I feel sure you’ll get the items in the next distribution, but if you want to post in the Tickets for Review thread above, I can track this for you. I’ll need the 12-digit incident number.

Thanks for the feedback, dybryd.
If you change worlds, your Influence remains on the world on which it was earned. It will be there if you choose to move back to that world in the future, but it does not port to a new world.

It was not fun for me. I will not do it again. I’ve not been bothered at all that jumping puzzles exist for those who enjoy them, but if this sort of mechanic becomes an integral part of the game such as it was here, I’m out.
This is very valuable feedback for me. Thanks. Since the MK boss map is required for completion I’ll go in and make the descent a lot easier for next year. (Assuming that map will even be around next year, which I do not know.) The last thing I want to do is alienate players who don’t like platforming. The point of the relatively small amount of resources we put toward JPs are meant to bring more people in, not trade one demographic for another.

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. As this thread is starting to be an inflammatory one I will now close it.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi,
As Grimjester said, you can use the ingame report tool to report bots, but you can also do it by sending a request to our customer support with all necessary details.
Thank you for your help!
Hey there Otton Carlos – I’m seeing a few things here that could be causing this issue. First, your graphics card could certainly prevent you from playing. Often times the client won’t even install if you are using a card that is well below the minimum requirements (I do see where you mentioned you have to use the onboard card because of your PSU).
Additionally, the amount of hard disk space on your system may also be preventing the client from patching.
Lastly, AVG could also be preventing you from patching. As a temporary troubleshooting step you may need to configure, disable, or remove it to see if it is the cause of the issue.
I’m not sure I understand the bug, the location in the screenshot is well within the instance boundary, so there’s nothing preventing you from reaching it.
Hello Voqar,
we have a sticky thread about botting in this section, also please read the statement by Colin Johanson. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Lets-talk-about-that-GW2-Article-on-Gamespy/page/2#post558147
It should answer some of your questions regarding how bots are handled by the support team.
This thread will be closed, please participate in the linked thread instead.
Greetings

There are actually three questions here, that I can see, so I will try to answer each.
- There is a plan to offer character names changes. It won’t be in right away, but in the future you will be able to purchase a name change in the Gem Store. Of all the name-change options, I believe this will be the first one that is developed.
- Changing Display Names is a different issue, and we may or may not offer the ability to change the user name — such as Gaile Gray.6028 — in the future. If it comes, I believe it will not be for some months.
- Some players have asked about changing Guild Names. I passed that along to the team that works on the BLTC/Gem Store, and that may be something that is offered for gems in the future. I believe that would be quite some time away, if it comes at all.

After a careful reevaluation of orbs of power we have decided to remove them from WvW in an upcoming build. As implemented, orbs tend to strengthen teams who are already winning and make it even more difficult for underdog teams to fight back. In addition, the current implementation seems to be irresistible to hackers/cheaters and will require significant modification to prevent cheaters from having an unfortunately large impact on the state of any given WvW game. Under the circumstances we believe that removing orbs completely is a better choice than attempting an in-place redesign/re-implementation as it will immediately put a stop to all orb hacking. It is likely that orbs, or some orb-like mechanic, will return at some point in the future, but only after we are confident that they will not exhibit the sorts of issues that we see with orbs today.

Update:
We’ve disabled the server while we investigate this issue further; this will cause new maps to be created to replace the old ones, but will not kick players who are in old map.
In other words, if you were in a map (and not a personal instance) and experiencing this issue, or if you’re trying to meet up with a friend on one of these maps, the player who was in the old map will want to relog so that they can travel to the new map.
Thank you for your help in reporting this issue, everyone!

Hey everyone,
After further investigation, we’ve identified some issues with one of our servers – this appears to be causing severe lag (10 – 20 sec delay) in certain maps on a few different EU servers. I’ve condensed threads as the following server/map combinations all stem from the same root issue:
- Aurora Glade – Black Citadel
- Underworld – Fireheart Rise
- Vabbi – Lornar’s Pass
We’re continuing to investigate this issue, so please bear with us while we straighten this out. In the meantime, if you’re experiencing bad lag, please be sure to note which map and server you’re on.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
— Live Response Embed —
Hello Sloak,
then you should report it and describe the issue in detail.
Greetings
Which server are you on? Thanks!
— Live Response Embed —
Hello GADefence,
you should consider to report the issue as detailed as possible. It’s not a good idea to ask other users to “test” that bug, so that they may probably lose an item themselves.
Greetings
Thank you for the additional details! I’ve verified this in game and contacted our server team; we’ll be investigating the issue.

