured damage (5% fixed), or more damage but with the risk you can lose it. Is fair. But who exploit that bug use “250 from stack + 5% fixed + another if offhand” to burst down enemies.

Fix the stacking sigils.

If you don`t have equipped the weapon with that sigil (on main or alternate slot) you MUST lose the stack.

Is like “a one more virtual slot for a sigil” if you can just charge it and change the weapon to your backpack and continue with that stacks AND another new effect from the new set of weapons equipped (in main or alternate slot).

That must be stopped because is a lot more damage for free from a sigil you dont have.

I have a full exotic lvl80 guardian and a lvl36 warrior.

I play both on wvw (i level up my war in wvw only)

Dont make a guardian, make a warrior.

-As a guardian you are good in tpvp , you only need a lvl1 guardian to play it.
-As a guardian you are good in zerg, you can do it safe in zerg at low level with green items anyways.
-As a guardian you gonna had a BAD time with range or kites classes, only necros lacks on mobility like you, you have too few gap closer and you have almost nothing to keep them close (slows, roots, speed you up) , you just can hold a position, tank if the enemy dont just ignore you and attack only your allies, and just buff.
The main problem of guardians is his lack of mobility and CC to keep them in melee range, and your range weapon is so limited, only 1 one handed weapon with 3 skills, and one of them is situational to do full damage, and the AA is just too low in damage without side effects (no bleeding, etc…)

You lose a lot of damage potential because you cant melee hit them continuously. Guardian have a lot of damage bursting with berserker, jump-and-nuke them only in one move.


A warrior can be more tanky than a guardian (time block, not hit block) you can block 20 enemies hits, not just 1 or 3 like guardian. And you have a lot of them (shield block, endure pain, endure pain trait) for one hit block you have mace and sword.
-As a warrior you havent healing powers but you have a lot more regeneration.
-As a warrior you have a lot of mobility.
-As a warrior you have a lot of CC. A LOT.
-You can jump to enemies and stick to him very easily.
-You can be less kite because you are almost inmune by traits to inmovilize effect (auto stability, root time reduction, jump to go out inmobilizations)
-You have a lot more damage.
-You have a lot more condition damage
-You have better stats (more free health, more for others stats instead of vitality)
-You have better range options.
-You can support as well with shouts and banners. Maybe not that good as guardian but good at all.

There are poeple who like to work for better gear. Exotic is extremely easy to get and doesn’t give the feel of achievement. It is very common to RPGs (not only MMOs) that the BiS gear needs work to get. Also, it is here to keep players busy until there is new content.

You want a achievement? Craft skins, not stats. Harder skins look better.

Why should I not be able to use the ascended weapons I am going to craft in WvW?

Really, they are FINALLY making crafting useful. Everybody will have access to ascended weapons through crafting, so why should everybody gets downgraded to exotic? If I will spend my time and gold leveling up my crafting skills and crafting my ascended stuff, why can’t my opponents in WvW do the same?

What if you have a group with 10 people all with exotic gear vs a group all in rares?
Or a group with 10 people all with rare gear vs. a group all in greens?
Green vs. Blue?
Blue vs. White?
Let’s downgrade every equipment to basic levels, then?

Because rise the stats of every player by force (because you must upgrade it for wvw, like it or not) and not by will for keep them playing this game is a terrible bad idea. Look at WoW. A non-stop rising levels and items tiers hitting and healing a CRAZY amount… You just upgrade numbers, and everyone upgrade it too, defense and offense, is all a lie. Just for keep players farming items (or crafting it)

They must use profession in a better way to keep players playing. You must can craft skins, to apply to weapons, or sell it. Same stats, keep in exotic, crafted skins (better than commons, but not better than legendary) you add visual variety to this game, players do it by will (because they want look better, not because they must be in the same level of other players).

In the last month i was very disappointed, by the insane farming events and this addition to powerlevel. I belived this game will be diferent when them promote as “no farming game”

The problem is not only win or lose, the problem is fighting vs nobody, is not even fun. You can lose or win a great battle, you can talk about that epic battle even if you lose it, with proud. But, assault a keep or tower with only npc inside?? is really that fun? Sure, you win the PPT, but there is no battle, no war.

I get boring when i log in wvw and i cant find pvp or the possibility to take something trough challenge fighting. I get bored when we matched up vs dead wvw servers, they morale was totally broken, only few players play wvw in thats servers… And i get bored when i log in and only find 30+ zerg and we are only 4 players, because you cant fight at all… you cant do nothing, dont even try, only back to pve and wait for more players connected.

My point that arenanet encourage the transfer to mid/high tier server for those player who actually want to do wvw seriously with the actual ppt system, despite if the player really want to help his low tier server.

You cant help your server when you are HEAVILY outnumber, and every night you lose a lot of PPT, play the next day to recover the position has really no sense, because at night you will lose the double. So you stop playing it or just enter to do pvp in the SM gate just for fun.

I have a build based on brutaly.6257 guide. I am very tanky with a good damage output and good critical chance and damage.

But i want a little more power to this build, i dont want a 14k output damage. I want yours opinion which stat i should lower to get more damage and what offensive stat i should raise to get better damage, more critical? more power?

