When you enter the Heart of The Mists for the first time after the April 2014 Feature Pack goes live, all of the skins you have collected in PvP will unlock in your Wardrobe. There will be a vendor selling basic, level-appropriate weapons and armor for you to apply unlocked skins to.
What is the point of these “basic” armor/weapons if looks carry over from pve and vice versa? You have to apply the pvp skins to them first to unlock them?
The wardrobe is only for appearances, it does not contain usable items. If you’ve never played PvE, or for some reason don’t have actual items to apply skins to, you can get them from the vendor.

Grouch can you give a vague idea of who will be future dragons (60, 70+)??!?
ALSO with the change to jewels, will I still be able to run soldier zerker, or carrior rabid or whatever?
Everyone in the upper mid 50’s and up will become a Dragon!
I noticed this too on the livestream, but an educated guess would be that the PvP Build button just expands a window for you to place a sigil, a single rune and amulet. And if you needed to quickly change stats, all you would to do is modify those few slots.
They mentioned that you can’t mix runes anymore in the live stream, you just simply place one rune and it applies it to all 6 armors.

We do understand and sincerely apologize that there are creative combinations of town clothes that will not exist anymore. Many have asked why remove town clothes as a concept. It boils down to we believe better armor skinning and the outfit system is something we can add more options to more often and will produce a better supported RP game for everyone with more variety in the future. In short, a healthier game.
To expand more on what I mean by better support, It helps if you think of town clothes as a 4th weight class of armor. Clothing was meant to offer visual options that break the class roles, however we were never completely happy with the way it was isolated from the rest of the game and still felt largely the same. Many pieces could have easily been mistaken for light or medium armor. In many ways it was more akin to building an alt character because town-clothes and armor were so separated. Additionally, every time we added something to town-clothes, it didn’t really help someone building their light, medium, or heavy look. And there was no way to add combat gear fairly without creating 3 versions on the back end (light, medium, and heavy). As a customization platform and sustainable expansion design it left a lot to be desired.
When we started looking at bringing more of the clothing back into armor with mix and match styles there are some fundamental incompatible things between weight classes. (part of how we set up every armor to allow many dye channels and styles per piece).. There really is no way at this point over six years since we started development to make absolutely everything work together. So we needed something new to continue to grow in the future.
Outfits give us a way to create highly stylized looks that aren’t constrained to armor slots or weight class. In addition to armor skins that are easier and cheaper to collect across characters and the account dye system we do believe the options across a players whole account are much more attractive now. You’ll see more outfits coming out this summer and additions to the game more often usable by your characters. We try not to allow too much ‘hoarder’ design where we just keep stacking more and more options on leaving lots of unsupported things hanging around. Yes, we do have to give up some of our current closet space and clothing to fit the new wardrobe in. Again, apologies for that.
As always we ask you to try out the new system of customization and see what’s available to you. I think many people will be surprised by how many pieces have become armor compatible. We hope the benefits to the outfit system and wardrobe in terms of future support and additions will be clear, and you can look forward to more new outfits coming very soon.

Have you explained it like that in the ticket? I can see that you need to contact the NCSOFT Support Team, and the agent who reviews your ticket should be able to either direct the ticket to the other person or tell you how to submit a new ticket in the other system.

- Blinding Ashes – Is the ICD global, or per target?
- Elemental Contigency – Is the ICD global, or per attunement?

Thanks for the questions. Here are some answers:
- Blinding Ashes ICD (Internal Cooldown) is ‘global’, where it activates once and goes on recharge. The trait works much better in small engagements.
- Elemental Contingency’s Internal Cooldown is currently once every 10 seconds.
- Lightning Rod has no ICD. It will activate as often as a target allows you to interrupt them. The damage value of this trait is similar to that of Halting Strike.
Weakness duration is 4 seconds base.

Great Allie! Any chance we can get these clarification questions answered about the announced mesmer grandmaster traits?
- Disruptor’s Sustainment – Gain 1,000 healing power for 5s upon interrupting a foe.
Does this stack in intensity or duration (or at all)?
- Maim the Disillusioned – Enemies hit by shatter skills are inflicted with torment.
Is torment applied per illusion hit or per landed shattered skill? How much torment is applied?Thanks in advance
Asked, and answered:
1: Does not stack in intensity or duration.
2: This trait applies 4 seconds of torment each time a clone shatter hits your target. 3 clones shattered = 3 torment applied, similar to how Rending Shatter functions.

