GW2 is an amazing game and I would like to keep playing it.
Obviously one is one too many, but this is a human process and in any process there will be the occasional error. If you demand perfection, you will never find it. If you expect excellence, you’ll find it in Guild Wars 2, from the game to our commitment to serving our players.
so all this mess is due to poor logs reading?
What? Where did you get that idea? Thousands of bots are terminated a day. A few — a very few — are errors, and we deal with them as quickly and as fairly as possible.
The delay in a official response makes it worse
As I have said, most of these are dealt with within hours. I don’t know how quickly you’d expect them to be addressed, but reinstatements due to error are a priority and will be handled as quickly as possible, as fairly, and as thoroughly as possible.

Most ölikely it was you who tried to log in all the time. Maybe your ISP just showed the wrong location. AS far as its not a different country at all i wouldnt be concerned.
Sorry, but this is bad advice. A lot of account thieves use proxies that make their access appear to come from, say, California or Kentucky or Quebec or Paris, when in fact they’re nowhere close to those locations.
If you see any access attempt coming from a reasonable distance, I’d block it.

i find it helpfull that ppl are posting their banns even if the forums are closed. thousend of players get banned for nothing. And without thouse posts we wouldnt even know that ist a major issue of anet, they have still to solve. 1 hours ago their was a false positive bann wave again and ppl are using this forum for their agony.

Let me give you a couple of updates about this thread. Again, this is not an official thread, and we’re not looking at this thread to find people we can help (because we have others means to do that, see below).
If you care to join in in this thread, you’re joining a player-to-player conversation, acceptable in our forums if the conversation remains positive and helpful.
Some notes:
- If your account is terminated for botting, contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page.
- Generally you will be helped very quickly (the average is well under 24 hours) but if you find you still need help after three days, feel free to post in the Tickets for Review thread, which is at the top of this Account Support sub-forum.
- Don’t post here repeatedly, or heatedly, or as a call to get everyone to pick up their great swords and make this a crusade. If your posts consist of the same repeated complaints, you are putting your forum privileges at risk. This sort of commentary contributes nothing to our ability to help players or to correct any issues related to false positives and we truly want to help!
- We know there are false positives. When you’re banning thousands, there is some chance that an innocent player will be banned. We regret that deeply, and we work constantly to improve the processes (which are not automatic, by the way) to avoid false positives.
- Most importantly, you should know that a number of the people in this thread posting about their “unjust ban” are, in fact, botters. They may be RMT workers from a foreign country; they may be the guy down the street who is using a bot program and doesn’t think we can detect it. Not everyone is guilty, for certain! Not even the majority posting here are botters! But equally certain, not everyone protesting an account termination here is innocent, either. Please keep that in mind when you read this thread: The volume of posts, or the heat of the protest does not equate to the actual number of innocent players.
And again, we want to help, and we will, if you file a ticket and let us review the case.

Hey guys, all of you who submitted a Game Advisor report all have some sort of security software running. You may need to either disable, remove, or configure the software to allow Guild Wars 2. Additionally, Aleksia and Farren – this may also be due to your connection method as well. I would recommend connecting directly via Ethernet cable to see if this resolves the issue.

Do you have any incomplete objectives? I didn’t run into any problems with this story step, though I did notice that you can get into the dredge cave and bypass the door you’re expected to destroy.

Currently Customer Support is unable to proceed with this kind of refunds as they do not have the tools to do so. Besides, most of the times, these accidents are personal slips of the player rather than an internal bug or error. In this respect, some users have been already suggesting the implementation of a confirmation popup, which could be indeed a good solution.

Yes, there are other players like you who accidentally bought items that they did not need. In these cases, I am afraid, Customer Support does not do refunds as the purchase was the player´s mistake and not something created or cause by a bug or internal error. In this respect, some players have already suggested a confirmation popup system when purchasing in the Suggestion subforum.

Would be grateful if someone from ArenaNet could confirm that this is on the list of bugs to be fixed, so we can all look forward to using the elemental Eyes again.
We understand it’s not a top priority bug, but just knowing it will eventually be addressed would mean a lot.
I can do that! We do have a bug on this, but due to other high priority issues we’re working on, we don’t have any estimate on when it will be fixed.

Some players are experiencing this problem, which is known inside the team. Try entering the Chantry of Secrets, in the Bloodtide Coast, south of the entry point from Lions Arch. Some of you need to enter there to get the achievement and Gifts of Exploration. If this does not help you, please, proceed to make a search in the Game Bugs subforum and post in one of the already existing threads.