It’s a puzzle. Zojja will pretty much tell you how to pass the gate if you talk to her.
You need to use emotes (not skills) to trigger each of the 3 motion sensors in front of the gate. “Yes”, “Surprised”, and “Laugh”. TIming doesn’t matter.
This thread has more than run it’s course so it’s time to say goodbye. /wave
As with the majority of our patches, there should be no downtime. Any patch notes will be made available sometime after the completion of the patch.
It’s going to end with a build. Not a bang but with a whimper. I think it’s say to safe we had enough one time events for this holiday.
The one thing I miss is him killing you!
And Rock, Paper, Scissors! Please bring those emotes back, ANEt!
When I was building it I thought it would be in poor taste to break people’s armor. So he brings you down to 1% health instead.
You get bags on subsequent runs. 25 if you get it all right.

Hi Guys,
We already warned you on the previous page, but I would like to make a last reminder here.
I ask you to stay polite and constructive when you want to express your opinion on our forums. Making a “nationality war” won’t help anyone here as it removes all the fun that can be brought by the battles between servers.
Stay respectful when you talk to your opponents and let’s fight on the battlefield, but not on the forums.
Thank you.
The trading post is specifically designed to allow buy offers. The forums are not a tertiary marketplace.
I apologize to anyone that’s experienced this issue. Rest assured that if you have the achievements, we’ll get the meta achievement to update properly through some mechanism in a future build. In other words, I got your back and I’ll do my best to make sure nobody gets left hanging.
Yes you can still open them
As long as jumping puzzles are optional, that’s fine, but requiring one as they did with the Mad King fight crosses the line. If they are going to require jumping puzzles to complete regular content, then they should fix things so all players have an equal chance.
I did not consider the MK boss map as a jumping puzzle. All you are doing is dropping down. And I made it so there are MANY paths down.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
Noooo!
Don’t change what you’re doing! The mad king mini-dungeon layout was fantastic, really spiced it up with the small amount of jumping required. Think of how boring it would be if you just went in and fought him on a flat level :/
Oh I wasn’t saying I was changing anything. I was just seriously surprised that anyone would consider the verticality in that map a ‘jumping puzzle’.
Quick response.
1) Astraea is correct here. Assuming your preferences are representative of preferences as a whole is incorrect.
2) The Gold to Gem exchange isn’t an indicator of gold’s current value. Or rather it can’t be effectively used as one from your end. The demand for gems for Halloween items played a large role in the exchange recently. This doesn’t mean gold is less valuable, it just means gems were in demand.
3) Astraea
4) None of what you said here is true
5) I have an update coming out for this soon
6) Astraea is correct, the sheer volume of items traded in the TP makes it much harder to speculate than normal. Also it’s very likely you’re mistaking natural market patterns for manipulation.
I think it is unfortunate that they design an event that puts you at a disadvantage based on choices you made during character creation.
I agree that this was unfortunate. But it was not intentional. When I designed the map I thought we were going to be able to have single-player instances.
Arenanet is showing its bias and bigotry against large characters, by putting in an event which results in large characters, (Norn and Char) becoming the targets of derision and scorn because the environment of the jumping puzzle puts them at a disadvantage and obscures the puzzle for others.
I do, truly feel bad about this. From the ground up, we designed our game mechanics to encourage cooperation and altruism in the community, and this JP’s mechanics broke that design aesthetic. It was an accident, but I still accept responsibility for it.
A good game designer would not design a dungeon that required you to be a certain height to shoot over an obstacle, but Arenanet seems to have no compunction telling Norn and Char tough luck when it comes to tight spaces and jumping puzzles. New players ought to be warned that the camera completely bugs out in tight spaces for large characters, and the large character models completely obscure the path in jumping puzzles.
Well, ideally we will continue tweaking our camera until this is not a problem. Throughout the development of GW2 I was very purposefully pushing the boundaries of spatial layout and mechanics, because I believe you can’t know what your limits are until you pass them. One of the themes I tried to explore in a couple places was claustrophobia. (Specifically in Troll End, which I consider to be my worst JP) I always play as the largest male Norn in these areas while I’m building and testing them. One of the reasons for pushing the limits like this is that our engine is malleable because we are an MMO, so we are always tinkering, and it’s possible to push the direction of the engine in new and interesting ways, but only if there are compelling mechanics to justify those changes. I’m one of the guys always pushing and pushing to try to discover new compelling mechanics. That means a lot of experiments. And the nature of experiments is that some fail. But I assure you, at no point have I, or anyone here, built something that totally sucks for one of the races and said, “Well, screw THOSE guys! I don’t care about Norn!”

