I’d like to dress my sylvari as a flopping fish.
And where would that end? Would Anet then be expected to add a toggle for every single skill in the game?
I would assume if Anet added something to the MF for recipes, then you would get a recipe back. Much like tossing in 4 runes.
The wiki shows Perfected Rifle as being account bound, so how could you buy it?
I’m of the same mind as Flog: Core will remain the “trial” or F2P portion of the game, and all expansions will be included when you buy. Just think about it a bit and it makes sense to do it that way.
You can get to the Aerodrome from Lion’s Arch.
You should take that out to at least 12345678. You know, for security.
JAFWSibling passwords? What’s that? Nothing relevant pulled up on google.
You know, instead of using PASSWORD for everything, you mix it up. PASSWORD1, PASSWORD2, etc.
I did exactly that a while ago. Made the non-legendaries that were of interest, mass-sold the coins down to 500, and now sell any I get, keeping 500 for that “someday maybe” fund.
Lots of variables there. You’ve already tried Elementalist. You have 3-5 character slots, so make another to see if it fits you better. Personally, I like them all with Guardian and Ranger up there at the top and Mesmer and Revenant ranked lowest. But that’s me and my preferences.
What’s “top of the line” today may not be in three months, so no way to say for sure that what you start playing today will be “good” in the future. Google “meta battle” or “gw2 builds” and see what the top ranked meta builds are, since you seem to have some interest in them. Note the game modes and the professions in use and the builds. Those are builds for those very specific game modes – PvP, WvW, raids, etc. Last I remember looking there, nothing was for simple general play.
So set aside your elementalist and try another profession. If possible, don’t delete a toon since you get annual birthday rewards based upon when a toon was created. Not too big a deal if this is your first week, but months down the line…
HealixIf they had account gifts, it’d be for the account, not every individual character. Imagine the current implementation, except the account itself was treated as a character.
Understood, but it’s way too late to make such a change without the peasants revolting.
Just turn off your glider and you’ll go faster.
OP: There is a stickied thread for glider suggestions in the HoT forum, you’d best add yours if you wish it to be noted.
If it meant that I’d get the next year’s reward for the character I created a week ago along with all my other toons, then sure, why not? Hey, shouldn’t that new toon then get like 4 birthdays all at once?
Naw, I think we’re good as-is.
I assume you want the laptop for more than gaming? Or you game from various places? Otherwise, you pay a lot for that convenience (not to mention charging it, which only adds to the cost if not immediately paid off).
I’d think you could get a great desktop for half that.
I did, and picked the dagger, since my dagger skin choices have been slim. Too many greatswords, longbows, and staffs/staves/stuffs.
It’s been a long time since GW1 so forgive my lack of memory.
I did the Zaishen Challenge to earn Balthazar Faction, which can also be used for skill unlocks. I used the Faction primarily for keys though, for the title. You can do this with a solo ranger trapper. Google it, or look for it on the wiki, or post here if it is something you want to pursue.
I had 5 accounts and would multi-box on two PC’s to bring them all in and so get 5x the Faction per session and thus earn keys 5x faster. Yay for cheap copies of the game!
It’ll be good to be in the same time zone as my brother in Washington State, but yeah, I always have to pause and think if family is now the same time or an hour earlier.
Why in the world you guys would want another hour of sunshine is beyond me! :O
It’s good to be in Arizona.
Chests are per-character. I park my many alts next to a JP chest (or even a walk-up, like outside Black Citadel) when I’m done with them, so on a normal day I’ll have 15 toons collect the chest at the JP just inside Southsun Cove (the easiest one to get to, just step through the portal in LA).
Maybe I’ll buy a PowerBall instead.
It has no effect other than which piece of gear you get.
Next up: My first precursor?
It would only be immersive if you summoned him under water.
It’s been a few months, but I’ve leveled up with crafting. This from the wiki, which sounds about like what I’ve experienced:
“Crafting in a non-maxed discipline earns crafting experience (CXP). In addition, characters earn normal experience at the same time. Leveling a crafting discipline to 500 is equivalent to gaining 10 levels, while leveling to 400 gains approximately 7 levels.”
Last night I received Coalforge’s Weapon Chest from a jumping puzzle chest. I think it was Morgan’s Leap, if I’m thinking of the right character.
