Hey there Belastorm – I would recommend creating a technical support ticket so that we can further assist you with this issue one on one. We may need to request some diagnostic info that you may not wish to share on the forums which is why I am thinking going the support route may be the best bet with this one.

Hi Belastorm – Just so we can rule out any potential variables that might be causing this issue – do you by chance have any security software currently enabled? This is usually the cause of this particular error message.
I apologize for the lack of the updates on this issue; I can assure you all that we are still working on this. We attempted a potential fix with the last patch, but after checking the crash reports, it looks like it didn’t solve the problem. While we will be continuing to work on a solution, you may encounter this less frequently in the meantime if you lower your sound quality.

Thanks for the report! It would appear that the Hide / Unhide option accidentally went away for town clothing headgear in the latest build, so the setting is currently stuck at whatever you had set it to prior to the build. We’re now tracking the issue.

The broom is equipped in your town clothes.
Couple thoughts:
If 3 people are split up, all could transfer to a low pop server (lower gem cost).This only exists in Europe.
As a player, I believe that world populations will stabilize, and that we’ll find more balance between worlds, and more accessibility for players across worlds. That just seems a logical outcome of the change.
Another “free” transfer ticket for everyone is completely unacceptable as it once again opens servers up to massive population swings with guilds being able to transfer all their members for free at any time.
If you join or are a member of a guild, they may be willing to assist in gold cost to get you transferred if you are going to be an active WvW member. I know my guild is offering to pitch in to get any members over to the right server now that the paid transfers started.
Frankly though, server transfers costs have been telegraphed in every way possible by Anet, including the fact that they’ve been slated since well before launch. You shouldn’t be surprised about it. I think any reasonable individual would assume that hopping around to other servers to get world completion more easily would include some inherent risks of becoming split with friends. (What if those servers your friends were on had become full while you were away from them?)
Precisely. And when 40 of 50 members get onto XX World, and the rest are not able to join, or are too impatient to wait to join, or get the world name wrong, or decide to join another guild on another world, we get tickets saying “Our guild wants to be together. Transfer plox.”
In my personal opinion, this change was messaged adequately and through multiple menas. At this point, the change that was foretold for weeks is in effect and all of us need to work with it now.

I just looked up the game logs. You posted hateful comments against people from two different countries. “We hate XX cuz they bad and stupid thats / we hate XX too.” That is an exact quote from game logs, removing the country names in question.
I’m sure if you think about it you’ll remember it. If you can’t remember it, believe me, we have records of it and the suspension was well-warranted.

Could you kindly ask your guild members if they can see this? Because we know that occasionally the player him- or herself can see the email address, but we do not believe that this visibility extends beyond the player. Meaning, I can see my email address, but no one else can see it. So it’s a small visual oddity, but no big concern.
I’d really like to hear back from you after you ask your guild members or friends if they can see anything other than your display name.

I understand the request, but at this point, restorations/roll-backs are only for account compromise incidents.
Do keep in mind that deleting a character takes three steps. They were extended to require confirmation — up to and including typing out the full character name — to avoid accidental deletions. Such deletions still happen, but they are few and far between, and thankfully so.
Churning Earthquake pulses an AoE cripple several times before the damage portion (the size of the AoE matching how far out the expanding rock ring is). In order to get the 4 second CD instead of the full 30 second CD you have to interrupt it before the first pulse of cripple occurs.
I suggest you contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you.

While the decorations on this armor set may resemble swastikas, they are not intended to (note the unbroken rune lines connecting them to the rest of the runes on the armor). As the current design is also small and unobtrusive, we do not have plans to change it at this time.
As this issue has been resolved, I’ll be closing the thread. 
There are actually two new waypoints that where added with the update yesterday. But you only see them once you are in the map(s) (as they have not been discovered yet).
He is supposed to be a very challenging encounter, but currently he is a wee bit too nasty. We will do some fine tuning in an upcoming build.
As long as you have the item whose look you want to keep on the left, you should not encounter this problem.
Exactly how my friend feels right now but with the up and coming WvW score resets wouldn’t it be logical to let people have 1 more free transfer?
I understand what you’re suggesting, but remember that we had months of free transfers. It seems to me that once the decision is made to make a change, there must be a “start date” and, after communicating what is coming, the change should be implemented. That is what happened here.
If we were to say “Everyone gets one more free transfer” for how long do we offer that? (And what do we say to the player who comes back a week after that period and asks for special accommodation?) How do we message a change?
So while I understand why you’re suggesting that everyone get one more free transfer, I hope you, in turn, see the possible drawbacks to that suggestion. Do rest assured that I will pass along your ideas to the dev team, though!

