I would hope that if Anet added such an amazing (and often requested) QoL upgrade, that it would be freely available to everyone, not gated behind an extremely rare, randomly obtained item from a BLC.

I can’t honestly see why it would be valid. I can’t sheath my dagger and draw my pistols while mounted? Pull out a scepter? Draw a sword?

Why should it require dismounting?

Sorry, shoulda been more specific. Multiple accounts. The idea being that anything truly good could be passed along to the main account, whether that be a skin from a ticket or a permanent merchant.

Just use the holographic glider. Depending on how you dye it, it’s almost not there.

I do the key farm x5 almost every week and slowly build up scraps and tickets. Right now I’m sitting on 7 (I think?) full tickets, waiting for something new and of interest to be available. I hate the idea of spending 5 tickets on a skin I like, since that was many weeks of key runs.

Anyway, you can earn keys without spending any real money or trading gold for gems.

@WARIOR: Who said anything about solo? I assume he’s referring to team play, either Fractals or Raids.

You can get “eaters” for the dust, empyreal, etc. They typically consume 50 of the item at a time and give a random gift, which can generate some coin. Go to the wiki and look up the material in question to find what/how.

That would be useful. Increasing visibility means that Norn would be less likely to squish them.

Funny story: I had the WvW spoon drop for my alt accounts, with them barely spending any time there, long before it dropped for my main account. Of course, I could care less about them for the alt accounts.

It dropped eventually, so don’t give up.

@OP: By “build usage” do you mean Meta Builds, which would mean PvP/WvW/Raids? Cuz nothing’s preventing one from using a hammer other than people’s view of what is best for those areas.

+1 for more bank space. Always helpful for organizing.

@OP: If you haven’t already, register on gw2efficiency.com. There is a Daily category there that lists all the things that get rewarded or are otherwise limited to 1/day.

There are also achievements, which others have mentioned, that may be of interest to you. You can look up achievements in your hero panel, on the wiki, or on gw2efficiency.

You might find inspiration somewhere in those things. Sometimes it’s the journey, sometimes the reward, and sometimes both.

Plus, all those buttflaps would entangle everyone’s legs, immobilizing and drowning them.

Please no. I hope they drain the ocean, like they did Lake Doric, if we have to face the underwater dragon.

Really, I just like them to vary up the look within a zone. Dry Top and Silverwastes are too much of the same throughout. And vary up the critters encountered. Sure, have a main enemy(s), but have a spider area, or grawl area, or whatever. And usually they do a good job with that.

I have a male Ranger on an alt account, and now really hate the way he turned out. Dark green with the “sticks” hair. Being a little used toon on an alt account, I didn’t want to spend any resources on him. So he wears the free royal guard outfit, helm and all. Problem solved!

Saying “bring back monk” is not very helpful. You seem to want a healer, but how would a healer make its way through the open world to get to where it could help with challenging content such as Raids and Fractals? Or are they to be dependent on insta-80 boosts? I for one wouldn’t want a class dependent on other players in order to progress. There are an awful lot of players who run solo and/or don’t do content that would require a monk to back them up.

Also, while the devs (mostly) know about the GW1 monk, others don’t, so providing some insight into what you are asking for without comparing it to other games is helpful. So, if you’d said something along the lines of “I’d like a monk to heal but also with strong smite skills” and gave some examples, that would help.

Lastly, I don’t think it is a good idea for open world to be balanced around the need for a monk to complete it, not to mention what that does to WvW and PvP. Perhaps you don’t remember getting stuck at Thunderhead until a helpful monk came along…

PvP and WvW have their own forums here. If someone posts something in “general” that belongs elsewhere, then it is up to the mods to move it — which they do.

There are Achievements associated with crafting, so if you’re interested in AP, crafting will help.

I disagree that they are useless and already used the first level 50 I received. If they added functionality to them via combining into Level 80 or consuming for shards, that’d be okay.

I use the level 20/30’s for key runners, and use my tomes when I don’t have any scrolls.

Housing would be more like your Home instance, where only those few you invite can enter. A GH is freely entered by any guild member.

I’m not opposed to personal housing, it just seems pointless.

Yes, but you have modern vehicles, while Tyria still relies on dolyaks when there are no asuran portals.

That’s a long way to go via dolyak in so short a time, so I assume they will skip Vegas.

I save a few, vendor the cheap ones, sell the ones I can on the TP.

I wish Anet would just make them salvage into dust or something.

Perhaps so your Elementalist can look like a tank wearing Ironclad, or your Guardian wearing light armor via the Monk’s outfit?

I just found this one too ornate, too bulky, and face on the shoulder too disturbing.

I have many good outfits to choose from, so I can be picky now.

I like the idea of the fiery sword, but every time I transmute to it, I end up growing irritated with the constant flame and switch to something else. If you’re already using the icy version, then maybe that won’t be an issue for you.

With the invention of Outfits, I find that I rarely use any of the free skins now, which I mainly used when leveling up toons (and I have 31). I like the axe, and will use it if the look fits the toon.

I agree with the OP. I find myself sticking with a build since it not only means getting new gear, but also stowing away the old gear. If the stat system was simplified, or swapping stats was simplified, I would be open to experimenting. Right now it is easier to keep separate toons for each type of build. Easier stat-wise, but not easier to get them all geared and specced up.

I’m okay with underwater exploration, so long as there are no enemies.

My bank is not full, but I’d buy more bank slots and shared slots if offered. More opportunities to organize is a good thing.

Don’t put too much hope in those mounts. If you’re already using boosted speed, then the mounts won’t be improving upon that. PoF hasn’t been released yet, so we’ll see how it turns out.

You can get both expansions right now, begin playing in HoT now and play in PoF in about a month. The basic PoF is $30 and if you get HoT at the same time, that is another $20 (normally $30).

You can play PoF without HoT. But why miss out on gliding!?

I got mine in March for 400 gems.

I bought it this year, don’t remember exactly when. Other than Anet currently posting a schedule for the anniversary sales, we never know. Hopefully it will be offered for you during the anniversary, so keep watching.

There is a utility that will notify you when things appear in the gem shop. Google it, or wait for some nice soul who actually uses it to come along and provide a link.

But people complain endlessly about the (butt) capes in GW2! Too many capes already!
