Whoa, you’ve seen worse than what you said?
If that’s true, then I surely hope you reported those situations! Because what you said was very rude and I cannot believe that anyone would think it was acceptable in the game.
Hey again Whisper – In addition to some of the suggestions provided to you here, it wouldn’t hurt to run Msconfig and free up some resource space for you. Sometimes an abundance of background apps can hinder your performance.
Ok, so I looked into this account. I note the ticket in January where you asked for a free world transfer, our agent politely explained that we cannot offer it, you demanded a refund for the game, our agent explained (truthfully and with respect) that we could not refund a purchase that was not made through us (you bought from a retailer), you argued about our policy then threatened to contact one of our lead designers, and ultimately, our team lead confirmed (again, politely) that what you’d previously been told was accurate and that we could not give you the free transfer that you were demanding.
I am closing this thread, as I cannot find anything else to support your claims. Because you have not responded to my request I believe you must agree that the topic is not worth pursuit.

The answers provided seem accurate. Best of luck in completion of the achievement, and have fun, too. (It’s a great festival!)
Easy peasy: Please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you. For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.
Hi Gaile,
Isn’t there a way to block these fishing emails?
I have pondered on this one, hoping there was a “If the sender reasonably doesn’t match the sending address, block it” filter. (Like “GuildWars2.com – ok! Gulidwaes2.com – NOT ok.” No such filter exists. I hoped for a “If there are ridiculous grammatical errors, block this email” filter. However, that would block a couple of my friends, so…
The best thing to do is to simply delete it and to be careful with any email that contains links. When I reset my password, I still check the clickable link to make sure it’s not just some coincidental phishing email that showed up right when I expected a legitimate one.
Hi there Traldera* – This is actually a Windows based error code which indicates a CRC error. I’d start with a Disk Check.
The last thing we want is to have anonymous links appear on the forums, particularly since they seem to pertain to potential phishing.
Please see our post about phishing above.
First, this is not an account issue, this is a general question. It may be better placed in the Guild Wars 2 Discussion forum. But the short answer is that no, we cannot make exchanges or unbind the item.
Hi RevivedPicard – After deleting the local.dat file I’d follow with the repair. Next, I’d recommend updating your graphics card drivers. They’re not old, but if anything this should at least improve your performance:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_win8-64.aspx
Let me know if this helps!
Hi Whisper – My concern here is that this could potentially be hardware based with numbers that low. I would recommend creating a support ticket so that we can better assist you with this issue one on one. The sticky below should provide more info on contacting support.
Hi Xailoh – I would check to make sure your video card drivers are up to date first and foremost. If you’re missing video card drivers the launcher will “behave” very much the same way. I’d also check to make sure you don’t have any security software interfering with the client as well.
Rest assured, we pay attention to all of the threads.
Not every suggestion can be acted on, but we love hearing what you guys like, what you want, and what you don’t want.
And it’s creative community discussion that will make the game better. Not just in the Gem Store, but in all aspects of GW2. So don’t despair; if you bring up valid ideas, we absolutely notice and discuss them! We definitely try to discuss them with you, too!
Make sure you’re charging the shot to give it enough range. If you just tap the fire button (#2 I think) it will fail to launch, and the error message is extremely deceptive. (It’s trying to fire directly in front of the trebuchet, which isn’t a valid target.)
Sorry guys – I can understand this must definitely be frustrating. We’re still poking the other departments about this issue and they’re still working like House Elves trying to get this back in order. No updates yet
Once we have some sort of fix I will let you guys know as soon as I can!

Whoops. There was a configuration problem on one of our servers, causing this bug.
World 2000 is not a real world, which is why it doesn’t have a name.
Any references to world 2000 will be cleared out when the next game patch happens. Sorry for the inconvenience.
This thread has gotten well out of hand. The display name of the OP will be changed. It is truly offensive and cannot remain in the game.
Yes, you disagree. But the decision for both offensive character name (or names, if spotted in today’s review) and for the display name remain in effect.
Orbs will never come back in the form they had as they simply were too easy to hack around. With that said, we are definitely working on finding a suitable replacement for the best parts of the orbs, while avoiding as many of the downsides as we can. It’s not simple task though, so it isn’t as simple as deciding to do it one day and finishing it the next. Our goal is to get a new and improved version out when we can, but we can’t say yet when that will be.
How can you NOT address a simple hack of the game you created, run and monitor?
Change the mechanic of carrying the orb.
Track down and ban people hacking it. I’m sure tracing who picked it when a hack is reported is easy. Track how fast it moves. If it moves beyond a certain speed then ban the person.
A few slaps on the wrists will address the issue.
It is not easy to be done in a day but you had months to fix it..
We have continued to do our utmost to track and ban all hackers, but if you think it’s possible to always be ahead of them, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. Unfortunately, this particular mechanic is far too susceptible to any number of hacks of this sort and while we can do as much as possible, it doesn’t prevent it from happening all the time and even 1 instance can unbalance a matchup a great deal. Hence, we are attempting to solve the problem on the content side as much as we can.
Fun thread.
Keep the talking going folks . Not everything can be done.. but also not everything has been suggested yet. Of course we love to know what you’d love to play.
And we get funny stuff like Taco’s, Waffles, and Clippy. <3
Sylvari kids… quaggan carrying a seed pod?.. just sayin it’s not impossible.
No. These do not expire.
The main reason is simply that at the point that outmanned does that, it encourages servers to have fewer players on to take advantage of the stat boost. That, in turn, will cause people to yell at other players for logging on and taking away the buff.
Hi everyone,
We’re aware of this behavior for the Dragon Bash meta-achievement and are looking into it. Thanks for your patience !
Darn, when I saw the little red bubble next to the thread I thought Devon had come in here and said the orbs were coming back.
I don’t understand why they’re easy to hack. But then I don’t understand how people hack anything in a game.
They were easy to hack because of the fact that if you managed to fly or teleport hack you could do that and pick them up and take them right back to your base.
it isn’t going to happen overnight.

