Also, no one in this forum is excited about deadeye, more like disappointed and disenchanted.

Im excited about the Deadeye, so does many Deadeye user on test server right now. Yes some of the skill need to get tinkered, but deadeye on overall is a good elite spec for consistent damage burst..

and its not overcoming daredevil so its balanced u wanna bang from a range like a longbow ranger go do it but dont start whining for mobility or anything that a core thief/daredevil has and this rifle wannabe doesnt even get close to it.

Please do read the title, i mainly talk about the mark & malice. 10 second (on real situation it’s way more longer) for full malice is just too frigin long and hardly rewarding.

First thing first, Im definitely in love with the Deadeye Spec & Rifle loadout. It may not that good on 1v1 situation PvP, but it really shine as ambush tool. Although it’s kinda sad that triple tap is the only viable skill right now since everything else is just too slow and unreliable on most situation.

On the other hand, Mark & Malice buff are rather underwhelmed. First thing first, Deadeye’s Mark cast time easily screw up thief rotation. Making this skill instant cast just like most ppl said in this forum should fix this issues. Disable the malice indicator on your opponent side also will make this skill even better as ambushing tool on PvP. Also adding 300 more range to mark would be awesome

Malice buff on the other hand is too kitten slow. You need 10 second to get full mark (10.5 with Maleficent seven, also assuming that you hit the target constantly), and most likely you already burned all of your initiative & cd skill before your malice get fully charged.

My idea for Malice is to greatly reduce how long does it take to get full malice stack…and im thinking about 5 second to get full stack while removing the interval. The idea is to give reward not just to aggressive, but also a player that take their time and strike at the right time. As for damage & perfectionist buff, i think reducing the damage buff & boon type should be fine compensation for faster Malice stack.

Also, give kneel increased range to all rifle against target with malice buff plz

The current price for the expansion is just pure BS to me…i mean $50?? srsly??

They need to think how many new user they will get (which i bet not that many, since most of them already own vanila GW2), but also how many dormant account user that are willing to spend money for HoT, and how many of them are willing to buy the expansion for more than 1 (multiple account user, and yes there are many of them out there).

Still waiting for @net to drop the expansion price to $30.

Don’t hit the preorder button, just wait until they released the HoT release date. Obv @net also know that the current expansion price will hurt people who live outside USA (development country, SEA region, even Middle East and Africa) that already bought the vanilla client, which result in many of them refuse to buy the expansion client = less income for @net.

Just expect to get kicked out of a lot of dungeon groups if you pug.

Nah…only Elitist kick people without specific build and trait, and there aren’t many of them lately.

Easy way to spot elitist:
-Complain 24/7 if someone not using “DPS” weapon
-Bragging about everyone DPS every second
-They play like a bot and rage if someone doesn’t follow their step
-Most likely they rage quit after 1-2 times wipe

“If you can’t master one weapon, try using the other one” This is Guild Wars 2, your are not bound to 1 build and 1 weapon type. Pick the one that you like the most and master it’s movement set and trick, most likely you will do fine in every content with it.

Im using 0 6 4 4 for PVE (It is hard for you to get downed with healing signet) and 0 4 4 6 for PvP (Your inniative regenerate at incredibly fast rate).

The word “constant” is the main trait on P/P build with initiative build. You will not do incredibly large damage with this weapon, but you are able to keep hitting your target while dodging their attack.

Also, just slap rune of air and flame for extra damage.

Since i don’t think Anet has any plan to make weapon skill switchable like utility slot. I have a crazy idea to rework Rifle skillset in order to fulfill the true role of this weapon as a primary, a single target burst with a dependent on critical damage instead of pure base damage.

