There are other issues with Mega too;
Megadestroyer is also dead before this season takes place since the snapshot of Mt Maelstrom is prior even to killing Zhaitan. Shatterer is replaced each time and Tequatl is a bit anomalous because (sort of) he gets defeated, falls into the water, absorbs some of Zhaitans magic and returns more powerful before we kill/defeat him, so whilst he is stuck in a time loop, it’s one that makes sense.
He is also not unique as we see in Sorrows Embrace (although that one appeared slightly smaller?).Whatever Lt(s) serve Primordus now, have yet to reveal themselves – I’m hoping we see something with the next episode if we got back to the RoF, if not I’m really hoping the expac will bring one in along with Drakkar for Jormag.
I just hope these aren’t in the top of the ranks in primordus’ army because if that the case i cant imagine how much of a joke primordus would be. And thats sad because he was the first to awake and he holds a special spot for many ppl
Right now Primordus is still lacking a proper luitenant. There are some that will say the Megadestroyer is his luitenant, again some will completely deny this as the megadestroyer is nothing more than another random but bigger destroyer.
Now that we’ve moved into the living story, to a point where Primordus is securing his spot at the top of the food chain, isn’t it about time we get a proper world boss for the king of destruction?
TBF, since the megadestroyer isn’t in a level 80 zone, I doesn’t feel it’s right to overhaul him to this position. I was thinking to have his champion on the Fiery Island Chain, although that might be a little too close to home. The problem with updating the Megadestroyer to this role is the same problem with the Shatterer, because it’s not in a lv80 zone, you can’t use the full potential to make a proper boss. and level 80 people will steamroll over it. A disgrace not befitting the champion of the king of the food chain.
Sneakily points to dis and hopes anet didn’t make it just to have something cool for the episode. Also why didnt mordy in hot had any dragon luitenant like he did in lw 2? (A plea for more actual dragon luitenants
)
Pls tell me the sword will be a “serious” looking weapon or at least not a toothpick i’d greatly appriciate that
u can just dont buy hot ^^
You know, it’s not me wearing a red dev badge and saying that they now see fractals as stepping stones to raids. So much for old “fractals are endgame too” philosophy.
And what’s the problem with fractals being a stepping stone into raids?
Before HoT very few people played the highest fractals (Level 40-49 scale and level 50 scale) compared to the actual T4 daily crowd – the lfg is always filled with group requests.
Fractals are still endgame for a lot of people – the 5 men endgame – but if you can beat all T4 stuff and you want to explore some more, you can jump into raids.
Plus don’t forget to mention: T4 fractals are easier than the old 40s+ and 50!
i wouldnt hate the idea of futute cm’s tho being the equivelant of raids but for five man in terms of dificulty
I have a bachelor’s degree in accounting. If you had any idea what you were talking about you would realize that Anet’s quarterly reports have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not raids have an easy mode.
So when LOTS of people are disappointed and leaving, it have nothing to do with a major switch in endgame philosophy and direction. Allright.
It is confirmed that gem sales are stable so I’m not sure how you get that many people are leaving (without many others joining)
off tpic but how are gem sales stable if the quarterly updates show less and less income for anet?
Would be great if you could balance them with the mist potions in mind. ^^
“I don’t think I should trust this lady.”
Said the man with the greatsword.
its more about the afro doe
It got bored of the dark icy waters and decided to get some sun. Got any problems with that? I also see you rocking that reaper gs, i suppose this is one of the areas that gs was already good huh?

Ok not all of these may be great suggestions bust some of them have been suggested by the community and more attention to these wouldnt hurt.
1. A graphical update/optimization: Basically not a change of art style since its one of the strong points the game has. Its more about an update to polish and revisit textures in game etc. Also changes to option like post processing since in many cases higher setting can make the game look worse etc. (Most games do these with new expnsions)
2. A wvw revamp. This is suggested overall alot so i wont go into it much. A suggestion he makes is have more pve content to secure resources which you use for various things. The game is called gw2 u’d expect massive pvp would be a really big part of it and it isn’t
3. More world bosses.(having uniue rewards etc per world boss)
4. Less of a wallet clutter (basically too many currencies)
5. The ability to use water weapons on land (spear for example). Especially since the game moves away from underwater combat.
6. Hard mode for dungeons (basically the dungeons for lvling are good even hard when you do them on base lvl but when geared and max lvl it becomes really easy). Asuggestion was to have all the paths connected as hard mode with ofc good rewards depending on the length.