I gonna to try change my sigil for battle sigil. But i dont wanna drop my HP below 16k as foofad said. Maybe lowering a little my healing power for gain some attack damage. But not below 1k.

I wish to run hold the line, but save yourself is way better (stunbreak, a lot of high duration buff, remove condition on allies) and i really feel i need retreat, i can stick to some enemies with 20s swiftness, i can travel long distances without staff changing and i can get a great mobility to go out of combat (aegis and long duration swiftness) taking some distance a few seconds to get my abilities out of CD and come back. I use a LOT retreat, and work great with my playstyle. I dont need more survivability, i am fine with it, i need more damage…

I see a lot of players charge stacks on sigil of bloodlust with another weapon, maybe i should do that…

I’m pretty sure people from other time zones feel the same when they wake up and look at their map totally lost during NA hours.

You can do one of three things.

1) Never post a complaint telling anyone to fix it without a suggestion for improvement. What I’m saying is, don’t expect someone else to know the answer if you dont have one yourself.

2) Do like everyone else and recruit guilds.

3) Transfer

4) Anything else I’ve missed?

Lastly, you never mentioned what server you’re from. Unless you’re from a server at the bottom like Eredon Terrace, you really don’t have much to complaint about.

Other timezones? The high populated asian/oceanic server has a LOT of NA players, a lot. They can cover 24/7 wvw. That is the problem vs server without big asian/oceanic guilds.

1) My suggestion does not matter, because i dont work on arenanet. Is not that simple offer a suggestion when you have NO idea what happen inside the company and you dont know a lot of thing the company may deal with.

2) We are recruiting, we are doing a lot of effort, the problem is “we havent enough player in night to deal with a high population night server” for the enemy is just conquer a empty map. That is the purpuose of wvw? Fighting with NPCS? And may be boring for players in asia, enter in wvw and havent enemies to fight with… Is not a 30vs20 situation, is a 30vsNobody situation.

3) transfer? lol… is for players like you some server wvw activity is dead.

Is not about my sleep schedule.

By default, every day, you lose ALL your keeps and towers in EB and your BD, BY DEFAULT every night. You lose all your effort during the day by double. And every night, the high asian/oceanic population server win a lot of PPT for FREE vs nothing. They siege a empty building with only npc resistance.

That is just frustrating. Wake up every day and see all your map lose and a lot of point difference because of 5+ hours of free PPT. I dont care lose a good battle, or battle a hard server, there is no battle at all you just lose that points, and if they are 2 servers like that in you current match up you have a secured third place despite what you do or how good you play in the NA/LA prime time.

I have A LOT of survivability and mobility (GS3 / Sw2 and Retreat). But i am very short of damage, how can i improve the damage output a little at least, what stats i should lower to get more power? Worth getting more power?

Also, i feel i am having low heal pool. Is true i can fill it very easy with my healing power, but maybe is a little low. I can clear conditions easily with my shouts but sometimes is a problem when some profession spam it a lot, also my armor is not the best and some critical hit drop my health to 50%. (I get 3200 armor with SiN)

Should i lower my critical rate? If i do, my healing power get lower or my HP pool, because i get healing power/vitality from magi. If i run full cleric i have a very low hp, if i run some soldiers trinkets i get less healing power. Also my critical chance let me active often EM and that help a lot in the middle of a battle (more power and heal through AH). With 30% critical chance i critical hit very often.

Should i change my armor runes? If i do maybe my healing power lower and i feel thats boons durations are great, even more with a shout build, i get more seconds of protection, regen and retaliation.

Whats are your opinions?

- Match up with a high asian/oceanic server population. Even better vs two.

Result: Even less wvw players for low tier servers.


Low tiers and low-mid tiers servers dont have a high wvw population, and this gonna worse when you start your wvw day and you only have a few camps and the citadel. New and average wvw players just back to farm fest and pve.

I play a lot of night wvw, and is just frustrating, we are always 5/10 players without commanders groups vs 30 players zergs, they just clear a empty map, they kick you out of eternal and then invade a empty bd without resistance, you cant do nothing, just try to find some roamers to do some kind of pvp until the zerg coming. And this happen EVERY NIGHT

That asian/oceanic servers with a high night and decent or high day activity just has a LOT of free points over night. You can battle with a lot of effort in the day, but when night come you loss everything you win with a lot of sacrifice over the day, more when you are a server fighting out low tier with low wvw population but with great commanders skills and average wvw players. THIS ONLY DISCOURAGE the few night pve/farm players to starting play wvw because they are always outnumbered.

Please, try to fix it.

-NA/LA times for official PPT. Not 24/7 wvw PPT.
-Match up considering the same hourly population besides the server skill level.
-Do something about massive guild server transfers.

Arenanet, you SHOULD encourage low tiers servers to play more and better, NOT snowball high tier server even more.

So, it’s not stealth that’s the problem, but rather thief mechanics and their copious access to stealth?

Number of times “Thief” appears in OP: 8
Number of times “Mesmer” appears in OP: 1 (and in reference to a semblence of balance no less)
Number of times “Ranger” appears in OP: 0

Sure, is like you say. The thief can spam it. Ranger and mesmer not. That is the problem. That is we need a anti spamming debuff. You must be better at that and do it wisely.
