I think a lot of people are really missing out on something here: Caithe and our Character weren’t supposed to be aware that Faolin started everything. We were supposed to be inside that hut, not able to see what they were doing. However, because of our third person viewpoint (and the fact that most of us have done the PS) we all know what a weed Faolin really is. At that point in time, Caithe didn’t know and trusted Faolin when she claimed that the Centaurs turned on her.
You do realize that you’ve bumped it three more times, correct?
Well, asking people to read and express their opinion would inevitably bump the thread. What is sad, is you being so concerned about it.
And yet, you came in here and bumped it again.
There’s nothing wrong with the OP encouraging people to come here and read her suggestion, especially since most players don’t even use the forums. If you don’t like this thread, then don’t click on it. The idea is a good one and should be shared with more people. If not for the odd title, it would probably have more traffic whether he/she advertised or not.
Oh! I’d love it if they brought the Zhaishen (or some version of them) back! Maybe we could have a Pact Member offering various Pact quests each day?
Seems like a valid suggestion to me. I’m a big fan of quests and I like the idea of implementing new things into the Daily Reward list.
I think it could encourage people to visit places they don’t normally visit anymore and breathe new life into old events and zones.

People seem to forget that Kiel was insistent that the Council improve defenses in LA, including air defenses, but that Magnus blew her off.
never and id be kittened if it did…. why would they sell a gemstore version WITHOUT the glow and add one with it?
I would think that they would just add a way for you to upgrade your skin to add the new effects.
I think the thing that bugs me most about the JP rewards, it that there isn’t a “big” reward for completing all of them (like a title). Unless I got it and totally forgot about it…
I don’t think boxing the Prince has anything to do with it. I finished that part, then went to help my Guildie get the Mad Memoires. He was able to get the first three, but Ewan and the other ghosts were not appearing for either of us.
I’m bumping this in the hopes of an official answer from Gaile. I’ve got several Guildies that want to finish this.
They’ve removed them before. They just come back later on. They’re most likely just making room for new skin sets.
If you still plan on playing, I’d say the pail is worth upgrading your bags to.
I posted this in another thread, then thought maybe a bigger suggestion thread would be appropriate. If there is already another thread, then I apologize.
In this topic, we can suggest viable ways that Anet could improve costumes, in the interim time it would take to make them all individual pieces (I know that is the end goal for most players).
I think there are some simple steps they could take towards fixing the Outfits to appeal to more people.
Here are my Suggestions:
1) Make the outfits Shoulder/Head gear free and allow people to use all their own Shoulder and Head skins with the costume.
2) Go ahead and make the shoes, gloves, shoulder, and head pieces from the existing costumes, into stand alone armor skins.
Option 1 gives players something nice while waiting for the costumed to be converted into armor skins. Some of those costumes have the best shoes/gloves in the whole game, that would look great with other armors (IMO)
Option 2 coverts the bulk of all the costumes into stand alone skins, buying more time to work on converting the chest and leg pieces.