Upgrading the commander system and UI is on our goal list. It’s a complicated task, requiring lots of resources however, which means it isn’t going to happen overnight. Believe me though, I find our commander system almost entirely lacking in useful functionality.
Lots of potential opportunities for griefing with fireworks unfortunately. Makes sense to not have them in there.
This is the ultimate reason for it. If we could do it in a way that wouldn’t adversely impact the gameplay of others, we would, but it’s not possible at the current time. Hopefully we can find a way to do it in the future, but for now you can’t use them in WvW for that very reason.
I don’t quite get it… They are the exact same fireworks as the original ones. Why allow one and not the other? The only reason I can imagine is that the dragon bash ones are “easier” to obtain.
And to be honest, anything can be used to grief. Might as well ban siege weapons, or transformation tonics. Or what about the most obvious, the emotes? I’m pretty sure people would grief with emotes a lot more than with fireworks.
We did some internal testing with these and you can definitely detect lowered framerates the more of these you see in an area. If you follow the pretty obvious logical train there, people will use them to adversely affect the experience of other players, intentionally. I’d love to allow all this stuff to work in WvW, but sometimes we have to take a heavy hand to stop people from being jerks to each other.

While we really wish you the best and are sad to see you go, threads discussing the parting of a user or a guild tend to create negative responses and elicit unconstructive negative feedback, as well, as being derailed and straying away from the original topic. Therefore we decided to lock this thread in order to prevent such responses from being posted.
Thanks for your understanding and best of luck in your future.
Any updates to the fractals will need to include additional update to the reward systems as well, agreed.
As for the jet pack, those specific rewards are intended as limited rewards you can only earn during that time, thus making them valuable. It wouldn’t be fair to the people who did earn jet packs for us to bring them back, and suddenly undercut their value entirely.
And yeah that F&F dungeon updated for size would make a good fractal wouldn’t it? =)
But one solution would be to revert the changes that made orr so empty. And from there you can do the more exciting and rewarding stuff
It’s certainly one of the options we discussed, however it brings us right back to the initial problem we set out to solve, a large part of the player base was asking for more exciting and difficult open world content in our top end areas. The original version of Orr events were painfully easy, they didn’t scale well, mobs evaporated into thin-air and you had to race to even get a hit in before they died to get credit for kills.
The ideal balance point we’d like to have is with the scaling and more exciting encounters we have now, so it’s actually fun and at least remotely challenging to play there, but also rewarding as well. The reward systems we want to roll out to support those areas are part of a larger reward revamp and aren’t done yet, but are on their way and tie more strongly into the comprehensive system we’re trying to develop, thus the swap.
In regards to regular mobs hitting for insane damage, we did find a bug about a month ago causing many of them to scale way out of proportion, it has since been fixed and normal bosses in Orr should be doing damage on par with other bosses in the game. If you find any that are still nutso, please give us a shout, the intent is they should be fun/challenging, not one-hit-wonders.
Hope that helps give more insight into what we’re trying to do here, these changes are directly tied to feedback we’ve received. You don’t have to agree with them, but it’s important we explain why we’re doing them so folks understand the end goal, which I don’t believe we’ve reached yet until the rewards are there as well.
And now off to do that work thing, thanks for the feedback folks, as always keep it coming we really appreciate it!
Based on responses I’m not sure some of you read my post past the first paragraph….I’m agreeing with you, thus the:
“The one thing that’s really missing is the rewards to help make playing in these locations more even exciting and rewarding than they are now.”
And no, we’re not putting in a new currency, we have plenty of those
We feel like our fractals dungeon is the perfect fit for this kind of “historical” experience, similar to the way the BMP worked in Gw1. Even better, it already exists and has explanations behind why these slices of time are available to discover and experience within.
In the future, you’ll see certain types of content that was part of larger story experiences be updated to work within the fractals dungeon and return there where it makes sense to do so. Of course, the specific rewards and achievements will not return since those are intended to be completed as the story unfolds, but the content itself will be used to expand out our fractals experience and serve as a place to continue to experience great (and strange) moments in history.
There are indeed!
We’ve had a lot of feedback from folks asking for more difficult places in the game that can be more rewarding to play in. Our intent with Orr (and Southsun) is to create areas that are more fun/difficult for groups to play through event chains, with events that scale better when larger groups of players show up than the rest of the game, rather than the old versions that fell apart when more than a group or so of players showed up.
Thus the continual updates this year to make the creatures in Orr have more varied skills, the swap over to the new event scaling system that creates veterans/champions as content scales up, and the updates to Southsun to have more playable content. The one thing that’s really missing is the rewards to help make playing in these locations more even exciting and rewarding than they are now.
We want champions to be more rewarding, so places like Orr/Southsun where events can scale up to create champions become one of the more fun and rewarding places in the game to play, since events there can be champion on demand generators to an extent. We’d also like to tie in additional unique rewards to the temple chains, to make those more worthwhile and differentiate them from the giant boss encounters (which we’ll also be upgrading to be more exciting) to give a reason to do each in a day. We’d also like to add more value and use to blue/green items, so things like killing vets feels more rewarding when those type of items drop when doing those events in Orr as well.
And of course, we’d like to remove culling from PvE as well so you can experience these events in all their glory when they do scale up.
We’ll go into specifics on all of this in an updated version of the Gw2 in 2013 blog post sometime in July focusing on our plan for the 2nd half of the year and how we plan to improve the core game experience. As a reminder, you can find the original detailing our high level plan here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/colin-johanson-on-guild-wars-2-in-the-months-ahead/
I want to thank SoPP for not creating a new thread but using the Search Engine to find the topic in an earlier post. Having identified an answer, I’m sure you’ll agree with my now closing this thread.
I find it difficult to believe that the team member who answered your ticket would have been either disrespectful or unkind but I am happy to look into the matter, not to give you a different response, to make sure we’re giving the best response on every level.
Your personal computer issues do not qualify you for a free transfer, and to react this negatively to that situation seems in itself to be disrespectful and unkind.
But I promise not to judge either side of this until I review the situation. So please provide your ticket number and I will investigate this matter.

