worked! The time set on my computer was at AM instead of PM. Thanks for the solution!
Great to know, and thanks for posting the update.
Hi UnholyGrazer – Could you please attach a crash report to this thread? You can find this by navigating to Documents\Guild Wars 2 and it should be the ArenaNet.log file. This may give us some indication as to why you’re experiencing this issue.
By the way after we fix that is their a way to regain our laurels I dont think it is fair to loose so many ive lost like 3 or 4 so far because of the bug.
The clock issue wouldn’t prevent the acquisition of laurels in that high a number. The maximum is 1 per day. In any case, we do not have the capacity to give you laurels.
You should receive a PDF of the guide via email. Could you check your registered email account and see if it arrived? If not, contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page and I believe that they will be able to assist you. (They may need to refer you to Brady Guides support, but I recommend you start with our team.)
Thank you I managed to finally get a reply by using the “ask a question” option, I just hope that I have supplied enough info to be helped. One last silly thing; don’t feel like you have to answer it just a curiosity as I have seen it before when getting emails from you guys. Why would my email program say this:
“This message looks very suspicious to our SmartScreen filters, so we’ve blocked attachments, pictures, and links for your safety. " :p
Interesting question. Your security program (anti-virus, etc.) filter setting may be high enough that a lot of things are getting questioned or outright rejected. Now, I’m not recommending that you reduce your settings, because I sense that you can get the message without seeing the images. But if you want to enable the link, you’ll need to do that manually, from the sounds of it.
Have you tried adding our sending address to your address book, like a “trusted sender?” My email and security programs give me that option; perhaps yours do as well.
Honey I shrunk the short bow. Now I have a cute little Asuran bow.
Still much better than the Risen bone dog bitten bow model we (thank god) didn’t end up having. Now if only it could give out an awesome glow like pretty much almost every other corrupted weapon has hint hint
The bows both have glows at their tips. Is the problem that you are having a hard time seeing them?
This situation can happen if it has been a while since you logged into your Guild Wars account and spoke with Kimmes the Historian. Please log into the game and speak with the living Kimmes the Historian in the Eye of the North and then take the time to check out your monuments. After that, log into Guild Wars 2 and speak with the ghostly Kimmes the Historian and see if he’s got your items for you. If you still don’t have them, go ahead and contact Support so they can help you further.
Hello Teroras. I really encourage your friend to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They should be able to assist him. For tips on what information he should provide in a ticket, please read this post.
You really need to continue your discussions with Support. We cannot assist you with this matter on the forums, because at this point the team needs to verify your ownership of the account in order to assist you, and that information is kept confidential.
Simply reply to the ticket you have in the system and an agent will help you.
If you find you cannot access the support site, then send an email to support@guildwars2.com and the team should be able to get you onto your support account.
As soon as you begin referring to luxury goods as an inflationary issue I start skimming instead of reading. Within the last hour I’ve specifically said that you’re mistaking inflation for what is not inflation. Precursor prices aren’t changing due to inflation.
They are providing the mechanism for exponential earning of wealth via the TP, which, yes, indeed is driving inflation.
I’m a bit busy for the moment, can someone step in and explain why this isn’t true please?
John im pretty sure he already used his item and cannot sell in game. He wants an option to transfer his used commander title to another character
I know, it was a joke because that is the cost of buying a new commander tome. I should stop making jokes

