I wouldn’t be surprised if the wings ended up being able to be used as a glider skin. I played the stress test and the glider pretty much sticks out of your back like a pair of wings, without the appearance of wings. It definitely didn’t look like a regular glider.
I’m almost positive that the woman in charge of the Scavenger Hunt left Anet right after that. Not sure why someone else didn’t/couldn’t/wouldn’t take over after that.
Also, I’m pretty sure that by “handful”, they meant the first set, with other sets coming later.
In between the last living story and the HoT expansion would have been the perfect time to turn SAB back on for us. Even if it was just the old stuff and not an update.
My internet seems to be fine too. I can watch videos and stuff with no issues. I can even play most of GW2 with no issues. It’s just those certain Ranked matches, so I want to know what’s up. LOL
I keep experiencing major lag spikes while in ranked matches. This only occurs in certain matches, not all of them. I also never have this issue in PvE or WvW (even in major Stone Mists battles).
Is something wrong with the PvP servers? Or is it a sign of people botting/hacking?
I want that version of Sylvari as a playable race! Maybe we can eventually find them in the Woodland Cascades, but they can be a “new” race instead of Sylvari. At least all the armor would already fit them.
I don’t think Kasmeer’s “gift” is really a hint. Mesmers are already revealed as being somewhat telepathic, but hiding the ability to keep people from fearing them. I think her “gift” is just that.

Lore wise it wouldn’t even make sense, a land which was completely dead and corrupted is not going to be completely healed in just 3 years and have forest and beautiful landscapes that takes many many years.
I can see what you’re saying, but Orr was “healed” by magic and not just from rising out of the sea and natural growth. As I told someone earlier, I think it would make sense to start showing bits of growth (like grass and a few trees/bushes) closer to the outskirts of Orr. Places like Straits of Devastation, that are closer to “normal” areas like Fort Trinity. Possible some of the shoreline for Malchor’s Leap. I don’t feel there should be cities or major event changes yet.
I especially think this would make sense, because Anet is pretty vocal about wanting a living world, that constantly changes as you stay with the game. What better way to show that, than to show the repercussions of actions and events that were supposed to have occurred in the game years ago?

It’s still extra work. Devs will have to be diverted from the the expansion. And again, are you trying to say that y’all will be hanging out in Orr after the expansion comes out? If not, why should they do that extra work for you when the new people would undoubtably prefer it to match their personal story.
That’s an asinine question, but I’ll answer you anyway. I still play ALL OVER Tyria, despite the new areas that have been added. It also doesn’t seem to take them a lot of effort to reskin places like HotM or the WvW maps for holiday events, so I doubt something like changing dirt to grass or coral to shrubs and trees is going to be that hard for them.
I already addressed the difference between the PS and an updated version of Orr. I see you ignored that too. Feel free to keep making pointless comments though.
That kinda sucks. The world should update along with the expansion.
That would be a nice feature, It doesn’t have to be all of Orr otherwise the personal story wouldn’t make much sense but maybe some areas on the borders could be cleansed without interfering to much.
That’s actually what I was thinking. Start showing the outer parts of Malchor’s Leap and stuff growing grass and trees. Not really saying events should change or leave.
Although, there’s really no reason not to leave non-HoT maps the way they are and just send PS people to that version of the map for their story, while having the HoT version showing signs of healing.
if any updates to Orr occur it will only happen through the living World, HoT is all about our journey through Maguuma.
Having said that, its only been 2 years ingame time since the death of Zaitan. It will take a while for there to be visible signs of healing.
For you it’s been 2 years. For new players it hasn’t happened yet. Orr should be left alone so that new players can go in and see it the way it’s supposed to be for them.
Soon enough the level 80s who are done with the old maps will be in the new expansion playing. At that point, does anyone think they will really care if Orr is cleansed or not?
Actually, you have that backwards. The Devs have stated that the PS takes place in the PAST. There’s no legitimate reason that people that buy HoT cannot have an update Orr (or any other place in the world). It wouldn’t be any different than Pre and Post-Searing in GW1. If you don’t want to do the main game, you don’t see the new stuff. Pretty simple.
Do we know for a fact that there will be no new race? I mean, that trailer specifically points out “New Civilizations”, so maybe that’s a nod to a new race? They could always flat out state that later on.