7. Pvp having the circles like the ones that exist in pve for various attack(i suppose he means the orange circles).
8. A craftng rework. Crafting is a big part of the game and the game supports you getting into it from early on since it also helps you lvl up. After that it becomes slow and rather boring and you cant play the game as a crafter and make a living from it(example was being able to sell asc items on the tp). Also the addition of more life skills fishing (proper skinning) etc.
9. Season events as replayble content through the mists. (i think he is talking about season 1)
10.The last suggestion was about world event (i dont really get what he suggest so u should check that for yourself). time ~5:05
The order of these doesnt hold any value so i didn’t list them with the same order the creator did.

just do it with another character.
There could be a problem with the fact that infusions are tradeable, but I also agree that it would be cool to make it easier to get AR on your alts after you max it out on your main.
no there wouldn’t be just make infusions easier to get and prices will balance out. Or even better add a tab that only 100 fractal lever chars can open and sell in that cheaper +9’s unique tho so atributed infusion still require the normal ones.
On the last few replies, I am personally a little bothered by the fact that warriors are only welcomed for their PS abilities. I mean, the very defenition of a berserker is that they should have top class DPS, and not mediocre DPS, thats what bothers me a little
no they dont have to be top dps just because of a name its about class dificulty buffs they provide etc since warr is a powerhouse in terms of buffs their dps is lower and no warr are not only welcome for their ps might stacking they are for their crappy power boost trait nice meme anet
To answer your question no dps meters cannot be disabled on you but then calling dps meters as something that makes the game worst is a big mistake by itself
The meters can be used in good and bad ways. Saying DPS meters are something that makes the game only better or only worse is a big mistake.
They could be viewed as making aspects of the game better and worse.
On another note, whats the best DPS meter that shows DPS/damageincome/healingout/buff time etc? Mainly looking for something that shows all aspects of play not just DPS DPS DPS.
whats the main negative to a dps meter?
maybe do it like ow where if someone dc’s theres a timer in which if he returns all good but passed that timer the winning team get no win in their placemets
well they scrapped the “completely joke asc armor aquisition from that list of problems” i say give in due time they will get the rest.
i agree with the anti class stacking you suggest idont agree ith the class locking tho you shoud be free to change class up until the clock before the match rans out as long as what you are changing to does not exist in the team already
What??? Is that english?
Also I am not being unfriendly, the people that are being unfriendly are the people that think change is bad.
Really? Just because a majority is content with the current situation after having experienced
sotoo many revamps for fractals and a single player jumps in the forum complaining about it because he/she doesn’t want to put effort in special things?
Seriously…And now you are attributing your own opinion to the “majority”.
Just so you know, most of the players i use to do fractals with would not be sorry to see AR go. The amount of people that actually like this mechanics is most probably really small.
It is annoying. It creates the situation where you run one character through fractals, because gearing up another one would be too much of a bother. And it doesn’t actually introduce anything meaningful. It’s just a grind for grind’s sake.
I like the idea of AR a lot. Its a really awesome concept where you have to progress your character in order to survive jumping through the mists, but I agree that the implementation can sometimes be annoying.
That said I don’t know if I could agree with removing AR entirely, but it would be nice if it was somehow made easier to get AR on your toons once you have reached certain milestones on 1 character. Say once you have a character with +100 AR, the infusions from the vendor only require 75% as many +1 infusions to purchase, and once you have a character that has +150 AR, the infusions from the vendor only require 50% of the original +1 AR to purchase? That’s just off the top of my head, but something along those lines, where you build 1 character up to 150 AR and it makes it easier to build up others, would be much appreciated. It would make it easier for players to gear up more than 1 character to do fractals, especially if they are different weight classes (since that would make gear swapping impossible, and swapping your infusions every time you wanted to do fractals would get expensive quick).
hire this person
or simply do what he/she/it suggests i’d change it tho to instead of your main’s ar to max fractal lvl like "a 50% discount to +1s or w/e for chars that have fully cleared all 100 lvls
Well we know what the next raid fixes will be.
The green poisoned floor now removes stealth effects. Sloth is also now immune to conditions while sleeping and can only be targeted by cc effects.
Or maybe they should just nerf the perma stealth thief for the benefit of both game modes.