By I, I mean the game.
Are you speaking of precursors or in general?
There are very few “false positives” related to account terminations. Account terminations don’t usually involve “Oh gosh, that guy just sent another account 10 gold — ban him!”
There are other details that are reviewed before an account is flagged as a possible gold seller.
More importantly, each appeal is carefully reviewed with an eye to getting that player back into the game. I don’t deny that errors may be made, but they are, truly, quite few in number and I think that legitimate players should not be worried about this.
Hello everyone, we do have an active bug going for this issue. It should be addressed in the near future
Thank you for the reports! We will be investigating this issue.
The best way to report crashes is to fill out the crash report box that comes up as those reports are sent directly to our programmers so they can fix any bugs on our side (note: you will not get a response to these reports).
In this case, it sounds like your computer may be running out of memory (are you running less than 4GB of RAM?), but I’m guessing. If you want more assistance, you should post in the Tech Support forum as noted in the Bugging Best Practices thread.
As this issue has been resolved, this thread will now be closed.
I will sell one for 100 gold
We are always adding new items to the gemstore and plan to do so. I have my own plans for the goldsellers, they just don’t know I’m coming for them yet.
Thanks for your helpfulness, Pandem. And I’m glad that sorted out ok, WarrGarurumon. If you have trouble in the future, feel free to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page.
Yes, when you upgrade the item it should change the status to soulbound. So the fact that it didn’t is an issue
We’ll look in to that!
Couple of problems though:
1. Players control that market
2. If we were to step in and do that, we would inflate the economy and the extra value you were getting in real terms would be negligible
The Frozen Bow and the Frozen Short Bow are actually two different skins, despite looking similar (the naming conventions are kind of weird). ^^;
I hope that eventually the gem->gold conversion becomes comparable to the black market sellers in an economy where you feel like you can actually get something useful for your money. As it stands, I don’t feel as though I get enough bang for my buck in this economy from gems, and I refuse to support black market traders, so I just don’t spend any money at all; it is frustrating when I’d like to spend the money and get some value out of it, but don’t feel that I can.
This is impossible. If you look at the exchange value trends and the black market trends the black market will always move in sync with the exchange, but significantly cheaper. If it isn’t cheaper virtually nobody would use it, so their prices have to adjust to our prices. They’ll continue to undercut by 300%-500% no matter how cheap the exchange gets until they go out of business and there is no black market.
The only qualifier for this would be people already having more gold over then needed for “anything” – but haven’t bought/equipped/used “anything”. Thus you could deduct that their sole “fun” is the gold itself (/getting more of it).
Of course, if I already expect this kind of answer I can look at numbers and interpret them the way I like to see them. It requires a certain faith to believe that the right questions are being asked.
I doubt 15% of the population falls into such a clear cut pigeon hole. Even if they did, I don’t think you can deduce anything from it.
Take me. I’m not rich in game, but I do have more gold than my “needs.” I have around 30g between 4 level 80s (mainly just from levelling). They are all equiped with rares, with 2 of them having 1 exotic weapon each, that I looted myself. A few even have some greens, because I haven’t figured out exactly what builds (ie stat armors) I want to have. I’m also sitting on over 100 jugs of karma…also, because I’m not sure which exotic armor stat combos I want to spend them on.
I have a set of resources, but I’m not spending them for a variety of non-economic reasons. Some are stat/build reasons. There’s other dealing with what armor skins I want, the clunkiness of the transmutation system, and the question if its even worth it because of the murky timeline on ascended gear.
You can use models and statistics to tell you a lot of things about a data set. You can’t use it to infer motivations, intents and other things going on in people’s heads – not with anything that could be reasonably called scientific in its reproducibility.
I wouldn’t even know where to begin pointing out the massive amount of examples that show that this isn’t true, but for the context I’d start with the Daedalus Project.
Also, holding on to Jugs of Karma for any reason is an economic reason. Economics isn’t about money, it’s about scarcity, the reason you hold those jugs is because you’re mitigating risk on a scarce resource.
If you right click the item and select “Mail item to…” does that work?
Hello there Nanorin. Thank you for the report. I’m sorry that you and your friends are having trouble with the sound in the game. Could you answer a few questions for me? Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.
Did you ever have this problem before the patch?
Did you ever have sound in the game after the patch?
In the Sound Options, have you checked all of the volume faders to make sure that nothing is set to the far left?
Will sound come back if you move the Sound Quality slider in the Sound Options panel or click the “Restore Defaults” button?
Except right now the few people who are buying their legendaries are spending the money on gold sellers instead of anet, but, then again, we don’t know if anet or ncsoft has directly any involvement with those gold sellers. Who knows.
Goldsellers are a plague on the gaming industry, plain and simple, I would sooner associate with Ralphie from “The League”… much, much sooner

I think it’s fair to judge inflation on the items that are worth to think about in end game. Maybe the precursor example is a bit limiting, but it’s the best example for what i meant to say
You would be entirely incorrect in an economic standpoint.
Inflation is measured by the price levels of goods people buy regularly, not the price tags on private jets or other “endgame” goods people buy when they’re extremely wealthy.
This is correct, you cannot measure inflation by luxury goods, or by a single good, or by the several other assumptions you’re making (sell orders represent sales?).
Hey Seveer,
I am going to be forwarding your information on to Quality Assurance, but can you file a Support Ticket as well? This will help us track your issue specifically in addition to addressing the bug causing it in general.
https://en.support.guildwars2.com/
Additionally, can you access your map to use a waypoint, the WvW panel [B] to go to one of the WvW maps, or the PvP panel to “Go to the Heart of the Mists”? If that doesn’t work, try hanging out on the map for a while to see if it eventually kicks you back to the PvP Lobby.
Thanks!
Peter
We do plan on adding more stat combo to existing ascended item types as well as adding more stat combos to new types.

Remember that Sell orders != supply and buy order != demand
Crafting and kill variety are not part of today’s dailies. Check your computer clock and make sure the date/time/timezone are all correct. There’s currently a bug where the game is using your computer time to determine which dailies to display, but the correct (server) time is used to actually track them. So if your clock is off, it will display dailies from a different day. Some of them might be the same as the actual dailies, so you can advance them, but you won’t be able to complete the others.
We’re looking into the chests appearing at the wrong times.
Right now the events only scale to 20 (and the number of spawns caps at scale 10 so the area doesn’t get flooded). One of the things we’ll be doing over the next few months is adding support for much higher scales—so veterans and champions will start showing up at very high scales, or they’ll gain new skills, etc.
It was almost too late to get the fix into last nights build. I’m really happy that we were able to make it happen!
I’ll look into making a safety net for the iron forgeman fight if you die in the lava. Thanks for letting us know.
Hello everyone,
this thread has been accidently moved, sorry for the inconvenience and confusion.
We are currently looking into the rewards for events like this. I will post more information on this as it becomes available. Risk vs Reward is most certainly something we are thinking about.
The bug with sylvari has not been fixed yet.
Actually about 15% of the population finds making money very fun, irrelevant of the uses of that money. Ever gotten unnecessarily rich in a single player RPG like Skyrim?
Nine hours from bug raised to patched. Not bad, not bad at all.
“Black Lion Trading Company Gem Store
Fixed a bug where some players using the Makeover Kit were not getting the face they selected.”
That’s actually a seperate issue with human characters, sorry. : (
Check the runes’ level and the armor’s level. High end runes can’t be used in lower level armor, and vice versa.

Zeivu, don’t lose hope! Our general policy is “No item refunds” (for various reasons), but because the makeover kits are (potentially) real money items, we’re looking at a better solution for this specific problem.

Try “Gameplay” as the category.
Some of the dailies might be applicable to the day your computer thinks it is, so you’ll be able to progress the achievement partway by doing those dailies.
