The measures taken against third-party programs are actually quite conservative. Please feel free to discuss with the support team, but do be aware that the ticket is just one day old and it may take a few days to respond.
Well I’m happy to see that my BF was able to get back his account this quickly, but of course all gold and unbound items are gone, as well as all the gems he bought (all with money…)
NOW I’m concerned because we had all of my friends/guildmembers report his character/account for scamming while it was hacked as a desperate measure to protect the rest of the guild’s assets… I hope that it doesn’t get processed later and he loses access to the account again. lol.

What you are suggesting is not secure at all. If someone’s email account is compromised, the last thing we should do is send the credentials to that old, compromised account!
The scenarios you post are completely outside the norm, and the timeframes you’re citing are not at all typical.
In addition, you’re posting a ticket that is a few hours old and demanding assistance. The team must be allowed the time required to review, investigate, and resolve such issues. Account compromises are complex issues that take time to work through. Keep in mind, the hacking incidents are not our fault. They are caused because people are using common credentials across various places — games, forums, email acccount, etc. — and professional companies who make millions out of stealing accounts use those harvested databases of credentials to try to steal GW2 accounts.
Please allow time for this to be resolved.

Will follow up on both of these, but you seem to have done the right thing in responding to state that you still need help. The team should then note these tickets are still active and get back to you as soon as possible.
I’m not wholly sure where else to put this, but I have an question on what is not allowed for character naming. I am one of the people who had reserved names through my Hall of Monuments, and funnily enough.. I was able to reserve Kalla Scorchrazor, Bathea Havocbringer, Violo Raptorgaze, and Ofela Soulcleave in GW. I reserved Kalla’s name in the month PC Gamer released the sneakpeak of GW2 and the charr.
I actually am using Bathea’s name and have Ofela and Violo made. Kalla I was not able to make. Is it possible that it was restricted because it’s a bad word in another language, or was it restricted to prevent a player using a lore character? I wonder about this, because I was looking forward to using her name.

It’s true that we are trying to restrict the use of “lore” names in GW2. And while some can be made, I suspect that is why you’re able to use all names except the one with story ties to Guild Wars.

You have submitted a ticket, which is the correct thing to do. As you can see, there is a lot of spamming, and imitating spamming is a poor choice. I imagine you won’t do that again, and I’m sure the team will have you back in the game soon.

As stated in the thread, we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue, which is making it very hard for us to track down. We’ve made some changes to reduce the odds of it happening, but obviously it’s still occuring so we’ll keep working on it.

Have you opened a Customer Support ticket? There are a few different possible causes for this issue. Opening a ticket will allow us to work with you more directly to fix the problem.
In the meantime, this may or may not fix the problem for you:
Note, by following these instructions you will lose at least your graphics settings and have to set them up again:
1) Close the game client
2) Delete the local.dat file located in Documents\Guild Wars 2\local.dat
3) Open the game client

I can’t use everything on the trading post.
When i try to buy something,it just shows
“your order did not match any current list.”Besides,i am unable to get back the items that i removed.

First of all, I’m sorry you’re having this issue. If you submitted a customer support ticket, we will definitely rectify the problem. Right now, it may take longer than 24 hours to get a Customer Support response, but rest assured that we will make sure that you get your gems.
I can assure you that we are looking into every report submitted. We respond to these as fast as possible but, due to high volumes of tickets, it may take a few days to get to your ticket. Also, it helps to know the item that you sold, and the approximate time of sale, as that lets us more quickly narrow down that transaction.
Sorry that you got scammed, Keks. We look at every report and try to get a better picture of the situation. Chances are that this player has scammed others, as well. If that is the case, and we can see a clear history of scamming, then we will take appropriate action. This can range from a ban lasting a few days, to a permanent ban.
If an offer seems too good to be true, it generally is.
As someone who worked extremely hard on one of the Orrian maps, I can tell you that DusK has the most accurate comment.
From a lore perspective, the risen continent was once a living nation full of all sorts sorts of people and creatures. Now corrupted by the undead dragon, most of them walk the land as monsters. But you’ll still see a lot of the sentient inhabitants mindlessly continuing on the tasks they performed in their old lives. Some of them farm and mine, others lie around and weep in agony.
The coral soldiers, on the other hand, are more direct servants of the elder dragon. They take a more active role in defending the continent, so you should see them patrolling, standing guard, attacking players, etc.

Mr. Peters, please read my post on why Death Shroud is very limiting at the moment and puts Necromancers in a vulnerable position to anyone familiar with the Necromancer class.
Yeah agreed we want to fix this.
Let me try and clarify myself a bit more. Death Shroud is very powerful because it gives Necromancer access to a secondary health bar which is is much more reliably renewable than normal health is for other professions. On top of that it essentially also gives them a 3rd weapon set that they can use to circumvent the basic weapon swap cooldown to reliably bounce between powerful skills in 3 different sets. For both of these reasons, Necromancer has a high power ceiling but also an extremely high learning curve.
In the current condition heavy meta-game, there is a lot of condition removal. The problem this is causing for Necromancers is that they do not have a lot of build diversity in this meta, because they don’t have any great power builds they can turn to. What I would like to try and do is increase build diversity without increasing effectiveness because I don’t believe we have really seen what strong Necromancers can do yet.
Hopefully that explains a bit where we stand. We are still working towards getting rid of all of the bugs in everyone’s skills and traits at which point we can get a much better idea of where everyone stands. That time will also give us the chance to see where the large amount of current players actually takes the meta game.

Keep in mind that some professions are harder to master than others. I believe Necro is the hardest, opinions may vary, but just keep this in mind. No we arent ignoring Necro, but once people start mastering DS, I’m afraid of how strong Necro will be. Give it some time for the average player to learn these things. For example early on in LOL master yi was dominant until people learned how to counter him.
