with support and they said I can update my account with a new serial code… I bought it and tried but I’ve got error with Invalid Region so tried to contact with Support to get info if they can do something with this, but instead any answer my tickets are automaticly marked as “duplicate” and they dont answer.

This skill should be visible amongst your traits, although it will be “greyed out” until you reach Level 30, at which time is becomes usable.

Hi there , so I recently tried (like15min ago) to purchase some gems. I had paid off my credit card on Friday but I guess it hadn’t been processed yet. So I was wondering after I tried to purchase gems if I was going to be charged at all, it said to contact customer service to confirm my identity, but I have yet to do that. So yea, just wanna know if I’m going to be charged

You wouldn’t be charged until we could process the purchase. If you have concerns, go ahead and submit a ticket, and naturally if you are charged and don’t receive the gems we’ll want to hear from you so we can make it right.

The permanent items are rare, but the nature of random chance items means that you could get lucky and get a rare item after opening two chests, or… you could “roll” badly and open hundreds of chests and not get one. That is the way random chance works. However, Black Lion Chests do give useful items every time you open them. You may not get that elusive rare item you hope for, but you will get something you can use. As always, we do not encourage anyone to spend more money in the Gem Store than they are comfortable with.

Also, when I just put my normal name and Billing Address, it just tells me Card Approval Failed. (Also I have activated my Visa Gift Card on it’s web site). So I am really not sure what to do, help.

Ive heard those gift cards flag your account for permanete non-transaction. Aka they wont ever let you buy anything. It has to do with their fraud and stolen card detection system.

I have never heard that a gift card will result in a permanent block for purchases! Please don’t start rumors, but allow us to help players with facts and accurate information.

If you want only a very specific number of gems, you can always use the currency exchange.

This issue was addressed in another thread.

Right now, with the way our dungeons are balanced, it’s not an easy thing to nerf/buff/balance the rewards for each dungeon individually compared to other dungeons. Even within a single dungeon’s paths there can be different difficulties (Detha vs Hodgins for example), so making AC reward different from CoE would still not be entirely fair.
We made the update as a blanket fix to dungeons, which as a whole were having loot problems. My feelings towards Arah vs AC rewarding is of course that there is an imbalance due to time that is fairly steep, but rewards shouldn’t be based solely on time, but also on difficulty. I personally lean towards a skew of 70/30 in terms of difficulty:time in regards to reward, but that requires a finer granularity in rewards that we didn’t get with the blanket fixes to the loot system.

Rest assured though, that we are not done with loot changes. We are always analyzing, evaluating, and changing as needed to try and make things better.

EDIT:

Since coin rewards was a heavier topic in this thread than general rewards, we looked at some of the most profitable farming spots in the game, and knew we had to bring dungeon rewards up to a point that made dungeons worth running to people interested in farming, that way we could spread the player base out a bit more and bring them to dungeons.
Dungeon coin reward buff will have little impact on inflation, due mainly to the fact that it isn’t any more profitable than some of the higher farmed areas in the game.

I just got an email with an analysis and a work-around on one of the Gem Store purchase issues, where you try to buy and cannot click “next” to complete the purchase. Granted, this doesn’t solve every issue, but it’s a step forward and I want to share this work-around:

What is happening is that the “next” button on the final screen does not get enabled after filling out their billing information. What seems to be happening is the form does not recognize that the customer has entered all the information into the form and in turn, they cannot complete their purchase. If the customer simply “tabs out” of that last field (for the card’s expiration date), they are able to click next and confirm the purchase on the following page.

I wanted to post this right away, and I’m hoping that someone will let me know if this suggestion does work for them. We have a “bug” listed for this, but I’m super curious about whether this work-around is effective.

As far as I understand it, this account was terminated due to an ownership dispute. This is a rare occurrence, but it does happen when two people can provide the a goodly amount of proofs of ownership and it’s impossible for us to determine with accuracy who actually purchased the account. When that is the case, we have no choice but to permanently close the account.

The name change you mention was part of the whole “disputed ownership” issue, and, that being said, this thread is rather moot, for the account is now closed.

Currently we feel that one week matches are the right length for WvW and so we don’t have any plans to change the match length at this time. Should the game evolve to a point where two week matches make sense then we will, of course, consider making that change.

I don’t know if or when world transfer cooldowns might change.

Just out of curiosity since this bug took so long to find and fix, what was causing the bug to begin with? I’m not looking for any highly technical reason, just being curious in general.

The fixes are related to translating time from one format to another under a very specific set of circumstances and to the parts of the system that are supposed to recover if something goes wrong when translating time from one format to another. It’s a bit like having your breaks and airbags fail at the same time. Either one is bad, but both together… ouch.

I don’t believe we’ve announced our next patch date so I can’t be any more specific than saying that it’s in an upcoming patch. Sorry to be so vague, but rules are rules. It should be coming fairly soon though.

In an upcoming patch the WvW capture points will be updated to follow the same rules as the PvP capture points with respect to invisibility & invulnerability. As a result invisible & invulnerable players will no longer contest capture points.

When match reset time comes around the game lets the final score tick finish and then spends a bit of time preparing the next match. This process is initiated at 00:00 GMT, but as the last score tick can add up to 15 minutes the reset occurs a bit after that.