Champ farming was a TERRIBLE way to try and make gold. It was mainly for XP, crafting materials, karma, and luck, none of which are impacted by this change.
If you were farming champs for the gold drops… I mean… I don’t even know what to say…. maybe “don’t”?
It’s true that champ farming is by a wide margin not the best way to make gold (not counting TP either)

John, i know you´re double chained, crippled and immobilized by NDA´s but if you can find just one Guardian to buff you some stability and maybe disclose some values on gold sinks and springs that would be appreciated. I dont look for values but relative %.
Especially i would be interested in gold sunk by repair cost on average per month and gold generated by champ loot bags and dynamic events.Personally, i dont think that info on that would hurt the economy. And it will hurt the EOTM train harder than the frostgorge or queensdale train.

I definitely believe this thread applies, but without having more concrete content from the OP, I’m rather in the dark. I hope that the thread helps, so that you (and others) will be aware of how pernicious these phishing attempts can be, and how easily they can be avoided. Sadly, spoofing the “from” line is simple, so all of us who receive e-mail must be careful with every in-bound mail and with every in-mail link.

You can opt out of waypoints I don’t feel that it’s the same as repair.

Nobody was banned.
Nobody served even a suspension.
Your name refers to food from a certain culture and bodily functions. And yes, it’s mildly offensive (and some might feel is even mildly racist).
It’s simply not a name that we wish to have visible to every player in our game.
Kindly change it and all will be well.
And please note that debating support decisions is not appropriate for this forum, and that the “court of appeal” does not lie in the opinions of forum members. Johns first mistakes in this patch. I knew it had to come. It probably isn’t even for convenience, but jsut to nerf the gold existing in the market.
My personal economy lesson for John. Undue the repair change. Continu with scarlet alike npc’s. Currency + gold to get something. Selfless potion is like what, 500 armor repairs? Repeat these, and you will have more sink then the not so clever repair cost overhaul.
I find this very confusing, could you elaborate a bit?
I have a quick tip. When we create Feedback threads, put your feedback in them. Too many folks come to General Discussion and start new threads, without checking to see if there is an on-going discussion.
Our team has been merging and closing/redirecting quite a bit this week, and is immensely helpful for you getting heard, when we can look in one main thread for very specific feedback and questions.
Fluffball has the right of it, too, in regards to /how/ you post. I’ve compiled a lot of feedback which is constructive and critical. If it is LOL THIS SUCKS I HATE YOU #yolo #swag, you’re pretty much shooting yourself in the foot.
Mark, Allie, and I spent a huge amount of time compiling feedback and sharing it with the Dev Teams, and in turn, the Dev Teams lurk and compile their own feedback. Keeping things concise, respectful, and constructive is the key.

I just ran though this story step, and it completed correctly. When you defeat the dredge chief, a short dialogue cutscene plays, and the story moves to the next step. Note that you don’t get the typical “complete” splash/fanfare, but the objective will move to “Speak with Steward Gixx.” (That story step involves moving across multiple maps.) Is it possible that another step is still incomplete? If you walk past one of the artifacts without searching it, it might leave an incomplete step.

Hello all, I’ve unlocked this thread for a moment to give you the stats on “manipulation” and flipping I pulled last night.
On average, anyone who “flipped” dyes during the 10 hours of volatility lost just over 5 gold. This stat required you to both buy and sell dyes, but left in any personal Udye the user had so it would skew towards making money. Overall players attempting to flip lost several thousand gold and these people comprised only a small portion of the market.

I’d like to echo Colin’s sentiments. Thanks to the OP and everyone else for posting your constructive feedback here. We’re always evaluating our past work and looking for ways to improve our future releases. Sometimes those improvements may come in the form of developing new technology to support our vision or improve the player experience. Other times it means evolving our writing and game design processes. In other cases, resource and scheduling changes are necessary to support the additional workload. The potential solutions will vary depending on the challenge in front of us.
Part of the development process is prioritization, so I’d like to know what you feel are the highest impact items you think would improve our storytelling delivery. What are your top three requests?
