We have not started building either Fractal yet. We’ll be starting pretty much as soon as the vote is decided, with all three fractals (Aetherblade, Molten, and Reactor/Abbadon) releasing later this year.

It really means a lot to have players like you to come and encourage us. Obviously this goes without saying; we are human beings. We put our heart and soul into this work, and to have the support from you guys helps so much.

Colin was asked a question about access to Crystal Desert/Elona. Cantha was not mentioned in the question.
Colin replied and said that new regions are typically added through expansions. We have not made a decision yet on how to add new regions. New areas to the game will be added either through expansions or Living World. Colin said that some of those new areas will be based on the original Guild Wars, however he did not confirm any regions or go into any specifics.
So, I thought I’d take a moment to say that I love this idea….
We’ve been toying around with something very similar internally. As some of you have said, it can be implemented as new game type, or just a secondary for an existing map. There’s also a question of “how many npc’s do you allow in a PvP map before some players get upset that PvE is encroaching on their PvP?”
We want to introduce some more strategic “layers” to a new PvP map, and you guys are proposing a lot of the ideas we’ve talked about internally in order to do just that.
Obviously I can’t give an ETA, but I can say – we’re looking into trying to do something similar to the ideas suggested here. Will it definitely make it in? I can’t say. But I can say that we’re toying around w/ a very similar idea internally. Can’t promise anything, but we also love the general concept behind this idea!

We also agree that we need more PvP achievements. I can’t give any details (I’m sorry I have to say that so much), but this is something we’re seriously looking at internally.

Applying a rune or other upgrade to an item soulbinds it. There’s a warning popup when you apply the rune, but it looks like the item description is not correctly updating.
Using your display name, I can’t find a ticket from your account, but perhaps you’ve submitted it using a different email address than the one associated with your game account. I can see that someone accessed your account today. I’m assuming that is you, and that this is resolved. If not, please update your ticket (and close the second one) and the team will help you.
Has anyone been banned yet for using this? I know that ANET hasn’t taken a stance on this. I want to try it out but don’t want to jeopardize my account
I am almost positive that I redeemed a gem store gift card between the first of April and the end of June. I used the gems in June to change worlds, but I did not receive the kite that my other guild mates have received.
They send them out in waves. It may take some time. The last appreciation gift took some around a day to get.
The distribution is complete. If you wish, you may submit a ticket and a support team member will look into this for you.
In about 99% of the cases, removing some of your mails — the ones marked with a little envelope — will allow you to receive your items. If not, please do submit a ticket.
We are putting up a Knowledge Base article about this, and a pop-up messages as well, so those who start to submit a ticket about this will get the info that may help them resolve the issue. In the meantime, this is a known issue and we are working on an in-game solution to it, as well!
A player offered to sell me 20 charged lodestones for 40 gold. In trade he didn’t bother sending the stones. I reported him but will I ever see my gold?
No, Your gold is gone forever as well as the load stones. The trading post is there for a reason, if you choose not to use it, you are on your own and support will not help you.
You can report them (which you already have) but that is pretty much the end of it.
Take this as a lesson learned, never trade outside the trading post.
I think this about sums is up. I’m sorry that you were scammed, zerotwo, but highly recommend that you use the TP in the future!
I know this might need to go into a suggestions area, but should there not be a change to the mail icon (like the indicator when you have new mail) if the mail is full? Is it possible for the icon to change if the mail is full and you have additional mail queued up?

I am already actively proposing detailed solutions that could address this issue, so I don’t think I will take the time to read your suggestions now, although it’s great that you posted them (and in the proper forum, too). The process of making game changes is seldom quick, but I feel sure we’ll address this in the future.
There are in-game mechanics that address / prevent accidental deletions. You cannot delete a character without going through a couple of confirmation processes and without getting a warning about possible item loss. I don’t know what we can do, systemically, to address this issue any more clearly.
I do know that at the present time, we’re not in a position to dedicate resources towards offering a “do over” for these issues and certainly the process of a full account restorations is too time-consuming to offer (and would be inappropriate in these circumstances). Right now, having an agent research the matter and somehow replace the item would extend the time we take to respond to players with other issues, like account hacks. So this isn’t a service we currently can offer.
Clean out your mail. They won’t go through if your mail is full. 99.999% if the time this is the problem.

Also, Petrified is the best Box o’ Fun ability… maybe if we could get a “Box o’ Petrified” more people would by them, even with the massive positive externalities involved.

Please note the different comments from players about this system. They make very valid points about eligibility. If you have issues, know that we’re investigating, but there are also misunderstandings about how things are supposed to function, so be aware of that as well.