WvWers will still complain tho. Nerfed cuz PvE not WvW lul.
WvW players complain about literally everything. I don’t think they know how to do anything else
rightfully so for ghost thief is cancer
I recently just came back to GW2, and OH MY GOD.
The pvp is HORRIBLE.
I think it would be best if Arenanet decides to do some HEAVY CHANGES!
-Competitive should only have 1 per class!!
—- Longer queue times? well thats the whole point, if everybody in GW2 plays Trap guardian and Healing magical rangers then kewl, I am OUT.
Queue times SHOULD NEVER MATTER! why should the competitive be kitten? just because of queue times? and 1 thing too.. IT DISCOURAGES PVP FARMERS!! cuz they will dislike that idea of heavy queue times.
-Competitive should only allow single class!
—-If they queue with that character, they SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SWAP! to keep 1 class ! there should NOT be 2 guards or 2 anything.. it should only be 1 class per game!! that way it’ll make things more fun and more better..
You dont play OVERWATCH competitive and have 5 reinharts or 5 dvas right? NOBODY WANTS THAT! same goes with these horrible meta builds that’s plaguing PVP..
Hey I just came back in Guildwars2 so assume that I am a noob. yes I am a noob. no argue about it.
But this is just my opinion.. because I want to play some fun competitve, not some circus competitive.
Out.
recently it was a pool for class locking… and begin to work in no stack and class mmr …but they voted no.
sad story
dont think class stacking and class locking is the same but w/e
I believe the aquisition method was fixed in the wrong way in pvp. Don’t get me wrong id take anything other than the joke that was asc armor aquisition in pvp before but i dont think this is the best way. I believe a system like the one in OW would work greatly for pvp.
The system works like this:
You get the currency for the season rewards per game at a low rate per win and way less per loss (seems fair and ppl who would afk for the shard will have a worse time getting enough shards).
On top of that theres a big reward at the end of the season (for example lets say u get 5 shards per win and 1 per loss, the end reward is 200 or 300 shards) and that rewaed scales with your max rank you achieved this season ( bronze enough for 2 part/ gold 3/ plat 4/ legend full set).
Now that would make ppl focus more on their performance so they can play better and climp and less on the immidiate rewards (“hi i just got here for the reawards”)
With that system ppl who dedicate alot of time can geet more than just 1 full set (someone plays 500+ games in the current season and get to plat that guy gets enough shards from the end rewards for 4 pieces and has farmed enough shards throughout the season by simply playing for like the rest of the pieces he needs or even more depending on the winrate he had).
If the pvp rewards system works like that the rewards take much longer to aquire and reward you better the better you become. It will also take a healthy amount of time to balance with pve and so theres no need for asc mats to get it (or way fewer but since pvp is disconnected with pve in general i dont find the need for crafting to exist within it). the gold cost could remain tho oor increase slightly but i dought ths would be needed since asc would require the time commitment to get.
All in all i believe this system is better than the existing and way better than the joke that was the old system. Feedback or suggestions are welcome (keep it civilised tho).

The dps meters reduce the ignorant accusations about players not doing well and being victums of kick just because they dont play x or y class.
Now that dps metters are a thing, things like that dont happen as much coz now guard or a thief can see if they are doing the job correctly and not feel like they could at any moment be kicked because the group fails dps checks and its ofc the fault of the thief because they are not playing ele (which supposedly mean that if qt on a test golem can pull off 40k dps that mean in a raid scenario all can pull the same numbers so therefor other classes do less dmg and fail the encounter).
To answer your question no dps meters cannot be disabled on you but then calling dps meters as something that makes the game worst is a big mistake by itself
:O yes a fractal about the actual guild wars would be awesome from a lore perspective!
hmm isnt that a big part of the story to be in a fractal if it had 1 very specific moment that could be used as fractal?
yeah and they already have that wing look etc. ALSO this old like shatterer wings backpack the blue ones that move ? yeah that one would be awesome as a glider but that would drop the value of that rare item.
I don’t need my Legendaries. I can play just fine with some well-chosen exotics. The thing is, though, I want my Legendaries, and I don’t regret the time, effort, or expense involved in acquiring them.
My infinite light/gold fractal sword (winter’s presence) mesmer agrees with this post
i try hard to understand if its troll post
Ranger has been boring for me as my pet takes care of almost everything for me.