I’m glad you guys liked it! You got the answer faster that I expected. That oasis clue would have taken me much longer.
Please Sir, give us more?
May we play a new game now?!
Aren’t the Canthans the ones that are very into their Heritage?
I would like to throw 4 Anet Developers into the Mystic Toilet.
Would that make one super developer? Although the idea is….interesting…the question is: Do we want to sacrifice 4 great devs for 1 better dev? Even if we did, I can’t think of anyone I would want to give up. :P
There is a rumor that there are more than one John Smith… Maybe that’s it!
We throw in John Smith + John Smith + John Smith + John Smith and we get Back “JOHN SMITH” the ultimate John Smith…
You were close, but not quite right. If you throw in four John Smiths, Zommoros gives you a Pocahontas!
My guess is that it’s either the Wings from the Raiment of the Lich costume
OR
One of the missing Weapons of the Mists. I wouldn’t mind finally getting a Staff.
I’m jealous of all of you, because I have yet to get a Fractal Spoon to drop. It’s also the last one I need. LOL
I may be wrong, but I don’t think you’re supposed to be able to take Langor by catapulting the cliff instead of the walls, from way down the cliff.
hahaha It never occurred to me to post an actual screen shot.
I may be wrong, but if you’re referring to that black stuff sticking up around the hood, I think it’s part of the headpiece. At least, it was in GW1.
It’d be awesome if those wings came as a separate back piece!
Here’s the wings we’re talking about Ham (if you don’t already know):
I miss the wings too, but they still did a stellar job! =D
This Raiment of the Lich costume is beyond awesome! It absolutely screams “Sorceress!”
Please please please, made some form of armor version of this, that has those awesome boots, but hoofless, so that it doesn’t just look like it’s Halloween only.
Thanks so much for making such an awesome costume for us!
(PS: I’m referring to the female version, I haven’t seen it on the males, Asura, or Charr)
I think Kralkatorrik and Bubbles would be a good way to send us to Elona and Cantha respectively. Maybe we can go to one of them after Mordremoth and help save those people?
Chris Whiteside has stated, numerous times, that they’re in the process of hiring more personnel to work on the forums. So, hopefully, things will look up soon and he (and a couple others) won’t be the only ones speaking on the forums.
ugh, I even searched the word “camera” before making this…
Speaking of Guild Chat, a nice QoL change would be to have Guild Chat STOP disappearing when you switch toons. Make it work like the party chat, where you can still see it. =)
When the game first started and you died, the camera swirled around until you moved it, then started swirling again if you quit moving it. It was finally changed so that, once you moved the camera, it stopped swirling and stayed where you put it.
Now, after one of the recent patches, it does the swirling thing all the time again. This makes it a bit frustrating when you spawn and the camera swirled to stare at the ground.
Could we please return the ability to stop the swirling?
So I’d envision a heavy caster to be something like a cross between elementalist and warrior. I’m tempted to call it battle mage, but the name doesn’t fit.
Take Auras and Attunements from the elementalist, shouts and stances from the warrior. Instead of having a ranged skirmisher like the ele, this would be a melee brawler.
Where as elementalist summons elementals to help fight a mob, this class would become part elemental.
Attunements would pick which elemental you take the traits of and auras would be defined by the elemental. Fire might give bonuses to damage, air for precision, water for healing power, earth for toughness. Each element would also give weapons an enhancement buff/condition.
Auras would do damage to enemies and buffs to allies within X units.
Elite skills would allow transformation into elementals similar to norn transformations.
This is why I think the Dervish would be a perfect fit. They’re a cross between fighters and mages.
(edited by videoboy.4162)
I honestly think they should just bring back the Dervish or Paragon to fill that third slot. They’re both different enough from the Warrior and Guardian to fit and, let’s be honest, neither of those classes was properly folded into any of the existing GW2 classes anyway.
A lot of people are going to say that the other races can’t be a Dervish, but who’s to say that there aren’t Charr or Sylvari that “converted” to worshipping in the Six? The Charr already freely admit that they believe in their existence and the Sylvari are always trying to learn new things, so they could fit.
I do this too. I’ve been wishing that they would make movement speed an account bound thing, just like MF, so that I didn’t have to waste a skill or runes.
Hi Chris,
I’ve been reading throughout this thread and I’ve come to wonder:
Would it be beneficial for you and the rest of the team, to post aspects of the game that you’re considering working on, and get feed back from the community about which items they would be excited to see first, so that you can allocate the most focus to that area?
For example: Perhaps you guys are thinking about working on a new dungeon, PvE-obtainable armor/skins, Cantha and Guild Halls. Then, you speak to the community and they seem most excited about the Guild Halls, so you dedicate the most resources to that first.
Note: I’m not saying you have to post everything you guys want to work on, but I thought it might increase communication between the Team and the Players and help raise community morale.
So annoyed. LOL
I just bought the Trilogy for my friend 8 days ago. Then he bought EotN.
Oooh, I also want that GW1 Lich Costume, that has the black angel wings, to come to GW2!
All of them, especially the Mesmer and Paragon armors. I also want the female armors to keep the high heels instead of having the pointlessly removed like on the Heritage set.
I think 150 gems per piece would be a fair price. Like the OP says, when 800 is divided by 6, it comes up to 133 gems. Making the individual pieces 150 gems, gives Anet a little extra profit and also makes it look like you’re saving 100 gems if you buy the whole set.
On a semi-related not, I wish they would sell the boots from the Ceremonial Plated Outfit, because I want them for my female warrior, but I know that part won’t be happening. LOL
Livia was still actively using her Necromancy during Sea of Sorrows, with no hints of Mesmer abilities.
My theory is that Anise is Livia’s daughter and has also been taught how to keep herself young.
it seems to me, that if the gw2 world is going to proceed.. the pale tree needs to die
or at least a functioning portion of the dream.. is there some sort of firewall? that if you’re evil you can’t sense the dream, because it would be pretty convenient for evil sylvari to have intimate knowledge of their entire race.. anyway, just a random thought in my head.. i think the tree avatar is going to die, but the sylvari will still be a functional race.. i kept getting an impression from the source material that the pale tree didn’t give a leaf about the non-firstborne sylvari.. basically what i’m saying is they knew about mordremoth the entire time and the consequences are in full swing now..How can the Sylvari be a functional race with the Pale tree dead?
Also, the Avatar, as far as my knowledge goes, it simply a projection. And illusion the pale tree uses to talk with.
You’re absolutely right. If you speak to the Pale Tree, as a non-Sylvari, she specifically explains that you’re speaking to a projection and that she is actually the entire Grove.
Rytlock didn’t expect his actions in the tomb to break the entire curse. His sole purpose of going into the tomb was to test his theory about the sword, before attempting to break the curse at its source.
While that would certainly make sense, it was never stated or implied. By his actions and words, he was intent upon ending the curse then and there, and I truly believe he was trying to do so.
Yes it is. He flat out tells you that is why he’s going into the Tomb first.

I’ve wondered for a long time, why they couldn’t have a special server that people were sent to when they tried to enter a story instance. That server’s maps could remain static, so that everything looked correct for the time period the instance was taking place in.
That could even be a short term solution, while they worked out something better.
Yeah, I knew they weren’t physically connected. I just thought it was supposed to give the illusion of being a single entity, with either the wrist dragon or neck dragon. However, it doesn’t color properly with either.
@ Spoj: I see it now, I was looking at the other hip. I don’t see it in Rhapsody’s pictures though, so maybe it’s our graphic settings doing it?
@ Rhapsody: I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be a serpentine Dragon and that the upper part is the tail. It’s scaly like a dragon tail, but maybe you’re right.
My biggest issue is if you dye it so you can see the pattern. You can also clearly see a clipping glitch on the hip (can even see it on your second pic lol). If you dye the pattern all the same its not really noticeable. Kind of ruins the dye options. :<
I don’t see the glitch on the hip. Are you talking about the cutout in the fabric where the skin shows?
Also, I don’t really want a lot changed. I was just kind of hoping they would/could take the upper part of the dragon and place it in the same dye channel as the lower part of the dragon, so that it would look like once piece/accessory. I figured since it was an outfit and not a single armor piece, it might be easier to accomplish. I probably should have been more clear in my initial post.
