Hey guys, there are a few different things that could be causing this error message and this will depend on each player’s own personal system and connection set up and because of these individual setups the resolution will vary.
I’m glad to see that Google DNS resolved the issue for you. Another resolution to this issue would be a Winsock reset or to VPN in order to download the last couple of files. We don’t generally recommend for players to VPN although in some cases it is the only way to complete the installation/update.

Skyph, what Renegadeimp says is right. At the moment it is only allowed to change from server to server once per week. Later on we will implement the feature of guesting.

Thanks for your concerns. As we have been repeatedly stating, our team is working tirelessly in this botting issue (check this thread for more info) and developing their own internal measures. The best thing players can do at the moment is continue to report every incident of suspected botting behavior they witness using the in-game ticketing system.

The best way of dealing with your connectivity problems would be to write a ticket to Customer Support and describe them the exact issues you are facing, along with the error codes. The more information you provide, the better they can help you. If your ticket gets more than three days unresolved, please, post your reference number and problem in the following thread.

You need to write to Customer Support a ticket (follow this link), providing them your error code and as many details as possible. They are the ones who can effectively help you.

thank you very much for your feedback. Please continue helping by reporting bots using the in-game tool and/or customer support.
Please keep in mind that it’s 8pm on a Saturday locally, so it might be a couple of days before someone is available to look at the issue. I’ve never heard of this bug, so I don’t have any useful infomation, sorry!
Is the story step still active? What was the step name?
You don’t get mail from events. Maybe you’re mixing up events and hearts? Skill challenges also use the event UI, but don’t count as events.
I haven’t been able to reproduce this bug after multiple tries. Do any of the NPCs appear “stuck” on the bridge? (They might have been walking past a mortar when it was built, causing them to get stuck in the prop.)
If you have “fast cast ground targeting:” turned on in the options, it will try to use your current mouse cursor position as the point you’kittengeting, so if it’s off-screen or hovering over a distant object you’ll get the “out of range” error.