Sorry, but that’s blasphemy! Ranger is the best. Full stop.
for me is mesmer but mesmer is a wierd class
But oh so good to party with, and our mesmer community is marvelous with helping get the dailies! I am a major mesmer fan!
^^ <3
With the addition of the the nightmare fractal suddenly farming and crafting these back pieces became way easier so i’d expect more ppl to go for them or all diff variations thats really cool thanks anet.
I believe tho you missed a really good opportunity to make gliders for these backpieces 1 for each 1 of the variations of the backpiece, i mean they have this wing like look they are really backass tbh and they would look really cool as gliders too.^^
Now these will be aquired through the base game with no gemstore involved so idk how profitable or possible would be for you to make this but iirc there are already gliders in the game that dont require gemstore other than the legendary ones and i feel this is just to cool to pass on.
Regardless this was my suggestion i look forward to feedback or maybe some insight from the devs themselves how they think of it.
it is not daily its simply once per meta you can do as many times as you want the meta and you will get all the chest inside tarrir at least once per meta.
oh so the broken resistance isnt enough?
for me is mesmer but mesmer is a wierd class
Yeah tbh i agry with what ppl here say. You should be asking for good narative and storytelling and for the most part they kept it on a high bar i hope they can take it even higher with where this story will conclude.
Not sure how bad your luck is but i did the meta quite a few time now bit yes i’d agree to make the cd on the chest last for 2 hours or how much it takes for the meta to get to this part again only because it makes sense.
joining a cleared instance on the newest raid is as good as being in the raid the time its cleared the only thing you really miss is the fight but the lore is all there
Anet would need to drop fr their current raid they are making (you heard it here first folks) go back to raids 1 and 2 and redo all the encounters and balance them for 5 ppl and also abjust the rewards or add none and then do the same for the next raid. This is just work that takes away from new content and no one really wants that.
Raids are such a big thing because the replayability value is high and the story is well told making content for those guys who are like “oh now that i did it once i’ll not do ot again since i experienced the story” aimt worth their rescources.
(edited by zealex.9410)
I highly doubt it will require doing more raids unless a new collection tier is unlocked. It seems silly to require only a single item from an unreleased raid when every raid previously has had several items that work towards the collections.
Maybe a lw final boss? Like the dragon from the end of season 2
Don’t tell anyone. I’ll get fired.
You are my kittening hero. MO give this guy his own imgame item
Conditions were never meant to be stronger than power damage.
Lol really?
Hope you’re joking.
There are 2 different DPS types in the game. Power and Conditions. Both are meant to kill at the same rate. Just different applications.
They aren’t meant to kill at the same rate. Condis are attritional, its why a lot of condi gear stacks defensive attributes, so they can survive long enough for the condis to work.
I don’t believe this is the case any longer. Conditions have been buffed to the point that a well used condition bomb can down a class or nearly so in a few seconds tops. This is especially true in WvW where confusion uses the PvE damage formula.
Thats poor balancing though. If they truly want condis to kill as quick as power then they need to completely redo all their armor and weapon stat combos.
Ye conditions was and should have remained the slow killer some might like it that condis can burst now but thats not healthy to the game imho. There should be a ramp up time for condi to get dangerous giving chnace for counter play pretty much how you can evade power burst but for.condis with cleanses etc. Oh and ofc nerf resistance to balance out that deadlyness nerf ofc.
Meh instead of nerfing the problem they nerf what ppl cried about… And resistance still remains overpowered to.this day. The only nerf i would agry with to epidemic would be to make it so structures and downed players cannot be epidemic’ed but this was unececary and and highly infuenced by the crybabies…. This is why we cant have nice things.
the cahnges are pretty ok imho the value of asc armor had dropped really low with asc being so easily obtainable
What??? Is that english?
Also I am not being unfriendly, the people that are being unfriendly are the people that think change is bad.

it tends to happen passively while running your dailies you get ar and drops how do you thing i geared all my chars? And i didn’t even payed attention one day i said i want to gear up my guard and had the gear and the ar collecting dust.
http://imgur.com/nI1f52X <— any chance we will ever get this map? I mean u don’t have to put underwater events if you are so afraid to but if in like a year or 2 we could get the lake back i’d appreciate it.
The problem is not Epi.
The problem is people in WvW stopped worrying about condis due to resistance, and the meta shifted to exploit this ( corruption then epi).Almost every time, the solution is l2p.
Just not true.