*1 Marksman Shot
-Replace Bleeding Shot
-Remove the bleeding debuff
-Same base damage but higher critical damage bonus (totally relied on critical damage)

*2 Rifle Butt
-Replace Aimed shot

*3 Volley
-Same mechanic

*4 Brutal shot (10 second cooldown)
-Cripple opponent instead of stacking vulnerable
-Add Torment Debuff
-Also able to interrupt channeling skill
-High critical damage bonus
-Remove the cast time (become instant skill)

*5 Double Chamber (2 second cooldown)
-Consume 1 adrenaline bar each cast
-0,5 sec cast time
-Able to cast either Volley or Brutal shot, Ignoring their actual cooldown time
-Skill goes on cooldown after casting either Extra volley, or Brutal shot

*F1 Marksman Stance
-15 second duration
-Increase Skill Range up to 100/ 200/ 300 depend on adrenaline bar

As a rifle burst warrior, this patch give a mixed feeling. No major change with major trait shuffling (Burst still does the exact same damage), non burst are heavily nerved, adrenaline gain trait still suck kitten balls, while the “none to zero survival skill on spvp / wvw” legendary trait still exist (this one apply to all build type, you still gonna die horribly no matter how tough you are).

Anet currently force every warrior player to change into mes/ ele/ thief.

If anet create another decent proper rifle wearing class (not walking scientist), i’ll gladly move on..Sadly there are none.

Need major change on Defense minor trait (instead of turning someone into a res bot after taking this tree), and Discipline minor trait (5 sec weapon swap is nice, other just pure crap). Oh yea, Change that 3% Adrenaline damage on disciple tree since it’s barely worth anything right now.

Agree with multiple adrenaline skill, this would be an awesome addition for war who know what, and when to react.

Btw, my turn

F1: still the same, consume on how much adrenaline you have
F2: Utility skill (Weapon Specific, main-offhand user will use their off hand utility skill). Consume 1 bar only.
F3: Sub weapon skill. Consume 2 amount of adrenaline. This is a self buff skill which relly on your main hand reserve weapon type. There are only 3 type of this skill which is offensive (gain damage buff), defensive (gain defensive buff), and support (heal and remove condition).
F4: Concentration: Unable to move, while adding 1 adrenaline bar every 1 second or 3 second when in combat.

This built Hit like a truck, and the only thing you need is elite signet skill, and precision signet for fast adrenaline recharging.

Dear Defektive: A while back my GW2 Warrior and I broke up. I thought in the beginning that my ex truly was what I wanted, but after the initial excitement of the new relationship (I had dated previous Warriors before in other worlds and been fairly happy before I had to move away) I realized that my ex was very needy and fairly apathetic. Sure my ex was good for a quickie, busting a load in a moment of frenzy, but there was no sustain or stamina. My ex was constantly getting sick and needing outside intervention to remain healthy. As I looked around at the other choices out there I realized that my ex performed every role in a fairly substandard fashion. Sure my ex would go through the motions, but the results were average at best aside from the aforementioned minute-man style quickies.

I moved on and found others that filled my needs better. Maybe not all of them at the same time, but a fair number of them performed to excellence. Still, I do miss my ex and wish it could have worked out between us.

Do you have any advice? Is there any hope for my ex? How can I stop feeling unsatisfied with my ex’s mediocrity compared to others and is there a chance that my ex will improve?

I finally found the solution for P2 and P3 (last boss fight).

P2: Remove the 1st skill (the lifting one) cooldown. Make some ectoplasm keep spawning near ghost eater instead of having casted by him/her/it/whatever.
P3: Make Gras Prioritize shield over hammer if Colosus starting to cast AOE. Also make Gras Almost invulnerable to other source of damage and enter downed state instead of dead every 2nd time he cast shield, give more challenge for group to maintain damage, while resurrecting him.

Now THAT is the description of Challenge, instead of pure frustrating

P2, and P3 right now is just pure frustrating. I think it’s doable by pro guildies & player, but im more worried about new player. P2 can be really frustrating when someone doesn’t know how does it work (pulling golem on COE is much more easier), while p3 is pure annoying since pilar is much more reliable than gras.
tldr, current AC is designed for lv 80s, now i wonder why it’s set as lv 35? does Anet guys enjoy watching newcomer getting infinite wipe on dungeon they tough doable on their lv?

