What do you mean by “an unofficial server.” If you mean a third-party game server, those are strictly disallowed and no advertisement of such a thing — if it exists — would be allowed, no matter how infrequently it was posted.

If you are experiencing unusually slow performance while running the Guild Wars 2 Mac Beta client on a MacBook Pro with Retina display, be sure that your operating system is fully updated.
If you continue to have problems, try resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). Complete instructions for doing this can be found in this Apple Support knowledge base article:

The problem is known to recur, and the SMC reset will need to be performed each time you encounter the issue.
It should also be noted that the performance issue can appear on systems running under Windows. An SMC reset will also be needed if you encounter the problem while playing the Guild Wars 2 PC client under a Windows Boot Camp partition on a MacBook with Retina display.

To report in Guild Wars 2, select the character and then go to the upper, center of your screen and right click on that character’s portrait. When you do that, you’ll see a lot of options, including “Report” at the bottom of the list. Choose report and submit your note then.
Satan is not in the filter at the present time, but I feel that it is likely to offend if used in even an marginal way.

Hi all,
Is there anyone with a MacBook Pro with Retina display for whom the SMC reset is not resolving performance issues? If so, please post your system specs here and we’ll look into it. Thank you!
I’m probably the definition of an alt-aholic, but for the moment, my main is a Ranger. I love running around with my pet spider exploring different areas.
Five of five experienced agents — a mix of males and females — agreed that the name was either intended or accidental “creative spelling” for a body part. I did not count myself in the vote, and saw “critter,” but the others pointed out that the spelling was just too close as to make them uncomfortable.
I acknowledge the name is used in other games. But just as we’d disallow the name Penus, even through it’s not precisely spelled like a body part, we will hold the block on this name.
We’re looking into it, but we haven’t been able to reproduce after a dozen run throughs of the story step, so it’s a bit tricky.
1 – Try the story step solo. This appears to only happen if you play co-op (since more creatures are spawned.)
2 – Look around the from entrance of the fort, there’s occasionally a Risen who will hide out under/around the ramp leading into the fort.
As posted above:

Can you define rarity lynsey? Do you mean just any level 80 exotics or do you mean extremely hard to get exotics like named ones? Do crafted weapons constitute as less rare?
Though not all Exotics are “created equal” they are all of the same rarity: Exotic.

2- Create a request for our customer support with all details needed and/or proof attached to your mail.

Its already been stated by the dev that the forge is the only way to get them. However, they throw around so many half truths (like this thread, and the one about no DR on the forge), anything they say can be taken with a grain of salt at this point.
What “half truths” are you talking about? Everything I have said here and about DR in the Mystic Forge is 100% true to my knowledge, and I happen to know a lot about these things.

As requested by the creator of this thread, we will now close it.
As a quick note, the higher the level and rarity of the things you are throwing into the forge, the better your chances of getting a Legendary Precursor.
I’ve asked a programmer to look at this, sounds like the 10/8 update broke something.
Try running it solo, it might be a scaling issue.
EDIT: It looks like it’s set up correctly, so the only thing I can figure is that one of the undead is either spawning in a bad spot, or being pulled to a bad spot by combat. Check around all the routes they attack from, and check around the fortress gate, to see if any are “stuck”.

“We”? How many players were in the group?
We’ve now played through this about a dozen times with no blocking issues, so I’m having a hard time trying to identify the problem.
I’ve asked a programmer to look at it, what’s baffling is that it was fine about 2 weeks ago, and there’s nothing on the content end that appears to be incorrect.
In the 9/25 build 
Those recipes are very specific to the dropped item. Cobbling one together using transmutation stones and a sigil, isn’t going to work.

Sorry, no. Guild Wars 2 is played by people from many dozens of countries, from a variety of cultures, ages, genders, and racial backgrounds. We’ll keep the game world pleasant by not allowing the names of mass murderers and other unsavory people. That’s our policy and that has proved to be a reasonable and well-accepted practice.
I believe you used a shared password, and that’s a very bad thing. For more information, please see Mike O’Brien’s article on account security. I do not believe that they got your credentials from Guild Wars.
As far as changing your password, I’m sorry you’re having difficulties. I encourage you to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you.
We’ve seen players discussing the topic of crafting legendary precursor weapons and claiming that we’ve made changes to make this more difficult. We’d like to be clear that we did not make any across the board changes to reduce the drop rate, nor was it our intention to significantly increase the difficulty in acquiring these precursor weapons.
We did fix a few bugged recipes that were rewarding Legendary precursors more often than they should have been. These recipes were mostly using Rares in the level 70-75 range and mostly affected the precursors for the greatswords and the dagger. This has had some effect on the drop rate when using lower level rares to attempt to get a precursor but it was never intended for that to be the best way of acquiring these weapons. The recipes for throwing in level 80 exotics have not changed at all.
We have been watching the prices climbing on Legendary precursors and share your concerns about some of them becoming too expensive. We will continue to monitor the situation and will make any adjustments we feel are necessary.

If you’re stalled at the front gate, look around. There’s almost certainly a zombie hiding out somewhere. Once it dies, the next wave will spawn.
I understand the question and I’m looking into this. We do have a formal Naming Policy, but I’m not sure that suspension (not a ban — bans are forever!) and name censor may have been a bit beyond what most agents would do. I’ll look into this.

Because hackers proxy into all sort of “legitimate” countries, I don’t think this is a good or viable idea at all.

This name makes players uncomfortable because they do not have the context that you suggest. The name will remain blocked.
As of about 4:00 AM Monday morning (10/08), the issue with players being unable to delete character has been fixed. If you have continued problems, please feel free to start a new thread (and keep all similar posts in the same thread, please) but we believe that this has been fully addressed and all will be well now.

As already explained by Mike, we are very commited to fighting botters. However, we are not going keep you updated about this situation every hour, or answer personally to each questions you are asking.
Moreover, we have seen reports of bots with screenshots attached that were showing personal information. Again, this should not be posted on the forums as explained by our code of conduct.
