For the 9/27 update, I reduced the number of banits in each wave, so you aren’t expected to fight 3 at once.

I’m also looking into Logan’s behavior, he’s attacking…very…slowly…if at all, and I can’t see why.

I hate to be a broken record, but the only way we can fix these is if you report them. Quest name, current objective, character class/level, description of the issue with as much detail as you can provide.

I am glad I found a thread like this.

There is major visual issue involving hair clipping with the Sylvari.

In this case I will show the issue as related to Bows with a longer female Sylvari hair style. As you can see almost any short bow clips through the hair, and in some cases (Such as the Living Short Bow) It even sticks out of the top of the head.

Looking at other Sylvari NPCs it is evident that it happens with many other hairstyles and weapons as well.

Also noted is that when running the weapon seems abnormally big, and displaced to the side. You can see this in the upper left corner of the example.

I can provide more examples if needed, but it really happens with almost all models.

In general I have found that most weapons (especially shields) seem Way to big (look at a human female with the starting shield), and because of this easily clip through many different parts of the character model and / or armor models. While also creating a weird disproportional look.

I hope these issues are resolved soon, as I can not even think about playing my Sylvari ranger knowing that this issue could remain, and always be forced into the one or two bow models that do not show this issue in the extremes I have seen so far.

Edit: In this particular case, the armor is the medium heritage gear. However, that was not the main point in this post, so I had forgot to mention it.

Hey there, this type of clipping is unavoidable with the way our armors/weapons/hairs are designed. The type of clipping we can address with weapons is if they are severely clipping into the body while stowed and not readied (daggers hiding under coats, shields clipping into spine, etc…). I hope this doesn’t break your experience too much!

on Norn females the medium Whispers Coat and Heritage Boots detach the head from the neck behind the ear while standing still but while fighting or dancing its nearly a floating head! i verified by removing ALL equipment, even jewelry and weapons and narrowed it down to those two. I has a friends try them on at least other norns, male is unaffected but this was duplicated on the other female.

I got stuck inside a keep gate today in WvW. How to reproduce:

Get knocked out where a gate normally is, after said gate has been broken.
When the gate is rebuilt, and another players revives the knocked out player, the revived player will be inside the gate and not able to get out.

I have a similar bug with character portraits at selection screen that are rendered wrongly.
In my case some of the textures are not being displayed at all.
Sometimes on random 2 or 3 portraits only eyes and torso are being displayed – no face, – no hair.

I do not have any other graphical issue with the game.
This issue with the portraits started after I bough additional character slots.

Edit: I do not have any better image to show this but will update when this happen again.

Maybe random maybe (bad)luck but I have the feeling that after todays update this issue is more noticeable.

That little character selection hair issue is known and we are addressing it.

Is there a specific quest where the NPCs are getting overwhelmed? Changing NPC behavior is something that we do on a case-by-case basis, so if you can provide specific examples, we can better evaluate what we can do to improve their behavior. Thanks!

Yes, this is exactly one of the bugs we’re looking for. For this we’d need the armor names as well as the weapon names.

Now I’m a little confused, because pretty much every warhorn clips with human light armor coats and I’m sure you know it.
As example again like above Human, Male, Necromancer with Light Mortal Leggings of Grenth from left to right “Pearl Siren” HoM-Reward “Mountaincall-Warhorn” and best example I came across so far “Orrion Warhorn”. So I don’t see how you want to fix this, but since you are asking for ;-)

Oh dear, I’m sorry. I should have better clarified. When it comes to weapons clipping through coats or other pieces of armor, it’s actually the armor itself that’s causing the issue. I suppose having you list the weapons was for naught. Basically all I need is which specific armor is having the issue. I’ve taken note of the armor you’ve listed and the issue will be addressed.

Reporting gold sellers to the forums is not the correct procedure. Please report them to Customer Support. Our team is aware of the issue, and is working in the issue.

If I understand the situation correctly, this should not be happening. Every world has the same population cap and outmanned only activates when your team has significantly less people on the map as another team, so you shouldn’t be getting the buff if your map is full.

What world and map are you on when this happens?

To report any bugs, please indicate the quest name, current objective, and character class/level. We can’t fix them if we don’t know what they are.

Its a video game geared to serve as many people as possible. What seems neutral and unimaginative to you may seem heroic to some other percentage of the other estimated 1,999,999 people that purchased the game.

But we all have to make the best of the personal storyline. Because there is no way for Anet to customize the dialogue to fit “everyones” expectations.

It’s true we built a game that we hope appeals to a wide audience, but it does help to understand the tastes of our more vocal players. There’s always room for improvement with what we do, so we’ll be taking this and other feedback into consideration as we continue to evolve GW2 over the years.