Im not going to scare y, but if all dungeon are going to be this annoying & buggy like gras. It will scare casual newcomer, and force other to rely on other income source, such as bots, and gold market.

Trying different party combination on your so called “rofl-farming of instances” and the choice is either to endure much longer, or hit much harder. Zerker type serve better on second option.

I am a zerker warrior with full zerker trait and i never encounter any huge problem on any dungeon (AC,CM,TA,COF,COE,Arah). Im using Rifle/GS with axe&shield, the secret of doing dungeon is to position yourself not to get hit often since your not as strong as guardian.

Do your job properly and you will deal the most damage comparing to other class with permafury stack(still get outdamaged when hitting graveling mound though).

Mace and sword riposte stance should grant much more andrenaline (like 1 bar…hell 2 bar if it can), this will give them edge over other weapon as secondary, charging your main weapon finishing skill.

Nope, GW2 is one of “spend less, but get many” type. Turning it into P2P will force this game to compete with FFXIV Real Reborn (which suprisingly has the same graphic as Gw2, maybe bit smoother but quite same on overal), and it’s not healthy to compete with already known worldwide brand. Paying monthly will force me to stick a glue on my chair though and it ain’t fun at all (just like my experience with swotr). Current stat are far much better.

I am avid pvpers, i do kill a lot of ppl in many open game MMORPG. After playing GW2 for a long time, i think i have an answer for this question

Hell no, you simply can’t, there’s no way Open PvP can be applied on Current pve map. The map already designed to be one sided, adding open pvp feature will screw the whole structure. Plus there is no “Alliance/Horde, Rep/Empire” faction in here so….na’ah.

Is there any solution to apply open PvP on GW2
In matter of fact there is, i spend a looong time meditating on WvWvW and i found the system are quite solid, need a lot of teamwork, enemy name are hidden to prevent personal issues. I think they able to put these concept on the new map and make it pve oriented .

Insert the same system as wvwvw, make it less competitive (no base rapping), make it pve oriented (like killing the giant dude, scavenging event, etc). There you go, a brand new open pve map.

@Nels: Theorically both weapon are designed to be different so every weapon has their own comfort zone, but it’s a fact that some class weapon outshadowed other.

Let’s take a look at thief shortbow, 1st skill only work well when there are 2 target around, 2nd has slugish travel time, most ppl use this weapon as an escaping tool A.K.A 5th skill after spamming heartseeker/pistol whip. And pistol, how many thief do you know is using pistols as main outside of spvp/tpvp? well this build is not as rare as mace warrior on pve & wvw, but….you get the picture.

@DreamOfACure: Yeap sigil is the main reason i got superior bloodlust on both my axe n shield but swapping weapon has a long cooldown, so swapping weapon for certain class sometimes doesn’t seems to be worth it. Aside from that it’s not good enough compare to what two hand weapon has.

On guild wars 2, equiping atking weapon on both hand doesn’t mean you can attack with both weapon everytime. Yes it’s for the sake of balance, but this system also has many problem (including wonky gimmick).

Let’s take an example, thief shortbow has more edge than dual pistol since they use shortbow as escaping tool while poke everything with their melee weapon. Other class also has this “choosing two handed over dual weapon” issue is simply because their two handed has much more edge & cheaper over two single weapon, especially certain type of weapon (like Warrior Mace, and sword).

My suggestion is to add both main and offhand atk on 1st skill (which is basic skill) with certain percentage at combo finisher. A warrior who equip axe and mace will have his/her 1st skill combination look like this

Main->offhand->Main/offhand as finisher->Main/offhand as starter depend on last weapon skill used

Some class specific weapon type in this case will generate special move based on percentage with low cd. Example : Dual pistol engineer aside from firing weapon from main and offhand, will have certain percentage to use both weapon at the same time to create short burst which deal damage and give random effect, which is burning and poison. This special move has 1,5 cooldown to avoid effect spammer (Cooldown removed when gaining quickness buff).