No, the first two are natural (no relaxer) styles as well.
Also, no need to be weirdly PC about it, they are black hairstyles. (though I suppose white people could achieve similar textures, but then they’d be the ones having to use lots of chemicals get that look)
There’s nothing natural about those long twists. It takes product to get it that smooth, with no flyaways, unless it’s not her actual hair, but a weave. The knots take product too. With all the black women that do my goddaughter’s hair, I’m never heard any of them refer to those styles as “natural”.

To all the people focusing on breasts when it comes to female clothing, I have to ask: have you never seen a little girl in a dress before? Or in ANY clothing before? They can choose to wear feminine clothing without having breasts, so why can’t Asura or Charr?
I wish that they would release a few sets of “simple” armor. By that, I mean sets that don’t have a particular theme or pattern to them and can be more easily mixed around with other pieces of armor. Ex) A set of heavy boots that look metallic, without appearing to be chain or scale
I would also enjoy seeing more “dressy” armor choices available as individual pieces, so I can make certain toons appear to me more “high class”. Perfect example would be the female Noble costume high heels and the Cermonial Plated heeled boots. Either of those would mesh well with a consider chunk of the light and heavy armors respectively.
And third, more varied style options for male characters. It’s really easy for me to find a lot of varied styles for my female toons, but I feel like my guys are only able to have two or three.
They were supposed to be, anyway. Something went wrong – or right – due to the actions of Ventari, and the sylvari got…diverted. Most of them, anyway. The creepy probability now arises that the Nightmare Court were right all along.
Also, how soon before the cries arise for Trahearne to resign as Marshal of the Pact – assuming, of course, that he even survived that battle?
I’m thinking the Nightmare Court are the ones that he managed to finally bring in line. It looked like several of them were the crazy ones in the video.
1. Running Animation as a character attribute (i.e. hair, hair color, face, skin, etc). Bring the human female running animation back so those that enjoyed it can buy it back from the store and apply it with a kit. I shouldn’t have to buy it back, but I’m willing to accept it as a tax for being a bad person. You could even add walking animations and make more for all the races and people would gobble them up. Limping, skipping, etc.
2. Idle Animations: same as running animation, character attribute. Give me my human female animations back and I’ll by them (again, because I’m a bad person) and reapply them with a kit (which I’d also have to buy). Make each animation a stand alone thing that you can apply or remove. Add more animations. Flipping a coin? Flexing? Again…gobble, gobble, gobble.

I dislike all of the weapon idles/running animations for my mesmer ‘cause they’re all hunched and aggressive instead of graceful and inviting.

My entry: Something that can reset your personal story/let you play it over again on the same character. Mostly for the reason that I accidentally chose to help the Skritt instead of Quaggan on my first character and I want to fix that without deleting her. :< But also, because I really liked the first part of the PS. Redoing the personal story wouldn’t have to keep giving you rewards, if you choose a different faction it would overwrite your previous one and convert the specific equips that depend on such variables, and you wouldn’t be able to restart the story again until you completed it.
Of course I’d love this to be a feature like the LS lets you replay those episodes, but I’d still pay a few gems for the chance.

How do they work as outfits, then, on all weight classes?
I love the logic I’m getting; ‘’it takes time and effort’’. By that logic, they can make wooden weapons, which would mean a new set of weapons every few days and people would be happy?

If I understand it correctly, the Outfits are a single piece that can be stretched and reshaped for each sex and race. So that would pretty much be ten outfits made.
With the armor, there are six separate pieces, that have to be stretched and reshaped for each sex and race. So that’s sixty different armor pieces that have to be made.

@DaveGan: As stated above, the reply is more one of surprise than anger or the desire to have the last word. I made this topic because this seems like a vast oversight on Anet’s part and I thought that they should be aware of it.
@insanemaniac: It took me months to say anything at all, so I figure my skin is decently thick. LOL
The more I play PvP, the more I noticed that I lot of players either block you and then send you nasty whispers. That needs to be fixed. It’s a bit much for people to be able to so easily harass others with no real obstacle in place.
Also, I’ve been paying attention to this for a while and verifying with guildmates and other players that they experience this too. Please remedy this.
That makes a lot of sense to me. However, my question is: Why does she seem to lack the accent that all the other Sylvari have?
Most, but not all, sylvari have the same accent. This was intentional and can be heard throughout the game. Occasionally, an actor’s performance may deviate and that might explain any inconsistencies in certain lines during a VO session.
That stated, I never perceived Faolain as having a British accent but more of a refined manner of speaking. Courtly, formal.
That’s interesting. Now, I kind of want to go back and find more of the “NonBritish” Sylvari. LOL