I don’t know why you would have been suspended for two weeks. The general suspension is 3 days, but no warning is given, as per the Conduct Breaches and Outcomes document. Most importantly, though, I note that this has been resolved and you logged into the game today, so I assume all is well.
You know, the game logs do show a few rude comments, as you honestly mentioned. We all know that there could be a rare “slip of the tongue” and I’m figuring you’re not at all likely to do that again, so thanks for the self-awareness.
I have created an account under a certain email address that will no longer be available in the near future. Is there a way to keep the account name as is but have all correspondence sent to my new email address?
Also, I have a 2 other accounts (for my kids…mostly). Is there a way to link them all to a single email address? I see that there is a Link to Account but I think that is for GW1 people to link to their GW2 accounts.

Each Guild Wars 2 account must have a unique email address. The only thing it could share, in the Guild Wars spectrum, is a single Guild Wars email address. It would not be possible for us to link three GW2 accounts to a single address.

While Skyhammer is not currently in the tournament rotation, we are open to it in the future. Until then, there have been some great community events cropping up where players who do love the map can enjoy it. Here’s some examples:

While we cannot change some of these restrictions, we have been working to expand allowable regions; we have determined that we can allow additional countries in Europe to compete in the Guild Wars 2 Invitational and Regional Qualifying Tournaments. This means that players in the following countries are now eligible to participate: European Union as well as Iceland, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, and Turkey.
At this time, we are not able to change the age restriction due to other limitations. We hope to expand eligibility for future tournaments.

Hey Smile.9284, could you change the title of this thread to something that is a bit more descriptive? Maybe “Adding a /resign command” or something like that?
I’m passing this on to the PvP team, but don’t want them to think this is just another “I’m quitting GW2” thread.
It’s up to the level designers to decide how to organize this data.
Note that in Tyria for example, all waypoints, etc. exist on all 3 floors in-game, even though the waypoint itself is on just one floor. This is so that you can always see waypoints.
This is reflected in the map_floor.json API too. The technical implementation of the map data does not always consistently reflect the logical in-game understanding of the map.
fCameraFront is derived directly from our camera data. fAvatarFront does force the z axis to be 0, but it normalizes out the z axis into the x and y coordinate. Maybe your structure is wrong?
Note, I didn’t test it to see if the fCameraFront1 is always 0, maybe it is. If so, it might be fixable.
This almost didn’t make it into the game. The song, in particular, was a one of a few voiced-over lines that were recorded early on, before the map was fully designed. By the time I found out about it, Bloodtide Coast was already pretty far along. Needless to say, I felt it was a top-priority to get it in the game and in a place where you could definitely see it if you were paying attention. Henceforth, the friendly Penzan pirate faction was born and we designed a renown heart and a couple of events around it. Fortunately we even had a chance to have that actor come back in and deliver some additional lines to support the character.
Getting that stuff together was definitely some of the most fun I had working on the game. Devon gets a big shout out for his help there. He was building the Priory events around the same area. The tie-in with Penzan was an excellent feat of collaboration.
Hey guys, we are very excited to be able to bring you this tournament just in time for PAX. Most of all we are excited for the opportunity to get the chance to meet some of you in person.
Regarding the age and region requirements, the restrictions are primarily for legal reasons. There are many more legal hurdles you have to go through with respect to prizes, travel and lodging when it comes to minors.
For regions, not only does every country have their own laws regarding competitions of this sort but every state, province, territory etc. also have their own laws regarding tournaments with prizes on this scale as well as their own laws regarding participation by minors in these events. Each of these areas should have a legal check or review when putting together a tournament like this. It takes significant time and legal resources to perform those checks.
We very much want to include as many people as possible and we hope to widen our age and region scope with future events but we have to start somewhere. We understand the burden this places on teams and I am truly sorry that some great talent and some good friends of ours in our community will have to sit this one out. But, let’s have a great time with this tournament series, cheer on those that can participate and work towards a day when every person on planet Earth can come together in the Mists.
Age restrictions: The reason for the 18 is due to travel/hotel requirements.
For regions: we hope to expand those as we go forward with future tournaments.
More details: There will be additional details/rules coming in the near future, as mentioned in the last section of the announcement.
Balance: We are being VERY careful w/ balance between now and the tournament so you guys don’t have builds changing every patch. This is why we did the larger balance patch last month – we wanted to do smaller and smaller changes as we get closer to the tourney. We know there is a perception that a few things are too strong right now, so we’ll be looking at those between now and the tourney.