Just wanted you guys to know we’re looking at this specifically right now. We will probably bring down the raw spike DPS for some builds, but we’ll be careful to increase other areas to compensate.

If your account has been terminated “for engaging in or assisting with gold or item sales for real-world money” it is possible that your account has been compromised. Generally intruders use compromised accounts to disperse in-game spam for various gold-selling websites. This generally results in the account being terminated, often leaving the legitimate owner of the account with no idea why their account is closed.
I know most of you have already submitted a support ticket, but if you have not done so, this is an important step in getting your account returned to you.

Tried 4 or 5 times, then said “nope, I’m’a farm some more candy corns.” Been happy since.
When I made this map I was HOPING that people who aren’t into jumping would do exactly this. They’d see a fun Halloween looking environment, maybe get to the first chest and snag a goodie, then be on their merry way. I see now it was a mistake to make the hardest jumping challenge in the game part of an in-your-face update like a holiday event. I’m not going to stop making difficult stuff like this, they just won’t be so prominent in the future. I honestly hate making people upset and have a very high level of empathy. So it’s been hard hearing all the people that are so angry, frustrated and sad because of something I’ve made. But it’s just another lesson learned.
Yes, Halloween should be over tomorrow in it’s entirely. No Thanksgiving or anything like that. As for what’s next, you’ll have to wait and see.
I like this idea, TG. I don’t know if I’ll be on the Holiday team next Halloween, but if I am I’d be up for making a destroyable version of my map.
I worked way too hard on that thing to throw it away! That would make me cry. Haha… spent a lot of my free time on it actually. You know it has 4,000 frames of animation, and I had to hand track every single frame that a splash happened on every single fish for the audio guys to sync it up. Not that we will never permanently destroy anything. In fact… well, I can’t say more than that. But NOT the lion statue. It’s the symbol of LA. Like the Statue of Liberty is for New York or the Eiffel Tower is for Paris.
You can report a scammer. Screenshots aren’t necessary we’ll know on investigation.
We’re looking into this issue.
Thank you for these reports. =)
People are upset because they’re passionate about the game (which is awesome) and they want it to live up to its full potential.
I don’t take negative posts personally. Rather, I try to put myself in their shoes, listen to what they’re really trying to say (once you get past the rage), and try to find a way to fix the cited issues, if I think they’re good for the game.

Hi Otton Carlos – I’d like to collect a Game Advisor report so I can look into why you might be experiencing this issue. You can download the Game Advisor application at the link below:

Please note that you will be automatically prompted to install Game Advisor upon clicking the link. Once you’ve generated the report, you can attach it to this thread by clicking “More posting & formatting options…”
Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback here. The fact that the “holy trinity” is not necessary anymore may be disturbing but with a bit of organization, team play and coordination, dungeons are really doable and can bring you some fun.
I personally tried it and to be honest the first dungeon was just cataclysmic but now it gets better and better, and it’s really a good experience as well as a good entertainment. I think the best, at the beginning, is to do it with players you know and try to elaborate tactics depending on the professions you are playing.
But it’s just my opinion
Hi FlashChi – Could you attach a DxDiag report to the thread? My first thought is outdated or corrupt drivers. I would do a clean installation of the latest drivers even if you have already updated to the most recent ones available.

Thanks for the feedback, Loyheta.
Hi Lucas Ashrock – If you could provide us with the rest of your system specs this will help us better understand why you might be getting low FPS. If you simply updated your graphics card without updating any other hardware in your system, it is a possibility that your graphics card may be bottlenecking the rest of your system and causing if not contributing to this issue.
Hi,
Indeed, you did the right action by reporting this user. As Corian said, this message is just to prevent in case of someone abusing this system without reason, so you have nothing to fear.
Thank you for your help & support!
Thanks for bringing this up. I’ll flail my arms at the appropriate people to see what kind of solutions can be found about this issue.