By default the client will install to Program Files which can sometimes be problematic and for testing purposes we do sometimes ask players to make a folder in the root of their C drive. This shouldn’t cause the client to re-install, however.
Sorry, I don’t know an ETA for this feature. I do know it is still planned in the future.
Planned for the future sounds like it isn’t even being worked on right now. That is disappointing, I’ve been excited for this ever since makeover (which was awesome btw).
Oh no, that’s not what I meant to suggest. The release is planned for the future, but I’m sure it’s on a to-do list and heck, it could some real soon! The point is, don’t despair — we know this is a desirable feature — that’s why we added it to Guild Wars!

No worries, either your mailbox is full — try emptying it (after retrieving all items you wish to keep — or there’s just been a slight “lag” between purchase and delivery. If you did not receive your broom, trying checking your mailbox to make sure it isn’t full. If it is not full, try deleting at least one player-sent mail anyway, and see if the item shows up after that.

Does this apply to other back pieces, like the starting engineer tool pack? Did I just need to put it on the other side of the transmutation window to make it work? (not at home so can’t test this yet)
Yep! This should work for the engineer starter back item as well… though it would only be an issue AFTER you already applied the skin to the Rawhide Leather Strap that comes with the backpack cover. The first time the cover is applied, it will be on the left by default, so you should not run into this.
It’s displaying the daileys based on your system time, but the server actually hands out credit for completing them. So you need to your system time to the correct time. (It’s probably set for the wrong date.)
So has anyone tried setting their system clock to February? Are we able to preview next months Monthlies as well?

Monthly Completionist ‘’You completed your daily category multiple times in a month’’…?And another fun fact, the monthlies for December 2013 include Tixx’s workshop. So I guess we can expect his return?
Edit: unless we have the same Christmas event until 2069 (didn’t bother checking further), I’ll just assume it’s set to a standard rotation
Do note that we generally make and update upcoming monthly achievements for upcoming months when we do updates. The achievements are currently set up for other months, but any of the monthly achievements beyond February are likely to change before we get to those months.
Can you tell me if you’re seeing the number of gems you’re buying and the total price on the left side when this happens?
I purchased th riding broom and I still have yet to recieve the item. I have moved out and back from the area I purchased it and I have also restarted the client. Please help me with this issues so I can get my broom.

Hi unbanx – Have you tried a repair yet? If not you can do so by trying the steps below:
First, navigate to Documents\Guild Wars 2 and delete the local.dat file. Next, please try the following to repair your Guild Wars 2 installation:
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 installation folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Rename this shortcut to “Guild Wars 2 Repair.”
4. Right-click on this shortcut and select “Properties.”
5. Edit the “Target” line to include -repair at the end.
Note: Please make sure -repair is outside of the quotes
Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -repair
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -repair”
6. Once completed, click “Ok” to save your changes.
If you get an error trying to save, your target line may not have the correct format. Please try step 5 again.
7. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Repair” to start the repair process.
Once completed, please try starting Guild Wars 2 again.

Hi MLNeko
If you look next to where it says “Module” in the crash report, you’ll see “igdumd32.dll” which indicates an Intel driver issue.
So, to start I’d reinstall your Intel card drivers and see if this resolves the issue for you.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. We are able to reproduce this if players die in the pools of lava during the final shaman boss fight, and I am working on a solution for this.
Did you notice this happening anywhere other than the pools of lava in the final fight?
Hi TWMagimay – This could be a couple of things. You can reset your in-game settings by deleting the local.dat file and then following up with a repair. Your local.dat file is generally located at Documents\Guild Wars 2 or just in your Guild Wars 2 folder if you’re using Windows XP.
Additionally, I’d even suggest a clean installation of your video card drivers if you haven’t tried this already, in addition to a re-installation of DirectX.
Without seeing any system diagnostic information, however, this is just what I think could be the issue here.
I’ll look into this for the next patch. As it stands right now this situation can be mitigated through proper dodge and stability, so it’s not blocking any content and not an emergency issue.
I think my solution for this will be to teleport dead players who die in the lava to the edge of the lava so that other players can revive them, but they won’t be in complete safety from the boss.

If your client is being run from a temporary location, such as your “Downloads” folder or even your “Documents” folder, then it is very likely that every time you launch the client from this location, the installation will begin all over again.
