Just a quick note about this kind of attitudes and how to report them: if you think you have witnessed an unfair in-game episode and you would like the team to revise the players that took part in it and the situation, you can also proceed to report to our Customer Support team using the in-game ticketing system (screenshots and details -place, hour of the incident, etc- about the event would be desirable).
Just remember that like we don’t permanently ban anyone on the forums for first time offences, the same goes in-game. The more you report, the better the game world will be.

We’ve noticed a lot of overly aggressive and rude/disrespectful behavior in the WvW sub forums. That’s why we decided to post this reminder in order to clarify our community standards.
First of all, as the Code of Conduct says:
“Do not engage in personal attacks against forum members or in character assassination. Posts that attack another member, that single out a player for ridicule, or that accuse someone of inappropriate in-game actions will be removed without notice.”
Also, if you witness suspected behavior in game that could be violations of the in-game Rules of Conduct, please do not post these reports on the forum, as we’ll have to remove them. Any in-game misbehavior should be reported via the in-game report tool or through the ticketing system to our Customer Support Team with all required details such as screenshots, videos etc… Both methods will help.
Secondly, regarding exploits: posting exploits on the forum is not permitted as the forum moderation team does not investigate those issues. That’s why exploits have to be sent to the following address: exploits@arena.net or to our Customer Support Team as explained above. Reports of exploits sent by either of these two methods reach the correct people who can then investigate.
And finally, one of the most important points, which is also available for every sub forum: be polite and respectful towards each other. These forums are meant to be constructive, and while we understand that a bit of zeal can sometimes be necessary in the spirit of competition, please keep in mind that all inflammatory, rude, and disrespectful posts will be removed. So let’s reserve the energy to fight on the in-game battlefields and not on our forums.
With these simple rules in mind, we would like to offer you a friendly place where all exchanges can be done in a respectful way and according to the sportsmanship needed for those intensive battles that are going on in WvW.

Yes, we would like to ask you to send a ticket to Customer Support as every ticket and every report also helps us to focus on possible errors or issues and to study them more in depth. I personally would not recommend an account roll-back for 9 gold, New Creator, but this is only my opinion, although I totally understand the feeling of frustrating that this kind of loss brings. Just make sure you provide all the details to Customer Support so they can forward the issue to the team. I will also do the same today.

When reporting story bugs, please include the name of the story step, and what exactly happened. There are several L80 story steps, so your post is too vague.
We are looking into this quite intensely. It may have been simple human error — which is especially regrettable after your previous block! — or perhaps there is more information that the agent can share tomorrow. Do you have “fast cast ground targeting” turned on in options? If so, it’s trying to fire the trebuchet at your mouse cursor, which is probably in an invalid position for the trebuchet.
During the initial jumping puzzle, if you fall off, you’re moved back to the start so you don’t end up in an area where you can’t continue. You can either use the #4 downed skill (Bandage) to revive and try again, or you can allow yourself to die and restart at the checkpoint, which is past the bridge. So it’s entirely optional, but not obvious.
For the traps, evade!
“A new player enters the designated area” is the same thing as a constant check. I’m not sure how to explain what I mean, but it’s not a one-time thing. A note on tigirius’ suggestion—it’s something we’ve been trying to do, but it’s not automatic and does require some hand-scripting so we haven’t done it everywhere yet. During the story steps, for example, we often have an enemy ignore combat while it appears, then aggro normally once it’s completed its animation. (Undead spawning in a cloud of putrescence, enemies leaping out of trees, etc.)

In the meantime, you can also use the nearby mortars to fight the Risen. The objective is based on killing X giants.

So, the game would constantly check for nearby players from the moment the respawn timer expired? If you have to do this for every monster, it would be extremely taxing to the servers. (Plus the added overhead of storing player IDs any time a creature dies, so you have a list to check against.)
if I’m reading it right, it does a check for players when it tries to respawn. So another player would have be in the area at the exact moment that the creature tried to respawn. If they passed through and were not in range when the timer hit 0, the creature would not respawn.
As I’ve mentioned in another thread, what if a player camps on top of an event boss or other unique spawn to prevent them from appearing?
Was unjustly banned for “selling gold” yesterday. They restored it today and all I asked for was an apology. Support won’t give me one for some reason and told me come post here seeking one from the devs.
Can I just get an acknowledgement that an error was made and that you’ve corrected it and that you will do your best not to let it happen again in the future? Is that too much to ask?

The response from the agent was slightly off kilter. He said to posts suggestions in the Suggestions Forum; instead you are posting to ask for an apology. I think it should be clear that you were not told to come post here to demand an apology.
The fact is that your account was hacked and the hacker used it to advertise a gold sales site. Your account was closed to protect it. Our agent researched the case, reinstated your account, and provided you with tips on how to maintain better personal account security in the future. You then asked for an apology.
Now, we cannot apologize for the hacking incident, as the issue was not on our side. We cannot apologize for the fact that the account was used for gold sales advertising, because again, that was not our issue. If it caused you some sort of distress to be told the details of the incident, or to see the change in status from “Gold Seller” to “Hacked Account” before its ultimate restoration, then of course we are sorry.

A while ago, didn’t you mention a bug in Orr where the number of spwan locations was less than the number of spawning npcs, thus making npcs spawn more often than the timer should allow?
The specific issue which I found (and it should be corrected in the end of month update) was that there were more creatures than spawn points, which didn’t change the respawn timer at all, but it could cause multiple creatures to spawn on the same point.
We don’t block spawns based on player proximity since it could be abused to block events/etc. by parking a player on the spot where a specific NPC is supposed to spawn so that they never appear.
Information like the Southsun Cove location above is very helpful, as would any specific spots where you’re seeing cases like the boss+minions that respawn too quickly.

It’s not the only case. The other case is when you enter into an Overflow. The “You’re in an overflow” pops up after 5-8 seconds, which causes this exact same type of frustration by causing hero panels etc. to pop up as you’re typing. If you’re fixing this one with PvP, can you also fix that one with overflow messages? Thanks Evan.

That is pretty annoying. It’s caused by the death breakdown dialog popping up. Usually you want dialogs to clear key focus. For instance, pressing the hero dialog button. This is a special case (maybe the only case) where a titled dialog pops up without player input. I’m fixing it now.

There was an earlier thread about this, the TL;DR version is:
- Respawn times are NOT 15s outisde of events, 95-120s is the typical range
- A lot of factors can make the respawn seem faster—if monsters in the same spawn group are being killed elsewhere they might respawn in your location (they don’t reappear in the same spot)
- Closed locations like caves can make you run over the same area repeatedly, causing you encounter respawns where you would normally (in an open area) have already moved on
- Orr in general is a known problem, and the base spawns are being toned down as I type this
In general, if you can provide a specific location where the respawn rate seems out of whack, I can look at it, but in almost every case I’ve looked at, the respawn times were well over a minute.

I really laughed at makes my brain cry, going to use that in the future, thanks!
This is achieved by (there are more tricks, bugs & exploits used
):
- Use of “hacks” to automatically extract the information from the TP (guess how GW2Spidy works, it uses a basic “hack” to update itself by accessing the TP server directly)
- Use of external tools to calculate margins on forgeable items (includes salvaging, regular crafting and MF crafting)
- Use of external statistic tools to predict daily / weekly / event based price fluctuations
- Cheating around TP fees (it is possible, not all traders do that)
- Placing orders, selling and withdrawing items automatically (this is new, since December there are bots which can do the TP without human interaction, not all traders do that)

GW2 Spidy is not hacking, they are not doing anything illegal, it’s a fantastic site.