Other pure offhand weapon such as shield, and warhorn will give buff on finisher move, which also has cooldown. This feature will give more reason for us player to use dual weapon as a main weapon, without a feeling of being gimped since your two handed has the same effect as your main hand, and it’s better.

Not just utility skill, bring more colour for both weapon, and minor trait.

  • differ 1st skill as basic skill, 5th skill as special attack. 2-4 slot as weapon skill, basically it has the same mechanic as utility skill

Minor skill
*less choice than major skill but there are several which able to stack one with another (like warrior trait and discipline trait, which give them 3 different effect for one action if you get all minor trait).

vengeance is quite a bit more powerful then the thieves teleport or the ele’s mist form.

honestly i look at people trying to change the warrior class with quite a bit of disdain. there are far far FAR more pressing problems on a lot of the other classes then to worry about your pet peeves.

instead of trying to press your own little ideas of what would make X better. how about you press instead for some bug fixes.

or at the very least present your suggestions to the suggestion forum.

Honestly, thief and ele have better “dying skill” than warrior, since thieve 1st skil does surprisingly good damage & bounce, Cheap “finish him” avoidance skill, and stealth. Ele 2nd skill work wonder on several situation thx to invulnerability.

Warrior obv need overal buff for dying skill. throwing rock suck balls on both effect & damage, stun is just pure meh, vengeance should be buffed to give full ress when killing player, bronze/silver/gold mob. Wasting 20 trait point for something that only has 40% success rate Is just pure BS.

The reason why Condition War isn’t viable as other class such as necro is because of only 1 Dot Source which is bleed, while necro has several which help them for both dps and quite hard to cleanse. Right now condition war isn’t that good for both pvp, and Gpve (your bleed stack with other….sigh), try maining axe instead.

-Killshot: Rename it into “marksman Stance”, using this will make you immobile and changing skill 1 to “Killshot” which do the exact same thing. This change will enable us rifle user to choose our target, take time to in order to minimize “out of range” or “dodge” percentage.

Rifle/ Axe+Shield with Signet of Furry, Frenzy, Endure pain, Signet of Rage works for me. Tough you can swap Frenzy with Balanced state for safety purpose. Bola also work wonder if they already fixed it.

@phaeris: Obv those move are doable in real live, not just in lol. Kill shot stance for example is da best stance when your going to shoot someone in their vital spot.

Whirling blade movement is THE signature movement when your wielding big weapon against numerous enemies. Dynasty warrior, even Dota Orc blademaster use this move since it look soooo effective again huge army (even though its not, except the orc guy that use clone and spam those sword ballet to your armies).

Other move like Hammer AD strike and axe spinning is also a mainstream move.

Add more "Spare" weapon Skill

The idea is to add more weapon skill so it can be switched like the utility skill. The skill itself consist of several part which is.
-Primary skill (A.K.A Auto attack)
-Secondary skill
-Off hand skill

The skillset itself can be alternate route for the weapon itself, so it doesn’t punish someone who use spesific weapon on different build.

Example: Changing Warrior’s mace auto atk so it does more dmg instead of cripling, while change sword offhand skill “impale” to other skill that do direct damage. This also able to make you able to chose your own playing style.

Im sure OP is THE so called “legit player who done his routine with excellent result, have a enjoyable lifetime, awesome career, a loyal dog, and successfully riding the legendary rainbow unicorn.” from the way he posted.

In fact, this so called “simple” suggestion is not that easy as you think. Even for a people who sometime need go to “THAT way” to get what i want, i already found a way out from the “so called” almighty region IP ban and just like what Binaryravenx said that it will hurt the “legit” player more than those suspect you mentioned.

@OP: honestly you need to do more research for those “anti bot” in order to get proper solution instead of pointing the “easy way” like this ( i actually like the robot that combat bot idea, still raw but it’s actually a nice idea). Since this is not, i repeat it again NOT a simple matter to dealt with.