According to the wiki, that reward chest is available from:
Fractals of the Mists daily reward chest
Defeating Tequatl the Sunless
Guild missions
Exotic champion loot bags
WvW Rank chests
Of which I certainly did none of, since this toon is parked at that JP chest and opens it most every day. So did something change in-game? Or has this kind of reward always been available from a JP and I’ve only now gotten one?
No complaints whatsoever, of course!
You can gain levels by crafting, if that’s what you are asking. If you mean 1-80, that’s not so simple.
It’s best if you already have played a while and have a variety of materials in the bank. Otherwise, you end up buying so much off the trading post that it isn’t so attractive.
Google “GW2 crafting” and you’ll find guides.
It would’ve been more immersive to keep the glider normal size and transform the character into a worm.
Since what appeals to me may not appeal to you, I can only direct you to the wiki, to peruse the armor galleries. Each race plus male/female will look different. Then there are race-specific armors, and outfits in the gem store that anyone can wear.
Do you even see your character in Action Camera mode?
Today, actually. New glider and outfit (though the outfit is MIA right now).
If he doesn’t want to spend cash, he can convert gold to gems and buy that way.
No, HoT is required to use a glider.
Can you even buy a glider without HoT?
I’ve been using a Nostromo n52 for over 10 years and think it’s awesome. Razer offers something similar, as well as Logitech.
Edit: I guess I should note that I use a Logitech G300 cuz I’ve never liked buttons on the side. I only use the two extra buttons on the left, for jump and reverse. The rest of the controls are on the n52.

I haven’t noticed any difference.
I’m lost. What exactly is being discussed here?
Umm… isn’t everything smaller on asura? Except ears?
Does it really matter? Millions of players, many more millions of characters… sorry you’re not going to be unique. My initial engineer was/is a female sylvari, I have multiple asura rangers, and a couple of asura warriors.
So play what you want and don’t worry about what others are playing.
How could such an achievement work when events are constantly added to the game?
Be happy you get an achievement for 5000 events. You know, just for playing the game.
A little clarification please. Are you asking that all available dailies are displayed in the upper-right of the screen? Even WvW and PvP if you are not in those modes? Or you want them to remain after completing three? Or something else?
I made note of gold in my wallet at the beginning of LNY to see where I’d be at the end. 1315g at the start, estimating 1700g+ now (I haven’t collected it from the alt accounts yet).
Plus the usual assortment of junk. Heck, even I don’t know what’s in there!
Ascended is max stat-wise. Legendary has fancy looks/effects and adjustable stats – but not stronger stats.
Every zone scales your character, so you could go to a zone you haven’t completed and work on it while you reacquaint yourself with the game.
If you don’t have at least exotic gear yet, look that up on the wiki.
If your system’s old, then check the requirements for the card. I went out and blindly bought an upgraded video card only to discover my power supply wasn’t powerful enough for it.
When you reach level 80, you will have enough points to unlock them all, so ultimately it doesn’t matter.
While leveling up, read the traits on a line and unlock whatever sounds fun.
True, logging in less often results in fewer login rewards, such as mystic coins. But if a person is logging in less, then there should be less need for the rewards. If one is not logging in enough for such things, then how are they getting enough in-game rewards for everything else that those mystic coins might be used for? Excluding, of course, buying gold with gems to simply buy what’s needed off the trading post. But if that’s one’s philosophy, then why be concerned about the login rewards?
This game rewards focus. Advancing a character through the stories. Completing achievements. Participating in events, dungeons, fractals, etc. Without the focus, the dedication, the rewards will be less.
The game is what you make it. Invest the time, reap the rewards.
Hmmm, I thought all interesting NPC’s were killed off during the story. I must be forgetting someone… or Anet forgot to bump them off.
The plan is to have the Salma District (ie, Home) destroyed so that it can be rebuilt to accommodate player Housing, including a Stable for mounts, and a Vestibule (a place to store build templates).
Just buy it on Amazon?
Or just pay attention to general chat in most maps. People advertise there all the time for guilds. You can join up to 5, so can try them out to see if they fit.
Things work as-is. If they worked as you propose, I could take my level 5 to a level 80 zone, and my health etc would scale up. But I wouldn’t have any traits and if I had runes and other upgrades they would be based on low-level items, so my level 5 still would/should get trashed.
It ain’t broken. You can take a level 80 to a starter zone and get killed. Yes, you are more powerful, but you can’t just run with impunity. Isn’t that better than expecting a level 5 to be able to survive anywhere?