The changes I made to Mazdak’s health will apply to all story steps that he appears in, but I didn’t make any adjustments to the NPCs in this particular step.

As for defiant, note that Trahearne is NOT powering him up at all. All “champion” level creatures are defiant, which is a shield against crowd control effects. The number indicated how many effects the creature will ignore, then it becomes vulnerable to CC for a short time.

Ok, good news and bad news.

Good news: I discovered that Tonn had no underwater weapons, so he wasn’t able to help at all. I also reduced the difficulty of the shark, and no longer have it make a beeline for the player.

Bad news: To account for scaling in multiplayer, I increased the number of sharks. (From 1 to 2-6 depending on the player count.) Now that Tonn is armed, though, and the sharks won’t attack the player immediately, I found it to be challenging but doable.

Slated for the 9/24 update.

This is a neat idea, and one that we briefly talked about when the game was in early development. It reminds me of the chatter presets from Day of Defeat and/or Counter-strike. I’ll bring it up in a meeting. No guarantees, though.

It wouldn’t surprise me if your new “friends” were used for laundering your money and items. If you still have the contact names, can you PM me the display names of the accounts that you don’t recognize? I’ll investigate along with Customer Support to see if we can identify a pattern. It would be very useful for us to see if the hackers are using common mule accounts to gather money from hacked players.

We can also correlate the names you provide with our own watch-lists to see if they are known RMT agents.

You shouldn’t be able to place buy orders below vendor price, that is the bug. We’re aware of it and will have a fix soon.

Jon checks the profession forums pretty religiously for feedback on things like this and he’s making sure we address trait issues. You can make it much easier for him to find your feedback by posting it on those forums.

“Dead of Winter” will be adjusted in the 9/17 update, and I’ll be taking a look at “The Battle of Fort Trinity” later today (for the 9/24 update.) Again, thanks for the specific info.

If you come across any sort of bug that fits in the following categories, please post them in this thread:

-Stuck in the terrain or a prop
-Textural/graphical issues with the environment or world props
-Terrain or world props disappearing/flickering
-Armor/clothing art issues (textures, placement, clipping…)
-Weapon art issues (textures, placement, effects, clipping…)
-Anything that you feel fits into the art-side of bugs

The more descriptive you can be of the issue, the better! So here’s what you can do to help us out:

If you come across an issue with the map/terrain, please be sure to:
-Take a screenshot with your mouse hovering over the minimap while it’s zoomed all the way in so we can see the sector name. Make sure your screenshot has a clear view of the issue too!
-If you got stuck, please describe to us what you were doing before hand, along with a screenshot (this includes listing any skill you may have used upon being pushed inside the terrain).
-If you can, open up the screenshot in a picture editor (like MS Paint) and circle or point to the issue.
-If the world or large areas of land appear to “pop” in and out or “flicker,” please be sure that you are facing the appropriate direction in your screenshot and follow the screenshot directions.

If you come across an issue with your armor/clothing or weapons:
-Take a screenshot of the issue
-Take a screenshot of your equipment on the Hero Panel (H)
-List your Race, Sex and Class
-List the names of every piece of armor/clothing/weapon equipped (this includes the level requirement) when you encountered the issue
-If you can, list where you acquired the item (which NPC, what map location, which dungeon, etc…)

Any other art issues:
-Be as descriptive as possible
-Take a screenshot
-List any applicable item names
-List your Race, Sex and Class (for armor or weapon issues)
-Please note: Hair clipping through armor/weapons along with minor clipping of weapons into armor (some of the weapon is hidden) are sometimes unavoidable and we are only looking for severe clipping issues [please see the note at the end].

Please attach the screenshots to your forum post rather than hosting it elsewhere.
If you have a video of the issue, please upload those to YouTube (unlisted) and link that along with your other bug information here.

NOTE: While we understand the desire to have all clipping issues resolved, the way our items are designed sometimes causes some small issues that cannot be fixed easily. We’re looking for severe clipping (like your shield is impaling you or your daggers are completely hidden by your coat.) Things like hair clipping or minor clipping of weapons into armor are sometimes unavoidable (don’t worry, we’re looking into the beard and mask clipping issue!). We appreciate your patience and cooperation with all of these bugs and rest assured that they are being seen and addressed appropriately.

This thread has very definitely run its course, given the amount of arguing, people stating opinions as facts, personal attacks, etc. Thank you to those people who managed to discuss this topic in a way that is respectful of their fellow community members.

The trading post does not work in a LIFO structure. There is a bug that sometimes makes it act similarly to LIFO as a side effect (but not exactly). We know about the bug and it will be fixed very soon.