You should be on customer support!!!! I seriously wish they told me this. I asked them if there was any other way and they told me no!
Wardark – could I get your ticket number? I want to clarify our messaging, if we indeed are not sharing information with our players!
You can find the Dragon Bash music on our soundcloud page: https://soundcloud.com/arenanet
Hey Mezereon, have you tried using any of the custom arenas from the PvP browser? It might be better for you guys to practice that way!
Living World
Having the outmanned “buff” visible to the enemy teams causes the other 2 servers gang together against the weakest one.
This will no longer be the case in the next build. We’ve changed outmanned so that only friendlies can see it.
During my live stream on Friday I confirmed that the Dragon Ball achievements would not count towards the overall. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Missing Items/Rewards
If you are seeking the reimbursement or return of an item or reward you believe you should have received, please visit our support site for more assistance; we regularly post answers to commonly asked questions, and you also have the option to submit a ticket for further review.
This is being looked at.
Thank you!

We would like to have a system that rewards servers at the end of a matchup based on their performance and are working out all we’ll need to do to make that happen. Ideally it will give extra rewards for winning while still rewarding everyone for participating. All that being said, it’s hard to know what form the final version will take. Hopefully we’ll have something to get everyone excited to fight for victory.
It is intentional. I believe it resets at midnight UTC, but I’m not sure about that. It is the case that you can loot the chests 1 time per day per account, not per 24 hours. So if you log on right before the reset, it should work fine.
The levels are incorrect, this story step should be L28, and all the enemies should be 28 or lower. I’ve made some adjustments to all 3 final story steps for norn chapter 3, since some of the Orders were easier than others. No ETA on when it will go live.
The best way to get your issue resolved is to submit the customer support ticket. Be sure to mention that you are on a Mac. Sorry that you are having issues with the Trading Post.
Hi. There are many factors that can cause problems with the Trading Post and/or Gem Store. In order to diagnose your specific problem, we’ll need you to submit a customer support ticket, please. Also, please include any relevant information, such as your operating system, your PC specs, and firewall info.
We’re sorry that you’re experiencing this issue and hope we can help you.
Before you submit your ticket, you can try clearing your cache. To do this, you will want to close GW2 and:
1. Click the Windows start button.
2. Search for temp
3. Find any gw2cache folders and delete them.
Relaunch the game.
I hope this fixes it for you, but if it doesn’t, please follow my initial instructions.