Every singe 1 klick killskill got removed somhow epi is the last ingame.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Epidemic
Wiki must be wrong then. So must the tooltip in game.
It obviously applies conditions to the target before copying them. Right??After all it is a 1 button kill.
tl:dr: don’t post when you don’t know what the heck you’re talking about.
xaxaxaxa rekt XD
the only possible way to "fix" this would be to be able to place the exit first(havint a ground target for the exit and once you place it it automatically places the entry as well that way the range limit works but the skill it self wouldnt be as versitile as it is and ultimatly not as fun
These “pls nerf X because it killed me once” threads would be a lot less frequent and annoying if people actually tried playing the build/class BEFORE complaining on the forums.
“pls nerf rock, paper is fine” ~scissors
hahahahaha xD
Not sure what the civilians would dance but it would be fun if Anet had done the Mannequin Challenge in the HQ while it was still relevant or have their on game Characters do it with some boxes of fun xD
(edited by zealex.9410)
But having to clear Samarog and Deimos in CM every week is sth some groups would rly not get behind.
Sure. Because they want the difficulty they are comfortable with. The same as the people asking for easy mode.
not entirely the case because these ppl went and did the cm unlike the ppl that ask for easy mode
Power and condition builds both benefit from control conditions.
Protection Boon:
Protects against – 33% power damage, that’s it.
Does NOT protect against – critical hits, physical control effects like launch, knock down, kick, pull, push, stun, daze.
Resistance Boon:
Protects against- 100% condition damage Burn, torment, poison, bleed, confusion. ALL control effects from conditions such as cripple, chill, weakness, immobilize, slow, and fear.
Does not protect against- power attacks.
Fear is a condition that is not only stopped by Stabilty but also stopped by Resistance as well. That condition gets the kitten end of the stick.
- The protection reduction applies after the critical hit, so it reduces 33% of the extra damage there too. A 100% protection would completely negate critical damage.
- Condis can do equivalent damage to power, plus have status effects that power builds typically lack (in both scope and scale).
- Condi builds do full damage by investing in two attributes, leaving one attribute for extra defense (or extra direct damage), and this investment also boosts status effects. Power builds require investment of all attributes to achieve full damage.
- Condi builds are as viable as power builds right now. In some contexts some are crazy OP, and in some other contexts they’re useless.
- Direct damage application is typically concentrated in single, well-telegraphed, easily dodged hits. Condi damage is often delivered through iterative, poorly telegraphed hits, and often added on to regular hits through traits making mitigation except through cleanses much more difficult. Many condi builds can overwhelm the cleansing ability of most classes.
- If you want to boost protection to 100%, you’ll have to boost power builds by quite a lot to compensate.
- If you want to cut resistance by a lot, you should expect some nerfs to condi builds to compensate.
Whether or not condi is getting the kitten end of the stick is measured by end result, not the relative power of mitigating boons.
I see from your videos that you’re playing both power and condi reaper. Which one do you find to be more effective? Because I come across waaaaaay more condi reapers than power reapers.
In my eyes condi should be the slow steady killer from my experience with other mmos in general dot dmg takes a time to.build up and to get really dangerous which gives you time to react also such condi classes had kitten hp pools or w/e so they had the chance to dish out their dmg since it took time to build up.
From what iv seen tho in the last couple of days 1 can dish out so many condis that it looks more like burst rather than conistent building dmg.
I think there needs to be a distinctive factor between power and condi since power build rely more on burst and then some downtime until they are reasy to repeat but condi seems to flat out have high dmg at all times.
But then again not sure how the developers wanted conditions to work and exist in this game.
Haven’t we explained how rare big epi’s are enough yet.? I often play condi necro and am lucky to get a halfway decent epi off in a battle.
1) condi’s get cleansed often in any zerg that has a rational comp
2) condi’s get resisted most of the time due to the revs spamming resistance
3) necros have almost no stability by themselves so that long-cast time epi gets interrupted more often than notSo, if you are getting hit by huge epis, you are not cleansing, your revs are not giving you resistance, and you are not bothering to interrupt the vulnerable necros. In short, l2p issue.
Epi has channel time an animation? I didn’t know that.
a simple question…
and if instead of resistance 100% condition immunity was PROTECTION a 100% damage reduction?
same problem as resistance is it now…
you cant overload someone with power dmg and then spread that to nearby players resistence does that.
