Hello, folks,
I just wanted to let you all know that we have been looking into this.
Unfortunately, we’ve had no luck reproducing the issues on our own systems and are unsure of what the cause might be. Personally, the only way that I have been able to “break” the audio (albeit temporarily) is to unplug USB headphones while the game is running. Whether using these headphones or the internal speakers, however, changing the OS X output device (System Preferences > Sound pane > Output tab) and restarting the game always makes the sound perform as expected.
We will continue investigating, but we ask that anyone experiencing this lack of game audio please post their system specifications as requested in this sticky.
Edit: Thanks to everyone who has posted their systems specs. Please be sure to also submit a customer support ticket.

ArenaNet”Sorry this quote isn’t neat and tidy… there’s not an obvious way to quote for me. Gaile, this is excellent news, but I just want to point out this is the first INKLING that there has been any movement on the bot issue in almost 2 weeks. I know this may seem morbid and maybe a little demented, but maybe someone could put up a “Bots Killed” counter on the main page, just so that it doesn’t feel like all us players are doing is just yelling into a brick wall when we report these bots?

The ability to hide shoulders is a universal feature and it cannot be disabled for just one piece of a set.
But by that same token, isn’t the ability to SHOW shoulders also a universal feature? Does it make sense to disable this for one item in the game?
I understand your concern here, but unfortunately, the way the coat for males of this set is designed does not allow for the textures of shoulders to appear. =/
It was an executive design decision to make some sets like this in an effort to make distinguishing features between the male and female versions of the set.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The ability to hide shoulders is a universal feature and it cannot be disabled for just one piece of a set. In the case of the Citadel of Flames armors, the shoulders are hidden if they are equipped with the CoF coat. If you use those shoulders with a different coat, though, the shoulders will appear.

The Citadel of Flames coat actually hides all other shoulderpads because the design of the coat comes with its own shoulders (the right shoulder, specifically). If you look in your hero panel and hover over the shoulders while your CoF coat is equipped it should say at the bottom of the hover panel, “this item is currently obscured by another.” (See screenshot)
If you equip the CoF shoulders with a different coat, they should appear, but when coupled with the coat from the same set, they will not.

Thank you for the update on this,so I wanna confirm this. we will never see the shoulders with this Coat never? cuz really look good.. instead of that half shoulder thing… and if i wanna other shoulders,they wont be seenble? cause I think people buying CoF shoulders because of how awsome they look.. its really sad we cant really see them

How did you do the quest twice? Did your friend NOT accept progress the first time?
I’m not sure off the top of my head of how using command line arguments would interfere with the use of the mobile authenticator; but that’s likely just because I can’t remember all of the command line options offhand ;-) If you find a combo that doesn’t work, please feel free to report it in the official feedback thread
For those who don’t have access to a smartphone, there are hardware devices you can purchase which support the same standard that we use. Just check for “OATH” or “TOTP” devices which comply with RFC 6238. Naturally, we cannot recommend or endorse any specific products.

Thanks for the feedback! Clones not having the explorer stars is definitely a bug, and we’ve noted it in our database. As the rest of these ideas are more along of suggestions and feedback, however, I’ll be moving it to the Mesmer profession forum. 
Any system that supports RFC 6238 should work with our authenticator implementation.
Took a couple of days to get debugging in on this. It is in fact a 40ms difference which equates to about 7% less damage when spamming 1. We made this change because it was creating some animation bugs to leave it where it was. It was also encouraging just spamming 1 which isn’t the most fun gameplay. If our data shows shortly that shortbow is now not effective we can certainly address that, but would do so by improving other skills on that weapon rather than by reintroducing the spam on 1 and the bugs that it was creating.

We wanted this set to be unique for male players as the flame sash across the front of the coat with the spike on the shoulder does not exist on the female set. If you really love the shoulders, you can always transmute them onto a different set with a different coat. The shoulders still contribute the stats to your set either way. We have a few other sets that behave in a similar fashion.

As part of our ongoing commitment to security in Guild Wars 2, I am pleased to announce that we are making a mobile two-factor authentication solution available for beta testing, effective immediately.
Mobile two-factor authentication is an alternative means of securing your Guild Wars 2 account, and like e-mail authentication, is optional but strongly encouraged. Rather than sending you an e-mail when unauthorized login attempts occur, the game (or any of our online web sites) will prompt you for a six-digit number any time you log in to a Mobile Authenticator-protected account. Using a freely available app on three major smartphone platforms – iOS, Android, and Windows Phone – you can obtain the correct six-digit number unique to your account. These numbers change every 30 seconds and can only be used once; this ensures that without your mobile device, an attacker would not be able to compromise your Guild Wars 2 account.
Please be advised that this feature is currently in beta and we are actively working to get it up to our standards of quality. Use of this feature should be considered “at your own risk” until we have completed the beta phase. We have already identified two major improvements to the feature that we will complete before releasing this system for general use:

Hey everyone.
We are looking into an additional reward system to add to bosses so that killing a single boss feels a lot more rewarding than it does right now. We are gathering data internally on it and will release information on it as it gets closer to being implemented.
Being stuck at the last boss and unable to finish the dungeon thus receiving now reward is a terrible feeling for any player, hardcore or casual. We are looking to remedy this.

PlaySpan has sold Guild Wars games in their online store.
As with any security issue, if players use the same credentials across multiple services and accounts, then that presents a risk to their account and we encourage them to change their password.
Unfortunately, due to the laws governing contests in each of the hundreds of different countries around the world, we have to restrict the eligibility to regions where we have publishing and legal support, and currently this is in North America and Europe.
Additionally, certain provinces such as Quebec, have laws which restrict contests, and due to those restrictions, residents there are not eligible to participate, unfortunately.
This is a known issue that appeared in the 10/7 update. We’re working on it.
As noted earlier, if you have a character who was jumped forward in their story (a while ago), you were reset back to the L26 step where you choose an order, so you won’t miss any content.

At the present time it’s not possible to restore these losses. I think your suggestion would make a good addition to the Suggestions Forum, though, and you should consider adding it there!

We do not share account credentials with PlaySpan or any other company.

We’ve talked about saving progress in dungeons, and it’s currently on a list of things for our tech-priests to look into. There’s no code to support it right now, but it is something we’re exploring the possibilities of.
I say /should/ in my post because they are assumptions. Our current plan is to roll out new loot stuff for dungeons next path, and I assume it will get done since I’m pretty vocal about it, and I know the people working on it, and trust them to have it done and tested in time.
And I assume players will like better loot drops with token potential on bosses. We’ll evaluate the system with some play tests and see how we feel,and of course your feedback here on the forums will help us in fixing/adjusting things as well.
